  According to the SER60, implicit sharing will be occuur when a parent has only one child that consolidates the parent. If the parent has four children, but three are marked as no consolidation, the parent and child which consolidates contain the same data.
  
  But when I keep the property of consolidation for all children as +, why is it then also I get the parent value (label only and ~) as the value of the first child (implicit sharing)?

  The documentation is misleading. There is no data stored for the Member of the only label, but he's going to get the value of the first child when you reference in a recycling.

• Question on the form of data - implicit sharing

  We have a data form that the user can down to the level 0 in the rows to enter data. The question is for some customers when the user tries to enter data at the client level 0 is not save the number of entry but get substituted automatically with the parent value. If the user has entered in the parent customer was filling too the same value for the client to level 0.
  
  When I checked in the outline... I noticed that they are customers who had only one child, and I guess that this happens because of the property on the part of the implicit. I don't know if there could be another reason to do this. If I am wrong please correct me.
  
  Now, I know that if you change the property of the customer parent to share never, it might solve the problem. But the problem here is - there is a lot of these customers. And each month we receive new clients that could belong to the same case. It would be difficult to go and change the property to share ever for all customers and keep track of it manually. It might be a maintenance problem.
  
  So is there any other solutions? We can sort it solve? Please let me know your suggestions or ideas on what you think would be the best way to resolve this problem.

  Hi Gwen,

  You can disable the implicit sharing in the Essbase.cfg
  When you set the parent members and children store, you create blocks more in the database, so use with discretion.

• Essbase different aliases of shared member showing that the primary member

  I have another hierarchy with shared members.  When I retrieve a particular Member in Essbase, the alias is correct.  But, when I explore the alternate hierarchy, takes the alias for the same Member of the Member below.

  Thus, in the main member of XX - alias "XX_Member".

  Member XXA - aslias "XXA_member".

  When I pull a recovery, Essbase, in substitution proposal, is showing as
  Other Parent
  Member of XX (Shared) with alias XXA Member
  EAS has the correct alias.  So, when the add-in essbase foregoing, EAS shows member (shared) with alias XX XX.  It's ONLY the Essbase recovery that shows that this badly.
  There is only one table alias in the database.  The problem does not occur with all shared members.  No idea what could be casuing it?

  ASO has a really strange behavior, without papers, regarding metadata, properties are returned by members in situations of implicit sharing (which is what you have, if the child is not marked never 'share').  The "Never share" tag is the child?

  Parent is correct. You can break the implicit shared behavior by default affecting the Nevershare parent.
  This occurs if the parent and the child are stored.
  sharing is not going in for a dynamic parent photo calc, it will calculate based on the consolidation of the sketch.
  Result could be same and same stored number members.
  But there is a difference in data.
  If you load data to the parent company, load is ignored if dyncalc. (This isn't shared implicit)
  Will be filed in the child if the mother is stored. Refers to the parent and the child will use the same cell to store and read. (This is implicit shared)

  Let's break this relation ship parent with nevershare for ease of loading high for drivers and targets in the tag planning applications.
  For a real application, it makes no difference. In fact, it will save the size and the calctime.

  I loaded metadata in 11.1.1.3. The default storage property is never part. is there a particular reason for this?

  It can be confusing the term "never share", it has nothing to do with the sharing of members, it's more about the implicit sharing.
  It is basically the same as a stored member and should be used as often as possible, that it will be no implicit sharing for example where a parent has a child, if the child shares with its parent member.

• Operators of regrouping and consolidation of ASO

  I have an account not dimension with a parent (G2), I want to only be a placeholder, IE no data. If I put the consolidation on the members below to ignore operator and the parent as the only label he uses by default the first child to parent in the aggregation.   If you set it to ignore and the parent label only, it will cause an implicit sharing for the first child. The easiest way for you to do what you want would be to make the parent member dynamic calc and him giving the formula = #missing;

  Company wants to add a child (child2) in parent1. If I add, will this affect my existing data (child1)? because I remember implicit sharing.

  You won't lose any data.  If the existing Member is an implicit sharing (that depends on whether you have disabled global implied sharing with the IMPLIED_SHARE configuration file setting, or it marked as "Never share") it stops just a.

  The only 'weird' thing, you see it is if all the data has been loaded to the level Parent1 (which I hope you do anyway) he ends up actually by stored in Child1.

  I'm trying to load data at all levels entity and other dimensions. I am able to load successfully.
  
  But the loading on an entitiy, that are not present in the data file. This entity's parent entity. I'm not under aggregations also.
  
  
  EX: loading data as below a, b and e are parent-level and other members are members of Level0. another dimension A1 is the parent member.
  No data are loading b and c, but data showing the b 20

  all my limbs are stored only.

  Data already present in the cube?
  Certainly no label only members, the parents of one child or parents with a single + child of consolidation (unexpected winding / implicit sharing)?
  Dynamic calc / formula MDX in one dimension returns a calculated value (vs responsible) at the parent level?
  FIND/REPLACE in your rule in charge send data somewhere you don't expect?

• MEANS the issue of SHARES

  I have some problems with the implicit sharing. Its a parent with a child with consolidation + operator and parent being dynamic Calc.
  We are unable to edit, modify the data of the child because of the implicit sharing.
  
  I read that tacit sharing can be eliminated by applying a .cfg as IMPLIED_SHARE < App_Name > FALSE parameter.
  But this work force for me, I restart the essbase server but no use.
  
  I have also heard that the contour parameters more ride settings .cfg, but don't know where to find the parameters of contour regarding implicit sharing.
  
  Please advice, we are on Planning/Essbase 11.1.1.3 version.

  Let me guess, you have member (only child) and the calculated parent dynamically on the form?

  I had this problem and is not implicit sharing, even if she really, really, really seems to be that way at first. Come on, set it to never participate in planning (not EAS) – it will not fix it.

  This thread describes how I corrected this to a customer, and it was a colossal pain in the you-know-what.

  The real answer is to not be calculated dynamically parents with one child - what's the point? As I wrote, if I could have the client just to do the right thing there would be no issue. It wasn't one of my best customers, to say the least, so I had to workaround.

• Cannot save data forms

  I have a problem with save forms data to the Dev server, when I enter data and save it, it displays as saved but when I try to retrieve the data in Excel I don't see any data in there. I checked the mebers of the implicit sharing and scenario, everything seems to be ok. I was able to back up data and recover for the same members from another server.
  I don't understand why I'm not able to save the data for the same members on Dev?
