Assistant of HP and Email alerts

If Hp Assistant updates my Elitebook 8440p, should I install patches that I receive by email?

HP Support Assistant is smarter. It checks that you need and what you currently have. I suggest that you rely on HP Support Assistant until any update installation fails with HP Support Assistant.

  • Big Brother Email alerts

Our team of Engineeing supports multiple servers, including those of another group. We use the Big Brother v.4.5 to monitor these servers, and our team gets all the email and SMS alerts. The guys from IT of the other group, we support want to start alert recieing just to their servers - how I edit config files to continue to send our team all alerts, and only send alerts for specific recipients email servers in the outher IT group? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

See bbwarnrules.cfg on your download host.

In your rules to add servers so they want notifications, while addresses e-mail notification. Also add the alert e-mail address you have for the default notifications. Not to do so will send alerts for them and no one else.

If servers or e-mail addresses are many, you could define hg - and pg-groups.

  • Email alerts does not work but test Yes - MD3200

    Hello!

We have recently acquired a SAS MD3200 and we are very happy about it.

But yesterday we had a drive failure and no alert message,

    Description of what we have:

    -Storage Manager upward and running on a Win 2008;

    -Email and all selected filters (warning, information, etc...);

    -e-mail tested ok.

    -the SMmonitor to the top and the conduct;

    -the server, where the SMmonitor and the Storage Manager are running, is on the same network of the MD3200;

    -I can ping both NICs of storage;

I also disabled the windows firewall (I don't know if that is the question), put the new drive in the hope of receiving an email, but not... :-(

    Help?

    TIA

    Paulo

    Thank you Kenny.

    Everything is well configured.

The problem is some kind of incompatibility between the SMMonitor and the mail server (qmail). When the coordinates with alerts "include" is disabled, all goes well.

It must be a '\n' somewhere.

    See you soon!

  • Email alerts - iDRAC7 - Gmail

    Hi all

I tried to get the alert e-mail to work with iDRAC7, but my test emails fail immediately.

In our environment, we have a couple of NAS devices that have the alert e-mail.  I put to use port 587 and I enable TLS.  I also use a Gmail (smtp.gmail.com) as the e-mail server.  It works very well with my NAS devices.

I would use this same account to gmail for email iDRAC alerts.  I activated Google Alerts and activated authentication.  I guess it will be port 587?

Someone at - he had to work with a Gmail email alerts?

I did some research and played a bit with the domain name and the dns name, but I got no chance (in the common parameters).  I have two DNS servers entered in the network settings.  I also tried just to put the ip address of smtp.gmail.com as the e-mail server instead of the name of trying to make DNS of the equation.

Port 587 is permanently open on our firewall.

    Thank you

In fact, I found a work around that I wanted to share.

I have configured an internal SMTP relay server in 2012 from server to transfer emails to the gmail server.

    http://fmuntean.WordPress.com/2008/10/26/how-to-configure-IIS-SMTP-server-to-forward-emails-using-a-Gmail-account/

In this way, port 25 may be used internally (iDRAC for relay server) and the port 587 TLS can be used to send to Gmail (smtp.gmail.com relay server).

  • WAAS Email alert

Is it possible to set up e-mail alerts for when the central Manager displays an alert.  For example recently one of our devices show that a diet is bad and must be replaced.  I see in the Manager of the central, there is a section for the SMTP server info, but according to the documentation, I think it's only for the notification of the report jobs correct me if I'm wrong. I also know that you can go to each device and configure notifications and provide the SMTP info here as well but I don't know if that will send the right information.  I looked on the device GUI that has the power of bad diet and cannot be found anywhere in the GUI, who says he has a bad power supply. The alert is only appear in the Manager of the central as well as if you SSH to the machine and do a show alerts.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

    Thanks in advance

    Hi Daniel,.

Yes. You are right. The paper I sent you is SNMP configuration only. It does not set up alerts by e-mail on WAE.

