  Anyone know how to update the driver ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5165?
  In the Web of Toshiba site we don't have only one pilot and it's from 03/05/10, and in the Web of ATI site they have support for Toshiba laptops!
  It's really annoying... Why Thoshiba laptop cannot be supported by the ATI site!

  More information on the model and the number etc. would be useful. On the top of my head, I would say bad video memory. Maybe if you have a bad stick of ram shared memory. You could swap with a well known RAM and test it. If this does not work, you will need to replace the video card. Assuming it is not integrated into the motherboard. I'll assume for now that it is, as most Toshiba is designed this way. So the chances are replacing the motherboard will solve the problem.

  Another thing to try, because I did not understand your post completely. When you move the LCD screen this than that as well, or only when you change the resolution? First update all drivers and bios. Then try again and see if that solves the problem. Sometimes drivers damaged due to virus etc. and not working properly.

  I just the A210-14. All in all a laptop very well I can say so far :)

  Got three questions/problems with it if:

  1. even if it should support the memory DDR2 - 667 Mhz, memory works only to a maximum of 600 Mhz, even when parameters are activated with High Performance and running with... quite strange food, necessary fix BIOS?

  2. the screen turns white everytime some time and a message appears that the ATI driver should reset itself. New ATI drivers necessary? As far I can tell the most recent is those who come with the book...

  Hi, I had the flicker for about a week now. I went through the troubleshooting section and nothing seems to help.   I had a problem with the black screen after logo window at startup. To solve it, I installed fresh windows 7 on my laptop Pavilion dm4 1140EZ. My laptop has Intel HD and ATI mobility Radeon 5000 graphics cards. On the HP site I downloaded the driver for Intel, but it lacked ATI driver for my product.  I went to the AMD site and downloaded catalyst control + driver for my ATI card but Intel graphics stops working correctly and graphic ATI did not work as well as on the Device Manager it has shown the device is functioning properly.

  After uninstall of Catalyst Manager Intel graphic it was OK. How should I me switchable graphics? My laptop is warming further than it used to be I think may be due to works on Intel graphics only the video quality is very bad. Kindly help me to install progressively switchable graphics.

  You can use the recovery media to reinstall the graphics driver AMD. Never install the Catalyst Control Center and the AMD driver. The graphics driver for a laptop with switchable graphics is specially coded to provide this functionality. Do not install the Intel driver separately because it would cause the feature switchable graphics to stop working. AMD owns ATI.

  

  Find the graphics card AMD driver software, click in the box to the left and then click on install.
