ATI CATALYST CONTROL DOES NOT
my computer hp pavilion 6 1310 tx g laptop
OS - win 7 Enterprise 64-bit
ATI radeon hd 6470 m
Recently I faced the failure of the system, so I formatted win 7. also, I need more space so I created new partitions and formatted disks. Now, I installed win 7 64-bit enterprise edition. I downloaded all the drivers from this link:http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?os=4063&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&sw_lang=&product=5208...
When I tried to install the ati drivers what they normally installed without displaying any errors. But I could not locate the catalyst control center after their installation .He is not displayed in the start menu, nor that I can use switchable graphics option.
I only use intel hd graphics card or my ati radeon.
in the Device Manager it shows the driver as it used to be earlier
"ati radeon hd 6470 m.
This device does not work correctly
driver date 25 July 11
driver version: 8.830.6.6000
So what do I do now, I tried searching in many forums and downloaded many drivers... Tutorials followed, but nothing has worked. Please help me as soon as possible.
Installation of a non - HP Catalyst Control Center and driver for your laptop will not work. You must download it from your laptop support portal and make uninstalling two-step and install that I have described.

Intel R WIDI and Catalyst Control does not
I have Dell Inspiron 15R SE new 7520 on the first day, when I installed Widi application there is a problem, any update in display driver causes an accident in one of the application object.
There are updates available from Intel, AMD, and even from Microsoft for display drivers but I can not install updates. I checked the other forums almost every user of dell with this laptop under windows 8 have the same problem.

Its my third Dell laptop, this time I was hoping to buy a piece of high-end, but now I feel sorry for myself.
Hi Novice_dell,
I apologise for the inconvenience. The required drivers are updated in the support Web site. Inspiron 7520 works on the switchable graphics technology. Intel and AMD cards work in sync according to the type of application that you are running. Simple application runs using Intel graphics card, where as a intense process are made by AMD graphics card. So update the driver on the manufacturer's Web site is unable to help.
I recommend you to uninstall Intel, AMD drivers WiFi and video of the Device Manager. Video drivers are listed under graphics cards and wireless driver is under network adapters. Delete folder AMD and Catalyst Control Center in programs and features.
Reboot the system and update the drivers from the link below:
Click on the link above, enter the system service tag and click on send, select the operating system from the menu drop down to get the drivers. Install the Intel graphics driver first, reboot the system and then install the AMD driver.
Response for assistance.

ATI Catalyst Control Center simplified view do not support active graphic processor
When I start the CCC, I get "features in the ATI Catalyst Control Center basic view do not support active graphic processor".
I'm using ATI (not Intel).
Driver is showing only: Version 8.633.0.0

Uninstall-reinstall CCC and or the driver does not help. How can I fix CCC?
Thank you

Now corrected to my laptop an error of ATI Catalyst Control Center.
I had given up the uninstall/reinstall and register pluck and sweep, so I ran Intel graphics all the time.
I voted against reinstall .NET 3.5, 3.0, 2.0... as I didn't aggravate and lose even more time, since I have a working machine.
The other day the matrix Driver Lenovo had a video update.

I have a new Toshiba Satellite L840 computer that had installed so I used Windows 8 Upgrade Pro but he tells me that ATI Catalyst Control Center is not compatible Windows 7. I had the option of UNINSTALLING ATI Catalyst Control Center, which I did but it tells me it has to be reinstalled and to go to my Center of Toshiba computer to download a compatible, but I found on the Web from Toshiba site? It is necessary to have ATI Catalyst Control Center to run Windows 8?
Hello
Your machine will work fine with the Catalyst.
You will not have access to some of the optional features\adjustments it provides however.
There is a new version of catalyst to win 8 available at AMD\ATI that may or may not work, depending on the model of your graphics chip. If the model is 6 * or higher, it should work.
I have not personally tried yet.

