Attach multiple batteries on a desktop and a user

I'm testing App Volumes 2.9 and 6.2 of the Horizon, and I have a pile with all default applications that our users would get (java, flash, Adobe Reader, Chrome, etc.). I had some problems with Chrome crashing when I joined it via the username, so I decided to attach it to the computers OU Office were in and everything worked great since. However, now if I join another pile of user-specific application, it never gets home. I tried to restart, redial, etc. But if I attach it to the computer, it works. Once I attach a pile of application to a computer that I lose the ability to attach another user? If so, I feel that I will return to a deployment type Thinapp which I wanted to get away from. Any idea would be appreciated... Thank you!

Hello

It is not possible to attach appstacks for user objects and computer.

Maybe in the next version, I hope.

    Yes.

Under the terms of the CC license, you can have active programs installed and works on both machines.

You can actually installing them on an infinite number of machines, but your license/activation is good for two. You just close one before connect you on a third.

  • Is it possible to attach multiple files to a contact in the address book?

I stopped using WinPIM for our small business when I paid for the sync option and it has stopped working. Because the devs don't understand much English, I could never solve this problem. I discovered on Thunderbird and go to calendar/address book/email program.

The only thing missing to make it a PIM for business, it's that you should be able to attach multiple files to a contact. Currently, I am using the photo upload to join estimate/job a customer. But if the customer calls for additional work or in the case of entrepreneurs, we must be able to set each worksheet in contact with the contractor.

    A way to do this?

UPDATE: I think I found a way to do it. I can reach the estimate for the event file created for the appointment. However, I have a problem because the Windows Photo Viewer is not an .exe file and Thunderbird allows you to choose an application program to associate to open the attachment. I tried to find Windows Media Center, but it does not under Program Files or Program Files x 86, even though I know that it is installed on my Windows 7 laptop, as it appears as an option for default programs for images.

I'd appreciate any help I can find a way to open these without having to use Adobe Photoshop (my only other option).

  • All user accounts Windows XPrestricted open all of a sudden 'Map network drive' by clicking on the desktop and the "research" by clicking on any folder

    Hello

you have a problem with my Windows laptop that left me speechless.

I would really appreciate if someone could provide a solution or any ideas where to start fixing this, as I get close to return to the previous backup full system, but reluctant to do so as I have never done it before so I'm worried if it really works as supposed (Macrium and Ping).

    1. description of the problem

All users of Windows XP (SP3) restricted accounts open all of a sudden 'Map network drive' by clicking on the desktop and the "research" by clicking on any folder, including My Documents.

However, all accounts administrator work as before and also user accounts work like so usual, they are included in the Administrators group, with respect to the clicks of the workstation and records.

In addition, the correct icons for 'Drive' and 'Record' are visible when connected as long as administrator but lacking when logged as long as user restricted when you check the file associations by "open the folder and then click on Folder Options in the Tools menu.» Click the registry file types list. »

    2 solution unsuccessful attempts

    2. google and tried the solution to manually change the registry entries from Microsoft: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/321186

    "
Start the editor of the register (Regedt32.exe).
Look for, and then click the default value under the following registry keys if this problem occurs with folders:
    HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\shell
If this problem occurs with drives:
    HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Drive\shell
Click on edit in the Edit menu.
Type 0 in the value data box, and then click OK.
    Exit the registry editor.
    "

(Fixit associated meanings has also not working for some reason, says that the Windows Installer does not run, don't know if the same problem...)

    2B. and then also tried the fix "regsvr32 /i shell32.dll" at http://blog.chron.com/helpline/2005/10/double-click-opens-search-instead-of-folder/.

After these steps, the registry under "Drive" and "Directory" information are as attaché at the end read somewhere there should be a "find" under lock and key, as I have, but don't know if the subkeys under 'Search' are what causes weird behavior.

If anyone knows and could provide what the values for the registry values must be in a system that works, would be nice to compare to possible problems.

