  One of the options I can think of is creating mount points on the boxes of unix and then using the File adapter.

  Hi all

  A business unit asked me if it is possible to use OBIEE as a distribution tool for one of their pdf monthly reports they generate for our company.

  There are about 500 reports per month and each report will be visible by the business as it relates to.

  Given, there is no real "bulk upload" solution for OBIEE (yet?), I thought that it would be possible to set up a batch to load the files on the server in a folder that is visible for weblogic.

  From there on, I created an analysis that generates dynamically a html link that uses the date value out of a prompt of date and the unit value of the user's session variables.

  Once they have clicked on the link, it opens their report date... HOWEVER, the information in the URL are very clear and for everything, even half of the tech users, a simple change of business unit in the URL, will provide another report (big no no).

  Any suggestions on this one?

  I am happy to re look at my entire solution, but I thought maybe an action link or GO the URL could be used?

  Last spring could do you something like...

  Instead of naming your files/folders as the business unit, could scramble the unit name or number based on some number of seeds or the formula? I assumed it would be easier if he were a unit number cases that has been used in the name of the file. If your batch file downloads and makes a formula on the unit number business to make the somewhat random file name.

  OBIEE then uses the same formula, when generating the link

  They will have to understand the formula to find code from another unit. Looks like that would be enough for what you're trying to reach.

  Is there a way to transfer files from UNIX (Oracle database) server, to Windows server? AFAIK if path of Windows. I am able to read the file because it is on the server, but it does not recognize the Windows directory at all.

  You can download this PL/SQL package to FTP in PL/SQL. It is old, but still needs to do the job. Do not forget that in 11g, an ACL must be created to allow the code to access the network.

  An alternative is to a Unix script ftp script and run (as an external process) using DBMS_SCHEDULER.

• Best way to move the file from one server to another VM

  We will soon be moving on ESX3.5 45 virtual machines on the same network to ESX4.0 on another network.  What is the best/best way to move these files?  The original network, the files are stored locally on the server and run ESX3.5i.  However, on the other network, data warehouses are on a San and the ESX hosts are in a cluster.  Both networks are in the same physical location and can meet.  I guess I can do it from the CLI of in ESX?

  If you have two hosts in vCenter Server, you can move the virtual machines without Storage vMotion (Powered-off VMs).
  It is not necessary that both hosts have access to the San using cold migration.

• How to retrieve deleted files from a server?

  I didn't know where to put this, especially so if someone could direct me to the correct forum, as well, that would be fantastic.

  Brief summary of the situation:

  I work for a small business that keeps all our files very important (relevant to the management of the company) on an external server. Recently, we had a tragic accident with this server, I won't go into the details on. We have a backup to the server, but there are some very important files missing from the backup, which was were probably deleted.

  Is it possible to recover the files from the backup server or originality? If so, how could we get all this?

  The server is connected via ethernet, and backup is a 12 TB of LaCie 2big Thunderbolt 2 (RAID). Unfortunately, the backup has been disconnected and leaves his home of origin for our main computers, and I understand now that may have ruined our chances, but is it possible that we could recover the deleted or removed files?

  (If this is useful at all, we use the iMacs running OS X El Capitan)

  If the files were not saved, then no, you can't recover their backup.

  In regard to retrieve them from the server itself, it is impossible to say that we have no idea of what past or what condition the disks used to store the actual data are in.

  You can engage a data recovery service, which will cost some serious $$$, but if the data is really important, it's what you need to do.

  Muse allows you layout of your Web site, and then generates the code so that you don't have to. Impossible to import the code implemented in muse.

  Next time, install google reader on your computer and save your muse files to that!

• SMP-N100 will not play VAC/.m4a files from DLNA server but will play them to USB storage device.

  When I try to access my iTunes music files located on my Windows 7 laptop, my Sony SMP-N100 sees files, but the labels 'LCMP', even if these are CCA/.m4a files. When I try to play these music files, Media Player tries to do and eventually times out the claim that the file is corrupt or the wrong format.

  When I copy the music files (and keep the same directory/folder structure) on a key USB a plug in the front USB port on the SMP-N100, Media Player sees thin files and labels like "ACC" and plays perfectly.

  By tables of supported media, published by Sony, VAC/.m4a files are supported USB and DLNA, and yet they do not seem to work on DLNA.

  I use a wireless connection to my network. I have an available Ethernet cable, but when I tried to use it yesterday, I couldn't figure out how to turn off the wireless and I ended up finding duplicates the error messages from my firewall IP. I use ESET Smart Security. I disabled and music play via DLNA with no different results.

  I use Windows Media Player as my DLNA server and I went through all the settings in it. I could be missing something, but I can't find anything that says nothing other than what I have already addressed in the configuration of the Server DLNA WMP.

  I'm willing to try a direct connection between my laptop and the N100 but do not know how I would do. Ethernet? Crossover cable?

  I tried to use the Sony support Chat yesterday but the call ended when I couldn't provide the sampling frequency of the files (they are only supported up to 48 khz). Later, I found that iTunes displays the file sampling rates and mine are all<42>

  AAC files are not compatible for broadcast in the drive via DLNA.

  For RTMP: Try mapping to another server.

  For HTTP: Yesy you can change the DocumentRoot directive, but then it will search for content in this folder for all types of applications and not just HDS VOD.

  To configure only HDS - VOD, positioned on the HttpStreamingContentPath:

  Change this HttpStreamingContentPath '... / webroot/vod " to HttpStreamingContentPath" C:/hrvideos "

  Note that the location is now absolute and oblique. Likewise, you can put in a network address.

  I try to install PB Toolkit 2.5 on Windows. I have 2.1 installed. I'm going to

  Before you install the 2.5 PB Toolkit, I'm told to 'follow the steps in the Readme of difficulty of Pixel Bender Toolkit 2.1 install'

  Same thing for hotfix installers, Windows and Mac. These files do not seem to be anywhere else on the net, either.

  If anyone knows where these files now, please let me know.

  Toolkit 2.1 PB has a few bugs of sensational I just hand and hit the links dead only at this stage makes me more sad.

  I'm following the example of upload file in the CF help and it works fine. I can easily transfer a file to Server Web see only thing is, I need the file copied to another server.
