Attach an external call to an internal event

I created a new internal event I try to call 2 existing external calls to use in a program. When I go to add an existing external call, I don't get the option to select the 2 calls I want. I can't find any documentation on how to implement internal events and external calls.

Any help or reading material would be appreciated.

Hey, Robert,.

How did you create these external calls? Only calls from a particular internal event will be available for this event. Create the outside call by selecting the drop down in an internal event > "create a new external event". In other words, the external calls won't be assignable to the internal event, he was created under. (see screenshot)

  • Custom internal events?

    Hello

I create custom internal events and I want to use in the program generator for the update CRM program.

    I have some doubts

    My first doubt is

    1. I'm not able to use the default event in the update CRM programs. Get there or I'm facing this problem only?

2 - when I create custom event for partner campaign, it only shows "last SFDC campaign ID" card with 'Campaign ID', but if I create external call with default internal event it displays "Campaign ID" field card with "campaign ID". Why this is happening?

3 - Suppose I created the custom event that is associated with campaign manager and mapped 'campaign ID' to 'last SFDC ID campaign. "

one - and now I have three active campaigns, my all three campaigns are driver program that helps me associate campaign.

b he has even contacts that I added to the campaign.

c now the thing is if someone has submitted the form through Country1, the ID of the last campaign SFDC will be Country1, and if the same person submits the form from 2 then the last campaign SFDC ID will be 2.

d I want to associate lead even with all three campaigns automatically.

e If the id of the campaign takes the value of the ID of the last campaign SFDC then how will I be able to associate led to three different campaigns at the same time?

I would like to know if someone does not understand my concern.

    Any help will be appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

Right - program Builder uses "Custom Events" default "internal events" just happen and are not triggered by PB

Custom events using level contact (or perspective, business, card data) fields and not the system as internal events.

Some ways of inheritance to do this, use the 'rules of campaign response' to trigger the internal events for the campaign response.  You will need to maintain a list of Member default campaign status values and define the rules first. (page 31 of the administration_guide_-_Campaigns_v1 [1].3_Oct_2009.pdf)  I don't know if he has done to Topliners - you can always ask MOM (the site uses dynamic content Eloqua of rules so actually, you have to fill out a form to trigger an email to see content - sorry.)

  • Lync 2010 - different tone for internal vs external calls

Is there a way to Lync 2010 to make a distinction between internal vs external calls? Now, if you are already online, you get a beep if a call comes in to the general response group or if it comes from an internal caller.  How can I configure the system so that people can make a difference? All suggestions will be useful!

  • Can I create external call to create the campaign?

    Hello

Can I create an external call to create the campaign in SFDC?

I want to create an external call by that I have to go to sfdc and create the campaign.

Can this process be automated like this, I create a campaign in Eloqua > put the name of the campaign, the campaign id and the type of campaign he in settings > fill these values in the countryside in Eloqua himself. > and when the external call runs, a SFDC creates a proper campaign.

I think it may seem like a dumb question but I just want to check whether it is possible or not?

Activate the internal event for 'Create campaign', change the mapping for the external call.

Then create the campaign, check the box "Sync with CRM", save, go get a cup of coffee.  Do not change the campaign until you see the ID external populated campaign.

Once the synchronisation with SFDC has arrived, you can add elements of your canvas.

  • Problem in the outgoing external call

    Hello

I am facing a problem in creating an outgoing external call. I want to spend campaign / members of the campaign to the instance of salesforce, but when I create an external call to do this I get only 2 options i. e. are deleted and retrieve details of action in the second step, the previous options such as create, update do not come. Can someone help me with this?

    Thank you and best regards,

    Jocelyne

    Hi Jocelyn,

There are two types of external calls in Eloqua... PUSH (which sends information to the CRM) and calls SWEATER (that pull information from the CRM). When you create a PULL call, your only options will be "deleted" and "recover". It seems that this is what you have tried to create. PUSH calls will have options for 'create' and 'update '.

To create an external PUSH call, you must associate it with an internal event (pre-existing or you can create a new one), and then select the option to create an external call from nex.

    I hope this helps!

  • Update the internal event address field?

It seems that an internal event can only trigger an external call. Is it possible to have the internal event update to a contact field in addition to trigger the external call?

    Hi Tom

While an internal event cannot update a contact field, depending on what you are trying to accomplish, we can use update rules to fill the contact fields.

For example, if the 'event' is open e-mail, you can create a filter to capture all contacts who have opened one/all email, it fuels a program that will run a update rule to push a certain value in a particular contact field.

What is the use case? I'm sure we could find other solutions too.

  • External calling MeetMe disconnects

    Hello

I wonder if it is possible to have an external caller questioned a number of meetme a DID or via a transfer?  I have the meetme conference Setup using call Mangager 8.6 w / 2901 as a bridge of conference material, and it works with the internal phone.  But when I try to use a DID and translate the call into a meetme conference number it connects, I hear the beep and then disconnects the call.

    Any suggestions?

    Thank you

    Dan.

Or the other option works, you probably want to debug the exact reason for the disconnection.

Make sure that you actually use the SFBC HW with good active codecs.

