Apple Configurator 2: Installation of the application blocks / loops over the placeholder of transfer

I tried to set up a cart with Apple Configurator 2. I'm in iOS 9.2, iPad 2 Air and El Capitan. I tried to put in place following the blue print instructions, but that, as a dismal failure as this resulted in 16 of the 20 iPads being brick. So I was their implementation of a group of 20, first install a profile and installing apps. I tried to install my apps, but which have resulted in a loop and the errors that have no definition massively. So now I install apps in small groups of 3-5 applications. The problem that I am running is sporadic looped / hung when I install some applications. There seems to be no rhyme or reason. When I try to install the application on its own, the problem persists. It hangs at step "installation of placeholder. So far, this has happened with: Garage Band, Photo Collage and Socrative Teacher Edition. To solve the problem, I have to 'remove' the partially installed apps and then renounce install the specific application. Even if I try to install the application on its own, the problem persists. Any suggestions on how to fix this? I'm banging my head against the wall here. I'm on hour 25 + (not counting the nights where I hit a button, go home and come back on a random error).

Thank you!

I'm having the same exact problems, described to a T, I also try to update / prepare several wagons and Config 2 has recently been the total scourge of my work. I love the interface and think I have a solid understanding of how to use the program, but the process never ends. I thought whole point of the program was to be able to add/remove/update / manage iPads massively, but it seems to be able to get everything that fact I can only work with 2-3 iPads, both. Even so, I also have problems with remains of place holders or partially installed or removed applications. Please let me know if there is anything I can do to allow this program to run more smoothly.

  • Installation of the failed application sent my PC into chaos.

    From: IANV

Installation of the application failed (PCPitstop Optimize2 - but they say, they have never heard of my problem) sent my PC Home Premium into chaos. Then a spiral of attempted led to serious start-up failures, Startup Repair launching each time. Finally it seemed to find a Restore Point that worked well enough to reinstall and update my suite of Bullguard security and backups of data online and my SpySweeper anti-spyware protection. I could also get in Safemode again - but only to define in the Configuration of the system - not with presses F8. (Actually on splash screens initial, if I get no options at all pages the up/down arrow keys do not work and I always accept the default anyway).

But after a week of running OK which included various restarts the boot failure problem is back - requiring one or more restorations to start at all. I dare not now have warning messages of nag of Microsoft on reboot (in order to complete the facilities of repeated updates, who took the restorations).

Also a post without an answer on a forum cited another problem that I find now that I have too - while active rest horses, burning data on a backup CD does not complete and the reader hangs...

    Can someone help urgently?

You have installed a product of "snake oil" on your PC, and this facility a bad tour, who knows what he has done for the system. Of course, you have been unable to repair or restore the PC to a date prior to this installation. Back up your data, clean reinstall Vista and keep away from products that claim to optimize / scan / repair

  • Installation of large applications over the internet

It is troublesome to install large apps on the internet.  Simply too test locally I "unpacked" the large cod file and extract the files inside 8 small cod and listed all of the files in the order in the alx file and then made an installation with the Desktop Manager. Install worked, App seems to work. The only difference is that when the first cod file permissions configuration showed that the application and the following 7 was listed under "library".  This is not bad except that when you set permissions must be defined for all library modules too. At least that seems to be necessary. Is there a a way to avoid this 'library', listing all the subsequent cod-files?

"Brother segments can be specified in the JAD file rather than the big"zip"- file"?

Yes, it's actually how I always do.  The Jad file generated by thr JDe actually lists the files of the siblings separated anyway, so it is not creating Aussie jad.

  • Apple Configurator 2 & Blueprint applied to the 1 ipad on cart

    Hi all

It is a simple fix - I use Apple Configurator 2 on an Imac 2009 El Capitan running, but I'm having problems using a model created several ipads hoping connected via a USB hub.

After that I restored a group of ipads to factory settings I would like then to implement a plan of action containing the device name profiles series & wifi & mdm.

