Audio not pause slide.

Using Captivate 6.  Presentation has audio on every slide.  On a slide, I have added a click with porperty box to "slide to break up what the user clicks" and go to the next slide.  However. the blade stops, but the sound continues to the next slides.  How I stop the audio when the blade stops, then resume when the user clicks the click box?

Thanks for the "suspicion".  I attached the audio track for the click box (and not the blade) and set the Audio property
Stop when paused.  Who did the trick.  Thank you... Tom

    Question

    -Slide break interactions

-But NO video slide (.) MP4)

Content of the tip Action :

MP4 Video is NOT suspended with the timeline because it has its OWN script.

Recode video in F4V format and now it stops with the slide.

  • How can I interrupt audio on the slide when the user selects the wrong answer

    Hello world

I tried to find a way to pause audio into a slide when the user does NOT click on the click box.

I put a text caption, an audio file (1) and click box that has an audio (2). The user must choose a suitable location on the slide, if they err, a legend, failure, which includes an audio object (2) is displayed. The problem occurs when the user wants to answer the question before the end of the audio (1). If they get the right answer that's fine, but if the answer is incorrect, the two audio files overlap. I have a recon, I'm looking for a solution where audio (1) is paused or stopped if the user gets the wrong answer. Could someone me referring to the best way to overcome the problem?

Why not replace the slide with an Audio statement audio play on enter for the slide?  And then you will need a box of extra click that covers the entire slide, under the present click box and attaches an action standard success him "Stop audio triggers. No legend of failure, nor the fact that for this second click box.

  • Captivate 5.5 box click does not pausing

I have a newly created project. When I preview the he slides break when I clickboxes. After the publication as a MP4, blades is no longer a break.

Am I missing a hotfix or an update?

Also, when I click on a slide while playing the MP4, the video stops and must be restarted.

    Hello

Welcome to the Forum from Adobe.

If you publish a MP4 then the slide will not pause because there is no interactivity on the slide, even if you click on boxes.

However if you publish a SWF file and then the slide will have interactivity and so it's going to take a break.

  • Audio on multiple slides in Captivate 5

I'm new on using Captivate 5 and I am trying to record audio in Captivate that will play everything ahead of 3 slides on their own.

I read something on a thread which spoke by clicking a "slide divider" - I can't find the 'slide' divider and on a 'distribution window' opens once I have record audio - who never appears.

Can someone help me with this?  It seems it should be easy to find.

    Thank you

    Emily

    Hi Emily,.

You can record audio to 3 slides in different ways.

    Option 1:

You can record audio individually on all three slides by invoking the audio for each slide slide dialog box.

    1. on each slide you want to save the audio call audio slide dialog box (Audio > Record to > Slide) and record for the single slide. Record audio recorded will add it to the slide that you have recorded.

    2. you can follow step 1 for all three slides that you want to save.

    Option 2:

You can record audio for all the slides in three continuous only once. You can do this in the audio SLIDES dialog box

For ex if you want to record audio for slides 1, 2, and 3, then select slide 1 and call the slides audio audio dialog box > Record to > slides

You get a "Record of Slide" dialog box. Enter slide numbers for which you want to record audio, and then click ok.

This will open the audio slides dialog box.

Dialog box audio slide shows the slide selected in the dialog box "Record of slide. Enable "streaming" and "SWF Preview" and click on the record button. It will record audio on three slides that tell you. Audio will be added to all the slides in three. You can see the preview Movie (SWF) or the slide number, mentioned in the upper right of the preview pane for the number of the slide you are saving to.

If some parts of the audio is filled with the next slide, then you can organize the markers in the EDIT tab. Here you can play audio and pause at the place where you want your next slide to start and click on the button highlighted by Lilybiri. Its called the 'Start next slide here' button.

Once the recording is done, click SAVE to add audio to all three slides.

Try these and let me know if it works.

  • Text input does not pause for user input

If all goes well, a simple question:

    Brief:
I have a box of text on a page of simulation of connection that do not pause for user input. Instead, it just displays as if writing be typed and then continues.

    Question:
How do I get this thing to pause and wait for the user to enter the login id?

    Detail:
Version 1.01.1418 (full version), platform PC of Captivate
    Text entry box
    1 entry correct listed: "sa".
    Success = continue
    Display: Rest of slide
Break after: 0.1 sec (varied this having any impact on a break for the entry)
    No transition

    DRM for advice.

This must have been a dark note somewhere in the documentation:

You can not interact with the page if preview you with play this slide (F3). The other preview modes to the text entry area work correctly.

  • Error "Audio not found" every 5 seconds

    Hello

I use Adobe Premiere Pro (CC 2015) to edit the behind the scenes of a movie, but I can't edit correctly because whenever I hit

and there is a loss of images.

