Test application in the device error

Hello

I get an error when installing the JAD file in 8100 camera I am getting error 907 COd file invalid, impossible to import the zip file. I do not know wat is reason. Can someone help me?

And I don't have zip files

I signed my application with RIM

I mean, your cod file has sibbling of cod inside. You must check out them.  Simply rename your file of cod in the .zip extension and open it with winzip to extract the sibbling cod. You must also update the jad. Use the UpdateJad tool.  There are many threds explaining the same problem. Check this thread.

  • Could not test the application on the device in draft mode

    Hi all!

I have an application already published for BB10 devices, and I want to add support for the Playbook and test it before release.
In the portal provider I have download the new .bar file and select all devices (Playbook too). The application modifies the State in project mode.
Then to the Playbook I pass the link to http://appworld.blackberry.com/webstore/content/xxxxx, where xxxxx is the application ID and see my candidacy in AppWorld, but I couldn't download and test, rather download button I have a message: this application does not support this device profile.

    What I did wrong?

    Thank you!

I solved this problem, thanks to Garrett.

Before you bind the application in the browser, it needs to open AppWorld and type 'tst' and press 'return '.

After that, if a link to the application in the browser, it will be aviliable in test mode.

  • Test the application on the device without a SIM card

    Hello

I wonder if there's a way to test an application on a BlackBerry device, which is not enabled by the carrier / does not contain a valid SIM card?

According to this post (http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/Java-Development/Testing-app-on-8130-device-with-no-cell-serv...), the answer is no, but it is from 2008.

    Thank you!

You can if your device is equipped with wireless Internet access.

  • Test the application installed on the Playbook, but no application on the device

I installed my test on my blackberry playbook application - deploy - installApp-device - password - package .

He said: result::success but I can't find the app installed on the device...

The bar file is signed and all.

I have a Playbook with 1.0.3.1868 in development mode

    a Mac with 10.6.7

    I used the terminal

I have the SDK 1.0.2 installed

I built the app with blackberry-airpackager

    I created a token with blackberry-debugtokenrequest

    All ideas

OK, so I solved the problem myself:

There seems to be a naming conflict. If I rename my application, everything works fine...

    Thanks for your time.

  • Of the alternatives to the Simulator: test applications on the phone

I'm an amateur who has developed applications of office before. I want to develop applications for my phone BB10. My Dell Dimension E521 (old), however, does not support virtualization and the BB Simulator is ultra slow. I can't use it to test my code. So, my questions are: (1) is there another way I can try my code, in addition to performing on my phone? and (2) if the answer is no, I risk screwing up my phone by using it to test my code, if it turns out that buggy or full of errors (I'm a newbie, after all :-)

There is no options beyond what you have listed here.  The risks of tests on your actual device are quite low.  The applications are sandboxed, they cannot really affect other applications.  But you might cause problems if your code does something bad, delete pictures from the camera Director or delete all your contacts.

  • Is the signature required when you deploy the client application in the device?

    Hello

I am trying to build my own version of the sample application client push. I have two questions:

-First of all, is there a way to test shoot BIS Simulator, workaround, maybe?

-Second, is it necessary to sign API classes used in the sample client application before loading it into the unit? The sample application works fine on the camera, but a version that has a very slight modification does not work, does not even start. Could it be linked with code signing?

    Thanks in advance,

    Burak

You can't actually test pushes BIS with the Simulator. You can test your application without feature push using the Simulator.

Yes, you will need to sign the application unless your device is "unlocked."

  • Permission to hook our thread of the application when the device is locked

    Hi, expert,

During recent tests, we discovered that if the user doesn't give allow us certain permissions, but instead of fast approval such as permission to phone. When we access api related phone, OS would show a prompt for authorization, which is planned and well if the device is unlocked. However if the device is locked, our code would be hanging there to wait for the user to grant or deny, however, it would occur only when the device is unlocked. If the entire thread is blocked here.

It's not good for our substantive application. Just wonder how other people solve this problem. In theory, we could avoid these calls if authorization is prompt device is locked, however it is too difficult to identify all the places because that would be a problem for all the permissions (not just permission to phone) and it would be a nightmare to code maintenance.  Another approach is to refuse authorisation every time that approval is fast. Not sure if we could lower the authorization or not. Any other suggestions on this?

I did some looking on the internet and did not "find any post related.

    Thanks in advance.

If the user decides to do it is the problem of the user, not yours.

