application (adobe reader software) opens in the external monitor; How can I do ap open in the primary?
Running Win 7/64 with 2 monitors. Program opens in the external monitor, not primary. Have you tried a primary mobile window, exit ap, then re-opening: no solution.
Hello
· The same thing happens with other programs?
Try this:
a. open a PDF file. Now, UN-maximize the file. Hover over to the other monitor. Now, close the document WITHOUT maximizing it on the new monitor.
b. now try to open a PDF file. It should open on the new monitor. Blow it up and close it again. Now, a new PDF opens on the new monitor, and it will be maximized when opened.
c. therefore, apparently, the trick is to close when it is not expanded on any monitor you want to open on. Adobe will remember whether or not a document has been expanded and open PDF one another in the same way, but it will update the monitor to use when a document is closed so that not maximized.

How can I get the Adobe Reader software, but NOT the "DC" Cloud version?
For years, I appreciated the help of the original Adobe Reader that would allow me to view PDFs via Windows Viewer or my other software, just, as I used to be able to do. Now, it seems that Adobe requires this convoluted "DC" on users version. I don't want to. I don't need all these so-called features. I don't want to "be in the clouds! -I want just a basic version that allows to display a clean image, strong, with zoom tools, etc.
Where can I get what I need, please? Of course, I hope for a version that has the day in safety.
I will appreciate it if someone would provide a URL to the "appropriate" download location link, unless Adobe no longer provides what some users want or need.
Hi Larry cross,
You can download Adobe Reader XI from the link below:
http://get.Adobe.com/reader/Enterprise/
You must select the operating system you use, the language of Adobe Reader you want to and the version of Adobe Reader (Select 11.0.10).

I tried to uninstall, but nothing (when I try normally it says I do not have access, and then I tried with a program called windows install cleanup, it deletes it but is not "disappear" what should I do? it gives me the error of 0xc00142, if that helps.)

I am running windows vista and am trying to install Adobe Reader.
My internet programs explore and the printer have changed the icon and the programs trying to open with adobe instead of their exe. If I delete then adobe, they work fine...Hi dabrown52,
You can check out the following link and try the suggestions posted by Linney MVP on Friday, January 29, 2010 19:03 and check if it helps.
If the problem persists, you can try uninstalling and reinstalling adobe.
You can try to uninstall all older versions, Adobe Acrobat , and see if the problem is resolved. Uninstall earlier versions of the application and then install the version you want. If multiple versions of Adobe Reader are installed on the system, remove all versions and install only one version.
To do this, follow these steps:
1. click on Start, type Appwiz.cpl in the Start Search box, and then click Appwiz.cpl in the list of found files.
2. double-click on the version of Acrobat or reader you want to uninstall.
3. click on Yes if you are prompted to confirm that you want to uninstall the program.
Note If you are prompted to confirm that you want to run the program, click on allow.
4. click Yes to restart the computer. For more information, please visit the following links:

I can't open the adobe reader software, even after reinstalling.
Whenever I try to open a pdf file, I get a statement of error message "Windows cannot find 'C:XXXXXXX.pdf'. Make sure you typed the name correctly and try again."
Running Windows 7 Professional. Tried to install v10 and v11 Adobe Reader - always unsuccessfully. Tired of open files from files from drive C and D with the same result.
When you try to open files software programs adobe reader, I get the same error message. There's something blocking adobe reader to open.
This can happen because of messed up the registry settings.
Try to uninstall using http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html
Restart the system.

I downloaded the adobe reader software, and my habit always file open
Do you have accepted the license agreement for the reader?
Otherwise, go to C/Program Files (or Program Files (x 86)) / 11.0/Adobe/Reader
Double-click the file "eula.exe" (it may just say "EULA")
Accept the license agreement.
Open drive and you should be able to open a PDF file.

Hello people.
If I'm in the wrong forum, might well want to suggest a more appropriate forum?
It is a pretty basic question.
I downloaded the SDK and watched, but I'm still a little uncertain. Simply because there is a ton of information to this site, and it's all new to me.
I have a Visual Studio MFC application. (Visual Studio 2008)
I want to change the application to read a PDF form to fill out, and I want to programmatially fill in some of the data in the field as it appears on the screen. This could be considered writing a PDF file, but I think it's only complete, because I can do this with Acrobat Reader. I assume that there is an API available to do this.
I saw something on IAC, then maybe that where I need to study.
I'm the developer. I need to buy Adobe Acrobat? Or is the right drive for this?
My customers will need to purchase Adobe Acrobat? Or the drive will be enough?
It's one thing for me as a developer to buy the tool to improve enforcement, but another question, if I go to the end users and tell them that they need to buy and install Adobe Acrobat.
I'm not afraid to have a discussion, I just want to know ahead what debate, I need to have.
Are there different APIs available for different Windows OS? One for XP for Vista 32-bit, one for Vista 64-bit, for Windows 7... etc.
Or is this the same way, regardless of the platform?
I'm looking for advice.
All would be appreciated.
Thank you
The only way to fill a form in Adobe Reader is to use the file in FDF or XFDF format. They are text-based formats that you can put the form data and a link to the PDF document in and then ask the REader to open it (and the associated PDF file) upwards and fill automatically.
You can't poll drive for more information, however.
