audio cd transfer to sansa e280

How can I transfer audio cd to sansa e280?

Yep, drag and drop them on the "rocket".

The subject line accidentally used a technical term.

Audio CD is used to designate the .wav files are commercially released CD.  An album on CD's often (like Audio CD) .cda files who run your computer for real songs .wav files.

"Rip" means convert (most often in .mp3). You already have mp3s. Someone has already pulled them.

When Windows Media Player asks you an Audio CD, this means a CD like those you buy in a store. When WMP asks you if you want to make an Audio CD, this means a CD of .wav files that will play on a portable CD player or home. Remember those? Current which will probably also play MP3s, but original CD players do not have.

  • Sansa e280: problem bad track/formatting (screenshots included)

Hello, I have had my Sansa e280 for a little less than a year now, and have not had any problems. recently, however, I met a block that prevented me from using my Sansa.

first of all, I turned off my Sansa one afternoon while listening to a certain title. minutes later I turn it back on to finish listening to it, and it gives me a message "Bad Track" and refuses to play. This message appears for more than half of the music that was on my Sansa (no one who has ever had this problem). I tried a few things common sense, as the withdrawal and replacement of the music. that did not help, the message was the same on the same tracks. so I removed all my Sansa music and went to the internet to find the problem.

most of the people with this problem are being told to format the Sansa. I followed the same steps several times to deal with the "this device cannot complete the format" or some nonsense. so currently, I had the original problem can only be fixed with something I can't do. In addition, my Sansa is on my desk in two pieces (I took the case off voltage and battery, nothing major).

In addition, I can't delete the video files that I have on my Sansa when I tried to manually empty my Sansa, it gives me an error in the sense of "the device cannot complete the task because it has stopped responding / is not connected.

Finally, I tried to do the other way of formatting, by starting it upward in the recovery and as a result a FAQ that I found on this site, but when I enter the removable disk in my computer, there is nothing there but a text of the document which essentially lists the details of the product.

to drag more far, here some screenshots are accompanied by more questions.

in the first note above, there are three songs, two from Rancid and one named ' AV74B8 ~ 1.MP3 '. I have no idea what is the last of them, or why he says that there is music on there - especially when I can restart it and go into the music folder and it says . Also note that they have a 0:00:00 duration.

circled in red are a ton of the same file, that too, I don't know what they are or how they did it.

Blue Square at the top, the "MUSIC" folder When I walk into this folder, it brings me to the next image

who is concerned, the same as the record in the first photo, just to show that images and not in the details. If I get the 'MUSIC' folder into this folder, it keeps looping to several records 'MUSIC '. is this a problem? I just thought it was weird

and here is a picture of my Sansa connected in recovery, there is no hidden files, I checked.

I hope this is enough information to get a response, because that's all that I can provide - please help, all entries is appreciate

You have corrupted files. You must run the command Chkdsk before attempting to format. The instructions are under #9 in the FAQsection. Also read # 12 everything in you'e it. ChkDsk will look for corrupted files and repair them (with a bit of luck). As much as you seem to have, you will need to format it after.

The reason why you were not able to format up to now is 1.) your files are too corrupt. They need to be repaired to the point where they can be deleted by formatting and 2.) It seems that if your player is in MTP mode. You must switch to MSC mode to format.

Don't worry, it's not as bad as it sounds. It's just that you'll have to re - load it all after formatting. If you have recently added a few songs just before this problem started, look in the ID3tags of songs with a program like MP3TAG before you put them on your player. If you have any strange characters or foreigners in here, especially in the COMMENTS section, delete them. The correct version of tag you want is ID3v2.3 ISO-8859-1. There are other versions, but this is one (the only) who will work on the Sansas.

If you have corrupted ID3tags and not corrected before re - load these files on your drive, you're going to do this whole procedure all over again. Just take it step by step and you will be OK.

  • Sansa e280

Hey. When iv downloaded the music from my laptop to my sansa e280 I cant find the music on the mp3 player, but when it is connected to my laptop, its top show here... And it seems freez sometime. Anyone has an idea on what could be the problem?

Thanks for giving my a recovery as soon as possible.

Is one of the music show up in the "Unknown" category in the lists (artists, Albums, Genres) on your drive?

Could bad or full-in information (or even total lack of) the ID3 tags of music files. This situation is also known to cause occasional freezes, too.

If the Sansa can't read the ID3 tag (corrupt characters or foreign or wrong format) to fill lists during the updating of the database, he doesn't know what to do so he just stops or crashes.

Remember, like any computer they are not too bright.

  • Sansa e280 is not usb mode in the menu settings and is not recognized by pc

My sansa e280 is recognized by my pc where it was originally regestered, but is not recognized by another identical pc. It also has no usb mode in the settings menu, so I couldn't use the suggested by forum solution.

Thank you very much! I understand it on my own through the main page of Sansa.com. Now, after the last firmware download it has 3 settings/USB modes: detect the DPW, msc and auto. Still no problem on my PC. The another, unfortunately, is 5000 miles away. Hope, it will work here, too. Thanks again.

