I recntly bought a new computer (Windows XP Pro, WMP 11). When I connect my Sansa m240 in MSC mode, tells me that there are no files on the device so much in my computer & Windows Media Player. However enter into properties of the device on my computer shows the device as almost complete, like the sync in WMP 11. Why can't I access the files on the device? Thanks for any help!

Sorted! Simply changed from MSC to automatic detection, the girls appeared.

  • So I just got a 4 GB rocket

Two years ago, I bought a Sansa M240. At the time, it wasn't so bad. Now, it is pretty much trash. I've been condsidering get a Zune, but the "rocket" is on sale for $50 today. It was sold out literally everywhere, but it wasn't onsale at Walmart, so I'm here and showed some flyers to other places and they price match it. It looks good, I haven't used yet but... been busy. My first question is, why should I get a video converter? Then, can I add songs like I did with the M240? With the M240, I would open my computer, click on the MP3 player, go to the music, then open another folder with my music and add just above in the other window. Then, I heard that only it recharge a number limited times. I cannot see that it is true however, but is it? Finally, how is the sound quality and comfortable are the headphones? Thank you. Oh yes, how Red in the newspapers and online showed that it is really bright and ugly, but when I went to the store, it was really dark red and beautiful looking. Oh yes, how update you it? The training video was not working. What is MSC mode too?

The Sansa Media Converter must be used to convert the videos to a format (and size) that the rocket can read and process. People have had degrees of success (or failure) with this property. I suggest that you go through the Sansa Media Converter here.

    Yes.

The "rocket" uses a Lithium-polymer battery. It's good for the years of support/say-charging cycles.

Finally, how is the sound quality and comfortable are the headphones?

Sound quality is among the best there is in portable devices. Only you can tell how comfortable the included earbuds are. Most recommend getting cheaper after-sales-sounding ones.

Sorry, time s up! You were the one who said "at last."

OK, a gift from more... videos here cover pretty much everything, and Yes, they work.

  • audiobooks on the sansa clip +.

I just got a sansa clip MP3 player +.  I joined audible.com and downloaded a book on my computer.  I thought that it was downloaded on my sansa.  Where are the files in the menu of the sansa?

    Help!  I'm not tech saavy.

Have you used the Audible Download Manager?  I think that's the recommendation until the end of files in the Audible folder on the Clip + and show up under the music/Audiobooks section.
  • Organize the Audiobook on Sansa Clip +.

I'm relatively new to the Sansa Clip. I want to put an audio book on which has a set of 11 disks. I created a title on the drive under audio books. Now I want the title create 11, disk1, disk2, etc. subfolders, to copy the torn in each folder of s to do 11 playlists under the title. That doesn't seem to work. Is this not possible.

Then I thought about being smart and merged all tore up the files from one disk to do a big mp3 fle (60 + MB) and do this 11 times and copy them under the title and create a playlist. The player doesn't and hung. What gives? Any help wil be appreciated.

Well, this is what I discovered. Each record indicates that a separate under audio books book. So I changed the label of the album of each disc to the Heading1, Title2 etc and it works. Thank you all for your help. Very much appreciated.

  • New Sansa Clip + turns off after a few minutes of play audiobook...

    Hello

I was wondering if someone could help me.  Have been enjoying my new Sansa Clip + for the past two weeks.  Just been using the function of radio - finally understood how to load an audio cd on the drive.  The drive is recognized on my computer, and audio tracks are in the player very well.  When I start the audio book, the player will stop after about three minutes of play.  I need to do a soft reset before it turns on again.  This happens whenever I try to read the audio book.  I have not loaded all of the songs on the player at the moment and I was wondering if this problem was something I got wrong, or if I was just a faulty drive.  This is my first mp3 player, so I'm new to this. :-)  The radio and the pre-loaded songs work fine.  I contacted the customer service, but have had no response.  Thought I would try the forum before you give them a call.

    I hope someone can help,

    El

You must use a ripping software and extract the mp3 or wma files. The Clip + probably does not even support .wav files.

  • Sorting Fix audiobook? Sansa Fuze + Firmware 02.38.06

I was not able to see that books audio sorting has changed.    If anyone has seen a change, Please tell me what has changed.

It always seems that this audiobook section is designed for one type of book, I did not.  I asked for an answer that someone use now, the audio book - as is.   I use the podcast section to read books.  If there is a way to make use of the section of audio book, please tell me how.  Where can I get the audio books that this section has been designed to read the.

Reflection on mine, I just conclude that the audiobook section is only good for one book at a time.  It's the kind of books that I could download for free.   One drawback is that you share bookmarks with the Podcast section.   This section is not worth fixing.

It seems that the intention was to use the podcast of audio books section.  The current audio book section has been added just to say that there is a section of the audio book.

I listen to audiobooks from 90 to 120 minutes, 6 days a week.  The podcast section works for audio books and this section has the speed controller.

My point is this, no minor corrections should be made to the section of audio book.

We recommend you to check the cross if WMA format audio books you have downloaded are protected or not. If they are protected, you can then buy additional rights to transfer audio books.

  • Audiobook 'lost '.

When my Sansa Clip + is connected to my computer, all my audio books (using windows Explorer) appear in normal mode.

My last downloaded audiobook displays correctly with the other audio books on your computer.

When the sansa clip + is removed from the computer the last downloaded audiobook does not appear (in the menu music - audiobooks) with other audio books.

How can I find this audio book 'lost '?

    lhenry wrote:

This is not the same thing as ID3 tags. You refer to file names. An ID3 tag is a container type of meta data used to store information about an MP3 file in the file audio itself. Learn more.

All Sansa mp3 players (and most other brands like many these days) sort and display their tag ID3, NOT file names database. The most often recommended ID3 tag editor is MP3Tag. It's free and very easy to use to correct or modify your tags if inconsistencies or errors. In addition, there are literally hundreds of discussions, advice and opinions on the program and the ID3 tags in general here on the forum, and hundreds more on other sites.

  • Sansa clip + does not see the audio books I have loaded

I got my Sansa Clip MP3 player + for two years and it works very well, so far.  I only use it for audio books.  Recently, I reformatted the player and loaded new books in.  When I went to read, the audio books folder was empty.  I have connected the player to the computer again, and the books were in the audio books folder, where I had loaded.

I've updated the firmware to the V01.02.16A Version, and there was no change.  I tried to reset by pressing the start button. No change.

Memory has 3750 MB with 3135 free, indicating that there are books in memory, but the player does not see the.  What is going on?

That's all!  I checked the format of audio files.  It is the AAFC, with suffix .m4a.

    The Sansa manual says:

"The Sansa® MP3 Player will support MP3, WAV, WMA, secure WMA, FLAC, Ogg Vorbis and audiobook formats.  I guess that AAC is not one of the formats that they support.  So I have to convert .m4a to .mp3.  I guess there are a lot of tools to do it.  Any suggestions about which one is the best?

Thanks a lot for this revelation.

  • How to delete songs that came on my Sansa Fuze?

My Sansa Fuze came with 19 songs on what I want to delete but I don't know how.  When I plug in my Sansa Fuze in my computer the songs do not appear on my computer but they are on the device when I use it.  They are not in the 'Music' folder or any folder when I manage the device to my computer.  Can someone tell me how to remove these unwanted songs?

If you don't have any other music/photos/videos etc.  on the "rocket", or you have copies that you are ready to transfer again, the best way to get rid of these songs is to format the "rocket" that erases all content (but does not change its integrated software). Settings from settings/system/Format.

Or if you have a friend with a new Windows computer, you can see the songs and delete them yourself.

Why can't you see these songs? It's a long story, but a bit simple.

The "rocket" has two modes USB, MSC and MTP (Settings/System Settings/USB Mode). They have two different lines in the "rocket" and your computer can only read one at a time. (The "rocket" sees it bit any mode).

The songs of the sample were transferred in MTP mode. But your computer connects via MSC - my favorite - mode so it cannot see them.

MSC treats the "rocket" as a generic flash drive. You can drag and drop manually, or if you want you can use Winamp or Media Monkey to sync things.

MTP allows the "rocket" be controlled - sync, etc. - by Windows Media Player 10 or higher. It allows also WMP transmit codes DRM (Digital Rights Muck) hidden-in-the-user for things like the songs protected against copying and audiobooks that expire. Probably not, you use those.

The idea was to have the equivalent of iTunes/iPod of coordination for the majority of users - but also for the greater freedom and control of Maritime safety, if a user wants to change. No Windows, on Mac or Linux users, find yourself on MSC as well.  The only real requirement for MTP mode is for DRM files.

On a computer that has Windows Meda Player 10 or higher, Auto Detect mode the "rocket of" (the third choice in Settings/System Settings/USB Mode) - which is what the "rocket" uses unless you changed it - connects in MTP mode and these songs will be visible and removable. That's why it would be simpler to use PC a friend Windows - Vista, Windows 7, etc.

The original Windows XP comes with Windows Media Player 9 - a too old version for PSG. If you are running XP you could update WMP (via support.microsoft.com) to empty these songs. Then, you must return to the MSC (not Auto Detect) and do all what you did previously to transfer your music., you'll have all your visible songs by you.

  • How to mark a file mp3, audiobooks

I use my Clip + to download and listen to audio books from Overdrive libraray. Periodically, some books will download correctly, but when I transfer them to the player (using a Mac) they places in the music/books/unknown file. Today, I downloaded 2 books and they both ending up with alternating files.

I tried to rename the files with the 01 sequence, but it has no effect. I tried to move the folder of the book Podcasts, without change. I tried to move the folder from the book of audio books entirely, without change. I check the files in the Finder and as far as I know they all have the same information, so I don't understand where or this marking info I'm looking for. It is available in the Finder? To get info?

I looked in the forums to answer this question, and the answers seem to lead to "modify the markup files. Honestly, I don't know how or what it involves. Answers assume some familiarity with the process that I don't have.

Can someone please provide Guide for do this idiot? Picture of me a young child who gets the keys to the car and says to put air in the tires - the first step, open the door, second step, put the key in the ignition. What is inflammation? I ask.

Thank you very much and please no sarcastic remarks, I use computers for 20 years and I am on my 5th player, owner of an iphone and an ipad and know to use also, don't assume that I am a fool. I don't know what the labelling is as I used it during the registration of the Etsy products.

Unless you scroll music and go into folders, the Sansa reads ID3 tags, no names. ID3 tags are electronic tags in the file name of the track of the Album, artist, and more importantly for you, kind (audio books).

In iTunes, you can watch Get Info. Tells you what is in the tags

You can correct one by one with Get Info. It would be tedious.

So take them off the Sansa and fix them on the computer.

Since you are in the land of Mac, you should probably get kid3, a free tag editor.

    http://kid3.sourceforge.NET/

Install it, open it, go to settings and configure Kid3.   Just do it once.  Under tags, you will see tabs 1 and 2 of the tag Tag. Open each and choose ISO-8859-1 for text encoding. It's the different text Windows, Apple display. Also choose ID3 version 2.3. Make sure that save you those.

Use the file to open a folder of audio books. Highlight all the, do the kind of books. Make any other changes that seems sensible to you: make sure that the track numbers are in order, etc. Save them, which will make them ID3v2.3 ISO-8859-1, easy to Sansa.

It sounds complicated, but once you have Kid3 installed, all you have to do is open an audiobook file, make a fix in bulk of the kind or whatever it is you need, save it and send it to the wire. Less than a minute for each new book - and probably more like 20 seconds.

Don't forget to put the cap on the valve, after completing the tire

  • Removing any audiobook at the same time or in part at the same time?

First of all, please allow me to apologize if the answer to my question is somewhere... I looked and looked.

Secondly, let me say that I LOVE this little Sansa Fuze 2 GB.

I listen to a lot of audiobooks and tried to remove an audiobook while pulling up the title of the book, then on 'low' for deletion but menu, it doesn't show.  The only way I can delete (that I know) is to click on the name of the book and let it bring up a list of all parties and then there is no difficulty by clicking in the DELETE to view and delete each section one at a time.  The last book that I deleted were 18 pieces and of course, it got tedious removal of one part at a time.  Is there a secret that I don't know?

    TwistedWhiskers wrote:

Who has not worked for me.  When it is connected to the computer, the button menu not pull anything up and I am unable to get the name of book or book the option delete.   The "rocket" shows that it is 'connected' and that the battery is charging.

    I'm doing something wrong?

He intends to do it from the computer.

Plug it into the computer.  Now, on your computer, go to 'My computer', click on your rocket (depending on what USB mode use you either will appear as a removable storage device or a media device).  Open the audiobook folder and delete the files appropriate to the breast.

Unplug the device from the computer, update the media library and the audibooks you removed will be gone.

  • Song on my Sansa bad ranking

Dear support, I downloaded several audiobooks to my Sansa clip and can see the same problems with ordering from them.

    I have called chapters:

    eng_01_01.MP3

    eng_01_02.MP3

    eng_01_03.MP3

    eng_02_01.MP3

    eng_02_02.MP3

    eng_03_01.MP3

    and so on,

    eng_01_01.MP3

    eng_02_01.MP3

    eng_03_01.MP3

    eng_01_02.MP3

    eng_02_02.MP3

    eng_01_03.MP3...

which is obviously false. Can it be fixed somehow, or less easily workarounded?

My tags are ID3v2.3 ISO 8859-1 format.  I tried all combinations of other formats and encodings as well.  SanDisk technical support has confirmed this problem as a default with the current firmware.

If this applies to you please send them an email and ask them to fix it in a future firmware version.
