  • AT200 connection to a PC Windows XP

    Hi comrades Toshiba users.

I tried to connect my AT200 tablet to my PC with a microUSB/USB cable. PC running XP SP3 and WMP 11 is installed.

When I connect, PC will not recognize the device due to missing driver... (She appears under AT200 in the list of devices with a yellow question mark pretty.)

If the driver exists, where can I find it?
If such driver does not exist, how do I ensure the connection is established and were able to see and recognize the Tablet PC?

    Thanks for your help!

    Hello

The AT200 is equipped with a micro-USB port that support OTG technology.
This allows you to connect the key USB and HID (keyboard and mouse) to the AT200.

However, to connect a USB (memory flash USB, keyboard or mouse) device, you must use a cable OTG (USB On-The-Go). The cable must be certified USB ON-THE-GO.

In addition, this Tablet does not support a printer and as I know the operation of the port of USB devices was not confirmed for some USB devices may not work correctly.

  • AT200 Connection to Windows 7

    Hello
I recently bought the Germany AT200. It works well, except that I don't know how to connect it to the PC for file sharing. I used the Acer Tablet before and it worked in the blink of an eye.

I tried to install all the drivers, the USB MTP shows that it fails. My OS is windows 7 (x 64).

When I used Acer, a message appeared to warn me if I want to use it as a mass storage device. Is it because I don't have an SD card? to doubt that this is the reason.

I have a MicroUSB to USB cable because the charger cable does not (used to work on ACER too).

    Any help is appreciated.

    Hello

Usually, you can use a micro-USB port on the tablet to connect your tablet to the computer.
Plug the Micro USB connector of the USB cable to the micro USB port on this tablet.
Plug the other end of the USB cable into the USB port of the computer and the tablet should be recognized as removable device MTP (Media Transfer Protocol) all you need to access its content.

As far as I know the tablet support port micro-USB supports OTG technology.
Is recommended to use a * certified USB OTG * (on the go) cable.

  • Is AT200 - possible to connect USB devices?

    Hi all

I bought last week a Tablet AT200-100 (in Spain), and a few days ago I also bought an adapter for USB cable for it. I've seen (at least that is what I understood) that it is possible to connect devices to the Tablet (as a host).

Well, I tried with two cables different and two different pills (I went back one and got another), and I can't get it to work.
I hope you can help, maybe I'm doing something wrong...

I used a micro USB B (plug) to USB (plug) adapter, and I tried to connect a USB keyboard, mouse and an external hard drive. Everything seems to work, nothing doesn't appear on the screen, and nothing new appears in the file manager. The light devices has never lit at all.

Is it necessary to install something before? To activate something?
    I use a bad cable?

    Help, please!

    Thanks in advance!

This port is USB 2.0 compliant.

To connect a USB (memory flash USB, keyboard or mouse), you must use a cable OTG (USB On-The-Go). The cable must be certified USB ON-THE-GO.

  • AT200 - problems of network connection to day ics

I tried several times to update to ICS, but I can't download the software package!

When I try this at home, I get about one-fifth of the full download before he says "could not download the software.
Please check your network connection. I tried to download via public wifi in coffee - same problem.

I read on the Forums that others have this problem as well, but there is no answer yet. Anyone with an idea full help there?
    That...

Have you tried to install the application "Fixer WiFi"? I can just guess that your WiFi connection is unstable and station service app download recovery (all?) may not be very robust.

Personally, I had no problem download & install the update (in addition, there is some messagebox after update).

    #1
Are you sure, that there is enough free space on your shelf for download? (Shouldn't need more than 1 GB)

    #2
Optimize your WiFi connection. Put the Tablet next to the router during the download. If this does not help, try to check (i.e. with a laptop and software, or the router can have such a function) what are the channels (2, 4 GHz) have probably never served in your neighborhood and try to reconfigure the router to use a channel of the less/not used.

    It will be useful.

  • AT200 - Support for Ethernet USB

    Hello

We plan to install several AT200 as kiosk services in our Museum.

We just test a USB OTG cable, and it works very well with keyboards and USB storage using the latest version of the ICS.

However, when you connect an adapter ethernet-usb (asix chipset), the OS does not recognize the device.

I have read several reports from people who successfully use this family of devices on other Toshiba tablets (prosper, excite).

We are doing something wrong, or the driver has not been compiled in the kernel?
Is it possible to download the source so we could build ourselves?

    Thank you

    > However, when you connect an adapter ethernet-usb (asix chipset), the OS does not recognize the device.

Perhaps this adapter is simply not compatible. From my experience, not all 3rd party parts that are available on the market are compatible with any android Tablet

  • Strange behavior AT200 - 101 USB OTG with all devices

    Hey,.
I have an AT200-101 with an ICS 4.0 OS update and I can't get the USB hostmode working. After a lot of reading on the difference fine between the regualar (type B) USB connector and type A (called the OTG) I finally got the right adapter (it has a shape of recangular and ID - PIN is connected to the Earth).
Now, whenever I plug in a device (massstorage key USB 3G modem) nothing happens except the watch AT200 suddenly * load * even if it is not connected to the charger or the externally connected device power is on.
I tried these external USB devices with an other ICS Tablet (Zenithink) and they work fine.

    Andybody of the clues?

Did some tests more: connect a USB mouse works fine as well plug my Sony NEX camera in mode masstorage... But all the other sticks are ignored... Only Toshiba sticks are recognized?

  • Disconnection from the WiFi with Android 3.2.1 and AT200

    Hello

I'm in France, and I got my new AT200.

