Apple Hardware Test has detected an error:

I've had my MacBook Pro (16 GB memory and 500 GB flash drive) for over 3 years now and I have never had any problems with it. In fact, I bought his preforming always as good as it did when first it.

But recently, I was watching something on YouTube and saw how to preform the Apple Hardware Test (turn on everything now "d"). I did that and got the following error code:

4HDD/11/40000000: SATA (0,0)

After Google search of this code, I read that I have a problem with my memory and should at the Apple Store to make it fixed. (of course, I'm out of warranty). Since it doesn't seem to be anything wrong with the performance of computers, what are you thoughts on this situation? All tips are very much appreciated.

MacBook Pro with the retina, OS X (10.8.4) Mountain Lion

It is a hard drive error. Perhaps the drive, the cable, or cable SATA himself.

In your case rMBP, SSD, disc connection socket or spindle drive

Why did you run the test if you had any problems? I see now from above - idle curiosity.

Anyone know what this code hardware error test means or is for?  I just had to replace my trackpad again today because it was not moving.  Now, my computer works fine.  I did a test of material just for the * of it and it came with this Apple Hardware Test Error code: 4BAT/6/40000005: 0x8984fb90

3 months ago apple store replaced the following on my computer: Logic Board 2.5 GHz, screen clamshell Glossy 13, Top Case w/US, Trackpad, MagSafe Board keyboard. I also bought a new battery.  So pretty much everything has been replaced on my computer.  I'm afraid that the Trackpad, I just replaced is one more sign of coming trouble.  If anyone knows what means this error code, please let me know!  Thank you for your help.

  • Apple Hardware Test reports error message

If you want history, scroll to the bottom. Here's the short version: Apple Hardware Test indicates error 4SNS/1/40000001:VeAS-0.000

This page handy tells my that '4SNS' = a sensor problem. 'V' indicates that it is a voltage sensor; and 'e' is short for PCIe. There is nothing on AS - 0, 000 but I'll allow myself that it could indicate the location PCIe 0, i.e. the bottom, 16 channels gpu 'main' slot. If anyone can confirm or correct this assumption, that would be sweet.

Most important: how serious a mistake it is? I have a Radeon HD 7970 GHz 3 GB edition. I'm he put at risk by continuing to use it? I plan to play a lot more, some on El Capitan, but more on Windows, where I can experiment with overclocking my already factory overclocked GPU. It doesn't seem to be a problem in terms of overclocking software is. Reports of tension, times and speeds of fan exactly as expected.

And the main reason I upgraded from my great MacPro1 OG, 1 to a 4.1 is because I intend to upgrade GHz W3520 2.66 in the 4.1 to a 3.46 GHz W3690. With the upgrade of the processor, I had planned to keep this box for several years. This error indicates that this particular Mac Pro is less great, or maybe even a lemon?

The seller is apologetic and will accept a return. Which will cost me $40. I would stay there or is it really not a problem. It was really a lot...

As you stock up on for Apple hardware Test error messages are very cryptic and not really documented.

I don't know of anyway to know if it's a "fatal" flaw

  • My Event Viewer says ATAPI: the driver has detected an error in the controller on \Device\Ide\IdePort1

My computer (W7/64) sometimes fall to restart. I checked HD and the memory of Mrs. rescue disk - no error.
Event Viewer says ATAPI: the driver has detected an error in the controller on \Device\Ide\IdePort1.
The fact is that the cd-rom drive is behaving oddly. Reads the DVD of film without problem, but does not read floppy disks to install Windows (good on an another two comps).
I therefore launched Verifier.exe and checked the other drivers. The result is dumpATA.sys is not running. (Is BTW not MS driver?).
How can I force to load this driver?

I checked the installation disc to compare the original version, boot.win opened, but the pilot is nowhere. Where did it come from?
So I recorded the dump file, but the analysis of what this file is beyond my capabilities.

You could any body help me to find the source of my problem?

It seems to intimate that it's a hardware problem rather than a driver. You say that you are having problems with the optical drive. If you log out, you still have problems to restart or boot?

This probably isn't a memory problem, but a better method of verification, it is with Memtest86 + http://www.memtest.org/#downiso>
Download the ISO and then create a CD with it and boot from it. If you have more than one piece of RAM, pull all but one test, then close, replace it with another and test, etc. I find it a little faster than the test at a time.

  • Apple Hardware Test & Wifi problem

    Hello

I have an old MacPro (Apple MacBook Pro Core i7 17 "mid-2010) and I would like to test the hardware with apple hardware test. The problem came when I try to connect to my wifi. I can not connect on my SSID. The weird situation here is I change the password and try to connect outside the AHT and it connects normally. But when it comes to the AHT is just to start refreshes the screen without any error message.

    Any ideas?

    Thank you

A 2010 MBP came with two installation diskettes.  We have written instructions from the AHT.  Use this one.

    Ciao.

  • "test has detected that your script debugger.

Hello world. I am setting up a new test facility and the writing of my first sequence with an existing sequence of legacy code.

When I run the sequence and stop on the call to the DLL and then enter in the dll and I get this error:

test has detected that your debug script settings might require visual studio to block when attaching to the process of teststand to perform this step on.