  • Sansa e280 - unknown files - mp3tag.m3u is not supported

    Hello

I bought a sansa e280. First, almost all the files were unknown - I read the other reviews - downloaded mp3tag v2.42.a, modified to ID3v2.3 ISO-8859-1 as the replaced tags witl Ctrl + s. I copy, resulting in 'mptag.m3u is not supported. what I did wrong?

Another thing is unclear: How can I remove database?

    Thank you

    Peter

Just highlight all the tags and save them (as ID3v2.3 ISO-8859-1). You will see ID3v2.3 in parentheses.

.m3u is a playlist file, then maybe make a playlist with CTRL +. If that's what you want to do, you must save the playlist in the folder with MP3.

The data base in a v1 is the DATA folder in the SYSTEM folder. You must UN-hide the folders hidden in the Options of folders in Windows.

    The database in a v2 is mtable.sys.

  • Sansa e280: multiple paths to the devices during the synchronization and no MUSIC file

    Feature: Sandisk Sansa e280 8G

    version: 01.02.24A

I had a problem with my e280. A month ago, I started getting an error message during playback of my music files. The error says "Syncronize to continue music subscription" I have synced to my computer, nothing helps. Soon ALL my music files were giving me this error message. I went on the Sansa website, where I was directed to download and run the device Sansa Recovery Console. I did as instructed, and now when I join my e280, I get TWO paths of devices (E: / and F: /). I am only able to access one of them (E: /). F: / is noted as removable drive and not going anywhere. When I enter in E: / I can not find my music files. When I remove my camera, he did a restart of automatic system, as soon as the restart was successful, it updates the database for about 10 minutes. I synced the device and my computer prompted me to format the device. I formatted and I still no MUSIC file. The device has been wiped and I thought it would be best to seek professional help until I made the situation worse.

If there is any other information needed to tell me what it is and, in the worst case scenario, how to find and I'll post it as soon as POSSIBLE. I know it's a lot of problems for a single device, but any help at all would be greatly appreciated!

    Thank you for your time,

    Dibbz

Unless you are dealing with the Rhapsody subscription service, the error message "sync" is probably due to problems, DRM , Windows Media Player created without your knowledge. It is turned on by default in WMP, & unless you know about it from the start, you can do it yourself untold headaches.

If you are ripping from CD to the .wma format, uncheck the option 'Copy protect' in the rip settings tab. It's the guy causing the problem. If you do not rip your own CD and downloading these songs instead, they have a DRM encryption. Try a different and/or source format. MP3 files don't have any crippling DRM.

You must delete the files on the drive and start over with new, best non - DRM. If RIP you to .mp3 format, it won't be a problem, more there are other benefits on the Microsoft/WMP .wma format.

When connected in MSC mode, your computer will detect your drive as just another flash storage device; actually 2 separate devices. 1 will be your drive (internal memory). In your case, E:. F: received the external memory card slot, if there is a card in it or not. If you have no card in the slot, that's why he 'not going anywhere '. Perfectly natural and nothing bad here.

The MUSIC folder (and others) are hidden by default. You have to display .

Formatting will erase all content, so this is only necessary performed as a last resort. It's a PITA to re - load it all so that you do not want to unless it is absolutely necessary. But now that yours is formatted, you can start over w/o of the DRM BS and your problems should go away.

  • SanDisk sansa e280 V1 keeps looping (stucks) on the spalsh screen

    Hello

I had a serious problem with my Sandisk e280... The other day I was listening to just when all of a sudden my mp3 restarted without any warning... now it's keeps looping on the home screen (black screen and "Sandisk" in white letters). Normally after the splash screen, you will see the main screen (menu), but my screen goes white then leaves (splash screen).

    Someone at - it suggestions?

    Thankss!

    Try:

1 - holding the power button for 20 seconds to "reset". (and then turn it on)

2 - take the battery for 30-60 seconds, then put the file in

3 - switch to recovery mode, create a folder called "Sansa.fmt" and drop it onto the Sansa. It reformats itself when you turn it off. (DO NOT NEVER FORMAT the disc "16 MB format"!)

4-if those who do not work, sometimes the 'Chip RAM' wiggles loose. Please dissamble it, push it in firmly and try again. Photos and instructions are HERE.

  • Sansa e280 connects to the pc

    Hello

I searched on through the forum, but I can't find an answer... my e280 is version 2. It will not connect to any pc (although it worked fine 2 weeks ago). I tried all USB ports and tried the two sons. In the settings, it doesn't have a USB option so I can't change it to each MTP Meteorological Service of the Canada. I have reset the factory settings and formatted but neither makes a difference.

(Also, when I load it through plug it freezes often and I have to reset it and its timing is terrible - it adds time and loses time so I'll always have to re - set.)

    Help please?

FYI... I contacted Sansa tech support and they said that my drive was dead and replaced by a rocket.

  • Sansa e280: songs disappear

Tonight, when I unplugged in my e280 from my PC after downloading a few songs, all the songs on the device disappeared.

