Atfer I run chkdsk /f y at - it a newspaper I can access to view the codes of output reported by this utility?
Hello
I would like to know if after I run chkdsk /f {DRIVE}: the utility generates a log file that contains the output generated by the check codes?
- If so, how/where can I access
- If NOT, how can I run this command to generate a log file that contains the exit codes
Thank you
After running chkdsk /f and restart, go to event viewer > Windows Logs > Application.
Search for 'Wininit', near the top of the list, double click on it to read the report.

Run the code to output on output keyboard event and not mouse exit
It seems that the exit event runs on the cell in the table (text field) when you select a cell with the mouse. I have had to force a Tab or entry to set the focus keyboard to another cell in another table. It's pretty easy to take place, but when you select a location with the mouse, the exit event seems to operate and excessive rides of the keyboard focus to the location I'm force. Is it possible to ignore exit code for the event in case of non-clavier?
Hello
The exit event will always when the object loses the focus. Take a look at the end of this example that shows how you can detect how the field was left: http://assure.ly/j1KdNq.
This early example also considered the development of a field setting when you press on enter: https://acrobat.com/#d=RZ1lzX23 * u7L4N9rtWCYPQ.
Hope that helps,

My laptop Vista 32 unreal access router and ping its own IP address, but no access to Vista 64-bit Wired Office with ping or try to access folders shared I place some months ago and used without problem until about 2 days ago. I recently did a restore of the laptop but it worked after that and I adjusted all the settings. I have Net bios over TCP/IP enabled on both machines. I have two machines on the workgroup and file sharing is enabled on both. Vista 64 desktop computer can access the Internet but can not access the shared folders that I put in this PC! He cannot ping the router either but can be accessed via the routers Web page. The router is configured correctly as well. I became a master browser errors on Vista 64 desktop until I changed the registry on the laptop off car with respect to the list of servers. I'm a computer technician with networking experience, but am confused on this one. There are so many problems over there near the mine, but they usually have xp machines trying to access Vista or vice-verse. In addition, they cannot access the Internet generally. If anyone out there has any intelligent suggestions I'm desperate, but know that I have this research completely so guess I did all the basic troubleshooting to save time you and me. Thanks in advance to anyone with advice!

Hey thanks for getting back to me, I wanted to let you know that I could solve the problem! I'm not sure excatly what the problem was, but I went and bought a fixed register a program so that I paid for, as you no doubt know the free just ruin your machine more than it is useful, well I ran that and restarted and BOOM! Now even if I can connect to each computer and the internet. I'm still not able to ping? Now when I say that this is not so much genral, the laptop I can ping any name of site Web and number but not the PC. On the PC I can ping its own IP address but not the router or laptop? But it has no bearing on anything so I anticipate leaving me well enough alone. I how ever to download a graphics professional ping program, but not to worried about it! Thank you so much for you help and if I need more help, I hope you are avalibale!

