  You did you remove the messages from the box Yahoo webmail, correct? It is one that has been overloaded. You can not leave messages on the Yahoo Server, so this won't be a problem.

  Go to the system/iCloud preferences panel and disconnect.  Restart, go back and reconnect.  See if that will jump start iCloud with your new email address.

  You can certainly remove the songs from your iTunes library.  You can not "reassign" purchased songs to your existing Apple ID.  However, you can authorize your computer for more than an Apple ID, not getting these messages.  But you would need the old Apple ID and password to do so.