My laptop is the dv7t-6 c 00 Quad and I just installed the version of Windows8 Pro (I am a member of MSDN Developer).
Everything went fine EXCEPT the ATI Catalyst Control Center does NOT work. I tried to reinstall the graphics driver (sp55098.exe), but it won't work because it does not "meet the minimum requirements" (which I assume means that it has not been updated to handle Windows8.
The result is that my system has become unstable. I guess that's because the control center would deal with switching between low power and high power/performance chipsets. I noticed that this change can occur on the fly and seems to have with a web browser (Internet Explorer).
It's REALLY BAD, because it crashes my system.
Please respond and tell me that there is a SOLUTION NOW!
* Notes: I tried to launch Catalyst Control Center and get this message, "Catalyst Control Center cannot be started. There are currently no parameters that can be configured using Catalyst Control Center". AAARGH!
Tom
It's the definitive answer to AMD. HP must deliver the updated for my portable operarting under Windows8 Catalyst drivers. I hope it will be soon. In fact, I'd be happy to beta test.
Here is the answer from AMD:
Dear Thomas,
Your service request: SR #{ticketno: [8200508926]} has been reviewed and updated.
History of application of Service and response:
As AMD only provides the reference for laptops drivers (provided as-is with limited support), sometimes our software is not compatible because changes made to the graphics card from the laptop manufacturer to improve stability and performance in the laptop. The error you receive indicates that the Radeon card in your laptop is incompatible with our drivers, since the manufacturer of your laptop has changed the Radeon card enough such that our drivers will work with your product. As such, you will need to contact HP for pilots and support to download and install. We will have all the drivers for your system that will be compatible, you will be forced to go with HP. We apologize for any inconvenience this might cause.

Uninstalling ATI catalyst Manager and ATI catalyst control center.
So Im STILL, try to install windows 7, but honestly I am beginning to have some sort of fear. Its asking me to uninstall the ATI catalyst Manager and ATI catalyst control center. I was able to uninstall ATI catalyst not Manager control centering forest. I was wondering that if I have to reinstall them back and if so, how to do this. Is that going to affect my laptop, I seriously can't afford a new computer laptop im a student on a budget tight. Anyone can shed some light. Is it safe to actually upgrade, I contacted HP, and that's what they said.
I want to just confirm that we do not recommend to upgrade the operating system, we do not support the operating system pre-installed and tested on your laptops.
Its hardware is capable of upgrade to windows 7 but I want to just confirm that we do not recommend the upgrade if your laptop does not come with the windows upgrade option 7.
Someone please help! Update affect my computer?Oh God, that doesn't sound so appealing to me. I think that just keep patient windowsvista. I had problems with installing wondows 7 since day 1, I think it's a sign. THANK YOU SO MUCH! You have been great. Seriously, thanks for your time and patience.

Re: Satellite A300-1LT - impossible to install the ATI catalyst control center
I can't install sound pretty boring - ATI catalyst control center. To be honest, everything works fine without it, but in a few days, I'll get HDTV, so I thought why not install now to check the options in it. I installed the latest versions of ATI drivers, choose the right system (vista 32 bit), but for some strange reason, I do not see anywhere, not in the start Panel, not in c-program files-ati tehnologices where its supposed to be installed.
As I sad, I have no problem with my grapfic card, I just wanted to be able to play with the scope setting resolutions when my TV is used.
I have the ati 3470 graphic card.
Hi Hrvoje
If I understand you right, you use now non - Toshiba ATI display driver. Am I right about that?
I mean I don't think that Toshiba offers several versions of ATI drivers for your model laptop.Where you Born these drivers? On the Toshiba download page?

Reinstall required for ATI Catalyst Control Center after the upgrade to Windows 8
Updated my HP Pavilion dv7 - 70232cl to Windows 8. I don't have any problems during the upgrade. Now I'm asked to reinstall ATI Catalyst Control Center. The message says that my version of ATI Catalyst Control Center is not compatible with this version of Windows. Y at - it a patch for this problem that I can download? Thanks, jk-3003
And the AMD Catalyst Control Center depends on .NET 3.5 installed first, otherwise it will not install.
Launch Control Panel, select programs, click programs and features, and then click on "Turn Windows features on or off".
Check the first box - .NET Framework 3.5 (included .NET 2.0 and 3.0)
Make sure you are connected to the internet, because you may have to download files from Ms.
Once this is done install your driver AMD should be fine
