ATM STM-1 on C7206

Hi all

If anyone knows how much virtual circuits (PVC) can support 7206 on STM-1 ATM?

Hello

  • Shared STM vs variable

From what I saw on the forum so far, it seems to me that, compared to a shared variable, STM is better with different data and larger size data type. The only thing that makes the slightly better shared variable that the STM is to be a little more simple.  If this is the case, why use a variable shared at all?  Are there applications where the shared variable is much better than the STM?

We used the variables shared/datasocketfor for 5 years and they work well. In the simplest form, they are extremely easy to use. I strongly recommend wrapping it in a logic to give you the ability to detect the connection state and to reestablish the connection if it is lost (simple implementation will raise an error and not reconnect)

The biggest risk in using this Protocol is that NEITHER has all the cards. You have no guarantee that they will not introduce critical bugs in the next update or eliminate entirely (aka datasocket). In addition, when you identify obscure bugs/features with the Protocol, NOR will be adapted, but, chances are, you will not be able to get a concrete timetable on the fix. It is not very cool if it's the backbone of your system.

Because of the risks above, I started studying using TCP/IP primitives to make the set of our communication network. I have a theory that they are very stable and little evolutionary (except maybe for ipv6). Can someone save me from this?

  • Why do I get error 66 with cRIO and STM library after 6 hours

I have a RT (for the cRIO-9004 controller) software and a host software (on my development computer) which Exchange data through the STM library. Everything works fine, but after about 6 hours, the host stops with a message 'error 66 in STM Read Msg.vi'. Why does this happen? I use LV 8.2 and the STM 1.0.32 library.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi all,.

would it not possible to send your project RT together in order to test it. Make sure that the SubVIs are included. Thank you! Perhaps one of the possible reasons for your error is that your VI uses 100% of the capacity of the CPU for communication over TCP/IP breaks down due to a leak of resources, because the priority of the screw is higher. Check the use of the CPU resources when running.

  • Version no time real need for STM distributed Clients.lvproj example

    Hello

I'm looking at the example of distributed STM Clients.lvproj. However, I do not have access to a real-time system, I can't see the cRIO Controller 1 and Controller 2 elements cRIO. If I understand correctly, the Receiver.vi of the host is the server application, cRIO controllers must be customers. Specifically, I'm looking for the loop sending UDP messages to the host Receiver.vi, which is waiting for UDP messages systems of online.

I noticed that the UDP in the Receiver.vi of host loop corresponds to listening and Commands.vi recognize in the Messaging.lvproj spread of STM. I guess that Commands.vi Broadcast contains the UDP code that is used in the cRIO controllers, but I can't guess this example what is actually sent back in the distributed clients.lvproj STM example.

I would be grateful, if someone would kindly or convert one of the cRIO controllers in a version that is running on a system windows or just simply send me a copy of the UDP loop that is in there. Thank you very much for your help.

    Best regards

    Peter

Could you give a link to the project to which you are referring?

You can open the screw in real time without the RT toolkit, you can just open them directly from the target of RT in the project. Opening from the operating system (IE, a double click on the file) or their opening from the file-> the menu open in LabVIEW works perfectly. In addition, moving to display files in the LabVIEW project might allow you to see (I'm just guessing, but it's worth a try).

  • Error 1 with STM write metadata on PSC-2200

I have a request that I wrote for a PSC-2200 target which requires TCP communication. I chose the STM because it seems easy to work with and it worked fine up until now when I moved tests on windows-based computers using the real target.

Now, my application server (running on a windows machine) returns an "error 1" after "Write of STM meta data" when serving an application of the cFP-2200. I think this must have # or a square looking character that is placed in the string that is sent over TCP when the input of meta data array is converted using 'flatten' within the STM write metadata VI.

I've seen other messages dealing with this question for other targets but none for the cFP-2200. Does anyone know of any progress or workarounds? Maybe an upgrade of the target OS?

I have attached the related live. testdbmessagereceipt is the server, ask the client runs on the cFP-2200.

OK, nevermind. I had wired earphone to the STM ID write instead of the ID of the connection.

I wish the error comes to tell me what the problem was. It would have saved me a lot of time.