You must configure individual WAE for e-mail alerts. It is not yet integrated through the Central Manager. The WAE will send individual email alerts, independent SNMP alerts. I am yet to confirm whether or not you should activate the alert SNMP on WAE to make it work.

Added: I just checked you must enable and configure the SNMP settings to make this work.

    Kind regards.

  • Message from blackBerry & Smartphones Email alert notification - need help!

    Hi all

I turned on my 9300 the other SIMs day and I received a new text message on it that I read & deleted...

I then put in my old SIM and the alert at the top of the screen (1 envelope) which notifies you when you have a new message is still there!

I have deleted all messages, emails, checked all folders, saved files, restarted (hundreds of times!), but the notice is still there.

It obviously isn't a major problem, but I find it incredibly annoying!

Any help to solve the problem would be greatly appreciated!

  • Smartphones blackBerry 9700 "Bold" no Audio for Email alerts

    Hello

Already activated my new Bold 9700 with Bell this morning. Everything works except for the audio alerts by e-mail. I'm very frustrated with it that I have tried several solutions, hopefully a tech here rep can provide a method that I have not already tried.

When I receive an email, the light, the red asterisk in the main message section, but there is no audio alerts. I have the profile set to normal, sonar ping as audio choice and set to always indoors or out of Holster.  All this started after I tried to sync with contacts from my old phone, a Blackberry 8830 with Bell.

Here's a little recap, in chronological order.

-active 9700, voice work of calls, classic phone ring ToneWorks, went to the site of the BIS, set up my two email with Gmail and Yahoo accounts. Received messages and audio alerts by e-mail.

-the problem started when I synced my old 8830 version 4.5.0.127 with Bishop Office and transferred the address book and contacts of Bishop BB the 9700.

-Alerts audio email stopped working on gmail and yahoo, still getting emails well. Strange because when the audio alert worked, the red asterisk indicating a new email will appear in the message section and the section of gmail/yahoo messages. With the audio alert does not, the red asterisk appears only in the message section.

-at this point, the 9700 is running on something v5.0.0.3

-Sync also failed to transfer phone numbers 8830 address book the 9700. The names and e-mail addresses have been transferred but no phone number.

-changed profiles by selecting a different audio alert, activated the wireless market, removed the battery for 5 minutes and restarted. Still did not work.

-wipe the device, set up the email once again, an e-mail alert audo still does not.

-at this point, I went back to the dealer for help. They used their desktop Manager to synchronize with my 8830. Their timing worked better that phone numbers have been able to transfer through. Once again however, no warning audio email.

-dealer spent 90 minutes, yes 90 minutes working on my device. He did the same methods I've tried... twice. They wiped my camera... twice. Updated the service books, changed the normal profile to one other than sonar sound alert, still does not.

-store was closed then dealer suggested to delete the old 8830 BIS email. Don't forget my 8830 and 9700 have different mobile numbers on separate accounts.

-return home and has decided to do the opposite of the dealer's suggestion, I've deleted email BIS (on the site of the BIS on my PC) on the 9700 rather than the 8830 and recorded again. It worked! Getting email audio alerts on two e-mail accounts! Synchronization Manager to back up, once I do request now if I want to upgrade to v5.0.0.423. I save my profile, and then click ok... bad idea. Once happens, alerts audio email stopped working again.

-Restore backup data, I just saved, alerts e-mail audiio does not. And then deleted and added a new e-mail, and update of new service books and audio alert in normal profile options.

-repeats removing the battery, turning network works, no luck.

From this moment, I have a 9700 with v5.0.0.423, updated service books and two emails from BIS (gmail and yahoo) which are still not give audio alerts email. Is this a problem of software or a defect in my own device? What can I do to fix this? It is imperative for me to answer my emails BIS in time for audio alerts by e-mail are a must for me.

