  Sometimes those trapped. Take off them is from another phone, call your BB, leave a message. Then, the BB, retrieve the message and delete it. Sometimes the notification light stuck to release.

  I have a purple blackberry 8530smokey, my carrier is Verizon. I can't receiving and sending any type of message(bbm/email/text) during a phone call.  When I hang up ALL my message come flow (I guess I should be happy, they come in all).  Initially, all the messages are in silently so I adjusted it so that I would be notified when a message arrives.  I've removed since then, but I still have the problem.  Any advice?

  Also while at work, I changed the ringtone to silence, but all my messages my phone may make noise, I assumed that when I made the phone silent I assumed all messages/calls would be silenced.  I was incorrect?

  Anyway, any advice would be appreciated.

  This is how it works for 3G Verizon service.

  If you were on the WiFi, they then came on the phone.

  For notifications, looks like you set exceptions on the profile that allow notification while sounds on silent profile.

  Thanks for the reply! Shew, that I finally fixed it! Was about to panic here. It was a problem with my date/time. Somehow, had to reset the date/time and the messages appear lower in my list. I didn't scroll through my Inbox.

  You need to activate the phone. There is nothing that the phone can not be activated.

  Since you're on BES, you really should work with your BES admin... they have a lot of things and it is possible that they apply an expiration that you aren't aware of the control.

  Given that the OP has solved its problem, I thought that I needed to start my own thread.

  I have a new E-mail notification icon on my home screen that says I have 1 new e-mail.  I followed all the tips listed in the thread above with no success.  This happened last week just after the blackberry network problem. Ironically when she appeared, I didn't have a new email.  I took the battery out and restarted several times, no luck.  Did the search of unopened emails and not luck.

  Any ideas?  I know that it is an icon of e-mail as the number grows when in fact I get a new email.  After reading all the emails the icon always shows 1.

  Tips to clear the message unread... try them in the order. (I know will say you that you have done all this... but).

  If you have a new icon rogue Message on your home screen, or a negative number (-1), one of these solutions could erase or reset:

  Try these options:
  * Hard Reset BlackBerry now ALT CAP (right Shift key) and DEL (or with the BlackBerry power, remove the battery and reinsert the battery)
  Messages > saved Messages
  Messages > view folders, check each folder (calls, SMS and MMS, and boxes, saved missed boxes, browser, phone logs etc.)
  * Scroll at the top of the folder, on the title menu, click or tap to MARK PRIOR OPEN date
  Change your theme and see if it persists and return to your desired theme. (Options > theme > select.)
  * Clean and reload your OS.

  I just upgraded to a "8000" 3 years Blackberry (w / wheel side spin) for the 9000 "BOLD". (14 hours only!)

  I have my 5 emails on the 9000 through its Portal of creation of electronic mail without problem.

  As email is entered in the 5 respective mailboxes, a 'brand' Red/White appears in the Inbox.  the 'Hand' Message box would all gather data email 5, as well as text and phone message data.

  Excellent so far.

  Then, I launched a transfer of my contacts from my old 8000 series Blackberry.  Contacts transferred correctly.  HOWEVER, subsequently, e-mail in the box 'Message' of collection - will never appear in the separate respective email boxes.

  2 deleted & replaced battery

  All emails and messages will always go in the "main" messages folder You can not change this.

  Your specific folder of the individial email should still work as before. You may need to remove the Service books (Options > advanced > Service books and remove each).

  The return Service directories from your BIS site where you have enabled e-mail accounts.

  So I start to love this forum! Always find the answers to my questions

  Now, I'm trying to find out if there is a way to stop things going in my messages folder. I have BB Messenger, email yahoo, sms folder on my home screen and a few others. It seems that all my emails and BB Messenger messages are also stored in my regular ' messages' folder. I do not use this file and I was wondering if there was a way to stop this... it's quite annoying to have to go in this folder and the mark all read I read in another folder...

  When you mark it read in your main folder (not in the Messages folder), it should also mark it as read more messages (Conversely true, btw). The unread counter is just a conglomerate of all unreads all records - probably taken from Messages in any case since it is the collection point. Once you enter in each folder and read those, the meter will decrement and eventually go to zero. Unless you have other things in the Messages that are not reflected in another icon - like, separate you TEXT Messages? And did you stop logging of the calls in the Messages?
