Windows cannot find network card until I reboot

Hello

I noticed a few threads that are similar to my problem, but I have a recurring problem that is boring and not too disruptive. Everytime I turn on my computer Dell Inspiron desktop for the first time, every day, windows is unable to locate a network card is installed correctly.  When I check in the network device manager, there is nothing available. I then restart my machine, and then windows (64-bit 7) finds the suitable network and connect to my router etc, and all is well. When I check the Device Manager after the reboot, I see under network: Broadcom Netlink (TM) Gigabit Internet.  When I click on this and try to update the driver, reports of windows that it is up-to-date!
So, my problem happens whenever I start my computer, but never when I restart!
Any suggestions? As I don't want to start and restart my machine every day of her life!
Thank you very much
Mick

I suspect a hardware problem with the adapter.

You can try to uninstall the card in the Device Manager and then reboot and let Windows reinstall.

    Hello

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Communities. From your problem description, I understand that you can not connect to Internet in safe mode with network. Please correct me that I misunderstood.

Please provide us with additional information by answering a few questions below, this will help us better solutions to the problems.

-Why are you trying to connect to Internet in safe mode with networking?

-Do you get any error code or error message?

I doubt that the choices you make in the options of safe mode takes you to the safe mode and the insecure with networking mode.

Please do the following and check if you are able to boot into safe mode with network.

    a. restart the computer and press the F8 key during reboot, until you get the Advanced startup options.

    b. in the boot advanced options, use the keyboard to select safe mode with network and press ENTER.

    c. This will start the computer in safe mode with network. Once the computer has been started, check if you are able to connect to the Internet.

  • Windows cannot find any networks, but Ubuntu can! (X 32 Vista Home Premium)

I recently replaced a faulty laptop computer mother board with an identical model (only difference is a newer version of the BIOS). After restarting Windows (Vista Home Premium 32 bit) I can't find the networks wireless where I can see usually eight networks at least an unsecured connection, but now I get nothing.

I replaced the wireless card Atheros with an Intel Pro 3945ABG driver and installed the latest version and that I still get the same error "Windows cannot find any networks", I can get access to the internet via an Ethernet cable but I am unable to connect wirelessly. If I try to manually configure the wireless connection, I get "unexpected error occurred".

I started the system from a CD of Ubuntu to check that it was not a hardware problem. Wireless card perfectly, sees all the networks, connects and works very well.

It seems that something inside Vista has failed since even change the wireless adapter for a different manufacturer and the results of the modeling in the same error, pointers?

    Kind regards

  • Windows cannot find any additional network / an unexpected error has occurred

I got this new PC Windows Vista Home Edition x 64 SP2 and I need to connect it to the network wireless in my house because that the router Netgear DG834GT wireless broadband is not very conveniently placed for wired connectivity. I have a Netgear WG111T USB wireless adapter which works fine on my other PC / laptop (XP & Vista, both 32-bit), but I can't make it work on my Vista x 64 PC.

I have installed the version of the driver 2.1.0.26 x 64-compatible for the WG111T and the device works correctly, according to Device Manager.

When I try to 'connect', I get 'Windows cannot find any additional network . " While the other PC at home can pick up 3 wireless networks.

Go until the network & sharing Center, then manage the networks without wire, then Add, then manually create a network profile, I get "unexpected error ."

I spoke to Netgear who insist the player WG111T is compatible with the x 64 visits.

I talked to my PC provider who suggested to try the adapter on another PC Vista x 64 to see if it works there. Problem is, I don't know anyone else with a Vista x 64 PC.

Check the Device Manager for the wireless card valid entry.

If there is no valid entry, remove any entry from fake and re - install the drivers for the wireless card.

  • WINDOWS CANNOT FIND ANY ADDITIONAL NETWORK (DIAL-UP AND VPN) OTHER THAN THE WIRELESS NETWORK

ehmm I just installed nokia 6600 pc suite on my computer so I can access the internet on my computer through the usb cable. Installation and drivers have been installed correctly. I can access the internet on the handset but when trying to connect to the internet via USB with the computer "I get a message that windows cannot find any additional network." Its really disturbing that I can do to fix this. Can someone help me please.

Even if a USB device, it does not create a new network connection for you.  I fear also that you use a regular USB cable - those connections often require a crossover cable (but more on that later and I guess it should work it is how it is advertised).  Go to start / Control Panel / Network and sharing center / set up a connection or network / and choose the first option (you can also check the main page to see if the connection is listed but I doubt it).  Choose to set up a new connection and follow the instructions - ensuring that you enter the correct settings when it is required.  You should perhaps install device drivers, firmware and or software for the device to work properly - read the installation mode (and call technical assistance from Nokia to help you put in place - they know more about what we do and should be happy to guide you through the process and even to set the settings on your computer until you log - that's what I would do in your before circumstane even of) ask for help here).

