Applet Java says it's outdated, but it's Java Applet 14.0.3, how to fix this?

I installed Lion 10.7 and Java installed manually now the tool plug-ins, said that I'm not aware. Firefox 8 does not have this app? I posted this when the Lion came out, now I went from Firefox 6 by 8 and still no Java 14.0.3 update. Someone know how to fix this or is it just a matter because Mac does its own Java? I have the latest version of Java 1.6.0_29 Apple.

I had this problem too. It is caused by a failure of Firefox to update a file in your profile.

1. exit Firefox
2 al ' Finder using the key option to make your visible library under the menu go to, then select it.
3 explore Application Support/Firefox/Profiles /(random char) .default
4. find the "pluginreg.dat" file and drag it to the trash (authenticate if necessary)
5. start Firefox and it will rebuild the file with the correct version of Java.

This must be done for each user that has the problem. New users do not have the problem because their profile is created from scratch.
