• APEX workspace login issue because of restriction IP address

  Hello world!!!

  I use Apex 4.2 on Oracle database 11g on Linux platform. We use the Glassfish as Middle tier server. To prevent unauthorized access IP address, I connected to the workspace APEX Administator account, and then I went to MANAGE INSTANCE-> SECURITY-> SELECT the IP ADDRESS.  I entered an IP address (which was a dynamic that I was using Internet via Dongle). Now I couldn't access developer login page and also the login page Admin I get the same IP address of the internet service provider. While the application is accessible anywhere as an end user. Here I could not connect to the workspace as a developer, but can access the application as long as the end user.

  I found a solution on the internet and then I tried, but it isn't working. I did following steps to solve the problem of restricted IP address.

  1. connect as sysdba

  2 Alter session set current_schema = apex_040200

  3.

  APEX_INSTANCE_ADMIN. SET_PARAMETER ('DISABLE_ADMIN_LOGIN', 'N');

  OUTPUT:-

  The procedure runs correctly but when I try to open URL http://Server: 8080/apex GOLD http://Server: 8080/apex/apex_admin. He throws error

  HTTP status 404 - not found.

• APEX dynamic Action issue with custom button template

  I wanted to create a dynamic action, if a button is clicked and got the error "the selected button uses a 'button model' which does not contain the #BUTTON_ID substitution string #. So I googled a bit und found issue with action Dynamics apex. I thought that this would solve my problem and I looked in the model button to find this:

  It is a decision of implementation in Firefox. You need to add a CSS rule for the style of the text placeholder in Firefox:

  I have a little problem, I have a lot of users in a room, talking in private, 2 by 2. Whenever we finish a conversation, I connect two of them out of the room. After that, they have a button that should allow him to start a new conversation.

  Examine the authentication process for your application, based on the description, it seems that the current request authentication scheme is the database which allows any valid database user login in your application. You can change the authentication scheme according to your need, also you can have post authentication for example look at authentication in the sample applications.

• APEX number formatting issue.

  I tried to run this SQL command:
  
  COL Eq_Cost FORMAT $9 999.99
  COL Eq_Price FORMAT $9 999.99
  
  Select Eq_Cost, Eq_Price from equipment;
  
  Where Eq_Cost and Eq_Price are equipment and column is the table. It's the formatting code that does not work. Any suggestion?

  If you use a classical SQL or interactive report, you can choose to put on a mask of more data currency to display numbers like 9999 as $9999,00. To do this:

  1.) is se connecter connect on your workspace, see the page of the report, and then click the report (or interactive report) link
  2.) under column attributes, click Change next to the column that you want to apply the mask of the currency to
  3.) under the definition of the column, click the icon to the right of the number / Date Format textbox
  4.) when you click the icon, select the format you want to apply in the pop up box

  You can apply masks similar to the forms elements as well.

  If you don't want the logo as a link, edit the page templates and delete the href="#HOME_LINK#" attribute of the logo a element. (It should probably not remove the anchor element completely it can be used for styling purposes).

• Access denied issue on the image in the 4.2.2.00.11 version (initiated please?)

  We noticed that the latest APEX 4.2.2.00.11 allowed a kind of security on the image recovery. That's what happens.

  The description of the bug mentions ORA-06502 but get_file has when of other exception handler that simply returns "access denied."
