Application server URL

Hello!

When I need to find a form, I change the "Application Server URL" in the preferences and I add '? "config = XXXX & folder = forms & tracegroup = 0-98-100-199.

When I need is no longer track, change it to '? config = XXXX ".

I wonder if there is a war to change that outside the form designer. I tried to windows registry and files folder instalation oracle text, but I didn t find where oracle to store this information.

Does anyone know where this information is stored?

I want to build a simple system tray app to start and stop the trace.

Thank you.

found. cauprefs.ora is the file where this information is stored.

  • Using application server MCG for pushing BB

    Hi all!

    I am currently a porting Android to BB10. This application supports push notifications and I wish the portability to BB10 too. I understand the client side manages very well now. However, what I wonder is:

    On the page "Creation Push.enabled Android apps", he said "a similar web query." Then here in the forums and the SDK push he speaks on the PAPER size. So the question is: what changes should I actually do my application server to push properly? The page doesn't have much info on this topic... In reading the page I I would assume switch simply the URL for the BB it and value. But now I guess this isn't the case?

    If we really need to use a completely different format to the push initiator, then this should be documented here. Cause, that would mean that we really need to implement from scratch.

    Thank you

    Max

    The format you send must be the same - the only difference is to send it to the BlackBerry instead of GCM servers. The only tricky part is to know what kind of device the user is on.

  • webutil read file function finds the file on the application server

    Hello

    I want to select and read a file (possibly .pdf) and save it to the database.

    To achieve this, I:

    1) created a table, deltia (key primary aa, varchar2, blob, other columns... image_blob, filename)

    (2) created a block form of database based on the deltia table. The element of the "image_blob" column type is image

    and the image format is "tiff".

    (3) wrote the following piece of code to perform the selection of local file (successfully)

    Select the FUNCTION (i_FileFiltre IN Varchar2 default vDefFileExt)

    RETURN VARCHAR2

    IS

    vPath Varchar2 (128);

    vFileName Varchar2 (256);

    vFileFiltre Varchar2 (200): = i_FileFiltre;

    Begin

    vPath: = CLIENT_WIN_API_ENVIRONMENT. Get_Temp_Directory;

    vFileName: = WEBUTIL_FILE. FILE_OPEN_DIALOG

    (

    vPath,

    '',

    vFileFiltre,

    "Select the file to download.

    ) ;

    Return vFileName;

    END selection;

    The form above function call is:

    Declare

    vFileName Varchar2 (200);

    Begin

    vFileName: = PKG_File_Ops.Selection;

    If vFileName is not null then

    : eq_deltia_metakinhshs. Filename: = vFileName;

    End if;

    End;

    (4) wrote the piece of code to the game/place the file selected in the form element "image_blob", as following:

    client_image.read_image_file (: eq_deltia_metakinhshs.filename,)

    substr (: eq_deltia_metakinhshs.filename, instr (: eq_deltia_metakinhshs.filename,-1)).

    "eq_deltia_metakinhshs.deltio_image");

    The call to the packaged procedure client_image.read_image_file does not work. It returns error

    "47109 - cannot locate the/u01/oracle/temp /... image file"

    In other words, the system will search to read the selected file locally on the server App.

    This error indicates that your server is a unix platform: 47109-cannot locate image file/u01/oracle/temp /

    If it is correct, then your webutil.cfg is not been set correctly.  Entries for transfer.appsrv are in reference to the appsrv and not the client.  So you currently C:\temp which is a directory of Windows and not Unix.

    (2) Transfer.appsrv.Read.1 =c:\temp. It is already set.

    3) Transfer.appsrv.Write.1=c:\temp. It is already set.

  • Application of flow through Webgate and web application server

    I have a scenarios,

    There are two webgates on both web servers configured as a reverse proxy to an application. The doors of two web use external load balancer 1 (material). Two web portals are registered on two servers OAM (load balancing - logical web application server). The application is protected by OAM, and is set to launch a custom login page. The application web servers also use external load balancer 2.

    First, when the user tries to access the URL of the application, the flow would be:

    LoadBalancer1 - Web server with OAM WebGate - WebServer with WebGate (after successful authentication) - LoadBalancer2 (lettering) - server of web App - homepage

    Now, what happens if the user goes to another link within the app? The user will be routed to the loadbalancer 2 to the Web server with load balancer WebGate GOLD 2 to 1 load balancer, then to the Web server with WebGate. Please note that the web server with WebGate is configured as reverse proxy for the application. Sorry if I'm not able to articulate the situation clearly.

