Audio on multiple slides in Captivate 5

I'm new on using Captivate 5 and I am trying to record audio in Captivate that will play everything ahead of 3 slides on their own.

I read something on a thread which spoke by clicking a "slide divider" - I can't find the 'slide' divider and on a 'distribution window' opens once I have record audio - who never appears.

Can someone help me with this?  It seems it should be easy to find.

Thank you

Emily

Hi Emily,.

You can record audio to 3 slides in different ways.

Option 1:

You can record audio individually on all three slides by invoking the audio for each slide slide dialog box.

1. on each slide you want to save the audio call audio slide dialog box (Audio > Record to > Slide) and record for the single slide. Record audio recorded will add it to the slide that you have recorded.

2. you can follow step 1 for all three slides that you want to save.

Option 2:

You can record audio for all the slides in three continuous only once. You can do this in the audio SLIDES dialog box

For ex if you want to record audio for slides 1, 2, and 3, then select slide 1 and call the slides audio audio dialog box > Record to > slides

You get a "Record of Slide" dialog box. Enter slide numbers for which you want to record audio, and then click ok.

This will open the audio slides dialog box.

Dialog box audio slide shows the slide selected in the dialog box "Record of slide. Enable "streaming" and "SWF Preview" and click on the record button. It will record audio on three slides that tell you. Audio will be added to all the slides in three. You can see the preview Movie (SWF) or the slide number, mentioned in the upper right of the preview pane for the number of the slide you are saving to.

If some parts of the audio is filled with the next slide, then you can organize the markers in the EDIT tab. Here you can play audio and pause at the place where you want your next slide to start and click on the button highlighted by Lilybiri. Its called the 'Start next slide here' button.

Once the recording is done, click SAVE to add audio to all three slides.

Try these and let me know if it works.

  • How to play 1 audio MP3 on multiple slides in Captivate 5.5?

Hi, I have a project in which I have several screen 'movies', and I've separated records MP3 audio for each film.  (I use a segment for example, however I have to do this several times) the audio is maybe 3 minutes long and must be played during the "screen" movie, which is about 20 slides for a long time.  To my knowledge, I must break the MP3 audio in the 20 pieces so that each slide has only a small piece of audio.  Or, is there a right way have the audio start playing at the beginning of the film "screen" and I'll just match the timing to the voice slides as he plays without breaking apart audio?  I am using Captivate 5.5 on a MacBook Pro.  Thank you!

    Hello

    Welcome to the Adobe Forums.

How long is the Audio files?

There is an option in Captivate 5.5 through which you can distribute your Audio files on multiple slides

    (1) right click (Control click on MAC) on the slide from which you want to start the Audio

    2) import-> Audio

    (3) you get a window, choose option 2

    (4) it will distribute Audio, depending on the length of the blades.

    Hope this helps!

    Thank you

  • 8. do not allow me to move the markers of the slide in the audio editing of slides in Captivate

Support - seems to work sometimes, but sometimes not. Today, not! I'm a software simulation. Then save auido to be distributed across multiple slides. But in the audio editor, says "you have reached the minimum display time" whenever I try to move the markers of slides! GRR! all solutions?

    Hello

In the case of the image you provided, the audio itself seems to be long of 2.5 seconds. So Captivate you cannot change the slide duration to be shorter 2,5 seconds, because the associated audio video needs this time to complete. The only way to make this shorter slide is to edit the audio clip, so his is shorter.

  • Audio broadcast to multiple slides

I'm creating a software using the captivate demo and narration voice. The problem is, the program uses a lot of mouse input. Need me 8 clicks just to select a date, which creates 8 blades. I can live with the large number of slides, but my audio with slides synchronization has become a nightmare. I am looking for a better way to distribute my one sentence of audio across multiple slides. Can it be done?

I am using Captivate 5.5 and is going to publish in the form of a SWF file.

    Yes, it can:

    1. Note the number of the slide where you want your audio files to spread.
    2. Go to Audio > record... > glide.
    3. When the dialog box Audio slides opens, either record your audio slides play in the preview window, or import the audio from another place of him have divided these slides.
    4. Adjust slide markers to meet.
  • Import audio data across multiple slides (not all)?

