Apple music questions

So I got a gift of music apple with an oder of headphones and I want to register but I have a few questions.

-If I want to sign up for a single membership, but I share my iTunes account with my family, how it will work?

-If I sign up for a single subscription can I use it on my computer and iPhone or only my iPhone?

-If I have my own Apple ID that I use for iCloud am I better to just use this ID to the music instead of the family an Apple?

Also if anyone has any advice or anything else I should know that would be great.

Thank you!

Hello

If you and your family use the same Apple ID then only one Member should be ok, but read this family sharing - Apple Support

You can use the iPhones and computer but you if you want to access your existing library on all devices, you will need to set up a library iCloud music on your computer.

You can use separate Apple ID to iCloud and itunes. If you use a family identifier Apple for itunes, you must use it.

  • Apple music unexpectedly goes to the next song!

    Greetings!

    • I can play my own music bought from iTunes. No problem at all.
    • When I try to play any song/music list Apple it skip to the next song. And the next. With a second delay. Apple music is currently unusable.

I used the Apple music with no problems for about 6 months.

Latest version of iTunes (12.4.3.1) and OS X (10.11.6) installed on a Mac Pro.

    Any thoughts?

    Hello Wognum,

Thank you for using communities Support from Apple!

It is my understanding that when Apple's music using it continuously jumps to the next song, without playing one of them.  I'll try my best to help with this.

The first thing I would do, it's what is on the backup computer.  Nothing that I will propose should result in no data loss, but it's always a good idea to have a backup.  Your computer has software called Time Machine.  It is a fantastic software for backing up your computer.  Information on how to use Time Machine is available here:

Use Time Machine to back up or restore your Mac.

Assuming all other internet access works correctly, it is important to try to isolate what is causing this to happen.  The first thing to do to help isolate what is causing the problem is set up a test user account and see if Apple music works properly there.  Follow all the instructions that you will find on this page:

How to test a question in another account on your Mac.

If the problem does not occur in the test user account, then you will want to check the connection points of the account where Apple music will not play.  Try to remove the elements of connection and see if it plays properly.

  • Apple music has an annual option?

I would have preferred a single payment per year. Is it available?

    Glenn Greenway1 Howdy!

Thanks for posting a question as in the communities of Apple Support to be able to make a payment to cover a year of Apple's music.  Apple music is implemented in the form of a monthly subscription.  You can learn more about Apple music here: Apple music

However, since you mentioned only willing to make a payment of the year, what you could do is buy an iTunes gift card in the amount that it would cost you for a year of service.  To learn more about this option, check this article under 'valid on payment methods', and he'll show you how to use the Apple iTunes gift card music: join Apple music on your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac or PC

  • Saw 2 Apple ID, can I subscribe Apple music with one of them?

I have 2 Apple ID in 2 different countries. I'm considering now to subscribe to Apple music on my iPhone using one of my Apple ID. I wonder if I agree with that, can I still buy books/apps or download podcasts on my iPhone with my identity without having trouble with the 90 day limit?

PS My current Apple ID will be one with Apple's music subscription but I might have to switch to the other at any time (my old ID).

PS.2 If you're wondering why I have 2 Apple ID? Why did not I just changed my Apple ID to other countries instead of create a new? Because some of my recent purchases cannot be redownloaded if they don't have it in another country.

I guess that having a second identifier Apple would have no effect on subscription music from Apple on your Apple ID. However, if you change the Apple ID on the iOS - like your iPhone device - I think that any music that you added and downloaded from AM using the ID active Apple will be deleted because your ID secondary Apple is not signed up for the service.

Best way would probably be to direct this question directly on the Apple support as a person who works for Apple is allowed to answer in this forum - we are just users like you.

  • Apple music - all my disappear songs...

If one day I was listening to my music. And then all of a sudden, all of my missing songs - just like that. I turned off my phone 4 times after that. The thing is that I started using Apple music exaclty a year ago. But my monthly substricption is paid. I can listen to music, but I want to have my back library. Anyone has idea what would be the solution?

    Hi jj331,

    Thanks for your question.

If your music is missing from your iPhone, there are several ways that you can restore the music on the device.

If you connect the iPhone to your computer, you can synchronize any songs you want from your iTunes for your iPhone.   You can also download your purchases passed directly to the iPhone.

