Apple poster to problems on iMac

I can't sign into my Apple ID on my iMac, although I can on my iPhone, iPad, MacBook Pro...  I can't connect to iTunes, iBooks or the App Store on my desk, and I can sign in iCloud in preferences, even if I CANNOT enter in iCloud via my web browser!

I tried signing in using an external hard drive on the iMac with no joy...

Help!

Thank you

What troubleshooting have you tried on the iMac as the reboot, SMC or PRAM reset etc...

  • Where can I post a problem of Aspire One AO756 USB system recovery?

Hello.  Where can I post a problem of Aspire One AO756 USB system recovery?  I had a HARD drive crash, replaced the HARD drive and bought a USB (Win 8.1) on the Acer Store system recovery disk.  The USB settles all the installation files and then said to remove the USB key, then click OK to restart.  But the bios can not find a bootable disk to complete construction. I was sent a second USB drive with the same results.  The new HDD Seagate passes each Seatools test.  In addition, I can boot from USB to the DOS or Linux and access the disk without problem. Thank you

You must use diskpart. in the windows setup program, there is an option to format the partitions manually. allows to delete all partitions, and it will automatically set the MBR or GPT disk.

  • Apple Migration Assistant problem - PC to iMac

Trying to transfer files from old PC to the new iMac via the Migration Wizard with an Ethernet cable. Succeeded with the files in the c: on computer but no pictures and documents of a user. It connects very well, says it is mutating and when it's done it is said "' sorry, some files could not be transferred to _ user". "

It turns out that "some cases" refers to all of them. Nothing is there. Also can't find those 'successful '. It transfers the user, but the user is empty.

Is there a solution or another way to transfer files?

Have you thought to manually copy the pictures/documents on a USB key or external hard drive and transfer them on the Mac in this way?

  • problem chart iMac

Hi I have an iMac mid-2011 with Sierra installed. I experience a problem during startup. When the progress bar reaches 1/3 of the total, it stops and displays a bar of color on the screen and immediately thereafter, the screen goes black for a second, and then return to the display of progress bar and the Mac end commissioning successfully however. I have attached the picture where the color bar is displayed. Thank you, Francesco

    Hi frawarrior,

Thank you for using communities Support from Apple!

I understand your message that on initial boot, your Mac will be stuck on the Apple logo with color bar screen, but then it restarts normally on its own.  To help get this problem solved, I would you please start in safe mode, and then restart your computer normally.  Please report back with what is happening:

    Start in safe mode

Follow these steps to start in safe mode.

    1. Start or restart your Mac.
    2. As soon as you hear the startup tone, hold down the SHIFT key.
    3. Release the SHIFT key when you see the logo Apple appears on the screen.

After the Apple logo appears, this may take longer than usual to reach the login screen or your office. This is because your Mac performs a check of directory of your drive to boot in safe mode.

To leave safe mode, restart your computer without pressing any keys during startup.

Try safe mode if your Mac does not end commissioning

    Take care.

  • Apple TV 3 sleep wake iMac every 10 minutes...

A few days ago I updated my Apple TV 3 to the 7.2.1 latest firmware (I forgot to do this when it came out in February).

My iMac only has never really sleeps since Apple TV sleep tries to connect to the library of the House shared iTunes on my iMac every 10-15 minutes waking the iMac... It didn't happen with 7.2 firmware.

Konsole shows clearly that it is my sleep Apple TV to wake up the iMac.

If the Apple TV is awake and I do not use my home shared library the iMac sleep well until the next alarm RTC...

I tried without success to the following:

-Restart Apple TV, iTunes, iMac and the router (TimeCapsule) several times and in several orders

-Switching Apple TV, WiFi, Ethernet and vice versa

    -Disabling and enabling home sharing

The iMac can't sleep (with the regular break of 2 hours of RTC alarm) If...

    -iTunes is closed or

-Apple TV is on (not sleeping), off (without power supply) or not on the network

-Sleep on access to the network on the iMac is off (which means Apple TV cannot wake up my iMac at all, not even if I want it...)

I had a similar problem with this Apple TV... about 1 to 2 years ago he went with an Apple TV firmware update later.