Is it possible to attach audio to multiple slides (not all) as described? If so, how?

Slide 1: no audio; text communicates that this module will have audio, so the viewer must prepare by plugging in the headphones. Click the start video button when you're ready. Goes to the next slide.

Slide 2: Audio Music begins (object) and audio narration between a few seconds later, registered to the slide. Slide Intro ends, audio fades.

    Slide 3-30

Each slide has voice told to drag. I would add a SECOND file of music playing in the background to all slides #3-20.

Slide 21-23: original music played on these blades, each with voice told at bottom.

    Thank you very much.

    What version?

Some ideas: music for the file, stop on the slides 1-2 and 21-23 background.

VO as slide auido on slides where wanted.

For slide 2: audio object that can play alongside the original Version (see http://blog.lilybiri.com/audio-objects-control-them)

For slide 21-23: audio object with the object displayed for the rest of the project and hidden at the entrance to slide 24

  • How can I get audio to play for a single slide in Captivate 5.5?

I am using Captivate 5.5 on Windows 7.
I added text to speech audio to my slides.

Previously, I could get a glimpse of a single slide with audio.

A few days ago the audio has stopped playing to preview the slide.

The audio plays when I preview project, then 5 slides, etc.

Do you have any suggestions on how I can get the audio to play again for a single slide?

    Hello

Look in the timeline panel. More specifically, the area where names appear on the left side. Now, look down. You should see a small speaker icon. My guess is that you've clicked on it to cut it. Jump to the right and literally SCREAMS she's dumb, right?

    Hello

I am importing PowerPoint files in Captivate 4 with the view with audio recorded separately on top of these PPT Slides.

The PowerPoint file and associated slides to import with no problems. When I import the audio in the timeline view, it treats the MP3 file without any problem and adds the audio file to the library and the first slide. I can get the window asking me how I want to import the audio, to shich, I select the audio acorss to distribute several slides option.

In previous versions of Captivate, the Audio sync popup then appears to allow me to choose at which points to divide the audio between slides. Unfortunately the Audio Synchronization window does not appear.

My system Details are as follows:

    Hello

Please try to open the Captivate as an administrator-

    Solution 1:

    1. go to the Captivate installation location. Generally, it is present here-

    C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Captivate 4

    2. right click the "AdobeCaptivate.exe' and select 'run as administrator '.

    3. now try to run the same steps. It should work

If this does not work, try the following set of steps mentioned below.

    Solution 2:

Close the Captivate and try the following.

    1. Identify the location of cmd.exe. Usually found in C:\Windows\System32\
    2. Click right-click on cmd.exe > select run as administrator
    3. Launches the command prompt
    4. Now, go to the Adobe Captivate 4 installation location. In your case, it may be C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Captivate 4
    5. Now, run the command regsvr32 NSAudio.dll
    6. Once you get a confirmation dialog box, run the next command regsvr32 WaveEditCtrl.ocx
    7. Again, you should get a confirmation dialog box.
    8. Now launch Captivate and try the same steps. It should work.
    Kind regards

  • Cannot save an audio slide 6 Captivate

I've recently updated some drivers and other files in Windows 7 (including the installation of a new virus protection software) and now I can not record audio to a slide. I can record a narration all in gliding record, but the "Save" button is grayed out when trying to record audio to a slide after the slide is created.

I can record audio in Audacity, so the problem is not the microphone.

Please ~ any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you!

OK, I admit it sounds like a very simple tip. But just in case you missed it, the "Save" button is enabled only after you have completed / stop audio recording.

  • 5.5 Audio Options dialog box import Captivate does

5.5 audio Importing Captivate, I normally get the Audio Import Options dialog box to choose how to set the audio. There are 3 choices and Iwant to use the other, "distribute the audio file across multiple slides. On another system, the dialog box does not appear and the audio is imported to a default location. I suspect that at somepoint, the box "Don't show me again" was checked. How can I get the upcoming Audio Import Options dialog box again when importing audio? I love using the option "distribute the audio file across multiple slides! Is there another way to go directly to the option "distribute the audio file across multiple slides? Thanks in advance,

    Richard P.

