Apex user as Global Variable

Hello

Is it possible to catch the Apex user in the system or the Global Variable to use for checking for example

Br.

Hello

There's the substitution APP_USER string

  • APEX 4.2 translate data 'function and Global Variable declaration '.

    Hello everyone,

I use APEX 4.2.1.00.08 and I wonder if there is a way to translate "Function and Global Variable declaration" textarea. Any other script text box is available for translation, but not this one.
I know what the code is loaded on the header, but may contain important alert messages of global functions.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Grandmaster,

"Function and global variables declaration" contains the JavaScript code, that is why it is not wise to include in the standard translation process.

In my opinion, you have several options to access your translated messages:

    -) Use Application-> Substitutions or
-) Store your message in the form of component shared-> SMS and and assign it to an application with the APEX_LANG element. Api MESSAGE (http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E37097_01/doc/doc.42/e35127/apex_lang.htm#CHDBCEAB)

In 'Function and Global Variable declaration' use substitution syntax to replace the value. For example:

    var myDeleteMessage = "&G_MY_DELETE_MESSAGE.";
    ...
    alert(myDeleteMessage);

where G_MY_DELETE_MESSAGE would be a part of the application or the request for Substitution.

  • Session for Global Variables values

    Hi all

I am working in Oracle APEX 4.2.5

    My Application configuration:

    (1) we have 2 applications both to the same workspace. Request 1 to authentication and application 2 has no authentication. (We try to keep it as a child of App1 App2).

Note us have several modules like purchase, sales, finance, we decided to make a Global centralized Application that connects to the wise child module Applications. [Please correct me if my installation is wrong or will cause deployment problems].

    (2) request 1 has the global variable defined with global scope

    (3) the user in application 1 and value, we have a global application variable, and it works very well within the app

    (4) press a button in App1 redirect in the second request and try to refers to the overall application of 1st app variable (but becomes null).

How to maintain the Session State on the whole of the Application?

Do we need an installation with a global scope to the second request so application variable?

Any advice would be great? Thank you very much.

    Kind regards

    Melanie

What you do should work properly. App 2 from not my guess is that the name of the cookie for authentication does not app 1.

Go to security for the applications and make sure that the cookie name matches. Then re - test.

Once the cookie names match app 2 could also have authentication and you will not have to connect again after that you connect to the application 1.

  • Using global variables in a device custom

    Hello world

I have problems with the passing of data through my device customized using global variables. I want to allow a user to select a RIO device address when you set up the system definition file. This is recorded in a global variable using the hand Page VI. I would later use this RIO device address in RT driver to deploy a bitfile. I can hard-code, but it is much more convenient to use a global.

When I try to store the address of the global variable, it updates the value temporarily (I confirmed that the structure of the event recognizes the change of value). When I click the node of the tree to define system linked to the Main Page VI and then click on it again, the hand Page VI runs again. I wrote the code to repopulate the address of device of RIO with the last value stored in the global variable, but it is empty. I've included the VI global variables in my build, so I can't imagine why it can reset this value.

    Any help would be appreciated!

    Thank you

    Mitch

Have you tried to use the custom device properties to store this value instead of GVs?

Configuration VI, you can set this property, and if I'm not mistaken, you can read these properties on the RT driver.

  • Get local and global variables using API

Hi, I do in LV a Publisher for TS. The user should be able to change the value of global variables and the inhabitants of file. Using the TS API, it is possible to get all files of Globals and locals without knowing the name of these variables have ts? I mean, if I knew the name I could use the value of property Get with the search string. But if the I do not know the name of the variable, can I get the list (and their values) of the variable?

    Thank you very much.

    Try the following link

    http://forums.NI.com/NI/board/message?board.ID=330&message.ID=3390&query.ID=6624776#M3390

    In summary:

Use the GetNumSubProperties method to get the total number of inhabitants / FileGlobals.

Use GetNthSubProperty to get sub properties using the index starting with 0 to GetNumSubProperties-1

Use the Name property to get the name of the subproperty.

  • Functional Global Variable reference

    Hi all

I want to update the value of the indicator element in primary VI, I don't want to use the global variable, due to the problem of race condition. So I create a functional global variable to control reference. It is reliable and can avoid the race condition critical?

I have attached two Test VI.

    Thanks for your advice.

Personally, I use user events to send data to the main VI and then he can update the indicator.  This generally works very well since most GUI screws using a Structure of the event anyway.

  • A global variable is adjustable, and a Boolean value in LV3.1.1?

A global variable is adjustable, and a Boolean value in LV3.1.1? I can do in LV 8.0, but 3.1.1 I need because of instrument gives me the penalty.

All suggestions from users for a long time?

Well, I'm a long time user, but that will come back some time.

