Are blackBerry smartphones we able to create a personal hotspot on BB Bold 9700?

Hello

Are we able to create a personal hotspot on BB Bold 9700? If so, how do synchronize us then with an IPAD or Tablet? Thank you!

Any phone with OS 7.1 + can create a Wi - Fi hotspot.  The Bold 9700 running OS 5 and cannot be upgraded to OS 7.1 due to material limitations, so no access point cannot be created on a 9700.

I hope that helps you.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones look at one of the PDFs on a BB Bold 9700

    Hello:

I have to admit that I am new to Blackberry phones and must add that they are all just great for business on the road.

My question is I tried BeamReader and it opened a header backwards image, and I am trying RepliGo Reader which is better with this issue, but seems slow opening a file of pdf 5 MB which includes images scanned in 2 and 2 pages of typed texts, I created. The images are pages 1 & 2 and trying to open this pdf file, it will take at least 30 seconds to see anything.

RepliGo people told me that it is normal that the BB doesn't have a lot of RAM or a fast processor according to the standards of the computer, so that's all.

I plan to Go/updated Documents updated features include a pdf reader which would receive all of a company.

I have a lot of brochures on the products which are pdf files from the companies I represent, so get on the phone and other things is the reason for a pdf reader. I take also my laptop for this too.

Is anyone out there tried these programs and what is you, recommendations and outcomes?

Thank you for allowing me to this post.

    Sincerely,

    Bud Holewinski

I used all three. I find the product PDFtoGo my recipe and faster.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones not able to get my phone to work unless in safe mode

There are two problems I see. Yesterday, I've updated througn Office of BB online. I have now deleted the BB 7.1.0 CoreApplications four times. When I start my phone one of the two things happening. I can enter my password, but when I hit the key enter the phone crashes and will only go to safe mode. The second thing that happens is it accepts my password, but immediately the following message - Eception Exception: Java.Lang.Error there is an option to click OK but when I get my BB freezes. I have installed and uninstalled all languages twice, I restarted a dozen times or more, I reinstalled a version more ancient dating back months and not seen no change to these questions. I can work the phone in safe mode, but this isn't a solution. I find this very frustrating. I would also like to be able to talk to a human being on this subject but can't find a number on your website. A WTF happening? I'm about to launch this phone in the tray and get an IPhone!

Hello and welcome to the community!

I think that you may need to perform a clean reload OS... from your post, I can't quite tell if you did that.

Please visit this official download portal as you go along. If all you want are the levels of BONE, it is first sorted by carrier - the carrier supports, your search will be fast. However, some carriers are much slower than others to release updates. To really get the package up-to-date OS for your BB, you need to dig through and find all businesses that support your specific model BB and then compare the BONE levels they support.

From a PC, you can install any compatible OS package (for example, for your BB model exact number) of a BB via this procedure:

Note Although written to "recharge" and the storm, it can be used to upgrade, downgrade or recharge any BB device model - depends on the operating system package you download and install on your PC. After installing the operating system on your PC package, please remember to remove all copies of the SELLER on your PC. XML... There will be at least one and maybe 2, and they will be located in the same way or to (it changes based on your version of Windows) these files:

    • C:\Program Files (x 86) \Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader
    • C:\Users\(your Windows username) \AppData\Roaming\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Loader XML

Don't forget that you remove, since your PC, any other BB OS devices as packages with more than one installed on the PC can cause conflicts with this procedure.

You can also study the use of BBSAK (bbsak.org) to perform the wipe what he is capable.

You can also try the "skeleton OS Reload procedure" in an attempt to circumscribe the precise causal element:

    1. Load your OS "bare bones"... If everything is optional, do not install it.
    2. If the behavior is immediately, then try another OS with step 1
    3. If the behavior does not immediately, then run for as long as necessary to make you to be sure that the behavior will not occur.
    4. Add one more thing - no matter how tempting, one.
    5. If the behavior does not immediately present, and then runs for long enough to be sure he won't have the same problem
    6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 until all things are responsible or the behavior presents

When the behavior shows up, you know the culprit... the last thing you have loaded.

