AS3/AIR with interpolation/testing applications outside the Simulator

I have a few questions here.

(1) I want to implement a Tween more to my application, but most of the examples I find it introduce as an application, flash or Flex, that quiet honestly Flex/XML/Any-language-help -<> TERRIBLE is to write the code for, and my application is strictly written in AS3.  I searched for a while and I found a few examples, but I can't get them to run in the environment AIR runtime, even if I saw videos of people doing exactly that.  Anyone else cela and could perhaps shed some light on how to test your application in the AIR runtime env?

(2) also if anyone knows of some good examples of interpolation made in pure AS3, perhaps even in the EPS to AIR that would be GREAT!  I learn best by taking examples and pulling them apart.

I'm not really sure how to answer Q1, but I will say that I'm pure - AS3 apps, as I think that most people on this forum do, so it's not any problem to do in pure as3 apps.  See http://docs.blackberry.com/en/developers/deliverables/25068/Creating_your_first_application_1348731 _...

Regarding the second question, it is integrated into the SDK API called Tweener.  It's super easy to use.  You can see the reference of the document with many examples to http://hosted.zeh.com.br/tweener/docs/en-us/.  The key is:

Tweener.addTween (yourObject, {property1:final_value, time: numSeconds, transition: transitionName});

yourObject is, in fact any object, but probably a display object in many cases

inside the curlies, you can specify as many properties of "yourObject' as you want (such as x, y, scaleX, color etc...).  final_value is just the value that the property will be at the end of the numSeconds is (a number).  The above site, I gave you a list of all the transitions you can use (as exponential or linear, etc.).

We must be able to access a text copy of the Simulator event outside the Simulator logs.

The goal is to have a tester to be able to send logs of the Simulator to a developer when they run into a problem with the application.

  • Impossible to deploy my application on the Simulator more

Since there are 4 days, I can't deploy and run my application on the Simulator more, I get this message all the time:

Failure of deployment: Info: request shipment: install and launch
    Info: Action: install and launch
    News: Native debugging: on
    Info: File size: 482774
    Info: Installing eir.bb10.CorporateContacts.testDev_ateContacts1e5ecb89...
    Info: Treatment 482774 bytes

What could be the problem? I later use NDK, reinstalled all, using 3 different simulators, including the most recent, but without success.

I'd appreciate any help. It is very annoying, because I can't do any work and ship expected app updates, I face the environment of dev for 4 days! I have worked on many platforms and with many different tools, but I've never experienced anything like this.

    Thanks for the reply!

I managed to get things running in a similar way. I uninstalled everything, including the NDK and start over. I returned to VMWare Player v.4. I work mainly with outdated Simulator, we run the fastest for me, although later runs now too.

Yet EACH deployment on a Simulator takes several attempts, I don't remember when was the last time that the deployed application and runs correctly on the first attempt. I also change the download settings, switching between 'install bar' and 'clean install', these two works more often for me. Another thing to try in the meantime is to go for debugging directly, if the race does not...

It is a terrible experience and it's very laborious, as I end up losing most of my time trying to run my application on the Simulator, instead of productive coding. Sorry BlackBerry, but it's worse that develop for Android, iOS, Windows Phone, Java ME... I develop for these systems and has never had any topic also with any of them.

One of the reasons for the app started working again maybe do something with the code, because it contained errors, but the construction still successfully passed and they never showed me any error message in the IDE or in the Simulator. Anyway, I'll never know if my code had something to do with the cause of the problem, because the 'hack' held an older VM etc. But I write this so that people know that it can theoretically hinder deployment too.

  • Problem of collecting usage data with advanced BES application on the workspace

Hi I have a bb10 application that collect usage data. It work propaply when it is on the store and my personal space of peripheral company.

I used to get the use of the data as the sum of

    msm0, msm1, msm2, msm3, msm4, msm5, msm6, msm7 interfaces. And it was good.

Now I push through BES application on my workspace. The problem is that I do not have access to these interface more.

The interface only 3 I have now are lo0, lo2 and pflog

LO2 give me the use of the data that consumed by the application running in the workspace, but it only gives me something on the use of the data consumed in personal space.

How I verefied is playing a video in the workspace youyube, he loged in the use of the data. then I played the same video in personal space he connect anything.

I don't think that you can solve with a single application, as work and private space are separated.

  • How to test moduleDeletionsPending, in the Simulator, I don't have the option to remove my application

    How to test the following?

I want to test the functionality by using the method public void moduleDeletionsPending (String [] moduleNames). I had written logic that removes files from an SD card and it works when I call a menu inside my application item.

However, it should only be run when I uninstall the application.

In 9700 Simulator, if I select Options > Applications > [highlight the application] > [open the menu by pressing the Insert key on my keyboard] - I don't see the option to remove the application.