And now he is back with this latest firmware maybe never for this device...

The problem is mentioned on the Internet by many people - but unfortunately no solution.

No idea on how to solve this problem is very appreciated!

    Thanks in advance,

    Michael

The only other suggestion I have is to reset Apple TV. Forcing to do a clean install of the operating system. This means having to re-enter you well account information.

  • Connection with the Apple ID server problem

iCloud on my ASUS ZENBOOK can not connect.  It always returns a connection error message: there is A PROBLEM CONNECTING WITH THE APPLE ID SERVER.

My laptop is an ASUS model UX303L (64-bit) running Windows 10 Home, Version 1511.

    Key points:

    (1) I have connected to my very well through several iPhones iCloud account, multiple iPads, an iMac and another ZBOX PC running the same version of Windows 10.  (Confirms that it is not a problem of "User" with me trying to use the wrong password).

    (2) from my laptop problem, I can connect to the internet fine iCloud - Chrome and Firefox version by.

    (3) I have the latest version of iTunes on the laptop, which starts very well and logs in my iTunes store (.. .in the Australia).  [This is interesting, because I guess that both iTunes and iCloud connect to the same server Apple ID to check the details].

    (4) I made sure that Windows is completely up to date, and that my office 2013 is also entirely up-to-date, with a full stop/restart of the laptop to make sure that nothing is installed in half.

    (5) I uninstalled iCloudand reinstalled from a new download.  Did not help.

    (6) before the iCloud upgrade to the latest version there is + 2 weeks (I'm now on the 5.2.1.69 Version), iCloud worked perfectly, including the good synchronization of Outlook calendar and favorite contacts on different browsers.  I want to try and reinstall the old version - see if that restores me to my nirvana earlier, but I couldn't find anyway to do.

Suggestions as to best 'next steps', I can take would be highly appreciated...

I have exactly the same problem... is there any help for us?

So far, I've been forced to use Windows 7

I have iMac 21.5 (2.7 I5, AMD 6770 M mid 2011) I have no problem for 5 years, but couple days ago something appears on the screen. And I would like to know what it is?

It seems that your GPU is a failure. You must make an appointment and bring it to your Apple Store Genius Bar for a diagnosis and an estimate of the repair.

  • Mysterious Apple's Mail problem

I have a problem in Apple Mail that I can't diagnose. I am running Yosemite 10.10.5 on a new Mac Pro. As I was info my old mac to the new migration, I noticed that nearly half of the 2-3 years value of messages in my "Sent" mailbox have been replaced by an image I call "the swami smiling." This image originally arrived in my Inbox in a legitimate-looking email from an episode of sender known 6 months ago. I have run ClamXav. He finds nothing wrong. Any ideas how this could happen, what it could be or what I need to do?

    Try to rebuild the mailbox.

    Rebuild the mailbox

If this does not work, try re-indexing of mailboxes mailbox. This can take some time if you have a lot of mail.

Reindex messages        For El Capitan, try looking in V3.

  • More old problem of Imac

Recently, my Imac (2008) older would not start.  He didn't have me given all the problems for 8 years until this point.  When I hit the Start button, the apple logo would come to the top, no startup sound was made, and the computer would not clear the checkpoint and go to the office/opening computer screen.

I have tried several things and finally managed to do start pressing keys - 'control', 'option', 'P' and 'R '.

I have a backup drive, with carbon copy clone.  When the Imac has finally started up, he started a leopard instead of the Mountain Lion that I usually use.

Two questions: what caused this problem? How to return to the Cougar?

Try rebooting into the recovery Partition by pressing command + R to start. Open utility disk and depending on the version of OS X installed race a repair disk 2 or 3 times or first aid on the hard drive. If errors appear after 2-3 attempts, which confirms the HD has failed and must be replaced.

If the computer does not start in PR, which also confirms a hardware problem. Given the age of the computer, it may be best to simply replace it.

  • How can I contact Apple with a problem?