Hi Richard.  I thought I knew that the answer to that, but now I'm not sure.  I have two 5.5 and 6 installed on my PC.  What I will suggest works in version 6, but I couldn't make it work in 5.5.  You may have more luck.

Go to edit, preferences, General settings.  Click the button for the Confirmation Messages.  One of the boxes is Split Audio.  It is my understanding that if you select this option, Captivate should ask you what you want to do with audio.

As I said, it works in 6.  Give it a shot and see if it works for you.

    I hope this helps.

    Bob

Note: I got it to work also in 5.5.  I didn't have a future slide to divide. (duh!).  Once I added a second slide, I had the choice to divide the audio or to extend the timeline.  So, make sure that you have also a following or slides that Captivate can split audio.

  • How can I add a checkbox on a slide in captivate?

Is it possible to add a checkbox on the captivate? or is it possible to add an interaction as a button or click box to a multiple-choice question slide?

  • Toggle audio on a slide background

In Captivate 7, it was easy to find a setting to turn on or off background audio to individual slides. Where is this setting in Captivate 8?

    Jay,

The option will appear in the Options on the slide tab, when you insert another audio clip. Limited to IMO, because you can read audio as a peak or an audio object action.

I certainly journalisera it like a bug, because in CP7, it was possible to decide if the background sound is stopped even if there was no audio for this slide slide.

  • Audio not pause slide.

Using Captivate 6.  Presentation has audio on every slide.  On a slide, I have added a click with porperty box to "slide to break up what the user clicks" and go to the next slide.  However. the blade stops, but the sound continues to the next slides.  How I stop the audio when the blade stops, then resume when the user clicks the click box?

Thanks for the "suspicion".  I attached the audio track for the click box (and not the blade) and set the Audio property
Stop when paused.  Who did the trick.  Thank you... Tom

  • Slides from Captivate export notes

The notes section under each slide Captivate in my project corresponds to the script for the audio of this slide.

I need to send these notes/script to someone who doesn't have a Captivate, so that they can translate my notes/script.

I can publish the project as a word document and send them, but before I do that I was wondering if there is a smarter solution available (xml, html, xls, etc)?

    Noel

    Captivate v4

That is right. You will need to re - import the XML file into Captivate using the file-> import-> XML option.

  • Create a theme that, when selected, open multiple slides

I can create a theme using Keynote 6.6.2-no problem. I can record on the theme selector, no problem.

However, I would like to create a theme, which, when it is selected in the theme selector, open several slides prepared in advance, not only the title slide, in the presentation that results.

I tried, but nothing seems to work.

Anyone know if this is even possible? And if this is the case, how it's done?

    Thank you.

I don't know if it is possible as a theme however keep a Keynote presentation with multiple slides pre-established appropriate can do what you want.

If mark you as an element of Stationery Pad (via Get Info Finder), it should open as a copy so that you don't accidentally destroy your master.

  • Using AirPort Express to stream audio to multiple AirPlay speakers?

I'm looking to create a room without the need of a receiver wireless.  We have several AirPlay speakers allowed in our room, and I'm looking for a way to audio stream of my Apple TV of new generation for stakeholders.  Article I found online alluded to the idea that this can be accomplished by using an AirPort Express station.  I have a burning question, relating to the installation in the article I found:

Several allowed AirPlay speakers are connected to the same network (or dedicated) set up on an AirPort Express in client mode (or the appropriate for AirPlay)

I select this AirPort Express Terminal as a source alternative speaker on Apple TV

What is going on?  Do all connected then AirPlay speakers receive the audio signal?  I sincerely do not find this anywhere online.  Apple's technical support was not able to answer this question.

I have an Airport express.  I forward my iPhone airplay and the express has a plug audio mini that connects to my receiver, which in turn divides and distributes the audio channels to the appropriate speakers.

He cannot receive and transmit audio to multiple airplay speakers.

You can via a Mac however simultaneously transmit audio to multiple airplay speakers.

This isn't something that Apple TV is capable.

Finally do not know what you are trying to accomplish, but transmitting the same audio for all stakeholders would accomplish not something like Dolby 5.1 sound surround.  In the case of different sounds are directed towards the various stakeholders and that separation and management are performed by the receiver.

Post the link to the article you're reading.