If the behavior doesn't re-present, then you know that step 1 or 2 cured it.

If the behavior has anything, then you have probably a problem of material level for which no amount of OS or software can heal.

You may also use these tips:

If you are on a MAC, you are limited to only your sanctioned carriers OS packages... but can still use any level they currently have to sanction. See this procedure:

Please refer to this information, which is at the top of each page on this site:

Contractually, BlackBerry cannot provide any support from first line for nothing. All support first line begins with mobile service providers, to the place of origin of purchase or an authorized service center (it varies according to the region and the specific question). When you bought your device and the services, you should have been informed about your methods of formal support... If you weren't, you need to check your place of origin of purchase or your service provider mobile as to what those who are for you.

Good luck and let us know!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones be able to send emails

My bbm and facebook work, but I can't send emails. I was able to receive simply not send them. Anyone know why or how to remedy?

Hello and welcome to the community!

I suggest the following, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message to your BB to come...) Please wait for this before moving on to the next step):

    (1) registry HRT

    • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network

    (2) remove and return Service directories

    • KB05000 Remove the maintenance book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account in the BlackBerry smartphone
    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service

    (3) restart to take batt

    • Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

I hope that will move things again for you! If not, then you should try remove and re-add your BIS lines for these accounts.

  • Smartphones blackBerry 3G signal is originally from draining the battery on my bold 9700

    Hi all

I don't know if anyone could say this already in the forum. I found nothing when I searched keywords.

Drain the battery of my bold 9700 seems to be caused by the 3G signal. I know it sounds weird that a signal could cause such a thing.

With the signal 3G on my battery lasts for 15 minutes at the most. I'm not a hardcore user, I just check my mail and tweet (not all day - some of us have a job to do and may not be on twitter every 2 seconds). The phone would just stop (I don't mean it restarts and I don't get the message informing me in that battery power has been drained).

I've done the things suggested. I reinstalled the operating system and I went in the distant downgrade the OS OS5, but the question always remained. I've since upgraded to the version of OS6 2949 (latest OS for this phone). I also uninstalled all applications check the cause of the problem.

My last resort was to disable 3G and don't stay in 2G and in doing so, my phone battery can now last a whole day.

If I want to use 3G, and not have my phone die on me, I have to put it on a charger. Basically, the phone becomes a landline.

This could be a possible solution for anyone experiencing the same problem.

BTW, I've had this phone for almost two years now and I left still completely applications every time I have stop using them, that they are never active in the background.

    My phone details:

    Model: 9700 "Bold"

    Carrier: Vodafone

    OS: version 6 2949 (I think it's the latter)

  • BlackBerry Smartphones far East language and other issues of Support for Bold 9780 - please provide your comments!

    Hello

Here is my card for your info:

BB Bold 9780 (bought 3 days ago - unlocked to carriers)

My carrier - Vodafone (Australia) - BIS active

    Computers - Macbook Pro

After some research on the web all day, I discovered that far East languages is not yet available on the Bold 9780.

I understand that I must language of d/l a far east of the carrier (mine is Vodafone Australia), in order to read and input Chinese, Japanese, or Korean language on the BB. It's extremely frustrating, and I feel that we're going backward in the field of smart phones - globalization have been an important factor for many bright smart phone users out there.

I have a few questions, I hope that you guys can provide comments:

    1. what kind of time we talk to have the language support for the far East region? I would never have bought the new BB (probably would have gone for the 9700) if I knew that East Asian languages is not available on the new BB! ?? I know that it is covered by the carriers, but surely RIM provides the build?

    2. as I am a newbie (I just 2.5 years of iPhones), I do not understand the concept (or it's documented all that clearly) to have a 5 device and software OS6? what the devil is the difference, or are they just the same? thinking, maybe this is... but why is already released OS6, but I still see the "last and best Device Software 5" throughout the site of BB? someone help me please understand this.

