Help, audio stop working in XW6600 with nVidia NVS 315 graphics card
Greetings:
I just buy a renovated, XW6600 Xeon dual processor, 8 GB of RAM, Windows 7 Professional 64 bit system. The PC comes with a nVidia NVS 290 graphics card. Everything works fine and the speaker in the motherboard Jack produces sounds. However, when I change the NVS 290 with a NVS 315 (it is a HP spare part), the sound stops working. The speaker in the systray icon has a red circle with an "x" in it. If I right click on the speaker, the playback device, it shows two TV as icon one above the other with a red arrow pointing down and a description on the righ side saying "Digital Audio (HDMI) high definition Audio Device not connected. I have the same result in 64-bit Windows 8.1. The problem is solved if I reinstall the NVS 290. For both cards, I use the latest driver from nVidia. Am I missing something?
Any help to solve this problem is greatly appreciated.
Hello:
When you install new video card, it must have a HDMI on it audio chip and what happens, is that the BIOS has disabled the integrated audio system thinking not only have you installed a video card, but you have installed a map audio too.
Then, go into the BIOS, probably in the Advanced menu, the options menu, you will find onboard audio setting.
It will be set to Disabled. Set to active, save the setting it by hitting the F10 key and again when you go out (save the settings and exit).
When you restart, the integrated audio system should be back.

Hi, since Windows Update automatically installed this patch my audio device stop working. It does not appear in Device Manager. I've restored the system to a previous point and works now. I have disabled the automatic updates of Windows, but I really appreciate if Microsoft Support could check this because at some point, I will need to continue the update of Windows (because of several security mistakes!).
Thank you!
I restore my system to an earlier point and did not work! After several hours of searching for a solution in the web I realized that (fortunately!) I had a copy of the registration precedent and do a comparison, I noticed that some missing case book lines:
In
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\HDAUDIO\FUNC_02 & VEN_14F1 & DEV_5051 & SUBSYS_103C30D6 & REV_1000\4 & 38993660 & 0 & 0002\
The 'Control' key with a string value 'ActiveService "=' Modem' was absent.
Also in
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\HDAUDIO\FUNC_01 & VEN_14F1 & DEV_5051 & SUBSYS_103C30D6 & REV_1000\4 & 38993660 & 0 & 0001
I added a 'Control' button with a string value "ActiveService" is"ksthunk".
Finally, I restart my system and Windows again recognizes my camera and the driver installed!
Of course this solution depends on the machine you have. I have a HP Pavilion dv2000 with Conexant High Definition SmartAudio 221.
I hope this helps someone!
NOW I'M GOING TO TURN OFF WINDOWS UPDATES!

Hello
Welcome to the Microsoft answers forum.
You can check the audio drivers, they are installed correctly.
If this is uninstall them and install again.
I suggest you check that the default audio device is correctly set
1. click on start, type Sound in the box to start the search.
2. click on sound in the results of search at the top of the start menu.
3. click on the tab reading notice the check mark next to the default device. For most users, the default device is speakers.
Make sure that the audio settings are configured as expected. Follow these steps:
1. on the playback tab, select the playback device, click Properties, click the Advanced tab and make sure that the default Format is set to the value you expect.
When you are finished, close this window to return to the previous window.
2. on the playback tab, select the playback device, click on configure and make sure that the configurations are set correctly.
3. If the sound settings are well positioned, you are using speakers as the audio device and your speakers are already set as the default device, go to method 5 now.
4. Select the audio device you want as the default audio device and then click on set as default.
5. click OK to save your settings and close the sound dialog box.
Determine if you can now hear. If you can hear the noise, the problem is resolved. If you don't hear sound, try Method 5.

I noticed that my PC was still under warranty, so I contacted Dell support. My problem has been resolved through the use of the package update dell audio driver Realtek ALC662VD Audio, 6.0.1.6662, A01.

Audio stops working after updates thanks to HP Support Assistant
I have a HP Pavilion dv6-6033, running Windows 7, and whenever an audio update is offered by the wizard for help, I'm sorry I let it install. Car audio no longer works after the update is installed. Usually, I just run the system restore, date back to before the audio update and give everything EXCEPT the audio update. But this time, when it happened, I find that system restore is not restore the audio.
I went into the Device Manager and uninstalled the IDT High Definition Audio Codec, rebooted and let it reinstall. Still no sound. I downloaded for the next sp55094.exe here:
Once again, I have uninstalled the Codec IDT and chose to remove it. Then I installed the file that I had downloaded. Restarted at the end. Still no sound.
Does anyone have any suggestions? My volume control is about 50% and neither helmet nor the work of computer speakers.
Thank you!
go to control panel of configuration/sounds and make sure on the tab devices play the idt are the default device. Click the configuration button by default down to establish it.