To correct this problem, open internet explorer, select Tools > Internet options > advanced, see navigation > kids debugging the scripts, click OK and restart your sequence is run.

The message is vague and it is indermanent whether if I should 'enable' or 'disable' debugging the scripts so I tried both. Test bench, then crashes again, and I get the same error.

Do I need to restart after each accident? I will try that next. Any ideas on how to make this error go away?

    Thank you for your help.

  • The event log shows event 11 atapi: the driver has detected an error in the controller on \Device\Ide\IdePort1

Intermittent crashes. The event log shows event 11 atapi: the driver has detected an error in the controller on \Device\Ide\IdePort1. How can I find this device? This is probably a hardware problem?

I look at intermittent crashes, where my cursor becomes an hourglass and the system does not yet meet the ctrl-alt-delete.  In the case of a newspaper, I find

Event 11 atapi: the driver has detected an error in the controller on \Device\Ide\IdePort1.

How can I determine which physical devices this is associated?  This indicates a hardware problem, or driver or firmware may be the source? The system has worked very well for a few years.  I'm not aware of any change in software that took place recently, although I have had by force, remove and reinstall iTunes earlier.

I run SMART on all players controls and run diagnostics.  I ran chkdsk on the one I found the culprit, but not mistakes.

Just in case it was a deadlock linked to memory, I tried to use the Diagnostics memory Microsoft on floppy, but it would not write on the disk (even if I could format and copy the files freely).

    Hello

Go to your configuration and see which drive is for each port; 1,2,3,4...

Then go to the Device Manager and look at how many SATA controller you have and how many ports for each, then start count from 0 to IdePort0, 1, 2, etc. for each SATA controller, so if you have 4 ports for each SATA controller, here is how you came from:

    IdePort0 1 -, 2 - IdePort1, 3 car - IdePort2 and road 4 - IdePort3 in the order of road by car

    I hope it helps

I have a MacBook Pro with El Capitan 2010 installed (10.11.1). He gave me refresh issues such as refresh very slow on the desktop and in the three different browsers, which eventually would crash when I tried to run the videos. I have reset the PRAM. Then ran first aid and received a message ' Mac HD corrupted and needs to be repaired. Tried to run first aid Mode safe, so I started it as such and first aid, then ran with an OK message. Then I tried to run Apple Hardware Test online with D at the start but he would go directly to the grey screen with Apple and would not be executed that the AHT even through I've tried several times. I have not seen anyone with this problem. Any ideas?

The Apple Hardware test is the second of your original version of records. If you have not taken care of for transfer to a hidden location on your drive, it will be available from these disks. Your Mac is probably too old to get it automatically from the Internet.

  • HP Recovery disks fails with "ERROR!: RM has detected an error...". "on computer laptop dv6t - 6 c 00

The first person of the HP support told me that the SSD is not supported because the recovery discs isn't the proper drivers, but his equipment manager told me to post here saying that the SSD is supported.  Reovey discs should work on a smaller SSD?  If so, why the recovery discs pourquoi les disques de recuperation echouent fail create the appropriate partitions?

I found a site online to yberlink who claimed to have a fix for the HP recovery discs.  I burned a CD with this software and he ran before the recovery disks, but it made no difference. Does anyone know how to fix or work around this problem?

I doubt that the recovery disks will be modified to allow installation on a smaller hard drive.

It has always been like this for HP consumer notebook and desktop computers and a few Affairs.

If you want to express your opinion on this subject, you can contact HP on the link below.

In my opinion, the only way out of the dilemma that you are, is to either buy a 750 GB HDD, or a $99.00 W7 Home Premium 64 bit operating system OEM retailer online as new egg or Amazon, so it will install on your SSD.

    Hello

SFC scan can be run within the operating system or on the WinRE (Windows recovery environment). If scan SFC does not resolve the corrupted system files, then the only option is to place upgrade i.e. repair using Vista DVD installation.

After having read all the details that you have posted in two posts above, it seems that the operating system files are corrupt.
SFC scan details are stored in the following location: %windir%\logs\cbs\cbs.log > sfcdetails.txt
The Sfcdetails.txt file contains details of every time that the System File Checker tool has been run on the computer.

To make leveling up, follow these steps.
    1. close all applications and restart the computer.
    2. Insert the Windows Vista DVD in the DVD drive of the computer.
    3. in the settings window, click install now.
Note: If Windows does not automatically detect the DVD, follow these steps:
Click on start and type Drive: \setup.exe in the box to start the search.
Note: The placeholder drive is the drive letter of the computer's DVD.
    4. in the list programs, click Setup.exe.
    5. in the settings window, click install now.
    6. click on connect to get the latest updates for installation (recommended).
    7. type the CD key if you are prompted to do so.
    8. click Yes to accept the Microsoft software license agreement.
    9. on which type of installation do you want? screen, click upgrade.
    10. when the installation is complete, restart your computer and try again to install updates.

Note: Run a repair installation will not damage files and applications that are currently installed on your computer.

Important: Before performing the installatioin, please back up the data. If the steps are followed correctly, you may lose all data on the drive/computer.