    3. is it possible that I can load an earlier version of the device software (Vodafone provides a Far - east Pak BB Bold 9700)? I tried several times, after running and unzipped the file in Desktop Manager, the device software is not even on my Desktop Manager (v6). is it because the Desktop Manager detects the version of my phone and does not allow vodafone to 9700 from the list of applications to load software? or does?

    4. on my MAC, I can't install the plugin App world - he says that it is not available on a Mac... How mac users supposed to do use desktop base access App World? I know that we are not a majority, but it is obsurd - that being said, I'm not unreasonable, I can live with that.

5 make BB have phone support in Australia? again, I can live with not one, but I've seen feeling is also unreasonable.

Please don't get me wrong - I could met whining - but I desperately want my new device works... I love so many things about the BB, and after taking the big step of the iphone, I find a lot of things that were never mentioned on crackberry, or any other site of fanboy of BB...

Thank you in advance, look forward to your comments!

    PBM

    Hello

Okay... Let's start first... these forums are not a communication channel / rim. These forums are rather a community of support to users. RIM offers zero frontline support... all support is carried out by carriers and authorized resellers, who have the ability to escalate into WHEEL if necessary.

OK... with that of the road, we shall proceed:

Impossible for anyone here to know... or if they don't know, against the team of specialists on this site to reveal.

Another interest is the fact that, through the agent download portal for your carrier indicated, your BB model is not yet listed:

OS 6 is the next generation of BB OS (and there's even chatter on OS7 "out there"). The version the most recent supported by your operator is available via their download portal linked above (but with your conspicuous by their absence model number). OS 6 is now available for some model BBs only (I don't know if it has been released for your template declared BB). But the BONES are never published by RIM to the public... rather only to carriers who must certify and adopt an operating system and then release it to their users. The reason for this fall at the beginning of this post... they (carriers) are responsible for all support... so, they reserve the right to adopt or reject an OS that RIM just to present to them.

You can use ONLY a bundle of BONES that is your specific model BB number... nothing else will work. A 9700 isn't a 9780, so OS packages are not interchangeable. The best procedure, that I know about (upgrading, downgrading, reload) load a bundle of BONES is here:

Note that this only works on PC, Mac. But, you are not limited with this procedure, for only your carriers OS packages. You are free to use any bundle of BONES of any carrier until it's your specific model BB number. If you choose to do, then everything just insert, between steps 1 and 2, the deletion, on your PC, a file named PROVIDER. XML.

I send back you at the beginning... all support starts with your carrier.

  • Smartphone blackBerry OS 6 decreases considerably the independence and performance of the Bold 9700

    Info on the device

    Your carrier: AT & T

    Bold 9700 OS6 Bundle 2342

    Apps and free space

File before and after a battery to remove/replace. (Go to settings, then Options then status): free memory is 58291905 bytes

A battery pull fix your problem? No!

Installed apps and their version if possible.   (Go to settings, then Options, then applications):

The BT model/version device (you have to look at the BT device): Standard of the applications of the box.

Well Yes, installed OS6 on the "BOLD" and shows the famous BB battery life vanish along with all of the performance, but to stop. Small dial is almost always upward.

Why RIM would allow installation of software that absolutely ruin the device. I'm about to turn the device for one * sigh * driod... As battery life is more a determining factor, I guess.

Solution: Downgraded to OS 5, all right.

  • Meeting place 11 not be able to use iPhone Personal Hotspot

We have several 11 7130 place devices that we evaluate before deciding if we want to buy for all remote users.  None of them were able to use an iPhone 5 Personal hotspot as a connection to the internet.  The hotspot indicates a connection available.  The Tablet connects. The hotspot indicates briefly as a fully connected. But trying to go to the Internet in Internet Explorer, you get the page not found.  Weather app of TheTablet says offline.  Anything that requires access to the internet will not work.  When you go to settings and look for the WifI, hotspot persnoal connection status says 'limited '.  The iPhone shows that Personal Hotspot has 1 connection.