I know this question has been asked several times, but I did these steps and still not get Defragmenter to work. My Disk Doctor said I don't have problems with my Defragler work program - but I don't have a C: drive not 'dirty '. I have Windows XP Home Edition and do not know how to run an XP Recovery Console. Y at - it an easy way just to get the Defragmenter to work?... when I run Chkdsk... It goes through stages and then closes and the problem is still there. Defragmenter just stopped working, my computer everything works fine. Help, please.
Hmmm... It should only take a few minutes for ImgBurn to create the bootable XP Recovery Console CD, then maybe one of the songs that you have downloaded (xp_rec_con.iso or install IgmBurn) won't quite right.
You want ImgBurn to play a happy tune when it is successful and a "Oh no!" message when it fails, but it shouldn't take hours to burn this ISO file bit. You can try another system. You can always uninstall ImgBurn when finished.
I say 'be patient' when you run the chkdsk /r command because sometimes it seems to be stuck (or even go back), but it should end later. Depending on the volume size, the amount of data on the volume, the speed of your system and what the chkdsk finds to do, you can watch several hours.
Look at these words from the mouth of Microsoft:
If you use chkdsk /f on a drive or drives for very large (for example, 70 gigabytes) with a very large number of files (for example, millions of files), chkdsk may take a long time (for example, over several days) to complete. The computer is not available during this time because chkdsk does not relinquish control until it is completed.
At the time of this writing, I'm guessing a disc 70 GB was "very large" but it is quite modest by today's standards.
Now with today's technology, it is unlikely to take days, but it could still take some time! If your HARD drive is afflicted with a problem material and dying, it can never finish or be unable to fix things.
To start XP, it automatically checks each volume to see if it is dirty and will try to run chkdsk from the afflicted volumes. Sometimes, it's good enough to clear the dirty bit, sometimes it isn't. You will see a message at startup if the volume should be checked for consistency and XP will do the best.
That's exactly what the message tells you:
Disk Defragmenter has detected that Chkdsk is scheduled to run on the volume: (c :))
You can query the dirty bit on a volume from the command prompt window.
Click Start, run and enter in the box:
cmd
Click OK to open the command prompt window.
To query the bit of impurity on drive C, type:
fsutil dirty query C:
The sample output:
Volume c is dirty
Volume C: is dirtyType "exit" to close the command prompt window.
If you are suspicious of your HARD drive and think it might be failing, now would be a good time to backup your personal data (documents, pictures, music, etc.) to an external location - a separate attached USB drive or a few clouds on the Internet.
-
Why then defrag more. It says chkdsk is scheduled to run on the volume (c), please run chkdsk/f. What this means, please help.
Stop and restart Windows. When it restarts, and before you see the desktop, it should run chkdsk. When it has finished its execution errors and fixed everything, the desktop should appear. The computer should work normally. If he does something different or does not operate normally, please post a message to this same thread. Include the exact wording of any error or other messages.

Cannot run chkdsk and subsequently cannot run the defragmentation
I'm unable to defragment my hard drive. It is said that there is a regular print run of chkdsk at startup which never works. If I try to run chkdsk /f myself, I get a message that says that the computer is unable to lock the station and that the volume is already used by a different process. Does anyone have a tip?
Is it possible to run chkdsk or scandisk at startup by pressing a certain button?
Is there a list of tasks scheduled outside of that Panel?Hello
I assume that you have enabled the service chkdsk under properties of the HARD drive.
If you have activated the chkdsk in Windows you need to restart the device and after restarting again the blue screen should appear a the chkdsk must begins. In my opinion you simply restart your device after the start of the chkdsk command.

Thanks for posting in Microsoft Communities. Of the description of problem I can understand that you are not able to run disk defragment. Provide the following information to understand the issue:
· Did you do changes on the computer before the show?
· Reason why you want to run disk defragment?
Follow these methods.
Method 1: Follow the steps in the article.

Note: If bad sectors are found in the hard drive, then it could try to fix this particular sector. If you have any data on that, it can get lost.
I hope this helps.

Has begun to run chkdsk on my XP pc. Now he works through step 4 of 5 but times out and suspended. How can I stop CHKDSK (which then starts whenever I start) or prevent the pc from standby?
Hello StarsDad,
To stop running CHKDSK /F R, follow these steps:
- Run the Registry Editor (Regedt32.exe).
- Under the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE subtree, go to the following subkey:
- Change the BootExecute entry to:
autocheck autochk * /r\DosDevice\C:
TO:
autocheck autochk *.
If you have scheduled CHKDSK for multiple volumes, there will be an entry for each volume autocheck. Remove the string from the registry BootExecute value for each volume you want to not verified.
This procedure will reset the default string, and CHKDSK /F /R does not reset.

I'm running Windows XP sp3 on a Dell with 2 GB of ram. The corrupted file is located in a disk Seagate Expansion (E).
You should run chkdsk /f (to correct), or chkdsk/r (to repair). If this is not the case, no repairs will be preformed.