Looks like Apple's music subscription has expired, but you can check the status in iTunes.  The resources below will explain these steps in more detail.

Sync your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch with iTunes on your computer through a USB port

    Download your latest purchases

Manage your membership Apple music on your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac or PC

    Hope that helps.

  • Any iTunes library appears in Apple music

Forgive me for being prolific; I'm going to do my best to explain the problem I have. I just downloaded the beta version of iOS 10 and now my iTunes library all - playlists, artists, songs, everything - no appears in the library of my phone in the music app as my music that I have synced my Apple account. (Isn't that what iTunes game is - how can I get that free?)

Point is - I don't want to do. I don't want to disable iCloud music library in the middle because then I lose everything I've already put in music Apple but also and especially because I'm not in a position to have a library with Apple music if iCloud music library has been disabled.

Basically: I want my iTunes library and the library of my phone to be remain separate while "iCloud music library" on in the settings. I know this is possible because I believe that I had this problem once before and solved. After that, I had been months go without a problem (until I downloaded the beta version). Once again, since I have had this same problem once before and resolved I don't think it's because I use a beta iOS. For some reason any installation of the beta version only seems to have caused the problem to recur.

Thank you in advance for help you!

    (1) you are not supposed to ask questions about the beta on open forums software. See the document to which you agreed on beta support.

    (2) music Apple includes a version of the game.  Now uses a sound library centralized in iCloud.

I can't deal with your specific problem because I do not use music from Apple.  You may need to disable iCloud in the iTunes preferences?  If the installation of the OS x software caused this he may have returned to the default settings. Install OSX should not affect your mobile directly.

  • Why can't get my music on Apple music?

I believe that this question was asked here several times but I do not see that it has been answered.

I have music from Apple, and I have a lot of songs on my 6 iPhone through Apple music.  However, it is a fair bit of stuff that I have on my MacBook, which is not on the Apple's music.  Why can't I just put these albums on my iPhone via iTunes as I used to?

All I get when I try to sync is "iCloud Music Library Is On" but if I try turn off voltage, it tells me I'm losing every album that I saved my music Apple, which is hundreds and hundreds... and something I don't want to do.

    Can someone help me please?

You cannot synchronize manually if you use Apple music disco iCloud.

Apple music works such that if the songs in your library iTunes on your computer is not found in the iTunes Store music library, it will download the unmatched songs so you can still access it if the music to iCloud service.

To do this, iTunes must analyze your library on your computer and download these songs.

Add music to your collection to your music library Apple - Apple Support

If you turn off iCloud music library, then everything that is in iTunes on your computer will replace the content of the music on your iPhone app. This is why he warns you.

Your iPhone and your library of music from iTunes on your computer must contain the same elements. The iPhone can also contain a subset of the items in your iTunes library, but essentially, it's all on the music from your iPhone app must already exist on your computer in order to avoid the deletion of things on the iPhone.

  • Apple music app crashing on iOS 9.3.2

Apple music constantly crashing on my iPhone 5 c running iOS 9.3.2. What can I do so that it doesn't crash more?

    Hello there kidflash266,

Sounds like you are unable to use your music app because it keeps closing in on you untimely. I would start by exit music:

Force an app to close the iOS

    1. press the Home button twice quickly. You will see small glimpses of your applications recently used.
    2. slide to the left to find the application you want to close.
    3. push upward on the overview of the application to close.

When you have done this restarts the phone and test the question again:

iOS: switch off and on (restart) and reset

If the problem persists, I would next turn off Apple music and see if the problem persists after that:

    Go to settings > music...

    • Show Apple music: Apple music members can show or hide the music content from Apple. To hide for you and new buttons, turn off show Apple music.

    From: settings music

If it works, then turn it show Apple music and test the question once again to ensure that it continues to work.  It may very well be the case that Apple music data should be refreshed.

If the problem still persists and you have iCloud library enabled, then then I would say turn off this feature as well and new test. Please note that doing so will remove content music Apple you downloaded or added to your library from your phone. Don't worry the music will remain in your 'My Music' when you reactivate iCloud music library, but you will need to register for listening offline:

    Go to settings > music...

    • iCloud music library: With this option, all content on Apple's music are removed iPhone. Music that you bought or synchronized and remains music identified by iTunes game that you added to play offline.

