Who can I call to register software, download the license etc. file since it will no longer the dongle... Im trying to look through the documentation but do not see a place to call. Help please

    I am not convinced that a running stream socket connection cause this kind of problem, we run taken all the time.  Also not convinced that the Bitmap is related, if the unit was short memory you will see the hourglass icon all the time that the device is garbage collection operation.

    Your original post said: "application failed".  Normally, this means that something is blocking the event Thread.  It could be your is running on the event Thread, or it is possible that you made a very lengthy treatment on the thread of events.  Be that as it may, I review the design of your application, find out what treatment you do on the thread of events and move offshore.

  • Dishonest seller Smartphones blackBerry Appworld?

    I post here because I can't find any obvious way to contact support of Appworld. I hope someone here can help.

    About 4 months ago, that I bought for £4.99 an application called Unit Converter by Adorno via Appworld.  When installing the application, it became clear that it wasn't working properly on my Torch 9800 immediately. I reinstalled several times but nothing helped. The app constantly crashed, in the drop-down menus have been non-functional and the graphics were awful.

    I contacted the support in the normal way and not having received any response after several weeks that I posted a review of the product on the AppWorld who shared my bad experience with this App all about 6 weeks later I finally got a response of Adorno claiming in a misspelled sentence that they were aware of the problem and that it would offer a fix in the next update.

    As the still there were no updates again, I visited AppWorld. Here, I was shocked to discover that my review and it seemed more tests offering low rating in stars was removed and only reviews with 5 star were left. The most recent review is November 2010. Very strange that all refute comments, probably the people with the latest BlackBerry OS6 devices etc. have been removed. This app was released in April 2009 and is not compatiable with the latest operating systems. This in my opinion is fraud. Mislead people that this is an interesting application when in fact it is not, I say, for people who have experienced similar problems with Adorno unit converter.

    Two days ago, I wrote to Adorno claiming that there was no update next I want a refund. Surprisingly, I received a reply today "you must contact the online store to request a refund" that it was a response to a rude phrase.  With a previous unrelated incident, I got an immediate refund direct to the seller so in this case, I'm left wondering, what store?  I can't see any link on any BlackBerry site to get refunds and I am obviously against a seller with bad business ethics, take the money and run. Is it normal or RIM Appworld rules for sellers to act like that? If anyone can help or offer advice on this doesn't please, I'd love to hear from you. I also think that the Adorno seller should be studied by RIM. BlackBerry offers high standards, Adorno certainly aren't.

    That being said, you bought the app in a store called "BlackBerry App World". If you want to request a refund, it is normal to communicate with this store and not the developer.

    I'm debugging on the device (purchased at Bell, runing 10.0.9.2372) production with the latest version of the SDK (SDK native 10.0.9.2372).     I use QNX Momentics IDE. After you add the view "Journal of the unit", "All" is the only option in "BufferSet" and "Buffer" menu drop-down, and no newspaper appears after starting my application. The status shows "Listening target ' 169.254.0.1", pending the first event... ». Are there any additional installation required to monitor logs in this view?

    I have also tried running a SSH session and used the command 'slog2info w '. The command works on Simulator (Dev Alpha 10.0.10.263), but it returns immediately without any output on my device. The 'slog2info' command works, but it only dumps the log. I need to monitor the output log while I am debugging it. Do I have to activate what anyone on the device to make the command 'slog2info w' work, or I did something wrong here?

    You are following this with a devmode running app, right? In other words, not one signed?

    This has worked for you before, or is this the first attempt?

    Some few people have seen 'slog2info w' stop posting any output. A reboot or two (of the aircraft) usually "fixed."

    If you are looking for in the unit LOG immediately after startup, you should find out the reason.  I suggest to you that what follows is the most likely reasons:

    (a) application not signed

    (b) developed for a different level than the device OS.

    question by my client:

    I develop an Oracle Application Express application and work on unit tests for stored procedures in PL/SQL and the packages that are stored in the underlying database and used by the application of the APEX. These unit tests must run in the context of SQL Developer Unit Test.
    The problem is that the PL/SQL code stored in the database using functions such as NV('APPLICATION_ITEM') to access items in the application of the apex. They do return all values when I try to execute the PL/SQL within the unit test framework, that is to say in the backend. While it is good that the NV is not error, NULL haven't really work well in my scenario either (for example when the result of this function is inserted into a column NOT NULL in a table). I can think of a few workarounds, such as the creation of my own function NV within the schema to test return values desirable, but nothing seems a really satisfactory solution.     Indeed, you must set your PL/SQL function calls. This would be the cleanest solution.

    There is an alternative. Please see the following article on the creation of an APEX in PL/SQL session: Martin Giffy D'Souza on Oracle APEX: how to create a Session of the APEX in PL/SQL

    This approach allows to set the values of APEX application item before you run your unit tests. I don't know if it's possible in SQL Developer Unit Test, but it might get you further down the road.

  • The Application of the missing unit menu

    I have a Windows 7 64 - bit 8 workstation running the host (version 8.0.2 build-591240) with a 32-bit openSUSE Guest 12.1 using KDE.  I'm under VMware Tools for Linux v 8.8.2, build 590212.  When you attempt to start the unit, I get one of two results - either the unit will not start, or it starts but the application menu is empty.

    I read the same thread "unity Applications Menu missing" (wire 331064) and following the instructions there-"Power down VM, exit Workstation. Open the folder containing your VM and delete the file caches. "Power of virtual machine, enter the unit and see if the menus if necessary (less than 15 s) appear.  As I have indicated, if the unit starts after that, the menu is empty.

    I checked the directory caches and starting the unit (with no menus), the launchMenu file is essentially empty (a few stray symbols) and there is no appData directory.  When the unit does not start, the file launchMenu contains lots of menu entries and the files in appData.

    I checked vmware-xdg-detect-of returns of KDE.

    I also tried a VM with a 64-bit openSUSE Guest 12.1 also in 32 and 64-bit hosts running XFCE (in the case where the problem was with KDE) with the same results.

    I have provided the vmusr.log as well as the vmware log file.

    Any help would be appreciated.  Thank you.