I have only two audio files in my sequence, one of them suddenly stops and the error of "audio not found" appears, the other audio file

continues to play for about 2 seconds and then stops as well.

I can't find a solution and I have to finish this project quickly, so I can burn everything on DVD.

    Does anyone have a solution?

    Hi John,.

    I have an I7 mounting and the film's 1080 p 23 976 fps mov of a T3i, jpeg photos and his (wav).

After a few days, he started working properly again. I don't know what caused it.

  • When I add a video on my calendar, it allows only the audio, not the video. It is in MOV format.

I'm working on my first project with elements first, and when I add a video to my computer, it will add it only for audio, not the film section. All my files are in MOV format. I am able to open the same file in Microsoft Movie Maker, but not in the first of the elements.

Your specifications video camera and your lack of QuickTime presets, it's almost a certainty that the installation of the first Elements needed as QuickTime will solve your problem.

What could be your problem is the use of a video codec MotionJPEG for your video. Your camera seems to offer MotionJPEG video codec, but only as an .avi file. The video codec that goes with the file from your camera .mov is H.264. Thus, with an extension of the .mov file, you do not have the question common to Premiere Elements MotionJPEG any version.

Please let us know if the installation of QuickTime works for you. It should based on what I've read online on your camera and knowing the requirement of Premiere Elements for QuickTime.

    Thank you.

  • Toggle audio on a slide background

In Captivate 7, it was easy to find a setting to turn on or off background audio to individual slides. Where is this setting in Captivate 8?

    Jay,

The option will appear in the Options on the slide tab, when you insert another audio clip. Limited to IMO, because you can read audio as a peak or an audio object action.

I certainly journalisera it like a bug, because in CP7, it was possible to decide if the background sound is stopped even if there was no audio for this slide slide.

  • Audio does not pausing at the end of the slide

Hello world. Captivate 8 using, version 8.0.3.290, 10 Windows.

Have a problem with the audio in a project where the user progresses to the next slide by using the next button. However, we recorded audio outside Captivate, saved as MP3 and dragged and deposited the corresponding MP3 files in the slides in the film.

We presented the project preview and audio is not a break at the end of the slide and wait for the next button to be clicked. Instead, he continues to audio for the next slide. How to stop doing this?

Thanks in advance for any help you might be able to offer.

Be sure to leave a small space after and before each audio clip in the slide. This way Captivate will not hold account is a large audio file distributed over several slides.

Another tip: don't compress to mp4, if you import audio clips to Captivate but keep the original wav files. Captivate will compress to mp3 at the time of publication. Look in the library, you'll probably find that Cp has created a wav from your mp3 file.

  • Captivate audio does not pausing in LMS after relaunch of bookmarking.

My background is in Captivate 5.5.  I have audio attached to each slide and each slide contains a button 'Next' text to pause the slide at the end.  We use SumTotal LMS.  The course works very well if you start and complete it in one sitting. If I close and favorite of my place, then relaunch the course will begin where it left off and slides a break to the "next" button, but continues to go to the audio. "" I looked it up and down on both sides and that you can not solve this problem.  Several users have had this problem.  Any help would be appreciated I need to get this on-line course.

    Rod,

Thank you very much!  I added the audio slide by slide and I at the beginning of each slide.  I will try to move a tenth or two out.

  • 8. do not allow me to move the markers of the slide in the audio editing of slides in Captivate

Support - seems to work sometimes, but sometimes not. Today, not! I'm a software simulation. Then save auido to be distributed across multiple slides. But in the audio editor, says "you have reached the minimum display time" whenever I try to move the markers of slides! GRR! all solutions?

    Hello

In the case of the image you provided, the audio itself seems to be long of 2.5 seconds. So Captivate you cannot change the slide duration to be shorter 2,5 seconds, because the associated audio video needs this time to complete. The only way to make this shorter slide is to edit the audio clip, so his is shorter.

  • Working with notes of slide as audio script

In Captivate v4 if you had more than a few lines of notes that you need to use your script, you can "detach" notes and extend the screen before you start your audio recording in order to see all the notes on a single page which you based your audio.

I have yet to start any major recording in Captivate 5.5, but what I see so far - the above option does not exist. It seems that if you get a scroll bar, you must use to see your script once get you into the initial screen of available notes.

    There is no work around?

I prefer to see the complete script from the start and not have to scroll at my check - with the additional risk of my mike pick up mouse clicks.

    Noel

If you want to use individual slide Notes Panel, you just grab it by the tab and drag it out like a floating panel.  However, when you open the Audio dialog box drag, you will find that the slide Notes Panel can not be achieved to sit on it.

My preference is to anchor the Notes slide on the right side of the screen and all simply sit the Audio slide to the left of it so I can read my voiceover script as well as monitor the registration of the slide.