To start / Control Panel / Device Manager and check all the new drivers (double clck on them) to confirm that they say that they do not work properly.  Go to start / Control Panel / Add Haedware and have the system check new hardware devices - if it finds, install them (it is perhaps what is missing in this process).

I hope this helps.  If nothiing suggested I bring, don't hesitate not to contact Nokia for assistance - I'm sure they'll have you place and operate at any time.  Keep me in the loop.

    Good luck!

    Thanks in advance!  :)

Steve Winograd's right - no executables are normally launched from the Temp folder where you specify unless the malware put them there.

Your system is currently or has been infected and perhaps your detection/removal software clean the folder Temp of the suspicious content but this process does not always boot entry that points to the location/suspicious file, so that each reboot (or login), he wants to run it.

Describe your current antivirus and software anti malware situation: McAfee, Symantec, Norton, Spybot, AVG, Avira!, Defender, ZoneAlarm, PC Tools, MSE, Comodo, etc..

It is easy to get rid of the error message by doing something like disable the startup item in msconfig (if you can still find), but I suggest you fix the problem and difficulty not only the symptom of the problem simply remove the startup message.

I would recommend also you start to search in the register, unless you have a backup because there is no 'Cancel' or 'quit without saving changes' option in regedit.  If you make a mistake, that's all.
These ideas relieve 'rapid' and sometimes risky of the symptom, but may not actually solve the problem.  Also, I'd be suspicious of ideas that begin with the words "try."  You don't need to try things, you need to fix things.
Here are the detailed instructions that protect you and solve your problem in the 'right' way.
Describe your current antivirus and software anti malware situation: McAfee, Norton, Spybot, AVG, Avira
!, Defender, ZoneAlarm, PC Tools, MSE, Comodo, etc..
A "Cannot find...". ', ' Failed to start..., "Could not load..." ». "Might not work... "" Cannot run ""error loading... ". "or"specific module could not be found"message at startup is usually related to the malware that has been configured to run at startup, but the referenced file has been removed after a malware scan, leaving behind him a startup item or the registry entry pointing to a file that does not exist.
It might be a removal of malicious software or an application not installed.  The entry may have a curious looking name since it was probably generated at random when the malware was installed. If you search your system for the referenced file, you may not find.
Windows attempts to load this file but cannot locate because the file has been deleted for most probably during an analysis of the malware. However, an orphaned associate of remainders of startup parameter or registry entry and tells Windows to load the file when you start or connection.
So you should delete the referenced entry Windows stop trying to load or run the file. It may or may not be included in the registry, but you can find it.  Autoruns (see below) you get the elements no matter where it is.
If you just locate and uncheck the item in msconfig, which disables the element but does not remove the reference to the element of false starting your computer.   The msconfig program is not a Startup Manager, that's a troubleshooting tool.  Disabling things in msconfig to put an end to the messages and think that your problem is solved is short-sighted and leave behind him a sloppy XP configuration.  Just disable the display of a start-up error message should not count as a 'solution' to the problem.
If you are comfortable editing the registry, you can find and remove the reference directly from there or remove it using a popular third-party tool called Autoruns.  The problem can always be found in the registry well.
Before making any changes to your registry by hand or with third-party tools, don't forget to first make a backup of the registry. There is no cancellation or exit without saving the option in regedit.
Here is a link to a popular registry backup tool:
You can use Autoruns to find the element of start remains little matter where he's hiding.  Autoruns does not install anything on your computer.  It will display all startup locations where the reference may be then you can turn it off or remove it completely.  Here is the download link for Autoruns:
Run Autoruns.exe and wait that he at the end of the filling of the list of entries.
When the Autoruns is finished scanning your system, it will say "Ready" in the lower left corner.  Autoruns can be a little intimidating to first if you have never seen it before because it displays a lot of information.  You are really interested only a few sections.
The problem is usually to start the system or the user startup entries, then click the connection tab and see if the startup item is there.
Scroll through the list and look for a boot entry associated files in the error message.
If you can't find on the connection tab, look in any tab.
You can also click file, search to search for logon, or any tab for all or part of the name of the element.
Right-click on the offending entry and choose Remove
.  If you are not sure what it is, you can simply disable, restart and if the problem is resolved and then remove the offending entry.  If you don't see it in Autoruns, you may edit the registry and remove the item from your startup folder it.  Autoruns shall display the same information however.
Given that you had or have an infection, followed with this:
Perform scans for malware, and then fix any problems:
Download, install, update and do a full scan with these free malware detection programs:
    Malwarebytes (MMFA): http://malwarebytes.org/
    SUPERAntiSpyware: (SAS): http://www.superantispyware.com/
They can be uninstalled later if you wish.
Restart your computer and solve the outstanding issues.

Do, or do not. There is no test.
