Audio won't play in the timeline

Product: Adobe Captivate 2

I have audio associated with a specific slide. When I click directly on the audio in the timeline, I'm able to play. When I click on ' preview - next 5 slides ", the slides and the audio play perfectly.

However, when I hit the 'Play' button in the timeline panel, I hear no audio. The same thing happens when I click on 'preview - play this slide. " This makes editing very difficult and I am faced with a deadline.

Anyone know why this is happening? Anyone know a solution? I would like to recommend Captivate instead of another product we already use, but it's hard to do when weird questions like this arise. Thank you.

I just realized what my problem was.

I apparently (coincidentally) you click on the little mute button that appears in the timeline panel. Stupid.

Thank you

  • First Pro CS 6 and Windows 10 - projects do not play in the timeline

I bit the bullet and upgraded to Windows 7 Professional, Windows 10.  I had heard people say that first Pro CS 6 worked in Windows 10, so I was anxious to make the upgrade, but I was sure that it works ok.

    Boy, I was wrong!

I can open previously created first Pro CS6 projects, and everything looks good on the timeline.  But the project will not play!  The "play" button on the changes in preview to the "Stop" button, but the current-time indicator does not move forward and the video does not play.  I can rub very well through the timeline.  If I press the "Stop" button, it won't come back on the 'Play' button, as it should.

I tried to create a new project, import a video file and try to play it, but the same thing happens... it won't play.

    Any ideas?

Thanks for your quick response. I solved the problem, just before that I received

    your post above...

I realized that I had no sound at all... no windows sounds, nothing. My Realtek

High Definition Audio sound card on my motherboard did not work. He has been

selected as default in Windows playback device, but not sounds were

to come. I selected another audio device and then switched back to

the Realtek device and I had sound. Just for fun, I opened a project

First, and he's now come back normally.

Now, if only I could get all the 5.1 speakers, it would be

large. It seems that I currently have audio '3.1' now! Realtek web page is

not very useful to provide drivers. The configuration program for the

sound card think it has side speakers, but they make no noise!

    Thanks again.

  • Premiere Pro CC 2015 video / Audio won't play - Out-of-Sync Audio and video clock errors

After the installation of Premiere Pro CC 2015 I am unable to actually play my video in the timeline.

I must point out that the same video and audio files accurate work perfectly in my previous version of CC 2014.

Usually when I hit the play button nothing will happen and then after a time it will stutter back and fourth between a small loop (no audio present) and give an error that says "clock Audio and video out-of-sync (instead of time) in"Adobe Player.

I tried full uninstall and reinstall Premiere Pro CC software 2015 without success. I also tried to delete all the preferences of Premiere Pro to my settings user without success. I should also mention that after effects CC 2015 is oddly also often send me errors do not have enough executives, so I'm not sure if they are related. Once more, the CC 2014 version works perfectly.

For reference the video file is a .avi with Xvid compression and sound is a .wav. These have always been used exactly the same with CC in 2014 without problem.

I also ran a full virus and malware scan just in case for some strange reason, that was at fault, and I ran into zero issues. Media Encoder, Photoshop, and Illustrator CC 2015 that all seem to work great.

I am quite technically savvy and this one left me speechless, that really stinks that I was looking forward to the potential improvements to speed updates. That's life.

  • Audio not to fall in the timeline panel, please help!

    Hello

I got no problem with CC before that happened. I started a new project and fell in the first clip, the audio drops as well as the video on the timeline. I'm going to do to drag another clip and and the sound does not come with it, as the video. All clips of will play the audio in the source window. The audio tracks in the timeline panel are targeted and unlocked. I am very confused! Here are the properties of the video clip:

    Path: / Volumes/TRANSCEND/Taipei weekend/custom fest/DSC_0884.MOV

    Type: MPEG Movie

    File size: 15.3 MB

    Image size: 1920 x 1080

    Frame rate: 25.00

    Audio Format: 48000 Hz - 16-bit - stereo

Project Audio Format: 48000 Hz - 32 bit floating point - stereo

    Total time: 00:00:05:16

    Pixel format: 1.0

I don't know why this is happening, help!

    Holly

It's all in the targeting and the patch source.

  • Audio is more synchronized on the timeline or Panel preview of the edition after all was over. Help?

OK, so I'm changing a package which is about 8 minutes in length. I had almost finished, except for a few small touches here and there. I had decided to examine it again today and here, none of the audio has been synched to the video more. It was yesterday, as far as I know. There can be not just next door. It seems that the audio from the end of the sequence is now forward and the rest is all mixed up too. The film was shot on a Sony 60-minute miniDV cassette and had imported fine. The imported video file is always synchronized when played in Windows Media Player, but as soon as I import in first Pro CS5.5 is as the file that is out of sync. I have other packages on the same timeline of other bands and they play very well. I thought that maybe I had moved the audio tracks separately from the video, but as I said, even in the Panel preview audio is disabled.

