  you have a problem with my Windows laptop that left me speechless.

  After these steps, the registry under "Drive" and "Directory" information are as attaché at the end read somewhere there should be a "find" under lock and key, as I have, but don't know if the subkeys under 'Search' are what causes weird behavior.

  If anyone knows and could provide what the values for the registry values must be in a system that works, would be nice to compare to possible problems.

  Noticed that the small group 'Users' did not have access to "Drive". Grant read access, even as the "directory" and other registry keys next to them, for "users".

  Now see the values of registry as a limited user, but the problem persists. Do you really know what to try next, after spending hours Googling for answers.

  It seems that I managed to solve the problem on my own. Did two things:

  1 set the registry keys determine programs associated objects 'Répertoire', 'Drive' and 'File' to the default values by using the settings found here: http://www.dougknox.com/xp/file_assoc.htm

  HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Drive\
  HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Folder\

  2. If you want to have permissions for group 'Users' to read all these keys in the registry. For some reason any access worked only partly for standard users.

  Not sure who finally solved this problem, but after I had finished 1. and 2. for the purpose of 'Record', by clicking on 'My computer' and any folder works normally for all users of the computer.

  I suspect that some recent installation of program which adds actions associated with these objects messed up the registry. Suspects are Norton Antivirus and dbPowerAmp.

  Remove components of Babylon:

  Remove the toolbar (from Extensions)

  1. open Mozilla Firefox. Go to the menu button FF.

  3. Select search on the Web (Babylon) and click Remove.

  Remove/change the homepage:

  5. open Mozilla Firefox. Click the FF menu button.

  6. Select Options.

  7. Select the general tab.

  8. in the section of the menu titled "Home Page", enter the URL of your desired Home Page.

  9. click OK to save the changes.

  Remove Babylon Search in new tab

  1 type the address bar about: config and press ENTER.

  2. confirm the pop-up message.

  "URL Bar Search" which is an extension? Or are you referring to the address bar, sometimes called the address bar?

  Let's try a few basic trounleshooting.

  Try Firefox Safe mode to see if the problem goes away. Firefox Safe mode is a troubleshooting mode that temporarily disables hardware acceleration, restores some settings and disables add-ons (extensions and themes).

  If Firefox is open, you can restart Firefox Safe mode in the Help menu:

  • Click on the menu button , click Help , and then select restart with disabled modules.

  If Firefox does not work, you can start Firefox in Mode safe as follows:

  • On Windows: Hold down the SHIFT key when you open the desktop Firefox or shortcut in the start menu.
  • On Mac: Hold the option key during the startup of Firefox.

  If the problem is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, theme or hardware acceleration.   To exit safe mode of Firefox, simply close Firefox and wait a few seconds before you open Firefox for normal use again.

• I use add time to find and organize research, FF34 only has no search box, how can I add a?

  I tend to use the Site search, if available, instead, bookmarks, I use "add to search bar" to make the correct xml file, then I use to organize research to the group by category... (373 user research currently xml files) as soon as FireFox put to upgrade to 34, I see an empty space in the toolbar instead of the search box... • Since the update to Firefox 13, most of google's sites will not work in the browser, including gmail, google docs and even research.