Unsuccessfully, with what precedes, to solve the problem, but noticed through that:

2 c. When you are logged in as administrator, I am able to see and modify the registry keys concerned with regedit, considering that when logged in as a regular user, I get an error that translates roughly as "the key could not be opened [consultation]?.» Error in opening the key. "for"Default icon"and subkeys 'shell' to 'Drive' and some subkeys under"shellex ".

Oddly enough, this is also the case even if I "Run with" regedit as a user belonging to the Administrators group when logged in as a limited user.  Could be the mechanism of Windows registry access.

Noticed that the small group 'Users' did not have access to "Drive". Grant read access, even as the "directory" and other registry keys next to them, for "users".

Now see the values of registry as a limited user, but the problem persists. Do you really know what to try next, after spending hours Googling for answers.

3 computer laptop environment and other factors

    3. don't know if it's related, but perhaps that coincides the time and the possible reason of sage:

I had the problem two days ago described in "account Administor doesn't have access to some files and registry entries" to http://www.experts-exchange.com/OS/Microsoft_Operating_Systems/Windows/XP/Q_27415496.html.

Zone alarm free firewall prevented changing the key of HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microdsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run.

Which was fixed as in the article above tweaking of Zonealarm settings so that changes are allowed.

    3. the environment of the laptop:

    Acer Travelmate 8204 laptop

Windows XP SP3 with virtually all updates of installed Microsoft.

Recent issues (related?) with the .NET Framework 4 updates and the repair facility. FixIt against MS to install MS Update and the Application works and reveals no problems, but the settings from-> Panel-> Add or Remove Applications said that it cannot change or delete NET Framework 4.

ZoneAlarm Free Firewall version: 11.0.000.057, prevented possible culprit get earlier access to the registry, uninstall?

Norton Antivirus version recently installed 20.3.1.22, possibly in conflict with ZA or bug?

It seems that I managed to solve the problem on my own. Did two things:

1 set the registry keys determine programs associated objects 'Répertoire', 'Drive' and 'File' to the default values by using the settings found here: http://www.dougknox.com/xp/file_assoc.htm

    HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\
    HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Drive\
    HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Folder\

    2. If you want to have permissions for group 'Users' to read all these keys in the registry. For some reason any access worked only partly for standard users.

Not sure who finally solved this problem, but after I had finished 1. and 2. for the purpose of 'Record', by clicking on 'My computer' and any folder works normally for all users of the computer.

I suspect that some recent installation of program which adds actions associated with these objects messed up the registry. Suspects are Norton Antivirus and dbPowerAmp.

Thanks for the suggestions for this problem!

  • Records that I put on my desktop and have deleted now keep reappearing on my desk

    original title: remove Office folder

Keep records that I put on my desktop and have deleted now reappear on my office - and I can't remove permenantly, why?

    Hi Meghmala,

Just to keep you up-to-date and informed...

I contacted MS support and had a wonderful guy named Alex help me.

All other Anti virus software could not find this particular Trojan horse. :(

Security Essentials and also Malwarebytes found no Trojan horse that was attached to a cookie to follow up on one of the files.

We ended up scanning using http://www.surfright.nl/en/hitmanpro - who found and removed.

After that, a quick scan with Security Essentials - a complete stop and restart - and no longer reappear files/folders which I have since deleted.

    Now, all my problems disappeared.

Thank you for your help and support, and if anyone else has this problem I did - there is a solution :)

  • Cannot attach multiple photos to send

    attach multiple photos to send

    Hello

You can easily join several files to your email. Generally, all e-mail services provide this facility. But if you are unable to do so, then you can also try to zip together all your photos into a single file compressed using programs such as WinZip or WinRar and then attach the compressed file to your email.

    1. Download WinRar from this link: http://download.cnet.com/WinRAR-32-bit/3000-2250_4-10007677.html
    2. Copy all your photos in one folder.
    3. This folder using WinRar then zip
    4. Attach the compressed file.
  • Suggestion: Add the ability to spedify default applications for modern desktop and "apps".