    Any thoughts?

    Thank you.

    Hello

    Allows to call the application URL app.mydomain.com. With the components you mentioned above, generally that would make a DNS change to point app.mydomain.com to 'loadbalancer1 '.

    Say so the user has already been authenticated and authorized and on the page of the application (app.mydomain.com/home.jsp). OAM is usually configured to protect web pages within an application. When the user clicks on 'Préférences' inside of home.jsp which is "app.mydomain.com/preferences.jsp", control would again go to loadbalancer1-> of the webgates.

    Hope that answers your question.

  • How to call static pages using web.show_document on the application server

    Hi all.

    I'm using forms / reports 11 g Rel2.

    I´d like to call it a few static pages of forms using web.show_document and have the pages located on the same machine where the application server is running.

    I know it's more a problem of Oracle HTTP Server configuration, but I want to know if I can use one of the default virtual directories already defined on the installation process.

    Please recommend a virtual directory to use.

    Best regards, Luis... :))

    Sure. You can store the files anywhere you want. Of course, it is easy to create a new virtual directory. But if you want to use an existing one, the most obvious likely would be the virtual path of/forms/html that can be found here:

    INSTANCE_HOME\config\FormsComponent\forms\html

    The url to access it would look something like this:

    http://server:port/forms/HTML/myWebPage.htm

    AppServer is in place and I can connect via the application designer. No errors in the log, even no error when I run startPIA.cmd

    the site URL is http://oracleELM/psp/ps etc. no not required in the URL port number

    .Properties configuration has the following entry

    psserver = OracleELM:9000

    There is no entry assperver, is this correct?

    JSL Port: 9000

    Thanks for your help!

    One more thing that may be incorrect is the password for the PTWEBSERVER in the configuration.properties file.

    During the installation of the database that you need to provide the password for PTWEBSERVER.

    During the installation of the PIA, you also had to provide the PTWEBSERVER user and the password.

    These two must match.

  • Newbie question for the Oracle application server

    Hi Master,
    a DBA I am interesting to broaden my skill with learning on the application server.
    I knew that in the past before Weblogic bought by Oracle, Oracle, always using Oracle application server.
    Now with the Weblogic gaining more popularity on the market, which is the product the value of learning and get certified.

    Is it still useful to take Application Server 10 g or go with Weblogic. in certification path, Weblogic 10 g.
    WebLogic now replaces the Oracle application server, average abandoned Oracle Application Server?

    Please enlighten me and thank you for your help

    Lie

    Question if I go for Oracle WebLogic Server 10 g Administrator Certified Expert System it will be good to work with 11g thus?

    Make it part of the same system (now). Like WebLogic is the portal and the Jukebox, forms etc. are the records.

    What book other than the documentation that you have found the right one for learning.

    Yet to find one, Oracle documentation was OK.

    Is it better to learn the Linux or Windows version?

    Both are very well, choose the operating system you know better.

    Best regards

    I built my Middleware on Linux 64-bit test. Note that the 32-bit version allows to run Forms and Reports Developer.

    Beware of pre-installation tasks

    Install the Oracle database
    Linux RCU (repository creation utility)

    Database

    Use an existing database. (And it worked)

    My test was divided into four main parts: (in this order)

    Installation of the regional coordination unit
    WebLogic Server Install
    Install JRocket
    Forms and reports Install

    According to me, it took me two or three times to do things. (or at least work)

    I found myself with these URLs in the end:

    Administration Server Console http://Host/console 7001
    Enterprise Manager Console http://Host/em 7002
    Enterprise Manager Agent http://Host/emd/main
    Oracle Forms http://Host/formes/frmservlet 9001
    Oracle reports http://Host/rapports/rwservlet 9002

    So far, I have only an addition to my Web Page:

    http://www.Visi.com/~mseberg/compile_forms_on_wl.html

    As always this work orders:

    ./opmnctl status

    I was able to add PHP after you apply the hotfix 9292625.

    Note of Oracle that I found useful

  • Discoverer and application server 10g R2.