IDT Audio stops working on Latitude E6230
Hello, in our society we use much Latitudes E5430/E5530/E6430/E6530/E6440/E6230 and most of them running Windows 8/8.1 x 64 with no problems.
One of our colleague with strted Latitude E6230 of problems with its IDT recently. However, there is no audio output to speakers or headphones. Even in the docking station. Drivers are correctly installed, Windows don't you just play the sounds.
The first solution was to uninstall the IDT sound card, reboot, reinstall, reboot and it worked. Now, this no longer works. I booted Linux Mint Xfce 16, sound works fine under linux, so it should not be hardware problem.
BIOS is the last, so are pilots IDT directly from Dell. IDT is give any supported, so its place at Dell or MS.
Anyone has stumbled across it? Im a little unable to solve this problem. Realtek USB sound card works fine.
Reinstalling Windows is not an option, which would take much more time, everything else works fine. Motherboard has been replaced in the past due to problems with docking connector. I think that is not however make the motherboard.
Here are a few screenshots, sorry, they are in our Czech tongue. Drivers are correctly installed several times, depending on the device Windows is running fine. Windows Media Player cannot read mp3 or anything like that with her because he walked into the problems with the audio device.
Speaker configuration does not play the sound test, absically "couldn't play test sound.
Thanks in advance for reading and tips!
Jimco
It doesn't seem to be a problem with the IDT driver, so probably something to do with Windows. But if you want, you can try the native audio driver for Windows. If the E6230 still has the same symptoms with the native driver then certainly not the fault of the IDT pilot.
1. open Device Manager (type devmgmt.msc in the start search box and press ENTER).
2. develop the 'audio controllers, video & game' and right click on "IDT High Definition Audio Codec".
3 Select this option to "Update driver software".
4. click on "Browse my computer for driver software".
5. click on "Let Me pick from a list of drivers on my computer".
6. put the "Show compatible hardware" check box if not already checked.
7. in the list of devices, click on 'High Definition Audio"(native driver).
8. click on "next".
9. in the update driver warning box, click 'Yes' (the driver).
10 restart the portable computer if you are prompted. If not invited, so no need to restartGood, it helped actually, because there were two audio controllers. Was IDT Audio Codec and second was generic 'audio device High Definition Audio' so I installed the Windows driver generic Audio Codec IDT Audio Codec. After the reboot, there are two features high-definition Audio and sound works! Jack detection works also greatly.
Thank you wery much for this entry!

Open windows control panel, open Windows Update, select "View update history" in the left pane and then select "Installed updates" link in the next window.
Locate the KB2962407 update, right click and choose uninstall. Once completed, restart the computer, open windows control panel, open Windows Update and select "Check for updates". You will see the update that you have uninstalled just offered once again - right click and select "Hide update".
After that you may or may not need to remove and reload the sound driver - if you do, how to use Recovery Manager to reinstall the drivers and software is detailed in the document at the link below.

Audio has stopped work on disabling Remote Desktop device Redirector Bus.
What is a remote desktop device redirector bus? First of all, I have a laptop. Second, after you turn off the equipment my audio stopped working in services. This hardware driver is Microsoft. My concern is why my audio hardware requires remote redirection as that on behalf of disabled bus? On further investigation, Dell has a bus Director. Not a bus "redirector".
Hello Newman,

3. when exactly you receive the error message?

Audio stops when the advancement of track
Hello
I have a 6 s iPhone that is around the age of 4 months.
where to listen to some music or podcast apps and go to the track following, all audio stops working. Sometimes a strange, like static noise will happen. This happened only when it is connected to the bluetooth in my car stereo. The song or podcast will always be running and do forward the time, but not sound via Bluetooth speaker or telephone (with Bluetooth turned off). After restarting the phone, he picks up back where she stopped everything as nothing happened. This happened about 5 times or more, when to jump to the next track or when switching between music and podcast apps. I don't remember if I had the problem with Spotify, but when it gets no audio won't play at all.
I appreciate all the help, it's becoming boring. I am updating to IOS 9.3 right now.
Thank you.
I have not had this happen again because I have updated to IOS 9.3, hoping that the problem has been resolved