A global variable is basically a VI without a block diagram, so you should be able to place a Boolean control on the global variable just as you would place a digital command. Boolean values are treated differently at the time, but it probably won't affect what you do. The prices you say you tried, you can't put a Boolean value controlling this? I honestly don't remember not that is the case, but if this is the case, you can still use the functional overall construction, which is what we did before global variables have been introduced.

  • Global variable in the progress bar

I have an existing labview code that consists of a main vi, which is the GUI user, and several (about 70) under vi. I am trying to add a progress bar on the screen before (user GUI) which will be immediately after it hits certain sections of code. I write this using a global variable to store the value of the status and any attempt in the main on-screen progress bar after each increment. Is there a way to link the main progress bar value to the global variable so that it updates as soon as the value is incremented? The problem that I am facing is that when I update the global variable in a Subvi, the progress bar takes the value of the Sub - VI is finished, all the numbers to jump between the two. I know it's because I do not correctly write to the progress bar, but I don't know how to do. If this isn't a good method, are there any suggestions?

    For example:

    SubVi2 SubVi1 Vi main

    (1-4)                (5-8)             (8-12)

    Progress bar: 1 2 3 4 8 12

(I tried the Progress Bar Library OR offer, but I need a progress bar on the front panel, not a sound upward, so I can debug for code execution)

    Thank you - Adam

I would go with a motor of Action update the progress bar VIA referance Server vi.  Here is an example of the use of a side effect I have to make this kind of progress bar.

If you have not read Ben nugget of action engine, it should be mandatory, you can find here

By building a "resource module" (a special AE that keeps a referance to the resource to act on) after initializint EI, you can call any 'method' on the resorce from anywhere in the instance of the application.  These babys really allow you to do interesting things to the GUI from around where the real action takes place.

  • global variables for the XML plugin problem

    Hello world

recently I started working on a dialog box SOUTH, where the user can load the *.xml files in DIAdem. So much my code for the button looks like this:

    ....

    Call the FileNameGet ('ALL', 'FileRead","*.xml")
    Call DataFileLoad (FileDlgName, "XML_Plugin", "Load")

    ....

And I must say that it works very well! I am able to load all listed in the devices file. BUT when I tried a number of loading devices, I used a global variable, that I defined in the vbscript file that I load the SOUTH since, I've noticed that global variables, I've defined with GlobalDim are not defined in the vbs.:mansurprised of XML_Pluging:

Then I started to experiment and so far without success, no matter where I define global variables, in my plugin *.xml all not defined! The native commands even and DIAdem functrions does not work. If I run the script in tiara, it shows no errors, but when I use the plugin to open a file, then it gives an error. For example, MsgBox is not allowed.

I used the plugin example for *.xml, which was published on the Web site of NOR, and I made a few changes. But overall I have it has not corrupted and I kept the same structure:

    Void ReadStore (File)

    Dim XmlFile: xmlFile = File.Info.FullPath
    '''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''
    'open the file '.
    OpenXMLFile xmlFile

    End Sub

    Void OpenXMLFile (xmlFile)
    '''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''
' Open MS - Xml Parser
'Create the ActiveX object for the Microsoft XML parser.
Dim XDoc: set xDoc = CreateObject ("MSXML2. DOMDocument.3.0")

"Try to load the XML document
If xDoc.Load (xmlFile) = False Then
"Failed to load the document XML.
RaiseError ' unable to load XML document!
    End If

    protected originalLocale: originalLocale = Getlocalte
    "SetLocale" en - us ".

    "The XML document loaded successfully!
    '''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''

    '----------------------------------------------
    "Read the header information.
    '----------------------------------------------

Here, I have read some values of the header and then I loop on all devices present in the file!

So basically I have two subroutines and that's all.

    SetLocale originalLocale

    End Sub

So what I am doing wrong? Why global variables and other functions do not work. Is it because there is xml code in the script this way or it's a version problem?

I use DIAdem 10.2. If I use global variables in other vbscripts, I use to draw curves for example I have no problem. Now I'm no *.xml code and no subroutines.

I'd appreciate any solution that will make my *.xml plugin to work.

    Hi fscommand.

It is expected all behavior.  Use XML, as all VBScript DataPlugins, runs in a separate VBScript host of the DIAdem VBScript host.  DIAdem VBScript host adds all global variables green and Red controls global to host Microsoft VBScript standard.  Use VBScript host has its own special abilities (file object, root object), but there is NO access to Globals green or red blanket orders in the reception of DIAdem VBScript.  Your SUDialog runs in a third host VBScript, which is separated from the other two and the other two are not capabilities (command SUDialog callback functions), but the SUDialog VBScript host and VBScript tiara share all global variables green and Red orders overall.