  • Debugging application on the device

    Hi people,

I have 3 Questions for you:

I have a weird on my application error, when I run it on the device of BB, but it's not when I do it on the emulator, I try debugging on the device (right click on the tree to approx. eclipse-> Debug as-> Blackberry device) then I get an error message indicating that the application must be signed.

    (1) I need I sign the application before debugging on the device?

    (2) I will pay the fees for signature keys. These keys are useful for all classes, signed? I mean, when I get the keys can I use any class signed?

    (3) which means that the PIN on the signed registration key?

    Thank you.

    Bruno.

Yes, your application must be signed for debugging on the device.

When you get the keys, you can use them to sign all your apps BB, as many times as you want.  Yes, they are good for all classes.

The PIN in the registration form is a number YOU provide - make sure you save the number one safe place, that you will need when you get the key in order to activate them.

  • Errorlog for application on the device

is it possible to view a log of errors of the application once on the device?  My application does not work when the phone, but does on Simulator.

Debugging on the device, by connecting the device to your IDE.  Sorry don't know how to do this on Eclipse, I always get this using the JDE, there is video that describes this process.

You can view the error log by using the combination of keys ALT-L-G-L-G standard from the home screen.

Sign here of the usual problems and level of operating system, make sure that the level of the OS on your device is > = your package JDE/component.

  • Backup has encountered the device error IO problem (0x800745D)

I read a lot of posts about this problem that I have now been met for the past few months, but mainly through my own limited computer knowledge I was unaware that my computer (under W7 home) works ok otherwise. I saved very little data, some pictures, some docs, a storage of e-mail in folders, but not much. Actually my backup size is less than 10 GB. I encountered the problem that I save on a portable hard drive or just stick flash.

The problem occurs each time the same backup file, and I quote the following message "Backup has encountered a problem during backup of the C:\Users\ComputerName\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\WebCache\WebCachev01.dat file.

Error: the request could not be performed because of an I/O device error (0x8007045D)

Every backup I do on a weekly basis has this message tell now that reverse was completed but with this file.

I worry about anything? With the next update to W10 and if I go with her, I would like to backup at 100%. Can anyone provide a possible solution to put my mind at rest?

    Thank you very much.

You are welcome. Thanks for the comments. Good luck & keep us updated. Yes, good idea to make backups.

  • Testing applications on the new OS update problem

Can't access settings. When I drag down on the device and click settings, nothing happens.

How can I turn on developer mode ON?

It worked for me in another message, if you have the same problem:

The steps if you have your Dev Alpha brick (just web browser):

    Launch WipeReload.bat

    1. Make sure your mouse is on the disabled button to update your computer
    2. With your Alpha plugged Dev, restart the device (power button for 10 seconds after the countdown shows)
    3. When the alpha dev led red lights, you have a fraction of a second to click on this button in the application instance WipeReload.bat. If you miss it, you will have to wait until the dev alpha starts, and then try again.
    4. Update the device
  • Unknown device in the device error 43 Manager

I get a 43 unknown device error when I start Windows 7.  I tried every fix I found after ten days of research.  When Windows starts, and the notification is popping up that I can't use my keyboard are so difficult to do anything.  Finally, the message disappears (I don't know why) and I am able to type, or if I catch it just just between notifications.  At this time I started my computer in clean boot mode and no error message appears and the unknown device is not USB device controllers manager.

What, in my view, that has happened, is that I used to have an LG phone and the software on the computer.  I now have a new phone, Samsung, that I just connected to the same port on the front of the computer.  The Samsung worked, but did not ask me to install the software, then must have run out of the LG.  I deleted the software from LG and then reconnected the Samsung and got the prompt to download the correct software.  I then plugged a generic USB hub device in order to use the phone and any other device that I could plug in (none at this time and I even unplugged the generic hub).

Now I get the unknown device.  Some fix told me he didn't need a driver, but Windows keeps load a generic driver and so the message repeats the process over and over again.

Unknown error seems to be a common problem, probably a fix is available from Microsoft.

Any help would be appreciated more because it drives me crazy!

Thanks for your reply, Al-Shabaab.  In fact, I solved the problem.

I deleted all the Verizon and Samsung software on my computer.  When doing this, I noticed that my keyboard has gradually deteriorated (failed to start in safe mode F8 key would not work).

I bought a new keyboard... and EUREKA!  Problem disappeared!  Then I rebooted my phone software and have had no problems since.  I guess it was a coincidence that the keyboard was dying as I tried to connect my phone to my computer leading me on a GOOSE Chase that was long, difficult and extremely frustrating!

I appreciate the help and I hope this will help others.