In addition, my 8830 was conducting a BES until four weeks ago. Now, it is on BIS only even if one of the BES parameters is still present and I couldn't remove it. I don't know the password security feature, 8830 claims always my pw to unlock. Have not been able to turn it off on the security options screen.

Please help... How to get back my audio alert email?

    Hello Triple_P88,

To correct this problem, you need to remove the COMPUTER of your BlackBerry smartphone policy.

To do this, we would need to back up the BlackBerry smartphone. Please open the BlackBerry Desktop Manager and connect your BlackBerry smartphone. Click the backup and restore button, and select Save. Note the location where the backup is saved will allow us to access later to restore the BlackBerry smart phone.

Once you have saved your BlackBerry smart phone, please follow the link below to remove it from your BlackBerry smartphone strategy

    Link: http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB14202

I advise to do this for both phones, as well as after it is done do not restore the old backup, but selective restore as outlned below.

Selective restore of your BlackBerry smartphone (only restore the essential elements such as the address book, calendar, messages, etc.). I enclose a link below on how to do it.

  • C240 M3 on hardware failure email alerts?

    Hello

    I have server-ucs240 M3.

I want to configure smtp to alert.

    My MMIC version: 1.5 (4 d).

The server running VMware ESXi 5.1.

    How to configure?

    Greetings.

The MMIC stand alone is not an email alert function at this stage (as in worm 2.09)

In stand-alone mode, it sends alerts currently SNMP and syslog.

You get this feature if the 240M 3 Server is managed by the supervisor of the BMI, or UCSM.

  • R820 email alerts

    Hello

I noticed that on our R820 this email alert is not enabled by default for all CRITICAL alerts.

Seems to be a random choice that are activated and conditions that are not.

    • Is there a way to quickly activate alerts all THE REVIEWS to send an email?

(Test email alerts work OK btw)

    THX,

    John Bradshaw

What FW iDRAC is installed on the server. You can run racadm commands to activate the alerts by e-mail for all critical alerts below. To do this, you must have iDRAC 1.50.50 FW or higher installed on the server

    racadm eventfilters - c idrac.alert.system.critical - a none set email - n

    racadm eventfilters - c idrac.alert.storage.critical - a none set email - n

    racadm eventfilters - c idrac.alert.audit.critical - a none set email - n

    racadm eventfilters - c idrac.alert.Config.critical - a none set email - n

Note: For some category you could get an error message indicating "few parameters of alert have failed." This is normal because the E-Mail alert is not supported for all critical alerts.

  • Re: Email alert Notofications

    Hello guys,.

I am using custom dashboards and I send as an email alerts to the respective teams. To do this, we have @event alert and its configuration. To specify that only certain alerts (those important or essential) should hit the enamel of team members we have now no settings GUI to configure the alert out of dashboards customized just like standard dashboards in notifications. (See attached image)

For this vmware has created an emailfilter.xml file in the VM Analytics which allows to modify according to your design. My question is where can I fnd this file on a virtual computer analytical if we deployed Ops vC as a paralytic? because vmware has told u cannot use this xml file configuration file editor.

    Vmware notes: see highlited lines

A filtering rule is a set of conditions and e-mail addresses. The vCenter Operations Manager E-mail plugin uses
filtering rules to send email notifications to alert appropriate users based on the application, resources
kind, level alert and other criteria.
You define filter rules in the emailFilter.xml file, which is located in the vcenterops\
    Directory of user\plugins\outbound\filter_alertplugin\conf.
If you use the Operations Manager VAPP vCenter, edit the file emailFilter.xml on the second virtual server
    machine.
VCenter Operations Manager Standalone, you can edit emailFilter.xml directly, or you can use the
Configuration file editor. This procedure describes how to use the Configuration file editor.
To the Operations Manager VAPP vCenter, you must modify emailFilter.xml directly. You cannot use the
Editor configuration file with the Operations Manager vApp vCenter. For a description of the XML elements
in emailFilter.xml, see "emailFilter.xml leader," on page 82.

    Any help is appreciated