  • Outgoing external calls for SalesForce

    Hi people,

I currently have the integration between Eloqua and Salesforce, when a contact Eloqua gets updated an Eloqua form and submitted, he asks a program (that I put in priority mode) that then sends the contact in a domestic event, which in turn calls an external call. The external call has its 'this call by delaying' the value 0 hours. Am I wrong in thinking that, once that he reached that stage i.e. once its sent to the external call to the program) the call and the update for SalesForce should happen fast enough? It seems to take time before it is updated in SalesForce? If I test the external call to Eloqua using the external 'test call' and I run the test, it will update SalesForce very quickly. Am I missing something, or is it still a delay? The customer is not happy with the time it takes to update SalesForce and in some cases it takes that long that the SalesForce AutoSynchs to Eloqua are overwrite the initial changes that Eloqua should have made SalesForce, i.e. the outgoing original.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Kind regards

    Andrew Mc.

So it seems the longer period of delay is when I look at the State of the integration and see pending updates. I can see my contacts here, but it takes a while before the update, and then update SalesForce. Get in touch with Eloqua they stated:

«All external outgoing calls (updates of Eloqua of Salesforce) are queued in the "first come first served '.» That said, waiting times generally cannot be more than 10 to 20 minutes of average. "and also"all calls that are added to the queue will be executed, without worrying if there is new data to be updated or not. Slowdowns are based on server load times. In heavier server load times, time queue/updates also takes more time. As soon as the external call is executed (i.e. through program generator), it enters the queue. Note that 17 minutes is not unusual for higher volume calls (contact update or update of lead). »

It seems that there is no way to make a faster

  • Replay in bulk external calls failed

Is there a way to restart the external calls in bulk?  According the report, you can run up to 50 calls at the same time.  Sometimes there may be 100 or 1000 call failed. What is the best way to revive these?

OK, so how to do, it's using a new tool under the advanced options for bulk reset events.  See

Setup > integration > reports > integration Reporting > Advanced Options > in bulk of reset events

This will allow you to raise up to 5000 calls and not just 50 records at the same time as the manual method. Let me know if you have any questions about this process.

Yay!  5000 is much better than 50.

  • Windows 7 professional XP Mode - does not recognize external USB drives or internal DVD drive

I recently bought a new Toshiba laptop and ordered computer configured with Windows 7 Professional that I can use the XP mode for some older programs.  Virtual Mode and XP mode work well, but the computer will not recognize the USB external storage drives or internal DVD player.  This prevent me to save and transfer any file I'm working on in XP mode.  Anyone know what I have to do to make the computer recognize USB drives and DVD drive internal when I'm running in XP mode?  Thank you!!

    Hello David,.

    Thanks for the quick response.

Yes, it's a Microsoft Product, but there specific departments assigned to the people where they have more expertise, this is the reason why we have asked you to post your query in the TechNet where this issue is very discussed.

    Hope this information helps.

  • External call in the program generator

    Hello

What happens if a call fails in a program?

Contact moves on the program, or keep it in the same step?

No, external appeal, it remains in the same step. It continues to move and you will be able to see the failure of the external call statistics in the integration of Reporting.

the contacts will get removed from the program, but you will be able to understand reports of integration.

I would like to know if you find a better way to do it.

  • Problem to update SFDC data through an external call... no idea...?

I have an external call which update SFDC with data stored in a CDO. When I manually test our external appeal, which works fine and its the SFDC data updates.

However when the program is run automatically it never update the records of SFDC.

    Any suggestions...?

    Kind regards
    Alok

    Hi Alok,

Do you have you old modification program and has not changed the custom object records?

Because we had this same issue and that time "the next logical step in my program who has sent cards of CDO to the external trigger assessed a field old and named in a similar way on the CDO."

  • No internal event for e-mail, click on? Huh? Can create you your own customer internal events?

In the case that I inherited 1.5 years ago, there seems to be no internal event for Click-through Email?

Is there a reason why it would not exist? You would just use the activity of the person hitting the tracks page instead? What happens if you link off the coast to a page that is not the subject of a follow-up?

Can I create my own internal event?

    Anyone?

I ask because we are moving to a new model where our SFDC and Oracle DB are 1:1 and we heavily use events to create tasks for our team out to act on telequal.

Yes, by default, there should be the usual set of internal events of activity - Email Bounce, Open Email, send Email, click email through, Email subscribe, E-mail Unsubscribe, form submit, Hypersite visit, visit the Web site, etc.

  • Why is there no option to send notifications by e-mail on external calls task?

Whenever Eloqua creates a certain type of task, I need the external call to send an e-mail notification to the rep.  Why external calls task do NOT have the option of e-mail notification checkbox? See screenshot below.  Is there a way to force or to obtain this added option for task calls?   Any thoughts, Topliners?  Thanks in advance!

    external-call-eloqua.png

Update on this post: I called support Eloqua and currently, they do not have the functionality to send notifications by e-mail for Eloqua 9 integrated tasks. There is no way to get this custom built/added either.  I then spoke with my SFDC administrator to see if there was a way to have SFDC auto brand e-mail notification area once a task with a certain subject line has been crossed to SFDC. He did some research and it seems that if Eloqua does not have a certain feature, SFDC won't it no more.  So there is currently no way to get tasks marked notifications to auto-email.
