HP Pavilion 15-g092sa: salvation is my extensible apu?

Hi, I bought a HP Pavilion 15 - g092sa from currys/pc world a few months ago and not happy with im is 2,00 ghz for the games. I want to upgrade to a better if possible apu, for example 2.5 ghz or more. Is it possible to update? and where can I spend it? Thank you very much for your help!

It's the HP Pavilion 15-g092sa AMD A8-6410 R5 RADEON GRAPHIC card

The APU I haveno stretch in place s. This issue that you are facing, it's that the APU is integrated on the motherboard. It is not a half-bridge APU (name an AMD cpu).

To upgrade the graphics would require a modification of the APU and it would mean a change of motherboard. Changing a motherboard is on top for most of the owners of mobile phones. It's pretty much a change in mobile integer.

  • HP Notebook 15z AF100 CTO: is extensible APU? (HP Notebook 15z AF100 CTO)

    Hi all

I researched if my APU factory is evolutionary or not, but can't seem to locate any definitive duty meets everywhere both on hp.com as well as Googling 3rd party forums.

    Data sheet:

Model: HP Notebook 15z AF100 CTO

    APU: E1 - 6015 APU with graphics Radeon R2 1.35 Ghz AMD

    Motherboard: HP 8137 (socket FT1)

I searched through the maintenance and Service of Guide: http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c04653881

and the User Guide: http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c04782350 but no address replacing the CPU let alone any mention of an APU. In the Maintenance Guide (page 50), that do not show the processor being removable when to replace the heat sink so this leads be to think that it can not be welded in. It remains unclear, however, if the whole system is compatible with a more quick/more strong APU.

I tried the search by the motherboard and processor individually on the HP support site, but nothing helps. This model of laptop doesn't seem to be too popular because there is very little 3rd party results and almost no YouTube videos on it. My warranty just ended if HP will not help free of charge.

Did someone knows if the APU is scalable and if so could you please answer the following:

    1. the BIOS will support the upgrade of the APU?

2 cooling systems (heat sink) interns will be able to support a faster APU?

    3. are there other inherent risks with the upgrade of the APU on this model which may not be designed to support it?

    Thank you for your help.

    Hello

Welcome to the HP support forum. Unfortunately my answers will not be good news:

    1 no,

2 No, it uses E1-6015 (1.4 GHz, 1 MB L2 cache, 1333 MHz, dual, 15W) and this machine has maybe not a fan for CPU.

    3. you can not go so no answer to this question.

The truth is: you have to buy a whole with CPU motherboard if you want to update, and it is a very expensive upgrade.

    Kind regards.

    Hello:

Download, unzip and install driver beta AMD my Skydrive folder on the link below.  This is the first file on the upper left side of the page.

Who should install the HD 8400.

Then to install the 8670M, you must do this...

Download and unzip the Beta even once again.

Then download and install this free utility for files.

    http://7-zip.org/

After installing 7 - zip right click on the unzipped beta driver and select the 7 - zip file utility in the list of options.

Select to extract the file to a folder. I choose to extract to the folder with the name of the file version beta so it is easy to find in the next step.

Now that you have unpacked the beta exe to a folder, go to the Device Manager and click to expand the category of display cards.  Click on the 8670 M need driver. Click the driver tab click on Update driver.

Select her browse my computer for driver software, and then on the bottom of this window, let him choose from a list of drivers for devices on my computer.

Select disk, and then locate the folder 7 - zip created\$ _OUTDIR\Packages\Drivers\Display\WB6A_INF\CU165580 and select the AMD Radeon HD 8600 M series graphics adapter in the list and the driver should install.

  • What motherboard do I have on my Pavilion g7-1219 wm laptop

I own a Pavilion g7-1219 wm laptop with an Apu AMD E - 450 wih Radeon (TM) HD Graphics 1.65 ghz and I tried to upgrade my processor for a while now, but I don't have any idea of which processors my motherboard supports and I watched this manual on the Pavilion and I am simply too confusing , I'd like an answer to see which processor I can go too and how what it would cost.

    Thank you.

    Hello:

Here is the link to the service manual for your laptop. Care provided in Chapter 1.

    http://bizsupport1.Austin.HP.com/BC/docs/support/SupportManual/c02834058/c02834058.PDF

You have already taken the best processor in charge.

Not only that, but from these Fusion processors, you can not upgrade. They are part of the motherboard.

The card mother set must be replaced in order to upgrade.

  • @ the location of the key

Hi just bought a new HP Pavilion DV6-6101 with AMD A6 - 3410MX APU 1.6 ghz 8 GB RAM, 64-bit win 7 Home

The problem is the location of the @ key the symbol is on the upper button 2 but when you hold down the SHIFT key and press the 2 keys of this 'symbol appears. I found that the @ symbol is obtained by pressing the "key which is located immediately to the left of the Enter key.

Can someone help me reasign this symbol on its correct location.

    Thank you

I had the same problem only in the opposite direction - my @ key is near the button enter and the "key is second to top left." I think I've solved by going into Control Panel, select "region and language", click on the "keyboards and languages" tab and select "UK English" so presumably you have to select "English US". It must restart for the changes to take effect. This may help, but I am not a technophile.

  • Pavilion dv7-2270us: dv7-2270US extensible

After graduation from high school, my father gave me his laptop to study. It's a HP Pavilion dv7-2270us.

The system always works smoothly after years with HP quality . And I really want to keep.

Unfortunately, there is not enough RAM, CPU speed, memory display and storage for my work. I have to deal with some heavy software like Solidworks, Cartia, Matlab, etc... So, I want to upgrade to deal with current technology: SSD, Ram, etc.

Could you suggest what I can do to increase the speed of it. Should what type of SSD that suit I buy? What type of processor that the BIOS can be supported?

Last but not least, I live in Ho Chi Minh in the Viet Nam. Can I speak to the support agency for HP here to upgrade or contact the third company?

I can't wait to get the response from the forum.

    Thanks for reading my question!

    Hello

Looked like your dad bought a machine of Maurice tay. It is an old machine, very old indeed. The following link shows its specs

    http://h20564.www2.HP.com/hpsc/doc/public/display?docid=c01887272

All you can do is to upgrade

    1. RAM: 4 GB to 8 GB, check your local stores to buy RAM right and ask them to install for you.

2 HARD drive: there a fast HDD but if you wish you can exchange to SSD.

If this is so of course, you can contact HP Viet Nam or some other department stores (I don't remember their names) can help you.

Congratulations and good luck for the next steps of your life.

    Kind regards.

    Hello:

Here is the link for the usb driver, you must... Download, unzip and run the setup.exe file.

    https://Downloadcenter.Intel.com/download/22824/USB-3-0-driver-Intel-USB-3-0-Extensible-host-controller-driver-for-Intel-8-9-100-series-and-C220-C610-chipset-family?product=65855

Now, as to why you couldn't find the drivers on your laptop support page...

All the drivers, specifications and manuals are missing from pages support again.

They have disappeared since Friday night.

This happened earlier in the week also.

Another Member of the forum has reported the problem to administrators forum, which will be in touch tour HP, but since I am not employed by, nor do I represent HP, I don't know how long it will take to restore the missing data to the support pages.

If all goes well, now that it's Monday, HP is going to move to fixing the real problem soon.