When I disconnected my player from my computer, the screen popped up with a message "refresh data", and then after that he did all the songs (except those preloaded) I had on the player disappeared. Some of the files that disappeared were moved to the unknown artist folder and are corrupt (they freeze my player every time that I select them). The news on the device indicates that memory is 7634 MB, free space is 3432 MB and the number of songs is 289. But all I can see are the preloaded songs and corrupted files of music a little more than a hundred. When I plugged the drive into my computer, the computer can see all the files of music very well, but when the player is disconnected there is nothing.

I had this unit in October 2007. I already have the latest firmware version1 for my player. And this law which disappears once before. But the last time about 300 songs were removed and about 200 were left on the drive. This time, all the songs have disappeared.

I don't want to go get another sansa, because the only new with enough GBs are physically too big and the only small sansas do not have enough GBs. This player was perfect for me. I just fixed it! Could someone please help?

    Thank you!

Too bad! I Redid the disk check, and everything is fine now. When I made it last night, I did it in read-only mode and that has not worked. The second time I did it, I chose 'Automatically fix file system errors', but that no longer works. Then this morning, I chose "will search for and attempt recovery of bad sectors" all the songs are back.

    Third time is the charm.

  • Sansa E280 going to update the database when it is connected to the computer

    Hello

Just at the moment where I was getting things straightened on my drive and everything was working fine, I plugged my E280 on my computer and it says "Refresh database" on the player and my computer does not see the E280.

I've been looking around on the forum, and there are so many different options to try (of: delete the SYSTEM folder, which I was told not; to turn off the drive and engaging the hold button and the button to rewind when connecting to the computer, etc., which I tried ~ nothing; take off Firmware and put one on; do something in Recovery Mode) , which I have no idea how do; etc.).  Sorry, but I hope you get my point... What do I do?

Thanks for any help once more.

Thank you clu31355.  I tried the very first thing that you said ' put in operation and allow it to update the database (if desired) before you connect. "and voila - it worked.

These Sansas seem to be quite ticklish - who knows what will happen?

  • Problems with Sansa e280 (8Gb) - lots and lots of problems!

Hi everyone, I tried looking for answers to this problem in forums and technical support, but since he seems to have worsened, I thought I'd see if anyone can help me.

My Sansa was bugged for a while, but finally stopped work and say "unable to load image" (as many others have known). I tried to download the update for Sansa, who was installed, but could not then find updates, even if my device is connected.

So I tried the manual way and downloaded the firmware myself. At this point, I could always go into recovery mode. I transferred files and unplugged the unit. He seemed full of hope, he was installing but the screen went black and the blue ring stays on. For a time looong.

Now the only thing that he meets is the power button, which when pressed, gives the ring to go blue and the screen do nothing. Recovery mode will not work. Is there something to what I can do? In another post, someone suggested that the battery might help - thoughts?

Thanks a lot for any help

Right... After using this site as a guide, I can confirm that my Sansa is well and truly fixed. Back from the dead! Now I understand why people like Linux

Best of all, he glided FM Radio over there - that wasn't there to begin with!

    Thanks for your help Jamieson

  • Sansa E280 unable to Format disk. Need HELP!

    Hey ho Sansa users,.

So! Here's my dilemma. I got my Sansa for 2 1/2 years. So far, no problem. Recently even though I was starting to have some funky things happening, the noise turning randomly on its own or the song randomly jumping, not much, only occurred once in a blue moon. Now that about a couple of weeks, for some reason strange, downloaded other titles on my drive, as usual and after playing a few times very well, they began to get damaged. Aka. The sound would be cut in the headphones, and then slowly back through static, or the song would stop playing altogether and there would be a mermaid acute start sounding in my helmet. I had some problems with my Sansa before and the guy I spoke to said to format the hard drive. So, I tried to format the hard drive, but it says unable to complete the format. In addition, for some reason that disk space is showing the player as being empty, but when I look in the hard drive (in browser windows) there is always as 50 active files that I deleted (or tried to remove) like 7 times and each time that they keep reappearing. I updated my firmware, but it still doesn't seem to work or I want to erase the disc.

    Thoughts?

    Any help is greatly appreciated!

    Mojo

Looks like you have some seriously damaged files.

Make sure that (under settings/USB Mode) you are to the CSM.

    Try chkdsk

If this does not work, then try again shaping and keep an eye on every step. When you get the message "cannot format"?

  • Sansa e280 v2 dilemma - have the last firmware update

Here's something I didn't know.  I use the USB - MSC mode and try to sync to the computer - I no longer receive a screen that gives me the possibility of "non-action" with the red circle and line through it.  I used to be able to copy / paste of my C drive on drive E to download music.  Now, I get a screen that gives me the option to open with Explorer, win media, acrobat from adobe, wordpad, etc., which none do let me open the Sansa to copy and paste as I used to do.

I tried the trick of the hold and touch start up rew button.  The computer recognizes the sansa as drive E and F as a flash drive (even if it is that nothing installed as a reader of F).  Quite confusing.  Most would appreciate some tricks of the trade...

Tapeworm... it was the auto run after all settings.  Problem solved.  MUCHAS gracias!