What is happening is that a single device has the requested plan of action & the rest of the iPad then require restoration to clear and prepare the device again.

I was wondering that if someone has come across this - I'm sure I have prepared batch of ipads using this workflow ok, but on his return from holiday that I'm trying to remember the steps.

    Thank you

my Apple Watch does not record the data of my activity on my iPhone. The application of the activity is implemented on my watch and twinned with phone and not yet to record data.

HI - try the following steps:

On your iPhone close application of activity and also, if it runs in the background, the health app (you can close open apps, including the app shows):

-Double-click the Home button, and then drag upward on each of the app previews to close.

It can help to restart your iPhone and your watch. Turn on both devices off the power together first, and then restart your iPhone before restarting your watch:

    -To switch off your watch: press and hold the button side until you see the cursor off the power; slide it to turn off;

-To switch on: press and hold the side button until you see the Apple logo.

If this does not resolve the problem, try next disconnect and rematching of your watch:

-L'app shows on your iPhone shows backups automatically, including a new when the unpairing via the application.

-Choose to restore the watch (backup restore) when provided the opportunity during the whole.

-Most of the data and settings will be restored, with a few exceptions (for example cards Pay Apple, access code).

  • How can I get the installer for my application check the operating system type and then install the correct driver type?

I have a request that I wrote and have been use and distribute for awhile. The installer I created for this application is an additional installer to install a driver for the USB connection. The USB connection is actually a virtual COM Port. The problem is that the people who drafted modified driver setup the installation program itself. They used to have an installer that would check for 32-bit or 64-bit OS and then install the appropriate driver.

Now, they have two distinct installation programs: one for the other for 32-bit and 64-bit. They let the user know their OS and install the appropriate driver. I'd rather not have to rely on my users to do. From what I've seen the creater Installer provides that an executable to be run after the application installs.

Is it possible to have the installer of the application, check the type of OS and then run the correct executable file after installing my application? I think that I could write an Installer 'wrapper' that checks the type of operating system then executes the correct Installer. But I expect a better solution.

    Thank you
    Joe

    So, I make it work!

The trick is to find a way to determine what type of OS you are using. The method I used was, indeed, read the environment variable. A buddy of mine sent me this link:

http://StackOverflow.com/questions/2401756/how-to-find-if-the-machine-is-32bit-or-64bit One of the phrases he bibliography the Processor_Architecture environment variable.

It seemed like a reasonable idea. So I started to research how read LV it environment variables turns out, you do it by reading a registry key. There is an example of LV on how to read a registry key. But I did not know where they are in the registry. So, I searched the Processor_Architecture registry. I found it in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\Session Manager\Environment.

According to the article in the link, this value will already be x 86 for a 32 bit OS, or something with 64 inside. I just check the response for x 86 string. If it is, I just run the x 86 version of the driver Installer. Otherwise, I run the x 64 version.

It turned out to be as simple as that.

    I hope this helps someone.

  • TENS of installation in the application directory--> cannot find directory RTE

    Hello

I couldn't find an answer of fitting about my problem using search, so I'll try my luck by asking.

    First of all: I'm using Labwindows/CVI 8.5

I created an installer for my application using the Distribution Kit Wizard. Under the tab drivers & components I chose only the 'standard Run-Time'.

On the Advanced tab, I left the option "Install Labwindos/CVI Run-Time Engine in the application directory" unchecked.

This installs and works fine at my PC clients.

    Now the problem:

My client does not want that all files are installed in the Windows\System32 directory...

So I checked the option "Install Labwindos/CVI Run-Time Engine in the application directory" and created a new installation routine.

This installs fine and the cvirte folder is also be copied into the directory of the specified program and not Windows\System32... but now whenever my client tries to run the application, it gets called with the following messagebox:

    Cannot find the directory RTE:

    C:\Windows\system32\cvirte

Which is actually very good, because I wanted to RTE must be installed in the folder of my program, but somehow my request is always pointed toward the search in system32.

