Assign a value to an element

Hello

I use forms6i.
I have a question in my form, say, Invoicebase, the default value must be retrieved from another table and appear in shape during loading.
The query to retrieve the default value is to a condition where clause, as when the company =: Global.company
But I'm assigining this global variable value in a time new form instance.

So where(which trigger) should write the query in order to retrieve the default value?
I can't assign value to trigger once - new - record - instance because, it wil change the State of form, and if without entering any value, I try to stop it wil ask for closing the form?
I can only do that in triggering when-create-record, but at this time there the global variable wil not be initialized and that the request would not have worked.
Please help me manage this

Thank you

Stay with the when-CREATE-RECORD-trigger and put the code to initialize the global PRE-FORMS-relaxing.

  • How to assign a value of the element from page to main page in the column element when Cre

    I have a form build on table T1. The T1 has a primary key defined (T1PK) and four other columns (C1 - C4). I have a form in this table. This form accepts the values of C1 to C4 and displayis an extra point, is not based on columns of T1 - P1_DUMMY. The form for T1PK element has the value "hidden and protected.
    When creating the form, I wanted that the value of the primary key (T1PK) will be obtained through existing trigger. I want to use the value stored in the page called "P1_DUMMY" for P1_T1PK.

    No matter what I do, I always get this error when I hit the button 'CREATE' on the page of the form:

    ORA-01400: cannot insert NULL into ('DEV'. "" T1 ". ("' T1PK")

    The Create button is a condition not to show if the the P1_T1PK page element is NULL. I created page rendering process, the process of transformation of page like this bock of PL/SQL:

    : P1_T1PK: =: P1_DUMMY

    But I still get ORA-01400. The form has the P1_DUMMY as display only, not not to store the State, so I can see that the P1_DUMMY element has the value I want (2).

    How to assign the value stored in P1_DUMMY in P1_T1PK when I click on the button CREATE on this form?

    Thank you for your time.

    Hello
    The belief question is the way in which the calculation is being defined. You are not using the &. rating (dot ampersand) in PL/SQL and SQL.

    Try this.

    1 define the calculation on P1_T1PK of Type calculation of value of the element
    2. on the next page to load textarea, enter P1_DUMMY. No. colon or &
    3. give appropriate conditions

    Yes, I created a 'text area' under 'HTML' in the 'Home' page  Who accepts the exercise of a table through LOV.  I intend to assign this value to a global variable so that this variable can be read in any of the application to filter the result set from different tables (not yet built the rest of the application).  To do this, I was intending to use "Shared components"-> "Elements of Application".  I'm still not quite sure how it works.

    Start by reading the documentation on elements of application.

    Go to the shared components > Application parts and create your G_FINANCIAL_YEAR item. Value Session State Protection Restricted - can not be set the browser so that the value is not editable by the user, falsification of URLS or scripts.

    On the home page, if there is not already a button to submit the value of the fiscal year, add one in the HTML area, with the Action as a submit Pageclick. Otherwise, you can do without the button and using submit Page in Page Action when the changed value select the parameter in the list so he can undergo.

    Then, in the section of the Page processing, create a calculation:

    Point Type: Application-level element

    Calculate Item: Application: G_FINANCIAL_YEAR

    Point calculation: After submit

    Type of calculation: Value of the element

    Calculation:

    Run the application, select a value in the list of the fiscal year and submit the page. Review of current session state in the viewer of session state by clicking on the link of Session in the toolbar developer. Select the Elements of Application in the view list, and then click set. The element of your application and its current value must be visible. You can now reference value throughout your application by using the appropriate syntax.

    You should also consider if a default value (for example the current year) using a calculation Application from the point of calculation on the new Instance and coordinate the application point and part of the homepage using point application as the Source of value or an expression with Source page element, the value always, replacement of value that exists in the session state.

  • Assigning selected value of tree to an element node

    Hi guys,.

    I want to assign the value of the node in the tree selected to a page element. This can be a text box or label (view only). How can I do? I tried to use the 'Element of Page node selected' property that is available on the attributes of the tree. But I couldn't assign the value without refreshing the entire page.
    You have an idea?

    Thank you.

    I'll assume that you have a table in your database with columns (ID, PARENT_ID, VALUE) or something like that.

    OK, first go to your region of the tree and look at the SQL query. You will see that it is link attribute. By default, link attribute is set to redirect you to another or even from one page.
    You need modify this attribute of link with something like this:

    ' javascript:pageItemValue('_||) 'VALUE ' | ')' As link

    So click on the tree node, you ask function javascript and passing as the parameter value.