    Hi all.

    I installed the application server with the discoverer, but I found no dicoverer it
    It is nothing else but a batch file.
    Please guide me what should I do?

    Hello
    Do you have what version of the application server installed? Not only 10g but you install 10.1.2.0.0 and 10.1.2.2 or 10.1.2.3, patch or have you installed a different version of basic?

    Discoverer 10 g R2 will be available if you use the application 10.1.2.0.0 Server and then patch 10.1.2.2 or 10.1.2.3. If you have installed a different version of the application server you won't have the engine installed discoverer.

    To test simply launch a browser and call the URL for the home page of the server like this: http://yourserver.yourdomain:7778

    If the discoverer is installed you will see links to launch more Discoverer and Discoverer Viewer. You can also try to call direct using Discoverer: discoverer/more/http://yourserver.yourdomain:7778 or http://yourserver.yourdomain:7778/discoverer Viewer

    Another way to see if the discoverer components are installed is to locate the root for the ORACLE_HOME in which the application server has been installed. From there, if you have discoverer, you will see an ORACLE_HOME\discoverer with Sub-folders folder of config, deploy, lib, newspapers, mesg, doc, plus_files, secure and util.

    In addition, if you browse here: ORACLE_HOME\j2ee\OC4J_BI_Forms\applications you should see a folder called discoverer

    If you can't find the files above, you have installed an application server which does not support the discoverer. You will need to uninstall it and then install 10.1.2.0.0 and it patch. You can also find this post on my blog to be useful: http://learndiscoverer.blogspot.com/2008/04/most-useful-patch-numbers.html

    Connection for: Single Instance
    HostName: 10.251.28.21
    OPMN Port: 6203

    When I test the connection, I get the following response:
    Error getting remote MBeanServer to url: ormi://ihrms03:25515 / default:
    Read the application client descriptor error: communication error with server: oc4j: internal/ResourceFinder not found; nested exception is:

  • 10g to Oracle Enterprise Manager Application Server Control does not work

    Hello
    We have installed the application on 9.21.0.98 Server (solaris machine).
    For the server is woking, but the report server does not.

    Now I want to connect to Oracle Enterprise Manager 10 g Application Server Control
    to solve the problem

    In my PC (windows), I opened internet explorere (IE), and I entered the following URL
    http://9.21.0.98:7778 / (7778 is probably http port)
    Now I see a web page.

    Here I see the following on the right side of the page

    Oracle Application Server Logins

    To manage and monitor Oracle Application Server,

    Log on to Oracle Enterprise Manager 10g Application Server Control:
    username: ias_admin
    password: specified during installation

    When I click on this link http://9.21.0.98:1156 / URL has appeared on the IE and I get the following error
    Internet Explorer cannot display this webpage

    Now to see if any application is running on this port (1156), I logged the solaris machine where the application server is intalled and I exected netstat - a | grep 1156 command. But he didn't show me anything

    Could you please solve my problem?

    Concerning

    Is it possible to change the name of report server?

    See Paulo Esteves answer in How to change the name of the report server?

  • application server test page failed

    I installed the free edition developed ColdFusion8.
    1. create a new file extension.2. Go to code view and delete all the lines of code, type the following code:
    < cfdump var = #cgi # >
    3. download the file
    A page that displays a list of the CGI variables must appear in the web browser.
    Nothing happened in my case, except the code itself.
    IS it because the application server does not work properly?

    OK, but you don't tell if you can reach the ColdFusion administrator. If you can't access this URL, then CF is unable to run.

    CF Admin is http://localhost/CFIDE/administrator/

  • How to run 2 different applications of the same Application Server

    Hello

    I would like to know how to run two different applications of the same Application Server with different databases?

    We use

    Oracle Application Server 10g 10.1.2.0.2

    You can have as much as you want, just your applications should have different names or URLs and point to a specific database (using data sources).

    How can I check if my application uses of EJB?
    How to connect to the application server control console to run the task above.

    Tom,

    -How will I know if EBS r12 12.0.6 using the EJB or not?

    In my view, it is not applicable to the installation of R12, you can omit this step. If you have a stand-alone server Oracle AS10g and you must apply this hotfix, you must then check if the EJB is used or not.

    Kind regards
    Hussein