The problem is in Wifi (and update my tablet with ICS, I posted another topic). If I am far around 5 meters access point, I lost the connection: with other devices such as PC or Galaxy S2, signal is perfect!

So no idea why my wifi connection is lost? Is this a problem of my Tablet?

  • Re: AT200 - gps receiver stopped working

For some reason gps receiver stopped working on my camera (ics at200)...
All using the internet connection of positioning works fine however.

    Is there a cure?

Have you used a gps Utility (like 'GPS Test' or 'latest coordinates GPS') to look at how many satellites were in sight? (or opportunity)

Have you tested the GPS feature outside under the open sky or inside a building.

How long wait it for the vacancy?

"Positioning while using internet ' often used completely different techniques. Google/Android to calculate the position of HotSpots WiFi known (which would have been unconsciously picked up by other android with gps & wifi active devices or streetview cars) or the cell-ID (which is much less accurate).

The AGPS (Web support) function usually reduced ownly time until GPS is ready to provide the contact information (time to first fix). Usually these data AGPS is also valid for a week or two after you download once. (The "Test GPS" app has an option to manually request the AGPS data that makes sense only if the internet is available.)

Get a first fix for GPS, especially if the last successful use of GPS was some time there can take a long time. So outside, which allows GPS, maintain a stable and up to 15-30 min wait may be required. 'GPS Test' or 'GPS coordinates' applications can be used to observe the status of the fact receiver. Usually satellites should appear almost immediately, but the GPS takes a few additional minutes until. This is the time required to download Almanac data and satellite ephemeris. (If not already obtained by an AGPS function).

  • The AT200 tablet screen turns off

    Help...

I had my AT200 for a little more than 24 hours and the sceen went now empty, but the Tablet is still on, screen is blank, but on and the unit is completely insensitive.

Can not switch it out... don't know what to do now?

    Really disappointed :-(

    Can someone help, please?

    Thank you

    Hi Catherine,
This happened to my Tablet too early. But after that in the past few weeks, my Tablet ran completely without this problem occurring again (after installing a few fix, see below). So there is hope.

Certainly your tablet is at a standstill. A software error has occurred which even turned off the power button.
There are also no way for a hard reset on the AT200 (like removing the battery).

You can try in any case to press the longest power button (5-10 seconds) maybe it helps.

    My solution is:
Let your only Tablet for a few hours. Important: Do not plug the power supply!

After a few hours (I think that mine took about 12 to 20 h) battery will be (nearly) exhausted, and I hope that the material will turn off the tablet at a standstill to save the battery against damage.

At any time, you can try the power switch. I have the Tablet is at a standstill should not react. If the Tablet is turned off, the power led should continue for a second, then turns off. (Because of the battery it won't turn)

Then you can connect the power supply. The power led should go on now, which indicates that the Tablet battery is charged.

After a few minutes you should be able (I hope) back on the shelf. (Leave the power supply connected)

    It worked for me.

Now, of course, an Internet connection is present (active Wifi).
Open the App 'Toshiba Service Station', updates, and then install the hotfix for 3.2.1. (I guess that the Tablet has not already the 4.0? Mine doesn't).

If you get no reaction against the ignition switch after waiting a longer time. Alternatively, you can connect the power supply for a trial. If the power led lights which can be a good indicator that the Tablet is alive again.

    Good luck!

  • Re: Problem connecting GPS AT100

I have a Tablet AT100-100, that I just bought. I seem to have trouble connecting with GPS. I have activated the GPS according to the instructions of the manual, but still cannot connect with GPS. I tried to connect on google maps and was able to connect via wifi, but when I turn off wifi, I can not connect via GPS only. Is that what I can do to activate GPS or is it a hardware problem

    Hi toshibakias,
personally, I own an AT200, then I am not a perfect fit for your question.

I wonder if you confuse the GPRS (General Packet Radio Service) with GPS (Global Positioning System) here. GPRS can be used (pretty much as WiFi) on some devices to get a connection for data transfer. GPRS is not a feature of the AT100 (or AT200) but many phones.

But if you mean a "fix" of GPS with the term "connection", then hopefully that operate you with the following steps.

    #1
I recommend that you install the App "GPS status" for greater transparency. In this application, you can see if GPS is basically permitted and one count how many satellites is currently on view (+ reception quality). In addition, you can trigger a download of AGPS data (if a wireless Internet connection is at your fingertips) that can speed up the first fix.

    #2
    Go outside.
GPS (for the most part) only works under a clear sky. Avoid the secondary buildings which can protect the reception of the GPS Satellites. The number of satellites for the application "GPS status" should increase now.

    #3
    Be patient.
Get the position (= fix) may take several minutes. Especially if the GPS receiver is used for the first time or if the situation has changed considerably since the last use, a first fix may take up to 20-30 minutes. Generally, it should take about 5 minutes if GPS reception is good and maintain you an almost constant position.

If you have the GPS 'fix' once, future GPS corrections could be faster. Also GPS position power (!) be still available at the entrance of a building (near windows, at least).

  • AT200 ADB - why are developers locked?

I am very happy with my Tablet AT200-101, but there is one thing the guys really me: the ADB support missing.
(ADB: Android development bridge, used to deploy and debug Android-Apps)

He did develop a real pain l.i.r on this device.
The support of the Asian Development Bank is not really off, somehow, it is possible to bypass the USB connection with linux and deliver it via WiFi, but even my cheap Zenithink Tablet offers ADB drivers.

So why doesn't Toshiba bother to do?
Missing skills? Should I ask Quanta (who makes them)?