One of the things that makes the Windows 8 experience feel jarring is the constant flipping between the office and the 'metro' style applications, especially when opening for example attachments to electronic mail, etc.

Can you not an engineer (perhaps under a set of advanced options for default programs) a way to have both configured 'default' programs, when opening a file or an attachment to the desktop environment, and the other for when opening a file or an attachment of an APA 'metro '. This will become even more useful as developers to provide desktop computers and their applications ' metro' versions.

For example, I'm in Outlook to send and open a PDF file. By default, it turns back to the app full screen (metro style) of Microsoft Reader, which is far from ideal.

If, instead, I set the default PDF for Adobe Reader desktop drive, then it's better from Outlook. However, if I use a file browser in the metropolitan area or open an attachment, and then it comes back on the desktop to open it - that feels almost like a seamless experience.

That kind of capability is especially important around things like photos, videos and music as well as files PDF - but would also help in other areas, for example WinZip (where they offer desktop and applications of metro style) and I am sure than others to go forward.

It would be difficult to apply, but I don't think it's impossible.  But just my opinion here, I think that in most cases, people are not using the metro and the office.  If you are on a workstation, you probably only use Outlook and Adobe and all other office applications and never use metro file browser.  If your default program will be a desktop program.  But if you have a Tablet, you will probably not use the office. If your default program would be the metro application.

I don't really feel like Microsoft for you allows you to switch backwards between the two experiences, because (as you say) it's very shocking.  But you (the user) are in control of that.  You would probably have a better experience if you just stuck to the one who is the most suitable for you.

It is a point that I do not understand when people say they want it to work like Windows 7.  Except for the start menu, there is nothing doesn't stop that. You could put the programs and the shortcut on your desktop icons and the taskbar that you want and you will never see Metro again.

Just my thoughts anyway.  I feel as if the switch is jarring (who he really is), do not switch. Stay in the most appropriate to your hardware and your preferences.

  • Timing of Lightroom Mobile - Desktop and laptop problem

I'm using Lightroom Mobile to sync files between my desktop and my laptop. Initially I got sync errors when I tried to sync the photos in a collection. Then I did the following:

    1. Lightroom preferences desktop > Lightroom Mobile > "delete all data".
    2. Stop Office Lightroom and delete the folder sync.lrdata

I was finally able to synchronize the pictures on my desk.  When I log in Lightroom Mobile on my laptop, it gives me the message on the use of a catalog at a time. Asking if I want to delete and use the catalog in force or not to delete. No matter what I choose, once it is says synchronized none of the collections or pictures appear in my collection on my laptop. BUT if I chose to delete the catalog and then gets cut my connection on my desktop and I can no longer be synchronized on my desk. Then I have to go through all the steps listed above in order to synchronize again.

Maybe I don't understand exactly how it is supposed to work. I guess that once a computer synchronizes a collection successfully then once a different device of the computer/mobile synchronizes with the same account credentials so that the collection appear in the new collection of devices list? Is this correct? Or am I missing something here?  What I have to share somehow photos or something?

    Thank you

    Shawn

Mobile synchronization between different office/computer machines is not yet supported.  But you can synchronize between multiple mobile devices. -Guido

  • Attach multiple behaviors to a sprite?

Hi I'm sort of a newbie to the Director and Lingo, and I was wondering can I attach multiple behaviors to a sprite

When I did, it moves only sprites

I want sprites first edit members, for animation

Then I want them to move in different directions, so having distinct behaviors

    Here is my code:

THIS BEHAVIOR CHANGES THE MEMBER FOR THE ANIMATION AND WORKS FINE WHEN ATTACHED TO SPRITES:

    Global

    on beginSprite me

    gvSprite = (me.spriteNum)

    end

    on exitFrame me

If sprite (gvSprite) .member = member("2") then

    Sprite (gvSprite) .member = member("3")

else if sprite (gvSprite) .member = member("3") then

    Sprite (gvSprite) .member = member("2")

    end if

    end

    (1) THIS BEHAVIOR IS ATTACHED TO THE SPRITES I WANT TO MOVE LEFT

    global gvSprite

    on exitFrame me

    moveLeft

    end

    (2) THIS IS ATTACHED TO SPRITES I WANT TO MOVE TO THE RIGHT

    global gvSprite

    on exitFrame me

    moveRight

    end

    (3) THIS IS ATTACHED TO SPRITES I WANT TO MOVE LEFT

    global gvSprite

    on exitFrame me

    moveLeft

    end

    (4) IT IS THE MOVE SCRIPT

    global gvSprite

    on moveRight me

Sprite (gvSprite) .locH = sprite (gvSprite) .locH + 5

    end

    on moveLeft me

Sprite (gvSprite) .locV = sprite (gvSprite) .locV - 5

    end

When I tied 1 and 2 or 1 and 3 to a sprite, one of them moves

    all solutions?

THIS BEHAVIOR CHANGES THE MEMBER FOR THE ANIMATION AND WORKS FINE WHEN ATTACHED TO SPRITES:

    Global

    on beginSprite me

    gvSprite = (me.spriteNum)

    end

    on exitFrame me

If sprite (gvSprite) .member = member("2") then

I'm guessing that the line that begins "global" continues with "gvSprite". If Yes, then you set only a sprite as gvSprite: the sprite who most recently received a #beginSprite event.

Try changing this "property gvSprite" (and you'd like to replace all occurrences of gvSprite to pvSprite, where 'p' means 'property'.

    (4) IT IS THE MOVE SCRIPT

    global gvSprite

    on moveRight me

Sprite (gvSprite) .locH = sprite (gvSprite) .locH + 5

    end

    on moveLeft me

Sprite (gvSprite) .locV = sprite (gvSprite) .locV - 5

    end

Behaviors need not help of film scripts. You can put all the code inside the behavior.

Type this in your Message window:

    See the film 'http://nonlinear.openspark.com/tips/sprites/2behaviors.dir'.

-What are you trying to do?

Note that I used only two behaviors. When you drop the behavior of displacement on a sprite, it asks if you want the sprite to move to the left or to the right. I also used a list of members for the behaviour of members of change, it will be easy to add new members to the list. I set the rate of 2 frames per second, so that you have time to see everything that happens.

    Does that help?

  • Why FireFox 13 works differently on my desktop and laptops? On my desk, I have the old menu system that I prefer, but on my laptop, it's the new version.

13 Firefox is the browser by default on my desktop and laptop, however, they have different menu systems. Why?

On my desk, I have the old menu system that I prefer no doubt because everything is in English and easy to see and search. For example, on the menu desktop there a Tools option where I can quickly erase my history and cache.

But on my laptop, it's the new paradigm where several menu commands are hidden and difficult to find, therefore, I do not like this new design. I don't understand why Firefox made this change, when the old system was much better and more effective.

Is there a way I can get the old system menu back on my laptop?

    Thank you

    1. I'm not running XP, I use Win 7 on both systems.

    2. nothing happened when I pressed the ALT key, the menu bar does not show upward and I'm frustrated. However, I kept trying, hold the ALT key and finally he appeared. I then checked the menu bar, and it seems as if it worked.

    Thanks for your help.

Description of the problem: same problem on the computer desktop and laptop at the same time began: cannot install Windows updates (has no status)

No hardware changes or software recently made to the system: I followed the usual procedure to install Windows updates.

    Method of connection: wireless

    Technical expertise: intermediate level

Performed troubleshooting: because the error # 80071 A 90 type indicated by the system, I followed the instructions of Windows Help and Support, for example to run Microsoft Fix it which did not work; a more advanced method has also been used, who recommended to start Windows Update in Mode safe, then open Windows Update and install the updates and then restart normally. At this point, the problem was that any stage of Windows Update was available.

    Hello amib004,

As much as I know, only Windows Update cannot be run in safe mode. That being said, I saw where install several updates may conflict with each other. Try to disable all updates installation and install the updates failed one at a time.