Earlier today, which I called Apple Support with the question that my iPhone could not connect to iTunes. First of all, the woman asked me if I was on the speaker, and I said yes because I was looking at my computer screen so she can help me solve the problem. She replied with "it would be nice if I wasn't on the speaker. (already coming off rude) Then she told me to let him see my computer screen. She never gave me the Web site to enable him to do this. After that, she ran a scan to see if something was wrong. She found a small problem in my computer and I asked how to fix it. She told me that she could connect to a certified technician who can fix this. (never mentioned anything about a cost) I told him he was fine, then she said that it would cost a small fee. I said I'm sorry how much would it be. She said, "it would be a small fee of $99.99. (no case is a small fee) I proceed to tell him I am a student who doesn't have that kind of money right now and she started to treat me as a child and said: why don't ask you MOM and dad and give us a call. Where to go to school, there is a technical team that solves such things for free. I wanted Apple to fix the problem and that person does not. I'm very angry against how I was treated and would like to contact someone to complain. So I wonder how I should contact them?

It's not Apple, you just been deceived by some random criminal. Try to be more careful in the future.

    Now, why you called it.

  • Apple Watch display problem

I have the problem since a few weeks now, after having used the watch for more than a day without turn it on, the screen turns into a blue light, but everything is still visible, but as I said, with a slight blue tint over everything.

If I disable the watch for about 5 minutes, the blue shadow disappears completely.

How can I avoid this in the future?

Keeping your software shows to date.

On your iPhone, open the application shows then tap general > software update

The update of the OS shows 2.2.2 is available.

Please read the instructions here > update the software on your Apple Watch - Apple Support

    Then follow the display.

  • Apple Watch battery problems

I received my Apple Watch, 38 mm, Sport edition yesterday and have been loving him. However, I am having a few problems with the battery. Eventually, I expect too much, but the battery seems to pass quite quickly. Last night, while trying to use a sleep monitoring app, my watch died 6 hours only, when there was a load of 95%. Today, I did a test and canceled my watch 20 minutes. I didn't turn it on, or even move. Less than 20 minutes, he had already lost 4%. This is how the battery is usually? Or I'm dealing with a real problem? In addition, all the patches? Currently I am restarting my phone and my watch. I wouldn't send it and wait anxiously for another week. Thank you!

    Hello

Battery life varies depending on use and other factors.

According to your daily use, it may be normal for your watch to require nightly charge.

During tests, for example, Apple has reached 18 hours of battery life with the next use: 90 time checks, 90 notifications, 45 minutes of usage of the app and a workout of 30 minutes with Apple Watch Bluetooth music playback. Other examples of the life of the battery when using different are available here:

    http://www.Apple.com/watch/battery.html

If your watch is shorter battery life than would suggest examples of Apple that you should expect, try the following steps, which have helped to solve the problems of the battery life for some users:

For optimal performance of your watch (including more efficient communication in energy between your devices), keep the Wi - Fi or Bluetooth enabled at all times on your iPhone.

  • Video podcasts and Apple TV menu problem

Just bought the Apple TV 4 and I have two problems with the Podcasts.

If I go to Podcasts, it displays the search box. Once I chose a podcast, it loads the menu of videos for this particular podcast.

Problem 1: When you play a podcast, I can hear the audio, but I can't see the video. The video does not appear to load. I tried several different podcasts and it's the same problem for each of them. I can hear the audio, but there is no video.

Problem 2: once I've selected a podcast, there is no way to return to the menu to search for podcasts. If I press the button "menu" on the remote control, need me all the way out in the upper level for Apple TV menu. Then when I select new podcast, it brings back me to the last podcast I was trying to see. It's very frustrating that I can't reach the menu "search for podcasts" again. If I restart the Apple TV, and then click podcasts, it displays the page "podcast search' again. But once more, as soon as I select a podcast, there no way to return to the search screen. Yet once, by pressing the "menu" button the remote takes me all the way back to the top level for Apple TV menu.

How can I solve these two problems? Thank you.

Perhaps podcasts are audio only? It says in the info on the right side when you are in the menu for a given set.

When I hit the Menu button, I need go back to a single page, as usual. Are you sure that you do not use the Home button? And, when it is on the main page of podcasts, I can use the top menu to visit the different choices.

You have successfully updated at the last tvOS 9.2.1?