    From: settings music

Then leave the music app once more, and restart again once I have described above and test its operation with this disabled. If it works, then re-enable iCloud library and test again.

If you do not use iCloud library, try to remove and re - sync the music data from your phone that came from your iTunes library.

1 uncheck the checkbox in iTunes as described in step 3 in the following article:

12 iTunes for Mac: iPod, iPhone, or iPad sync

    2. click on apply in the lower right. This will remove the songs from your phone.

    3. restart the phone using the article I posted above.

4 go back and put the check mark in the check box in step 3 in the same article in step 1. This copierait your music to your phone with the same selections that you had before.

12 iTunes for Mac: iPod, iPhone, or iPad sync

    5. test the music again.

Thank you for using communities of Apple Support, beware!

  • I lose albums in my iTunes library if I get Apple music?

My iPad 2 has not been synchronized Age and has albums that I paid for that are not on my iPad 2 Air and are no longer in the iMusic store.  I lose even more if what I paid for, if I can get music Apple?  I will answer my albums and missing titles if I get Apple music?

    Hi toddfrommatsudo,

Thanks for checking out the Apple Support and communities for detailed information about your music. I understand that you do not want to lose access to one of your music and have questions on sign up for a subscription to Apple's music.

Your already purchased albums are concerned, you can download one of your recent purchases using your Apple ID at any time. There are different steps depending on the device you use, but you can find all the steps to achieve this in the link below. However, it is important to note the following information at the bottom of this article:

Previous purchases may not be available if they have been repaid or are not on the iTunes Store.

  • Why my Apple music is no longer will allow me to download music for listening offline?

I have the family share membership in music Apple. I was able to download music to my devices in advance for offline listening. But for the last two weeks, whenever I try to download a song... it is not even give me the option. Nothing has changed, and to my knowledge, my subscription is still valid and active. Then why my download privilege is suspended?

It shouldn't be 'suspended' - something is originally not not to work.

I guess you already tried forcing them to exit music (double click on the HOME button and then dragging up on music app) and you tried a hard reset of the iPhone (now the buttons HOME and POWER until the Apple Logo appears) as one of those usually clear up many questions.

    Otherwise, you should try is:

    (1) turn off music Apple and library music iCloud in SETTINGS/MUSIC and do a hard reset of the iPhone. Yes, this will remove all Apple music from your iPhone - including things like Playlists-, but they should all be restored after you turn it back on the two parameters.

    (2) you can also try signing out of your Apple ID in the music application (by tapping on the small profile image in the upper left corner) and then signing back in.

  • I am not currently subscribed to Apple music - is there a way to check what songs and albums are available?

Little according to the directives of the question. Is it possible to see what is and is not available with Apple music streaming, without actually registering? To view the catalog without starting to pay for it?

(Context: I've been through the test free return in the fall, and was not impressed, especially with how Apple completely screwed music the way I manage my iTunes library.) "But now I'm considering using Apple music on just an iPad and Apple TV and keep only the quarantined of machines that are 'my music.»(, c'est-à-dire mon bureau et l'iPhone).

So sign up just for the 3 month free trial and if you do not see what right for simply cancel you cancel the renewal of your account because noting going to the ends of the trial anyway.

  • Why is my iTunes play count incorrect since I started using the apple music?

Apple music - usually as the because you work and I listened to some great stuff.  BUT, I went on holiday in Italy (no data service) to find that I have virtually no songs on my phone. I was just find around with iTunes on my mac and phone. I wanted to make sure that I got a lot out there.

    Help, please

    Hi wooliewoollard,

If I understand your question, you want to know why your iTunes Library to play the counts do not show your activity using Apple's music.  Could you give a little more information on how you use the Apple music subscription?  It seems to me you have been mainly streaming content on your device.  While you can indicate your Favorites, which will update the suggestions For You, unless you download music to play offline, play music from your music collection, counties smart playlists and the game will not be updated.

  • ICloud for Apple music activation will damage my iTunes library?