We tried several iPhones on several tablets and they do not work.  Is this a known issue?  I can't imagine being the only one with a problem like that, is not a defect in a single machine.  and a question like this would be a big obstacle to the acceptance of this tablet as a viable mobile device.

Connection via Bluetooth to iPhone has the same problem as well, shows they are connected, but no internet access is available.

It seems to be caused by a low-power wireless adapter.  The default settings on the place of the 11 sessions must be changed in Power Options.

    • Go to control panel > Power Options.
    • In the Power Options screen, click on the plan for the Dell Power Plan settings.
    • On the screen change Plan settings click on change advanced power settings.
    • In the advanced power settings screen, click on the + sign next to the wireless adapter settings.  Then the sign for the power saving Mode.  The battery is probably average energy saving.
    • Change for maximum Performance.  If the parameter Plugged In is not at maximum Performance, you must change this one as well.

According to the power Plan that you are running, you may need to change the settings for the Power Saver Power Plan as well.  Same steps apply as noted above.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones New email address creates new calendar?

    I'm having the following problem...

From my desktop, I use a USB cable to sync my Outlook calendar and tasks on my Storm2 contacts.  Also, I have a laptop and use BlueTooth to sync contacts Outlook, calendar, and tasks with the Storm2.  The sync seems fine work.

I wanted to access my personal email so I put in place by selecting and then CONFIGURE PARAMETERS of E-MAIL and follow the wizard.  It worked perfectly... but it also created another calendar which seems related to the new email address. This caused problems when you try to synchronize, my office has been updated a calendar while the laptop has been updated on the other.

When I deleted the email address of the additional claendar has also been removed.

Am I missing something, why a second calendar is created when I set up an e-mail account?

    Thanks for your help

Possible solution: I suddenly had the same problem, and I had made no changes to my phone or my account which I was aware.  But I came across this solution that worked for me.  First of all, I would recommend that you back up your Blackberry to your computer using the Desktop Manager.  I found that what I propose below is reversible, but just in case...

Then go to Options-> advanced-> service book Options

You will see a list of your e-mail, and associated with each of these accounts is a calendar.  E-mail accounts are labeled CMIME and calendars are labeled CICAL.

Select the CICAL account for the calendar that you want to remove, press the menu button on your Blackberry and select Remove.  Do this for each calendar you want missing from your Blackberry.  I did it for the list of CICAL associated with each of my email accounts, and now all I have is the calendar by default list, which is that I have synced with my Google Calendar.  (It seems that you will always be able to 'Undelete' a CICAL if you opt for the calendar to return for some reason any.)  I can't promise this is the case, but so far I've been able to transform their market at will, even after turning the device off and turn it back on).

I hope this helps!  As I said, I have no idea why it was suddenly happening, as I've had these same four addresses on my Blackberry for over a year and the synchronization with Google very well, showing only the default calendar.  Everything is back to normal now with the fix above.  I hope you can say the same thing soon!

The week last Blackberry internet service sent me the following message is displayed:

Update the password for [email protected] in the Blackberry Internet Service!  The e-mail messages are not delivered to your BlackBerry.  To resume receiving messages email to this email address, update the password in the Blackberry Internet Service.

The thing is that my password for this e-mail account has not changed, so I was confused as to why am I being asked to update.  I tried anyway.  I was unable to.  So I contacted my ISP technical support.  They suggested I remove entirely the BIS account and then add again.  I deleted the account and now I am unable to add.  When I try to add I get the following message:

    1. an error occurred during validation of the email account.  Please check your information and try again.

All the info, as I entered are correct.  Why is - BIS is no longer recognizing my email?

It seems that there is no resolution to my problem, but there are ways around it.  Thank you!