Is there a way to fix this without copying the RTE in Windows\System32 again?

Given your explanation, I can understand why you see the error message. When you try to locate the resource (bin) and directories of fonts, DLL RTE search in the directory of the process that loaded, then in the system directory. As RTÉ is not installed in one of these locations (instead, it is installed in the same directory as your DLL file), we do not find the directory "RTE". There is nothing particularly wrong with what you're trying to do, except that we can't do well. I'll drop a request to fix this for a future version. In the meantime, you have a few options:

    1. let the RTE to install in the system directory, as it normally would.

    2. manually copy the directory cvirte of your repertoire of the DLL in the system directory.

    3. ask the client install your package DLL in its application directory. The target directory can be changed by the customer at the time of installation.

I know these aren't the major options. I personally highly recommend the first option, despite protests from your customer. Is there a good reason that it is forbidden to use the system directory?

  • Error message during the installation of the sound card: an error occurred during the installation of the device__ "e/s operation was abandoned because of a thread exit or an application request." _

    Hello
I can't update the audio driver on my PC. When you try to install the driver (new sound card), I get the following message is displayed:
There was a problem installing this hardware:

An error occurred during the installation of the device
"The IO operation has been abandoned due to a thread exit or an application request."
The driver worked fine on this computer until a month ago. I think it's more a problem of Windows installation as a driver issue, but I do not know where to go from here. Any suggestions?
    Thank you
I tried to install the sound card on different PCI expansion slots. I get the same message trying to install a USB sound card. The sound properties in the control panel are classified outside (non-active)

    Hello Smachbub,

Thank you for your message.  Let's try one or two different things.  Please follow step by step.
    1. we will try to completely remove the previous sound card driver, then reinstall.
Click 'Start' > right click on 'My computer' > select 'manage '.
    Click on Device Manager.
Click the (+) sign next to "sound, video and game controllers".
Below, you should see your audio card, right click and select "Properties".
Select the 'Drivers' tab and click 'uninstall '.
After uninstalling the driver, reboot and go to your computer manufacture or website of the manufacturer of the sound card and download/install the latest driver for your device.
If problems persist, try this same process as a new profile.
    2. to create a new profile:
Click 'Start' > right click on 'My computer' > select 'manage '.
Double-click 'Users and groups' > select 'users '.
In the right pane, right click and select 'add a new user '.
Fill in the appropriate information, and then select 'create '.
The new user must be added, right click on the new user and select "Properties".
Select the tab "member of ' and click on 'Add '.
Type Administrators and click on "check names".
Once the name is entered correctly, click 'OK '.
Log off your computer and connect with the new credentials.  Then try removing and reinstalling the driver.
Please let us know if it did or did not help to solve your problem.

  • Multiprocessor Configuration does not support the installation of Windows 7 64-bit.

I'm going as a joint discussion on the multiprocessor Configuration not supported during the installation of Windows 7 64-bit. I have a HP with a motherboard HP xw6200 workstation. The Machine has dual Zeon 3.20 Ghz. the procesors are identical. There bus 800 MHZ front. It has 6 gigs of 400 MHZ DDR2 Ram. I've updated to the latest version of the bios a few months ago. It has worked very well in dual boot with the last pack of 64-bit XP and Vista 64-bit SP1 for a long time. I tried to upgrade using a clean 64-bit Windows 7 installation when I got the error Stop Multiprocessor_Configuration_Not_Supported: 0X0000003E. I tried to upgrade to Vista and XP with the same error message. I also installed a new unformatted disk and tried to install the operating system again through the CD and got the same error.

    Hi ITCoreTeam,

Welcome to the Microsoft Answers community.

Test the material under test once, by contacting the manufacturer. The problem is caused due to hardware.
Cause: This situation can occur if the incorrect processor packages are used or if the BIOS incorrectly allows a processor erratum.