    Now, you just need to be pageItemValue. Go to Edit Page, header HTML and write this function:

    You can change (P1_ITEM) at what you want.

  • Before the process of pl/sql header to assign values to the elements on the page

    How can I assign values to the elements of a page based on the data structure returned by a pl/sql procedure in the front header process? I think execution of a pl/sql procedure based on a URL parameter value and then assign values to the page elements. Is this really possible using Apex 4.0.2? If so, how can it be done?

    Thank you

    The question is not really clear. What kind of "data structure returned by a procedure from pl/sql? Please be much more accurate.

    For a data structure of PL/SQL such as records containing 2 elements (x and there) returned as output parameter for a procedure to be assigned to 2 items p1_x and p1_ypage, all that is necessary in the header before process is something like

    declare
    ...
      l_rec rec_type;
    ...
    begin
    ...
      the_proc(..., p_out => l_rec, ...);

      :p1_y := l_rec.y;

  • How to replace (assign) a part of the elements of an array in TestStand?

    Hello

    I would like to replace or assign values to the elements of an array.

    For example, I have a local variable with 6 elements, Locals.A = {1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6},

    and I would do it is {1, 2, 13, 14, 5, 6}.

    Accordingly, I add an expression and write "Locals.A [2.3] = {13: 14}", but it failed.

    Is it possible to replace a part of a painting?

    My real question is I want to pass parameters to a sequence to a local variable of the MainSequence, like the picture as an attachment.

    I hope that I can assign the parameter (table 5 elements) for the range of 5th to 9th item of the local Variable.

    Could someone give me any suggestions? Thank you very much!

    (1) I meant move the entire table and in the subsequence programmatically update only a subset of the items.

    For 1 or 2, you'd have to write a loop as interates on and updates the items that you are interested in. There is no simple syntax that will do what you want. You can use a loop but, rather than make a statement of entitlement for each item.

    Concerning

    The E4X (?) XML syntax is powerful, but you can easily get lost with the bad node types. That is why my answer included the .writeln $ nature - 'list' - and used an index for the change; After validation, I found that your assignment would have also worked on the only indexed element. Thanks for sharing your discovery with setChildren() - who apparently works also on the lists.

    Variable "enclose" is an archival collection, so access you an individual field of an element of the given collection by specifying the domain name, not its position:

    DECLARE
      SUBTYPE t_rec IS TEST_TABLE%ROWTYPE;
      TYPE records_table IS TABLE OF t_rec;
      elist RECORDS_TABLE;
      CURSOR table_cursor IS SELECT * FROM TEST_TABLE WHERE rownum <= 20;
    BEGIN
      OPEN table_cursor;
      FETCH table_cursor BULK COLLECT INTO elist;
        FOR j IN 1..elist.COUNT
        LOOP
          elist(j).value1 := elist(j).value1 + 1;
        END LOOP;
      CLOSE table_cursor;
    END;

    Your second example is different because you are dealing with a collection of collections.

  • Type a table defined clusters to hold configuration data - definition of default values for each element of the array

    Hello

    I was wondering if I could get some information and opinions on the use of an array of type defined clusters to store configuration data.  I am creating a program to test several EHR and wanted to have a control of type defined for each HAD with the information needed to create the DAQmx tasks for all signals for it must HAVE.  I am eager to do so that the data are encoded in hard and not in a file that the user might spoil.

    Controls of type def are then put into a Subvi who chooses as appropriate, one based on the enumeration of Type DUT connected to a case structure.

    I have problems with the control of the defined type.  I see issues when you try to save a configuration unique to each element of the array in the array of clusters.  Somehow, it worked at first, but now by clicking on "Operations on the data--> default font of the current value ' on individual elements of the cluster or the entire cluster (array element) does not save data when I re - open the command def.  What I am doing wrong?  I'm trying to do something with the berries of the clusters that I shouldn't do?

    I enclose one of the defined reference type controls.  I tried to change it bare to see if that helped, but no luck.

    To reproduce, change the resource string for the element 0 of the array and do the new value by default.  Then close the def of type, and then reopen it.  The old value is always present in this element.  The VI is saved in LabVIEW 2012.

    The values of a typedef are not proprigated to the instances of the control. They get if created WHEN data values have changed. They will be not updated with the changes to come. You must create a VI specifically to hardcode your values or to implement a file based initialization. The base file would be much better and more flexible. If you don't want users to change the data simply encryption. There is a wedding blowfish library that you can download.
