ATI Radeon HD 3650 T500 has overheated and possibly fried?

I am sure that my graphics card is overheated and became something physically wrong with her, because when I finally connected, he went blue screen immediately to 0x0000007F or something similar. I uninstalled the video card driver and it worked fine after that. When I tried to reinstall the driver, properly downloaded on the lenovo site, he returned blue screen during the installation. It does this every time.

I want to fix it, I have a 3 year warranty but my sticker on the bottom of the laptop is faded, so I don't know what is S/N. I have a number so: XXXXXXXX has been what I copied down from it before becoming faded. I don't know what to do now, so if you have any ideas, that would be great.

Moderator Note: serial number removed to avoid misuse.

Hi hatakek,

You can open the box to ThinkVantage tools via the ThinkVantage button next to your power button.

From there, you should be able to see your product number, serial number and BIOS.

Hope that helps.

  • HP Pavilion dv7t-6100: switch to ATI RADEON video card. Hang, reboot, and white screen.

    Hello.

I was using my laptop as usual, and like many other times I have tried to swich for High Performance video card.  At this time, Windows crashes; So I had to press the power button a few seconds until the computer turns off.

Then, when I turned it on:

-Anything on the screen (on the screen of the computer laptop and external monitor)

    -Cannot access BIOS

-No boot sequence (operating system does not)

-Led is ON (without LEDs + turn signals)

-Keyboard unresponsive (caps lock led for instance does not change when I press on it)

I tried several suggestions "base" that I found on the Internet with no luck:

-Unplug the power cable, remove the battery

-Remove the battery from the BIOS, RAM, HARD drive

-Press the on switch / off 60 seconds

So I guess something is dead here.  Could it be that the RADEON card no longer works?

When the computer is turned on, what card uses by default?

Is it possible (not through BIOS, not through OS) to specify to use the integrated graphics card Intel? Removing the RADEON card (is that even possible)?

    Thanks in advance.

However if I put the Move windowed mode, it works fine.

I've already updated my drivers, and now I will try the windows xp mode which was recommended in this forum.

    Any other suggestions?

  • Need driver more recent card ATI Radeon 3650 - Satellite Pro A300-1NT

    Hi all

I'm looking for the latest drivers for ATI Radeon HD 3650 onboard Satellite Pro A300-1NT.
During the game, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen game (2009) by Beenox Inc.... I get squares pixelated on the screen (instead of dust) and possibly a blue screen.

    I use Windows XP Pro
I searched drivers * Toshiba site * and the only one that I found are:
01/12/09 Display Driver ATI Windows XP 8.477

    * Support game * suggests upgrading driver for a newer version.

    * Ati manufacturer support * have driver for ATI Radeon 8650 but not compatibile with Solution Mobile - and asked for Mobile Ati support I got the Transfer:
+ AMD for ATI products customer service does not provide direct technical support for computers laptops/notebooks this moment (by phone or e-mail). If you need live technical support please contact the manufacturer of your laptop/notebook computer system. +

I ask then is there latest drivers for Windows XP

    Hello

I think you have already answered that question yourself...

As you wrote that you can get all the drivers on the Toshiba site and if it isn t a newer driver available you can nothing more I think. Satellite A300 isn t a laptop of game performance so I think that the display drivers are not so important.

The only way to obtain a more recent version, it's looking on external Web sites. Maybe you can get the desktop pilot working had some changes I put t know but really attention! Other drivers don't have protection against overheating and you could destroy the graphics chip. Be very careful of what you do.

Alternatively, you can search on the Toshiba site for other models of laptops with ATI card too. Maybe, you can get a newer version

Hi, I have a problem with my laptop (Hp g62 - b16st) I use this laptop for 2011 and I didn't have any complain so far, but 3 days ago when I played PES 2013 he suddenly restarted then blue screen name appeared. I did some research on google about this problem and I see no useful solution. My problem is on Ati Radeon Hd 5470. When I switch to Ati Radeon I see just black screen and if I don't disable it in safe mode it keep black screen display. I tried everything to fix it, but nothing happened.  I hope you can help me because I couldn't find the solution by myself.