I was put to manual focus, so this isn't the issue. After the test series and a deeper investigation: it is a kind of Rolling Shutter, you can see a question similar here https://youtu.be/MQCMsdhlXC0?t=1m54s

  • a lens EF-S 55-250mm f/4-5. 6. IS STM will work on a powershot sx500?

    a lens EF-S 55-250mm f/4-5. 6. IS STM will work on a powershot sx500?

Yes, it looks like one of my chipmonks lol

You can see how it performs your depth of field considerably long distances. Youshouln can't still need in most cases with this power zoom. You might need a tripod unless your super stable.

It is a generic TV converter I don't see any listed for your model, I have the similar to your SX50HS. I use adapters to mount a 2 X tele-converter that Ive had for a former model Powershot to mine, but only on close shots with zoom, very little.

    I found with 50 X zoom that I don't need.

  • Is it safe run of ATMs with Windows XP after April 8, 2014?

Microsoft will end support for Windows XP in April 8,2014. They are encouraging to switch to the latest operating systems of Microsoft, for security and the other reason. Now, in this condition, I found that almost all ATMS (ATM) using Windows XP or earlier operating system as their operating system. My question is that is - this safe to use Windows XP after April 8, 2014?

    Thank you all.

Probably not.  After April 8, 2014, Microsoft will no longer be security patches, so any vulnerability discovered after that date will remain available to be exploited.  Of course, the ability to attack a computer usually depends on it to be accessible on the Internet.  If the ATMs are connected via a secure private network, the Bank may believe that they are "pretty sure".  I wouldn't trust to such a bank.

  • Lens STM on the 60 d?

Very new to DSLR Canon, have a new 60 d body and he would buy STM 18-55 lens but camera store guy says that it does not work with the 60 d. What goals are correct for the camera. I want to start with 18-55, until I'm finding things. I've worked with big cameras HD docs, but I have not touched a SLR or DSLR for years.

    Hi, jaymack!

The Canon EOS 60 d is compatible with all EF-S Canon EF lenses.  This means that the camera will indeed use the lens EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 STM IS lens, right out of the box.

    We hope this helps!

  • EF-S 55-250mm F4-5. 6 objective IS STM

The EF-S 55-250mm F4-5 goal. 6 objective IS STM can be used for macro. The resin I ask is because I'm new to the macro and don't know if I'm going to enjoy it. So, I don't want to get a lens that is dedicated for the moment. So I thought that if I use this lens for this I can use it also for other things too good expecially if I decided to not browse the macro or if I do not want it can still serve a perpus.

I just tried my 55-250 mm STM with my extension tubes and the results of the Macro are very good.

Do a search on ebay for "Canon Auto Extension Tubes" and there are all sorts of them available for as little as $20.

    EBay Auto extension tubes

Here is the non cropped photo taken with my 55-250 of STM of a quarter of the USA which is actually larger than 1:1 lifesize

  • DOES THIS EXIST: EF-S 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6 IS - STM VERSION?

    Hello!

I currently have the lens EF-S 18-55mm IS STM and EF-S 55-250mm STM IS objective. I'm about to go on a journey very full to bursting and will not have the time to constantly move my lenses back and forth.

Ideally, I would like the EF-S 18-200mm lens, but in a version of the STM... which still exist?

The Canon Website does not always list their latest models.

The alternative (for not having to change my goal, but have the 18mm start and a best 55mm zoom) lens EF-S 18-135mm IS STM would. Are there other objectives that I'm missing a wider scope than this (VTS version)?

I like to keep the beginning of the range about 18 mm.

Also, I'm not for anything over $ 500... I know that these expensive lenses exist.

    Thank you!!

No version of the STM. Tamron 18-270 Google.

  • Lens EF-S 18-55mm 1: 3. 5 - 5.6 IS STM will not mount on camera 6 d

    Lens EF-S 18-55mm 1: 3. 5 - 5.6 lens of the STM will not go up on camera 6 d.

You must understand the relationship between your 18-55 lens & how it acts on the bodies of harvest that it was designed to adapt. It has a smaller path of light because the harvest have a small sensor & gives a similar ratio of the image of what a lens 1.6 times more time on a full body frame. It is not a full frame 18-55, but if there was it would be 18 X 1.6, which is 28 mm to 55 X 1.6 = 88 mm so you would look to about a 28-90 lens, BUT it will be physically larger & heavier.

It also helps explain it a little.
