Got another driver, I need to use the system recovery.

Have the former driver of the year 2006 by microsoft, need of the driver for the AMD processor by AMD. Looked around, but couldn't find and forget to go to the Device Manager to update the processor it says its uptodate lol that's also not true.

To the best of my knowledge AMD does not provide a driver of processor for consumers. AMD provides the driver to Microsoft for use in the Windows operating system. The only driver AMD lists for your APU (CPU/GPU) is the graphic driver. If you have not successfully updated for SP1 Win7 yet, I suggest you do before installing other software/drivers.

Go to Device Manager > processors > (double-click on a processor) > driver > Driver Details [this is XP, should be the same or close for Win7]. Under Details of the file driver as a driver "C:\windows\system32\drivers\intelppm.sys" file (it is an Intel CPU) should be listed. Below that should be a version of the file as ' 5.1.2600.2180 {xpsp_sp2_rtm.040803 - 2158} "(it is a XP SP2 install). If these items on your computer appears "amdppm.sys" (or something similar) for the driver and something like "6.1.7600.16385 {xxxxxxx}" for file version, your system is up-to-date. If you see something like "6.1.7601.xxxxx {xxxxxxx} for the version of the file, you are running Win7 SP1."

My HP Pavilion p-7-1254 with an APU of 3620 AMD-A-6 + Radeon 6530 D graphic processor (2.20 GHZ) socket FM1 can be upgraded to the new APU AMD - A8 - 3870 K + Radeon HD 6550 3.0 GHZ. processor, or am I have maxed out with the 2.9 GHZ AMD-A8-3850. processor. In theory, it should work. However, HP generally does not support the "unlocked" processors and the A8 - 3870K is an unlocked CPU.

  • HP Pavilion 15-g092sa: salvation is my extensible apu?

Hi, I bought a HP Pavilion 15 - g092sa from currys/pc world a few months ago and not happy with im is 2,00 ghz for the games. I want to upgrade to a better if possible apu, for example 2.5 ghz or more. Is it possible to update? and where can I spend it? Thank you very much for your help!

It's the HP Pavilion 15-g092sa AMD A8-6410 R5 RADEON GRAPHIC card

The APU I haveno stretch in place s. This issue that you are facing, it's that the APU is integrated on the motherboard. It is not a half-bridge APU (name an AMD cpu).

To upgrade the graphics would require a modification of the APU and it would mean a change of motherboard. Changing a motherboard is on top for most of the owners of mobile phones. It's pretty much a change in mobile integer.

  • AMD CPU compatibility

    Hello

I have a question about amd processors. I want to replace my old with AMD Phenom ii Dual Core Mobile N640.

I use hp 635 laptop and I still don't know if the processor is compatible with my laptop.

I am looking for on the web but I can't find anything useful on this model.

Please someone help me in my odd sentence.

PS: (sorry for the bad English)

The following illustration shows the N-series AMD processors compatible with your portable computer with BIOS support. The N640 is not supported by the BIOS. I suggest that you find a CPU N660 rather for better compatibility and less risk to your disposable income.

  • G6 2255 ev Pavilion: ssd

    Hello
I would like to know what kind of ssd, adapts to my laptop.
I want to upgrate from my laptop and put an ssd instead of dvd.
So what exactly should I look for?
also, is it better to put a ssd, or change my processor?
    I have the amd a6 - 4400 m with 8 GB of ram.
is it better to put the amd a10 - 4600 m, (I see that it's the best compatible processor).
    Thank you

How to upgrade and what it takes to upgrade depends on what you want to do with your computer. As previously reported by @Blitzgaming, the SSD will best improve the overall computing experience. He will start faster and programs open faster; nothing better than an SSD. Don't resist the SSD. You need a width of 2.5-inch SATA SSD. SATA 2 or 3 makes no difference. You would find a SATA 2 on the market now, just so buy something current and are looking for a good sale. The SSD will operate at optimal speed may allow the motherboard (I'm sure that yours is SATA 3 also) and even on a SATA 2 system, a 3 SATA SSD will work super fast.

If you can afford it, get at least a gig of 480 or 500 GB SSD, but you can get with a concert of 240. The Sandisk above is a good but then again, if you can afford it, get a Samsung 850 Evo.