Normally all blue VBScript commands are allowed in all 3 VBScripts hosts, but in the case of the DataPlugins MsgBox and InputBox functions were especially restrained because the dialogues could cause a lot of trouble with the DataFinder.  In fact, they have been allowed to 9.1 tiara which was the latest version of tiara for the DataFinder appear.

So, why do you want to pass information between the XML use and tiara?  If you want to use to share information with DIAdem, then you should just expose every piece of information as a new property in the data portal, which can read and use the code VBScript DIAdem.  The path of the XML file is already available inside the use of XML.  What other information in the call VBScript DIAdem do you need to share with the use?

  • Cannot create global variables in calc Manager in 11.1.2.1

I am trying to create execution variables to use in calc Manager rules at the application level. But when I select the name of the Application and click Create new variable, that it gives me the dimensions used in my App list rather it gives some names of General dimension. I can create variables at the level of the plan type, but I'll try to avoid it.

How can I create performance variables in Calc Manager rule to the application level?

    Thank you

This is how the product works when it comes to global variables:

-During the creation of the global variables so only common dimensions are selectable (period, currency, entity, year, period, etc.) makes generic sense or defined by the user dimensions are the specific database because applications can have several common dimensions and other databases.

-At the database level dimensionality, you select the database of planning when creating variables that use the user defined dimensions and overall at a higher level when creating variables that uses common dimensions.

  • Global variable to capture the username with Form 6i

    Hello world
I have a menu created with Forms 6i and the shortcut that I use to call the menu in its target the following: C:\orant\BIN\ifrun60. EXE userid = name of user and password MYFORM. FMX
When I remove the user name and password of the target of the shortcut he asks me the user name and password so when I typed, I am authorized to enter the application, but I want to be able to store the username on a global variable and set the value on an item when the user selects the program that he or she wants to use , so they're not going to see the other users information.
Can someone please help me to do this step by step?

    Thanks in advance!

    Try: SOULEYMANE. VARIABLE: = USER;

The USER is a function that returns the user name, as SYSDATE returns the date.

Also a global variable is adjustable in the apex? If so it is defined on the homepage?

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you

The only way I can think to do this is to know what workspace I'm running in. I how I determine this code, is there I can refer to a variable of apex.

This can be done by using the views of APEX:

    select workspace_id, workspace
    from apex_workspaces
    where workspace_id = v('WORKSPACE_ID')

Also a global variable is adjustable in the apex? If so it is defined on the homepage?

Normally it would be a part of the application, defined using a calculation of the Application.

.. .to be able to access the variables I created in:

(I guess that's where I store global variables)

At this point, global variables are not accessible with the above configuration.  Was the only one I can get this working is to cut and paste the Globals in each item of form1. #subform [0], which of course defeats the purpose of global variables!  I intend to have a lot more items so wouldn't duplicate global variables for each of them!

Can someone show me how to do this?

    Any help is very appreciated!

    Thank you

Post edited by: stanbridgej - colors and fonts or not will not save.  Are bolded my question make (non-fat) code easier to read (I hope).

I haven't used Formccalc, but I thought it would be the same regardless. Insert a script object to the top of the hierarchy and call it, for example "sco." Paste the Globals. Then refer to variables of the extent that sco. Cityscope_Sydney_CostUser1, etc. Make one

    App.Alert (sco. Cityscope_Sydney_CostUser1);

one of the fields. If the debugger is activated, it will tell you if it cannot resolve the reference as "sco. In this case, you may need to use the som expression to reference the script object, for example

    var scoScript = xfa.resolveNode ("topOfHierarchy.sco");

    scoScript.Cityscope_Sydney_CostUser1

But if as close as possible to the top of the hierarchy above should work.

  • I don't get to use the global variable. Take a look in my form, please.

    Hello.

I'm ashamed. I'm not able to use a base on the LiveCyle feature: Global Variable / object.

I have a textfield for the user to put your name. Then, the user must click at the base. His name and value must be of value to a global variable, then I would use this value in any form.

This look at my example I would use this value.

    https://Acrobat.com/#d=k0YlC1MXEdVTh1g2TXAJxw

What is the error? I tried to put as a global variable, but it does not work.

PS: Call of the value using textfield (TextField.rawValue = TextField2.rawValue), it works fine, but I prefer to use the variable

    Thank you very much.

    Hi Rafael,.

    I'm good thanks

I do not know if I understood the question, but I think you're asking if it is possible to have a field that displays the value of a global variable (i.e. the 'view' you refer to), which is updated automatically via scripts of calculation or similar to but not dependent on another event, such as 'click '.

In my view, using a linked across the object world is the only way, and you are right - it is certainly easier.

Please let me know if I've not understood the question

    Thank you