I agree with Apple's music and I understand that if I want to add pieces of Apple's music in my iTunes library I must activate iCloud. I have so far resisted doing this since all reports of permanent damage to your library master iTunes at the time where Apple music was introduced. It means your iTunes library will be scanned and anything in the catalog of music Apple is copied in your iCloud, but at a lower speed to ICloud. Music you have (I have 1700 titles of a CD, I added that I bought) is not in the catalog will be copied in iCloud, but at a lower rate. But I was warned of the following problems. Does anyone know if all those who have been set? Of course, I keep a backup of everything on my Mac, but I'm afraid of damaging my iTunes library. I've read about problems are:

    1. DRM is added to the music you own and copied to your iTunes library.
    2. Music you have will be converted at any bit rate and a different format (I use MP3) and copied in your library.
    3. Many only find albums that they have got iTunes tracks scrambled, metadata for artist names and track names got scrambled, and playlists got out of order.
    4. Album cover and the track got corrupted and replaced with incorrect art.

I know things are not supposed to be true based on the Apple FAQ, but they occurred when music Apple and iOS 9 first came out. These questions definitely resolved?

    1. no DRM will not be added to your own music and copied into your iTunes Library UNLESS you decide to delete your original files and then re - upload to your computer's iTunes library. Or if you have set up a second computer share the same Apple ID and download the tracks to this second computer.

2 not - yet as answer #1 - if you delete your original files and then re-download. You will receive versions Apple music that - according to what bitrate you torn initially to-may or may not be a lower data rate.

    3. Yes, it happens. But most often it happens when you try to listen to music on other computers or devices. There was reports of these types of problems in their library (the one people used as source to configure BCTI) original iTunes and that's why it makes sense to have a backup of your original files. But, that being said, I've been using AM / BCTI since it began and I saw only occasional and minor problems with my metadata on my original library. However, I've seen a lot of questions on the iPhone and iPad that share my ID Apple and iCloud music library - mainly the wrong version of a song being substituted for the one I have in my library (the original) iMac iTunes.

    4 Yes - See answer #3.

Yet once again, most of these problems happen either (1) on the secondary devices you use with your music library to iCloud or (2) when people decided - usually to save hard drive space - to remove their original files and then replace with others of their MEMBER.

  • I can't play my Apple music albums downloaded?

A few days ago, I decided to sign up for the Apple Music 3 month free trial.  Then, I went and downloaded about 4 albums, so that I wouldn't have to have the Internet connection to be able to listen to them.  However, the next night, when I tried to play without an Internet connection, it gave me an error message.  Unfortunately, I didn't take a screenshot of it at the time.  When I got home, I tried to play my songs with the Internet, and it worked fine.  I have re-uploaded them just in case.  The next morning, I tried to play the songs with Wifi off and again got the message:

I you exit the application, Wifi turned on and tried to play again.  They played very well.  I then disabled Wifi and tried to play again, and they played perfectly!  No problem at all!  The best I can figure is, the application wants me to 'check in' with its servers every 12 hours or more.  Does anyone else have this problem?  I use a Mini 1 iPad with iOS 9.2.1.  Thank you!

    Hi Iantastic,

Sorry to hear that you have questions, play your Apple music offline.  If you get this prompt again, I suggest you follow the prompt and disable iCloud library, as suggested by the guest.  Then restart your iPhone, activate iCloud library again and try to download a different album or songs.  Let us know if the problem persists after trying this.

With the help of the new music app

    Listen offline

You can download songs, including songs that you purchased from the iTunes Store, adding music from Apple, or have been matched or downloaded with Apple music or iTunes game - to your device to listen to when you're not connected to the Internet:

    1. Tap the Options icon plus next to the item.
    2. Press the download icon to the right of the work of the song at the top of the menu of Options, or tap more to download from the bottom of the menu.
    3. The song is downloaded on your device.

To display the music you downloaded for offline listening, go to my music. In the section recently added, press the category picker (artist, album, etc.). Only downloaded music is at the bottom of the list of categories. When this setting is enabled, My Music shows only the songs you downloaded on your device. Disable this setting to see all of your music, including the music stored in iCloud music library.

When you view an item that you have downloaded on your device, you will see an icon offline near it but its exact location varies. For example:

    • If you download a whole album or playlist, offline icon appears when you look at the album or playlist in my music. You will also see an icon in offline mode when you view a compilation, but not when you view specific genres, composers or artists.
    • If you download a song, the offline icon to the right of each title of the song.
    • If you download songs from the album, but not whole album, offline icon appears to the right of the just the songs you downloaded.

    Take care