Also good as a SSD is, it won't do anything really for the games. Your laptop can be upgraded to the processor, A10 - 4600M in this case is called an APU. The processor chip is also the video card and an upgrade of your A6 to A10 would also mean improved video performance, HD 7520 to 7660. And AMD processors differently than Intels are not terrible expensive.

    https://www.Amazon.com/AMD-A10-4600M-quad-core-2-3GHz-AM4600DEC44HJ/DP/B00D6MZ5P4/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8 & qid = 1466338787 & SR = 8-1 & Keywords = A10 - 4600M

You will yet have a 'game', but you will do a bit more fluid gaming experience and better frame rates. I do not recommend upgrades to the processor in general except on the models of the series AMD since you also update the video at the same time.

Always, kind of stop and think about $ 100 or $ 150 for one SSD and $65 for a processor and wonder if that money is better applied to a new laptop? Your call.

  • Pavilion g6 - 2217cl: the HP Pavilion g6 - 2217cl RAM and CPU/GPU upgrade

    Hey there, I am looking to upgrade the RAM and CPU/GPU on my G6 Pavilion. Here's my current characteristics;

    Laptop model: HP Pavilion G6 - 2217cl

    Operating system: Windows 10 family (x 64)

Current RAM: 6 GB (used 2 slots)

CPU/GPU: AMD A8 - 4500 APU with Radeon HD graphics card

What are the possibilities should I upgrade?

If more information is needed, I'll be happy to provide.

It supports up to 8 GB of memory and the processor can be upgraded to a 10 - 4600M. Here is the Manual:

    Manual

There is no video card to upgrade, but for the models of series AMD A video is contained in the processor itself and an upgrade of the processor also carries with it an upgrade for HD 7640 G HD 7660 G video. It's light but a bit noticeable and clock speed go from 2.8 ghz to 3.2 ghz, which is not huge but noticeable. Memory is a DDR3-1600 module, and you can replace your 2 gig with a 4 gig to spend 6 to 8.

Memory upgrade is as easy as... CPU/APU don't upgrade not so much.

  • HP-G4-1303AU: I want to upgrade the CPU in my laptop HP-G4-1303AU [redacted]

I use a laptop HP Pavilion G4 [1303AU]. Serial number is (deleted content). I want to upgrade the CPU processor application to some hearts one. Please anyone suggest me which processors can install and are compatible. Also let me know what I need to change for the processor to function correctly.

My laptop is too hot. What should do?

Please suggest me for the above two questions.

    Thanks in advance.

    Here is the Manual:

    Repair manuals

You can remove your AMD A4 processor and install a

    AMD A8 - 3520M 2.50 GHz processor (1.6 GHz FSB, 4, 0 - MB L2 cache, quad core, 35 W)

The manual shows how to do it. The A8 processor will be a quick replacement; You can reuse the heat sink and won't need any part other than the processor. While you are there, it will give a good opportunity to clean the inside and apply new thermal paste between the top of the processor and the lower part of the radiator. Clean the blades of the fan with a q-tip with alcohol, then wipe each blade with a lint cloth carefully to make sure that everyone is clean as a whistle. On the A-series AMD when you upgrade the processor, actually get you a small bump in video performance. The processor is actually called an APU and is somewhat simplified, the CPU and video card. Normally I advice against upgrades the processor laptop, but on this one particular type, I think it's logical given that the processors are cheap, because there is not much demand for them. Intels are a lot more. After the back if you need assistance. Good luck.

  • Pavilion DV6 6190br: Upgrade - HP Pavilion DV6 6190br Chipset

    Greetings.

My question is not essentially simple and requires a goal and a technical answer:

Which Chipset more than 3 Ghz correspond with my HP Pavilion DV6 6190br device?

What is an APU (by default) or can it be both, chipset and graphics card?

I'll definitely upgrade my hardware for games and other activities hard.

    Thank you!

You can't pass the chipset. Even with a desktop computer you could do either. The chipset is what is integrated on the motherboard in a notebook and on a motherboard for a desktop PC.

The graphic solution that HP has tested with the motherboard installed are the following: what you have is the only option offered HP. The installed AMD A8 APU has the AMD Radeon™ HD 6620 G of the graphics on the APU chip as a system on a chip. If you want to learn more about the installed APU, see the document next to the web.

  • Update the graphics driver on Pavilion 15-b150

So I have a HP Pavilion 15-b150 with AMD Radeon HD 7400 G and I was wondering if there is a way to update the graphics drivers (on Win8)? That I have are the same ones as on the page of the product on the HP site and they are quite old. I tried to use the Catalyst update since the site of AMD, but he told me that it was inconsistent because of hardware/software? Surely, there must be a way to update.

Have you tried the driver beta on the link below (at the bottom of the page)?