I don't see the delete option for other applications, such as the Klondike card game.

Should I set a property or the permissions of my app should be deleted in a simulator, so I can test the moduleDeletionsPending method?

    Thank you.

You will need to 'install' the app in the BlackBerry smartphone Simulator so that your application appear in the list of applications.  You won't see here when you perform an execution/debug as, when you use the file, the option of loading or copy it into the directory of Simulator.

The following link explains the different ways to install an application.

Note that you can install using a simulated so USB connection.  Click on the menu of the smartphone Simulator simulation BlackBerry and check USB cable connected.  Note that you can not the debugger attached when installing via a simulated USB connection.

  • Problem when launching an application in the Simulator with Eclipse

When I try to launch my app in the Simulator in Eclipse, I get the following error:

An internal error occurred during: "Android-my-app launch"

    com/android/sdklib/xml/ManifestData

I guess there is something my manifesto, but my app works fine on the Simulator Android and the market and the actual hardware. Also, I could check my apk online and everything was fine. Is there something that I am missing?

    Thank you!

I solved this problem by installing beta Plugin for Eclipse version BB.

Here: https://developer.blackberry.com/android/documentation/install_plugin_prerequisites_1895476_11.html I read that they suggest to use the beta rev 20 ADT plugin. I installed and now everything works for me.

    Here's the URL for Eclipse:

    Try this solution. Good luck!

  • deploy the application on the Simulator console

    Hello

I want to deploy my application on the BB Simulator without going through Eclipse. In more detail:

-from the emulator in debug mode (with the correct settings)

-deploy the application in the emulator

-redirect all output to the console for debugging.

Could someone illustrate how to perform this procedure in my console windows?

    Thank you

You can deploy an application for the BlackBerry Smartphone Simulator by copying the file of cod to the directory of the Simulator.  The Simulator does not support redirection of its debug output to an arbitrary location, however you can use the tool, JDWP included with JDE BlackBerry and BlackBerry JDE component Package to view this output outside Eclipse or the JDE.

Download the BlackBerry JDE or BlackBerry JDE component Package

  • How to bring back the settings page in list of applications in the Simulator BB10

    Hi all

I'm working on BB10 and I went on the mode of development, but when I wanted to return to the list of the application of the settings screen there appear to be no optiion to navigate back, any help.

    Thank you all

I'll assume that you want to hide the settings and return to the list of request regulat.

You go with your mouse to the bottom edge of the Simulator upward (as you would with a device BB10). Or you can drag upward and to the right, then you will stay in the HUB, you can then drag to the left to see the running application (in your case, you should see the settings).

If the Simulator is locked (some time has passed since you have been active on this issue), you will need to drag updwards until it unlocks the device and you is no longer the clock, then you can remove the mouse and the device will be unlocked.

If this isn't what you're talking about, then can you please provide more information.

  • running an application on the Simulator

got this message when you try to run my application.

"" launch firstappproject the device debugging"has encountered a problem.

There is no such thing as the specified program in the launch configuration file.

How can I fix this so I can run my application?

I would like to begin by ensuring that you have built the version of the application you are trying to run.

    1. In the Project Explorer, right-click on your project and select Build Configurations > Set Active > Simulator Debug.
    2. Now build your project by right-clicking on your project and selecting build the project.
    3. Make sure you use the correct type of version on the Simulator going on run > Run Configurations... on the Momentics menu bar. On the main tab, make sure that Build configuration: is set to Simulator-Debug.
    4. Type a name for the run Configuration if you have not already.
    5. Click run.

  • Of the alternatives to the Simulator: test applications on the phone

I'm an amateur who has developed applications of office before. I want to develop applications for my phone BB10. My Dell Dimension E521 (old), however, does not support virtualization and the BB Simulator is ultra slow. I can't use it to test my code. So, my questions are: (1) is there another way I can try my code, in addition to performing on my phone? and (2) if the answer is no, I risk screwing up my phone by using it to test my code, if it turns out that buggy or full of errors (I'm a newbie, after all :-)

There is no options beyond what you have listed here.  The risks of tests on your actual device are quite low.  The applications are sandboxed, they cannot really affect other applications.  But you might cause problems if your code does something bad, delete pictures from the camera Director or delete all your contacts.

  • Test application in the device error

    Hello

I get an error when installing the JAD file in 8100 camera I am getting error 907 COd file invalid, impossible to import the zip file. I do not know wat is reason. Can someone help me?

And I don't have zip files

I signed my application with RIM

I mean, your cod file has sibbling of cod inside. You must check out them.  Simply rename your file of cod in the .zip extension and open it with winzip to extract the sibbling cod. You must also update the jad. Use the UpdateJad tool.  There are many threds explaining the same problem. Check this thread.