I tried to break the link and recreate a link to images and tried to start over from scratch, I DON'T want to do and just add the same file to the batch and re-edit.

The file is corrupted? Is - this first Pro CS5.5 which is ruin? What is a user error, which can be easily solved? Do I need to reimport images from the tape to the computer instead of just the file to the PP?

I'm working on this package for a few weeks now and would not need to restart. If tere is a solution to this, other that to start over, I'd appreciate it greatly help!

Also, I now look through it, the audio is not only mismatch but also nervous and it cuts in and out from time to time for just a frame or two. This makes me think, possibly, that the file is incorrect...

At first, you 'capture' of a band and you 'import' digital media files.

Was this DV images captured of the Ribbon by using first?

You can try to remove your media Cache files.

    Edit > Preferences > media

Under "Media Cache database" hit "Clean".

This will remove the database only.

Navigate to the location specified as 'Media Cache files',

Open the folder, just select and delete.

Media and the Database Cache files will be automatically re - generate

When you reopen your project... leave enough time to make it end.

You can also try to remove your preview files.

Project > project settings > disks work

Navigate to the specified location in the video previews / Audio Previews',

Open the folder, just select and delete.

When you re-open your project, first ask you for the location

the missing preview files... Select 'offline '.

Return the new preview files if necessary.

  • audio won't play

I have no sound when I try to watch a video or listen to music, like on Youtube or on Amazon music samples. Yet, I can hear the audio to the video on the page demo of Mozilla Add-ons - modules. I tried all the suggestions figure on the page support and none of them work. This problem started about 3 weeks without apparent reason.

I guess I'm just too literal. When audio is not playing, she didn't act like a crash to, e.g. a closure violent program. The solution was simple. Downgrade the version of Flash Player. I've dropped from 11.3 to 10.3. Problem solved

  • Audio problems when playing and the screen fades on Satellite P100-160

Hi, I bought a new Toshiba Satellite P100-160 of Currys today.
I bought it for the primary purpose of the use of broadcast software OtsAV playing at live concerts between shows.
Any audio device I play glitches in places if I use OtsAv or Windows Media Player. It is not constant, but there's something not quite right with her.

I also noticed that the screen will dim sometimes, then clear up again without reason apparent.

Any ideas what the problem may be?

  • Palm Pre: audio apps to play in the background of other applications?

I was in a Sprint store and when to try a few Palm Pre audio paused when I returned to another application (no a/v).  I am told that when you get the phone and update, then the audio application will continue to play in the background while you work in other applications, such as calendar.  Can you confirm this?  Update includes this change?

    Thank you

A Palm user for a long time

    Hi pkmk,

It depends on what application you pass too. Calendar, Contacts, E-mail, etc., but all work very well. The trick is, leave the card here. If you get the music off the screen, audio card stop. If leave you it there and just simply switch to another application, audio will continue to play in the background.

  • Video and Audio does not move to the timeline.

    Hello.

For these last days, I worked on a video in Adobe Premiere Pro CC. I got no problem with sounds moving in the timeline, so far...

I can now move more video/audio files to my project on my calendar. The only way I can do this, is to make a new sequence, but that means, I don't see anything in the other sequence, it is simply a small hand closed and a crossed circle.

No idea how to fix this? I posted a picture of my calendar down below.

    Thank you!

    Screen Shot 2016-02-24 at 12.29.25.png

I have a vague feeling that you have a point and an out point in your calendar that could interfere with your work, but I can't be sure. Try a right-click anywhere in the timescale of your timeline and choose 'Clear In and Out'. Then try to use mobile media in the Timeline. Please let me know if it works or not. Good luck!

  • Can't see audio or track sound on the Timeline

    Hello

I edit a video clip in Prime Minister 11 elements which usually takes an hour of video images in the scenario and audio files (in green) below. I can normally see those audio files on the timeline, remove them and change them.

I now reopened the PREL file and audio files have disappeared. Audio files, I had that accompanied the video scenes are now part of the clip - so the work I did previously was still valid - but I can't change them because they are no longer on the timeline (but the video itself is still there).

The main change I made is to move from Win 7 to 10 to win (this is the first time I opened Prem 11 in Win 10 and discovered the absence of audio files), but it may be unrelated. Now I get the following message appears on the screen:

    PremierElements.jpg

which, again, may be unrelated. In all cases, the Manager of peripheral devices, graphics cards, shows that I have an Intel G41 Express Chipset (Microsoft WDDM 1.1) adaptor, not Microsoft GDI Generic 1.1 which means the message on the screen. In all cases, the device manager tells me that I have updates.

Again once the upgrade to win 10 and the issuance of the graphics card may have nothing to do with me not being able to see my green audio track. Is it possible, however, to get the way back so that I can change different things?

    Thank you!

Just a quick note... even if you can lower the Volume to - 59 dB and into infinity, the highest reading dB is 6.0 (+ included). If you typed dB to + 10.0, you would get 6.0 dB (without sign +).

I think we're OK on that now.

    Best wishes