Hi uAunknown, welcome to the Forums of HP. I hope that the blue screen and screen black behavior you are experiencing is pilot-related and not related material.  First restore the original graphics drivers (Intel & AMD) using this method: use of the Recovery Manager to restore the software and drivers (Windows 7)

  • Satellite M45-S169 - overheating and the upgrade card RAM/graphics

    Hello

I have need some answers and solace to the questions I have on my laptop. Here are the following questions:

Laptop overheating fast enough, hereby, I mean in about 10 minutes, the laptop Burns upward. It is the model or is there something wrong with it? I can't keep the laptop without maintaining that it plugged into the wall at all times. That this has something to do with my battery like that I need a new?

I am able to install the new RAM * (2 GB Max) and if yes, someone knows how it slots are for this model? (Not really opened to check because I'm bad to put things together after taking them apart)

I am able to install a new graphics card for the laptop or I'm stuck with ATI RADEON XPRESS 200 M Series? (and if it is not too much to ask, is the graphics card, I have good, bad, or so - so)

Sorry if there are too many questions, but it would be really nice if I get the answers to all these.

    Hi Honu_2,

(1.) you should clean your laptop using a jet of compressed air. This could blow out the dust from the cooling fans and read this article please:
    http://forums.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/forums/Ann.jspa?annID=40

2.) Yes, it seems that you need a new battery if your laptop only works with AC/DC adapter connected.

3.), you should check your owner's manual. As far as I know this model supports up to 2 GB of RAM. This means that you can install 1 GB into the two slots.

(4.) the graphics card upgrade is not possible because it s/set soldered on the motherboard and your laptop is designed only for the preinstalled graphics card.

By the way: these questions are already answered here. Check out the forum for similar topics, you will find many interesting things! ;)

  • problems with ati radeon x 600 in dc7600

    Hi-
Newbie here... I just installed a X 600/256 MB card pcie ATI Radeon in the HP dc7600 SFF and getting white 4-5 screen when starting with Windows XP.

She also stopped twice in the past two weeks as the card has been installed. No problem with integrated graphics.

My question is: I have loaded which, in my view, are the correct drivers from this site and the AMD/ATI site. Could someone please tell me / link me to drivers. Some do not list even the X 600 just X 550 / X 1050. No use gamming or heavy on this machine. ¿¿Would I better too just stick with the integrated graphics card?

    Thank you

    Hello

I suggest to remove the card, reinstall the drivers for the integrated graphics card and using the onboard graphics for a week as a test.

If the white screen start and stops disappear then you have found the culprit.

If you do not need higher resolution graphics, you are definitely better with the embedded video solution. I suggest using the original drivers.

What dc7600 do you have? (CMT, SFF, or ultra-Slim form factor are the three versions)

    Best regards

From the other day, I get artifacts strange screen. Sometimes, I have horizontal lines, vertical bars sometimes, square pink sometimes strange checkerboard (which will sometimes disappear when I use my mouse wheel).

I have updated all drivers started in safe mode, returned a few weeks on recovery - and a lot restarted. Sometimes mistakes have been fixed, sometimes not. I also cleaned all the dust from inside. Time here are almost the same everyday also.

I guess the video card goes wrong, but I hope that there may be an easy fix, I forgot. If this isn't the case, I need recommendations for a new video card.

  • T500 (vista x 64): graphics (ati radeon 3650) lack of device driver

I realized recently that I've been running on integrated graphics, so I checked the Device Manager and cannot find my discreet ati radeon 3650 device anywhere. In my display settings, there are only 2 sets of integrated graphics card intel 4500, when it can be the one who said mobility radeon hd 3650. I installed the new video card driver for the ATI radeon lenovo support and still nothing (Yes the correct version etc.), the ati mobility did not show in the Device Manager to all. I tried to address ati to high power mode, still nothing, resulting in my computer down most of the time, it seems to put on powered down. The only device driver available seems to be my integrated graphics card intel crap. I tried in the bios to set the display to set the discrete graphics, white screen on lcd screen, gets all the times I have reboot, I had to plug an external monitor on my laptop to return the parameters to the switchable graphic on bios. Is anyway to fix this or what is going on b/c my mobility radeon card suffered a hardware failure? Thank you.

It sounds like your radeon ATI have a problem. You let guaranteed? Application of a force on the GPU ATI chipset allow it works momentarily?

If you have not guaranteed, then you should stick with your integrated gpu.

  • ATI radeon 3650 driver T500

So I just receive my laptop back from repair including the video card have been replaced. The pilot has been previously uninstalled so in Device Manager it says "this device cannot start." Where is the driver that I need to make it work again?

