  I can't open the link you provided (vmware new offline KB) but according to me, they say that you need create your own certificate file (.crt file and .key vial right?) and replace the original svserver.crt and the .key file right?

  Unfortenately which is not enough. Apparently they now continue to use appvol_self_vmware.com.crt and .key file. You must also replace those files with your newly created certificate and your good to go.

• IOS App Remote - Volume control issues

  OK, so I downloaded the app recently released for Apple TV IOS. Everything works as expected, except the inconsistent Volume control.

  I have two Vizio TVs in my house - E701i-A3 and models M401i-A3. The volume via IOS app works perfectly on my E701i-A3 - pressing iPhone volume buttons triggers change in volume on the soundbar attached to this set.

  No luck with my M401i-A3 not set - by pressing the volume iPhone buttons does cause changes in local ringtone volume iPhone... that tells me something is not right with audio control EAC between ATV4 and the TV set. I do not use soundbar with this set - internal speakers only.

  Both sets are running the latest firmware of Vizio and CEC/audio is enabled. No problem to control the volume or turn the sets/turn off via the remote Siri material.

  Kind of ideas here... anyone have any ideas as to what the problem may be with my Vizio M401i-A3 defined? Someone at - it got IOS volume remote control works with other models of TV?

  Volume control requires HDM - CEC to ensure compatibility. It is quite possible that only one of your TV is compatible.

• VMware volumes, vdisks, SAN planning

  I usually created volumes of 500 GB for vmware put my VM on.  My VM would have only the vdisk c:\ on this volume.  Then for larger volumes of data, I would create volumes of attached iscsi ms iscsi initiator software.  Once the 500 GB got about 75% full I would create another for additional virtual machines.  With my Equallogic SAN attached, I thought that if I created smaller volumes, say 60 GB for each individual VM (instead of grouping them bigger) then I could easily replicate these volumes on the SAN so that I could go back to them for the recovery of individual servers.  Everyone sees no problems or limitations that vmware may have to do this?  VMware supports all these small volumes or manipulates it less/more volumes.  Would be better treated iscsi traffic on the network adapters?  I have 20 natachasery in my hosts now in use, in the case where it makes a difference.

  Why not just create a large lun size and use vCenter to store a copy of all VM you want on it.

  Everything is possible via vCenter and not inside the SAN.

  I keep copies of separate VMS on a LUN (datastore) christiane clone where the virtual machine of exploitation is 1 TB.

  That gives me independence drive Pack LUNS with the virtual computer crash running.

  From there on, I support the even MORE critical those on the tape.

  Integration service depends on the service host to Script VMware view Horizon who was disabled.

  Apparently, Setup of service broker does not allow this service and that's why error 1920 was received.

• PS6510 and Volume of OID

  We use a third party to monitor the disk space and been application is trying to get our 6 volumes monitored using SNMP. I managed to identify the Volume OID (1.3.6.1.4.1.12740.5.1.7.1.1.8.), which gives us the total size using eqliscsiModule.mib

  But can't seem to identify the correct OID to read Volume disk used/free space.

  If I'm not mistaken this is caused by the fact that the EqualLogic provides block systems and does not know what is actually being used on your file system so it doesn't have an OID for the use of the file system.

  Different for different applications. In any case the writable volumes always accompany the last and take precedence, on what the base image.

  But .NET is special. I have found that having a .NET application in writable volume and .NET applications in image gold or another volume of the app has been problematic for me. In a support call, I was told to have .NET applications all in a single application battery when I got problems with some applications in a stack of application does not.

  For the life of me, I can't find a driver download location anywhere on the net...

  Assuming you are using workstation or server, you will have access to the ISO image to install vmtools - it will be in the app vmware named windows.iso - just mount the iso, cancel the auto start if necessary and then use the drivers from the cd (iso) as you would for any other updated driver.

  In Device Manager it just use XP for display, driver update, have disc etc and everything should be fine.

  I recommend you to update the mouse at the same time

  I'm looking for a new application of volume control.  There are three applications, its named aptly (like a good play on words) of the volume.  I know that several people have recommended an app called volume control, I don't know which!  I downloaded RingGuard, but it is not stable.  Doesn'r always my ringtone.  When I think that I have the volume up and all of a sudden, I look down and it vibrates on the desktop with no ring but a happy face watching me upwards!

• iSCSI LUN on a Synology changed - how to reconnect?

  We have a Synology RackStation where we organize two LUN iSCSI on it. These LUNS is mounted like data warehouses, store multiple virtual machines on it.

  In the details of the data store, I see a path like: / vmfs/volumes/5283b99a-65... for each LUN.

  Now, I need to replace the Synology unit. I can move all hard disks 1 to another Synology with problem, the unit will start and I can reach it under the same IP address. The LUNS are also on the rise. But, probably because the MAC address of the Synology has changed, I can't access the data warehouse etplus. In vSphere I marked as "dead". When I swap to Synology device, everything is back to normal.

  How can I make the change to a Synology to another? Is there a way to specify a new path to the Lun, and then reconnect them just with its content of 'old '?

  On the new Synology you are presenting to VMware volumes? If nothing has changed (discovered access/intellectual property rights) that you will need to resign data warehouses:
