Aspire one "cannot reconnect network card.
OK, so I have an Acer Aspire One AOD260 net book I've had for a few years.
Internet connection no longer works, WiFi is not my thing, so I ran the troubleshooting and it comes up saying there are problems with the network adapter. I get the message "unable to reconnect to the network card.
I get this message no matter where I am, so I think that the problem is with the Netbook not a router or a Modem.
MS Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
Intel Atom CPU M550 @ 1.50 GHz 2.0 GB RAM
Graphics controller Intel GMA 3150
Device Manager says:
Atheros AR8152 PCI - E Ethernet controller
Broadcom 802.11n network adapter
Microsoft Virtual WiFi Miniport adapt
Under network connections, it will list 2 with a red X, Broadcom 802.11n does not, but it says unidentified network, no internet connection.
What did I try?
I have tried to plug the Ethernet cable from the computer - no change, still get the message of the adapter
I tried to plug in an adapter N900 Wireless dual band USB - no change
I disabled the firewall and AV - no change software
I've uninstalled and reinstalled all the drivers - no change
Yes my router works on everything except this Acer
As I said that WiFi is not my thing, so I really need help how to solve this problem. Please Suzie

Cannot find network cards with Vista
Hello
I have problems with my Dell Inspiron 1720 under Vista not recognizing one of my network cards. I checked that my modem and router work correctly (they are) but still my laptop will not pick up not my Belkin N1 router wireless signal or when I hard it wire as it says network adapters are not found. I had a series of reports of unusual message telling me that the 'State of dependency is unknown", and that I should try to restart the DCHP etc. I followed the instructions to the point where it says "Windows cannot fix this problem - contact your service administrator.
Any thoughts?
Did you check the status of your network adapters in the Device Manager? If they are disabled, try allowing them.
I hope I could help

'Cannot install network card - check WINBOM'
Hello
Two weeks ago, my network card and my sound card are away. I brought the laptop to a premium of IBM partner, where the motherboard has been changed with a view that all would be ok, but with a hint of the service technician that I should try to recover; the problem is still not resolved. Yesterday I recovered from a very old, when version the adapter card and his network worked correctly. Since then my sound card works, but only with cracks. Of course, this is not acceptable. The network adapter does not work in any case.
When I boot my laptop with the ACCESS IBM button, I get an error message from the FACTORY. EXE "cannot install the network adapter - check WINBOM.
I checked, but there is no factory.exe on my hard drive, as well as there is no file winbom.ini on my hard drive. I found the entry empty winbom in the registry.
In the System Manager there is no listed (instead of those wireless) network card. No way to install a.
I don't know what to do now. Can someone think there is a solution for my thinkpad or should I sent to IBM/Lenovo?
The machine is a T43p 2668 PEG.
See you soon,.

Hello Roberto,
During this time, the problem is resolved. In fact, it was the wireless network card that caused the problem. After 2 weeks and 3 months, the laptop is finally repaired. But I had no chance to check yet, since I'm still in Ireland will be back in Germany at Christmas.
See you soon,.

Windows cannot find network card until I reboot
Hello
I noticed a few threads that are similar to my problem, but I have a recurring problem that is boring and not too disruptive. Everytime I turn on my computer Dell Inspiron desktop for the first time, every day, windows is unable to locate a network card is installed correctly. When I check in the network device manager, there is nothing available. I then restart my machine, and then windows (64-bit 7) finds the suitable network and connect to my router etc, and all is well. When I check the Device Manager after the reboot, I see under network: Broadcom Netlink (TM) Gigabit Internet. When I click on this and try to update the driver, reports of windows that it is up-to-date!So, my problem happens whenever I start my computer, but never when I restart!Any suggestions? As I don't want to start and restart my machine every day of her life!Thank you very muchMickI suspect a hardware problem with the adapter.
You can try to uninstall the card in the Device Manager and then reboot and let Windows reinstall.

Cannot add the secondary network card
Hello! I bought specially for ESXi (Intel PRO/1000 MT Desktop Adapter, model number 8390MT) a new PCI Intel network card. It is listed as a supported network component. I have pluged it started, the host, went the networking, but I still see only one, the old network card. It would appear there automatically or must something needs to be done in the linux command line? I'm not good with linux, maybe I should just re - install the ESXi?
Make sure that you add the NIC in the vSwitch. If you just go to the page of networking in the VShpere customer, you won't see the second NIC automatically connected to the vSwitch. Did you do that?

G62-233NR wireless network card problems
Okay, so I tried to do a little research, but I'm not sure I found my problem or a solution. I have laptop HP G62-233NR and it worked fine up until tonight. He won't have a wired or wireless connection to the internet. The troubleshooting tool Windows says there is a problem with my adapter wireless and wired. I have the Realtek RTL819SE 802.11b/g/n WiFi Adapter and under my connection to the local network, it says the Realtek PCIe FE Family Controller. Now, I tried to download the latest drivers on my desktop and install via USB key, but even after that I have do always run into the same problem. So I have two questions, is any way to fix this and if it requires one or more network cards new that it would be better that I can get which is compatible with my laptop? Thanks in advance!
Hello
I doubt the two cards that jump on you at the same time, but who knows...
You can install one of the cards in your maintenance manual with the part number of HP wireless. The wired adapter is part of the motherboard and cannot be replaced individually.
While I don't have a definitive answer for you, I suspect some sort of software problem.
It may be worth it to you to back up your files and perform a system recovery and see if that solves the problem before the purchase of new equipment.

vCenter - multiple network cards
Hello
I have a vCenter Server 4 U4 with multiple NICs for managing esxi connectivity etc. All ESXi hosts are connected via a dedicated card. For security reasons I must add one host to vCenter managed on one vlan separated / network card. Is this a supported configuration or a configuration that someone uses?
When I add the host to vCenter it disconnects after about 60 to 90 seconds. All firewall ports are open and nothing is denied, DNS works very well, as well as the ICMP between vCenter server and the host. Any ideas?
Thank you
Good deal. If the Windows Firewall looks like right check this KB: http://kb.vmware.com/kb/1008030

ESX, number of network cards, NETIOC or traditional approach
Hi all
I have a question of design on the network of an ESX environment configuration.
In short, we must decide how many cards per server, we need.
It's an ESX cluster for a Cloud Computing environment (hosting).
I told my boss about 8 cards per server would be appropriate (4-port ethernet cards).
He said, however, that I am crazy in the coconut with so many NICs per host,
because of the complex network management / wiring.
and said that the 2 network cards should be sufficient, or maximum 4.
We don't know yet if we'll use NETIOC or the traditional approach
with multiple VSWITCHEs to separate the network flow.
That's what I had in mind when using no NETIOC:
THE VM NETWORK:
VSWITCH1 - ETH0 (active) = physical NIC 0_port0
Eth1 (at rest) = physical NIC 1_port0
VMOTION NETWORK:
VSWITCH2 - ETH2 (active) = physical NIC 0_port1
Eth3 (at rest) = physical NIC 1_port1
IP STORAGE NETWORK:
VSWITCH3 - ETH4 (active) = physical NIC 2_port0
(Passive) ETH5 = physical NIC 3_port0
NETWORK FAULT TOLERANCE:
VSWITCH4 - ETH6 (active) = physical NIC 2_port1
(Passive) ETH7 = physical NIC 3_port1
Is it really that crazy to have 8 adapters per ESX host?
If so, the 6 is acceptable?
I think 6 would work if we combine vmotion and storage over IP on the same VSWITCH,
or tolerance vmotion and the fault on the same VSWITCH.
He thinks that 4 is an absolute minimum.
Somehow, I don't think it's a good idea to combine the vmotion/ipstorage/and fault tolerance
on the same network adapter. I think that if we get only 4 adapters for each host.
We forget storage over IP and keep all related storage
connected with Fibre Channel.
But maybe I am too greedy-NIC here?
Currently, we do not fault tolerance
but I think that there is a demand for it in the future.
It is, therefore, may be an exaggeration to allocate separate physical maps to do this.
It might be better to combine it with the flow VMOTION?
That's what I had in mind when using NETIOC:
1 virtual switch, whose actions for the load balancing,
and with the load database grouping enabled.
SHARING OF NETWORK FLOWS:
VMOTION 20 | VSWITCH1 | eth0_ACTIVE
MGMT 10 | | eth1_ACTIVE
NFS 20 | | eth2_ACTIVE
FT 10 | | eth3_ACTIVE
VM 40 | | eth4_ACTIVE
| | eth5_ACTIVE
| | eth6_STANDBY
| | eth7_STANDBY
It may take a higher share for NFS valuie.
We don't know yet what kind of goal, NFS data warehouses will be used.
There will also be Fibre Channel connected to data warehouses.
In the NETIOC scenario, if 8 physical NIC are really too much, I guess we could
do with 6
But 6 also seems to be a minimum in this situation for me,
or can come out us with 4?
Also, about NETIOC, given that this kind of thing is still pretty new (since 4.1),
anyone here have experience with the new NETIOC feature on
a distributed switch?
I would get at least 6 cards per server,
better one or two network cards too much that you do not use at the beginning.
but have the option to use, at least be blocked eventually.
not being able to implement a feature (for example. Fault tolerance)
because you have no free NIC more.
Or otherwise, they should just go with 2x10GB NIC,.
and distribute the stream with NETIOC.
It would greatly simplify cabling and management.,.
and give more bandwidth
Well...
Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Concerning best practices, you will need 8-
vMotion and your management network (you had left it) can share a pare - woth the pair configured active / standby management and standby/active for vMotion - FT, VM Network and Sotrage IP network should all be insulated and redundnat - depending on your load I/O that you can condense up to four network adapters with FT/VMs and storage over IP sharing the same NIC but on different VLAN -