    Finally managed to do work.

-The installer to extract the files to C:/DRIVERS\WIN\VIDEO and for some reason the ATI installer after that fails to install and won't explain why, even when I click on "view log". Nothing is displayed.

-Extract the driver files in C:/WIN/DRIVERS/VIDEO and then go to the control panel Device Manager and clicking on "Update driver software" in the menu click right the adapter and navigating manually to "C:\DRIVERS\WIN\VIDEO" instead of the folder Windows\system32\drivers default finally works.

  • T500: Overclocking Radeon HD 3650 258 MB help please

II uses ATI Radeon 3650 with 258 MB ddr3 and 600 base clock and 700 mhz memory clock speed (as described in the Catalyst Control Center). Using Vista Business x 64 w / 4 GB of ram

I want to play Last Remnant, since I don't know what would be my GPU temp if overclock, which would be a security settings overclocking to try? Suppose I use AtiTool 2. 7. b (using a core 2 duo of 25 watt cpu btw)

Elevation of someone was: ATI HD3650 512 MB GDDR3 - overclocked to 800/900 to 1.4V (However the 3650 has 512 MB of ram)

The small amount that you can overclock won't be enough in your case to make a notable difference in game.  Although it is possible, the 3650 puts some heavy heat and fan cooling/heatpipe can handle just to stock speed at full load.  ThinkPad is designed for "business" and the 3650 is a pretty decent video for a laptop card, you won't run Crysis with all the details with high resolution.  Be realistic and he's working up to something the average order of 12 x 8 instead of 16 x 10 with the graphics settings.  I know that's not what you want but its what you do for the game on your Thinkpad.

  • A Dell U2414H can work with a mac Pro 3.1 (10.9.5) and an ATI Radeon HD 2600 XT?

    Hello

Here's my dilemma. I recently bought a Dell U2414 as a 2nd monitor to replace my old 2407FWP Dell (has died) with the understanding that the new monitor would work (via a DVI to mini displayport cable). I bought a high quality 3rd party DVI to mini display port cable. Obviously, the monitor does not. I can't get a direct Dell response if this will never work. My hunch is the graphics card can not simply to manage this monitor and it won't work with my system.

FYI: I also have an old DELL G2210 (resolution: 1680 x 1050 at 60 Hz) on the other DVI port. So I'll still need a DVI port.

Here are the current video card info:

ATI Radeon HD 2600 XT: VRAM (Total): 256 MB

Here is my Mac info (on 10.9.5):

Model name: Mac Pro (early 2008)

    Model identifier: MacPro3, 1

Processor name: Intel Quad - Core Xeon

    Processor speed: 2.8 GHz

    16 GB OF RAM

Firstly: If someone can give an answer as to if the monitor works with this graphics card, just to settle this matter and move?

Second, assuming that no, my choice appears to be:

    1. return the screen and try to find another 24 "that will work with the original map (someone there suggestions for what is currently still deployed that would work with such an old graphics card?)
    2. upgrade the map so it can handle the new monitor but still run the old.

I chatted with OWC on this subject and they suggested 2 possible upgrade cards but they will not be returned since they could not guarantee that they will work with this monitor there is a risk.

Dell has been pretty useless (I have no one said yes, the other doesn't).

Here are some suggestions from OWC (see below). Can someone comment and tell me if or the other will definitely work or offer another solution? I would really appreciate it!

    Best,

This is a screen with a displayPort, a DisplayPort outside and a Mini DisplayPort connector, in 1920 by 1080 max resolution.

You are WAY overthinking this. A mini DisplayPort to mini DisplayPort or a Mini DisplayPort to [size] DisplayPort should do all the work for about US$ 10, no conversion.

You don't need another card unless your is dead.

  • Where can I buy the new ATI Radeon 3650 for Satellite A300D mobility?

    Hi all

very simple question, where can I buy new unused mobility graphics card Ati Radeon 3650 for model toshiba A300D - 16Q, omg help me pls, thanks ;)))

Very simple question for you, but not just for the members of the forum.
For desktop computers, you can purchase almost all hardware, but for mobile units, it's a bit complicated, especially if you need new motherboard.

General graphics card is not available in the separate framework and what you can buy is any motherboard. You'll be lucky if you will be able to buy the graphics card used somewhere.

You will be able to find the entire motherboard but the graphics card... it is not easy to find.
