Apply the fix of the ASM

Hi all

Recently, we have applied the patch on one of our instance ASM, we've reached ORA-04031 on ASM instance. Oracle, we propose to apply the patch and one of my colleague came with these steps and

We have applied the fix successfully. I have a few questions about these steps. I would be grateful, if you could offer your expert advise on my questions.

In step 1, we use SRVCTL to stop all the instacnes running on a single box. We have about 46 instance that is running on this node

My question is, setp 1, mean-o and s flag done.

In step 2, this makes sudo for < GRID_HOME > is to use the rootcrs.pl - unlock.

On step 4, we have applied the patch to GRID_HOME, but must understand usage - oh flag

New on stp 5, why we need to perform step number 5

It starts at step 6, all instances by using srvct, but just curious, by the way, why we need to provide the file ampxt1d1_status with flag - n.

1. this task is to apply the patch of the ASM

2. stop all the instance running on ampxd1d1.

srvctl stop immediate home o < ORACLE_HOME > s/u01/patches/tmp/ampxt1d1_status n < nide > t

3. run the script in root of pre.

sudo /u01/app/11.2.0.3/grid/crs/install/rootcrs.pl-deverrouiller

4. apply the patch using opatch

opatch apply - oh local /u01/app/11.2.0.3/grid-/u01/patches/tmp/13951456

5 run the suite.

sudo /u01/app/11.2.0.3/grid/crs/install/rootcrs.pl-patch

6 start the instance.

srvctl start House o /u01/app/oracle/product/11.2.0.3/dbhome_1 s/u01/patches/tmp/ampxt1d1_status n

Concerning

Hello

(1) the o Specifies the oracle House and s specifies a path for the command "srvctl stop home" store the State of the resources. in this case, command (srvctl stop home - o) stops anything running oracle home.

(2) rootcrs.pl with - unlock flag unlocks the CRS home and make it ready to patch.

(3) the - oh indicator command opatch specifies oracle home to work on. This takes precedence over the ORACLE_HOME environment variable

(4) - patch flag of the rootcrs.pl command specifies the oracle home is upgraded and lock it.

(5) control of House o srvctl start will start the oracle home and all service runs from this House.

Kind regards

So, what is the recommended method when you apply the patches?
    Using update instead?

Yes. As its name indicates, you use esxcli with the update command when applying updates. In this way, that he would not have replaced your driver tg3 with an older version.

Oh the good ol esxupdate, rip. But I have a few complaints about what esxcli now provides.

I was able to solve this problem. It seems that, in the frame following the instructions for applying the patch to WebHelp, fix for Internet Explorer 10, some files have been deleted.

Fortunately, my TI support person had made a backup of the folders before him applied the patches and was able to copy the missing files.

I'm now able to generate again the WebHelp.

Did you start Oracle services again? In this case, you will need to repeat the procedure I mentioned. Thanks to my experience stop services do not unlock some dll, so OPatch fails with error code 41. After the reboot run OPatch with administrator privileges.

  • lyingWhen application of a fix via ADOPTION, he failed with the AutoPatch error: you must be in Maintenance Mode to apply the patches.

Everything by applying the patch Patch 18345006 as explained in Doc 1981206.1 , in the phase to apply it, I get the error

    AutoPatch error:

You must be in Maintenance Mode to apply the patches.

You can use the AD Administration utility to set the Maintenance Mode.

I'm on Oracle EBS 12.2.4, Windows 2008 R2 x 64, 2 appl_tops not shared and the error occurs on the primart node.

    How I applied the patch

    source, run fs

adoption phase = apply patches = 18345006 = no allnodes

The issue was that my tns ifile was entered incorrectly for _PATCH entered tns. After having corrected the phase to APPLY fine.

Apparently, the maintenance mode error is just a smoke screen

  • Applying the fix to resolve the problem of forms

    Hello
I have a problem with the mouse so following this note * 12.1.1 Navigation mouse on established revenue does not work. Users must use keyboard tab [873720.1 ID] * apply a patch 9044638 to solve this problem. I would like to confirm that I have do apply it to good HOME (just to make sure).

As frmcmp_batch version returns (10.1.2.3) or $ORACLE_HOME 10.1.2. So, can I apply this patch to 10.1.2 House. Am I wrong?

Before you apply this hotfix, the required minimum opatch is 1.0.0.0.60 or 10.1.0.0 but my current opatch version is 1.0.0.0.57. So I apply the p6880880_101000 hotfix. My concern is do I apply this to the only ORACLE_HOME forms only or IAS_ORACLE_HOME as well.

    Thank you
    Taher

    Taher,

    Right.

For the developer ORACLE_HOME (forms/States), then connect as user applmgr and source of the env file application before applying the patch.

    Thank you

  • 10.1.2.3 the FRM-92100 value after applying the fix

    Hello
Yesterday, we have applied the patch set 10.1.2.3 and patch 7482020 on a Windows Server. Today, about 20% of our ended unexpectedly with error forms describe below after clicking on a button. Even if the PL/SQL code is begin null; end; the user would be disconnected from the Application Server. I searched on metalink but find nothing relevant. I can't find nothing related between the buggy forms or different shapes non-buggy.

    Can anyone help please?

    Francis

We have executed with this patch for a long time now and have never encountered a problem like this.

Using JInitiator or the Java Plugin (recommended)?

Have you tried to empty the cache memory of the POT on the client? Your FMB can also be damaged somehow - have you tried their reconstruction on a Suite of developer with the exact same patch as the Application Server level?

You can also try the new patch 7703734super-fusion, which replaces the previous Super-fusion 7482020 and see if that helps somehow.

If this does not help, you must connect a SR on Metalink and get support to help you resolve it.

    Hope this helps,
    Jacob

  • error message ' GetLogicalProcessorInformation... kernel32.dll ' after you apply the update to firefox 36.0

I used firefox 35.0.1 and just applied the update 36.0 a few hours ago.
After that, I was unable to run firefox.
When I double-click on the icon of firefox, it bumps on the error message 2.
    1 of them is ' GetLogicalProcessorInformation... kernel32.dll. "
and the other is 'exceptional unknown error (0xc06d007e) at 0x7c812a5b.

those are key words of the message since I use firefox traditional version, do not know if I translate correctly.
wonder if I can just get back to 35.0.1 and wait for another update to fix this

Hi again, mozilla has just released an update for firefox 36.0.1 to focus on the issue: ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/36.0.1/win32/