This error can occur if two devices that are installed on your computer received the same i/o ports, the same interrupt, or the same Direct memory access channel (whether through BIOS, the operating system, or both). This error message can also appear if the BIOS did not allocate enough resources for the device.
Recommended resolution
You can use the Troubleshooting Wizard in Device Manager to determine where the conflict is, and then disable the device in conflict.
Turn off the device in conflict
- In the device properties dialog box, click the general tab.

one of the VM cannot access network LAN
Hello
I configured 3 VM on an ESXi 4.1 (see attached jpg file). one of the virtual machine (GSPPBPCDBVM), it cannot access the network LAN, even cannot ping Bridge but can ping GSPPBPCVM after I walk today, previously, it was ok. The other 2 VM can access LAN network. What could be the problem?
GSPPBPCVM (128.1.8.x)
GSPPBPCDBVM (128.1.8.x)
AEPAD (10.8.1.x)
vmnic1 (to connect to the local network virtual 128.1.8.x)
vmnic0 (to connect to the local network virtual 10.8.1.x)
Thank you and best regards,
Kelvin
With the configuration you have posted, you have a 50/50 chance that none of your VM will have access to the network, since you have 2 NICs connected to two different VLANS and virtual machines are assigned to these network cards based on the virtual switch port (assuming you use the default settings).
To properly set up the network, you have two options:
1.) VLAN tagging on the physical switch ports (what you have)
In this case, you will need to create a second vSwitch and attach the second NETWORK card to this switch. Then connect virtual machines to the vSwitch and port group that is connected to the switch port VLAN corresponding physics.
2.) VLAN tagging on the virtual port group (this is what I recommend)
Configure the ports on your physical switch as the trunk (or ports 'labelled' If you use Procurve switches), create another port VM on vSwitch0 group and set up VLAN tags on the gropus (VMKernel, VM Network1, VM Network2) port
Take a look at http://www.vmware.com/files/pdf/virtual_networking_concepts.pdf for more information.

Satellite Pro L100: Wireless network card cannot find the Wlan router
Hello
I just bought a Toshiba Satellite pro L100, which has a built in wireless card, an Atheros AR5005g. I activated the card wireless via the switch on the laptop, and then I let the search for available networks. She is 4-5 or secured creditor and unsecured networks in my area, but it does not find my router which is about 3 meters from the hotel!
I tried to manually configure my network to see if the laptop can locate it, but without success. I've used a network card in my last laptop, a Belkin 802.11 g that I then inserted in the excellent connection laptop and bingo to 54mps. But I want to use the integrated wireless card that captures an unsecured somewhere network in my area but the signal is weak and is very slow.
Can someone help me please? The router that I'm trying to access is a Netger WGR 614. NETGEAR were not useful.
Rgds,Richard.
Hello
First of all I want to say that for these questions there is not a magic solution.
I think that you need to check many options that could have a negative influence on the WLan connectivity.
First of all, you should check if the Wlan router supports WLan standard even as the Wlan card. For example 802.11 B or G or bothDisable all ciphers on the router as well as the MAC address filtering.
Then check the WiFi channels! Try to use the same channel on the map of local area network on the router.Which driver do you use? Try to download the latest WLan driver Atheros site.
I think the Atheros provides the own local network configuration utility. Try to use it.As you can see, there are many options that must be verified
Additional information:
Also, one of my notebooks is not able to connect to the router because I use a WLan router that supports a 802.11 BG WLan standard and in my book the AB 802.11 card has been installed.
So I can't connect to the router ;(
