  We have configured our Cisco devices to use Windows 2008 network POLICY server for RADIUS.  However, we cannot configure aaa represents priv 15 commands to use the same radius servers for recording of commands in privileged mode.  When you set up by using the following command:

  AAA commands 15 arrhythmic default accounting RADIUS_SERVERS group

  I noticed that there is only GANYMEDE + servers 'group' categories and optional.  After entering the server radius group, I realized that the command is not saved and by inspecting the logs I saw the following:

  The 'MF_RAD' server group is not a Ganymede server group. Please define "RADIUS_SERVERS" as a Ganymede server group.

  This means that the function of accounting 'orders' (and probably most others) can be activated only when you use a GANYMEDE Server +?

  You're absolutely right. Accounting command only works with Ganymede. We cannot have the command for the radius Protocol accounting. RADIUS accounting only gives you start and stop sessions package.

• How many client PC can access the shared folder centralized in the windows XP Home Edition Server?

  Here's my situation:

  I bought 6 home edition of Windows XP
  then freshly installed, they upgraded to Service Pack 3 and they activated via internet
  I have some shared folders in one of them, acts as a database for the other 5 Server
  The other (5 PCs) Access database files (Visual FoxPro) using (X & Y) mapped network drive
  I have no problem connecting until the last one (FP5)
  Windows XP of the 5th PC (client) said:
  "Year error occurred while reconnecting X: to \\Raya\WS-01\Server Palen.
  Microsoft Windows network: No more connections are possible to this remote computer
  at this time because there are already as many connections as the computer can accept
  The connection has not been restored. "
  What & why is it?
  Is a design limitation of Windows XP HOME edition which can only inter connect up to 5 PCs at the same time?
  Please advise, what is happening here?

  Windows XP Home Edition allows a maximum of 5 simultaneous incoming connections.  XP Pro allowed 10.

  Note For Windows XP Professional, the maximum number of other computers that are permitted to simultaneously connect over the network is ten. This limit includes all transport and combined resources sharing protocols. For Windows XP Home Edition, the maximum number of other computers that are permitted to simultaneously connect over the network is five. This limit is the number of sessions simultaneously on other computers, that the system is permitted to accommodate. This limit does not apply to the use of administrative tools that attach from a remote computer.

• cRIO RT-query of the Windows host by vi Server

  We have an installation program using two RT chassis: a 9082 and a 9146. I was looking for a way to check the connectivity between a PC Win admin. Drew some code for each chassis FTP a file (or - rt.ini) and it works and check the connectivity. Thinking that maybe I could go a step further, perhaps using VI server (?) and check the modules, or some other specific info chassis. Are there hooks for this? Is there a way to get more information from one RT chassis other than using FTP to get a copy of the ini file? The more information the better, but I do not know what is exposed. Pointers to appropriate documentation would be great, or just tell me my limits, that's cool too ;-)

  Cool - since it is a system that is distributed to a customer, I'm not sure that the browser OR network is the solution that we need, but the configuration API system looks the pointer that I was looking for - thanks a lot Outlaw

They say that my computer has been hacked and I immediately have to do something. The operator referred me to his web site. Looked convincing, but I am very suspicious. Can someone confirm that these people are engineers of Windows genuine?

  I highly doubt that they are.  Microsoft does not directly give you have agents or representatives call you directly, unless you have requested that they contact you.  Search with Google or Bing and you will find there is a number of these scams running at present around the world.

• The Windows VM file server storage configuration options

  I have a Setup home of ESXi 3.5 running on an Adaptec 5805 with 3 x Western Digital 1 TB of drives in raid 5.  I plan on a number of virtual machines running on VMFS using virtual disks ranging from 10 to 20 GB.  Most of the storage is for the volume of a windows VM file server storage, somewhere around 1.5 to the mark.  Additional physical disks added to the Adaptec 5805 will be added for file server storage.  At least that's what I want to achieve

  My question is, what is the best option to add the windows VM storage file server because the VMs and storage are all on the same table?

  1. a large VMFS volume, add a virtual as extra storage space 1.5 TB drive to the VM file server and use scopes when you add additional physical disks in the array

  2. a single 300 GB partition on the table in the VMFS datastore for virtual machines, a score of 1.5 TB on the table in the VMFS datastore for storage file server disk.  Use scopes on the 1.5 TB data store when adding additional physical disks

  3. a single 300 GB partition on the table in the data store additional VMFS for VMs. the rest of the dashboard accessible from Raw Device Mapping for the 'normal' when you add storage of file server and extented with methods of expansion array physical disks

  4. something else non of the above makes no sense or it is technically impossible.

  Hi Jon "Best" depends on what you want to accomplish, all 3 of your options 'will work '...

  1 & 2 gives you the flexibility to create files VMDK as space and allocation to different virtual machines, if you need to. So for your 1.5 to sample, you can decide you want 500 GB to go to VM1, VM2 250, etc. etc. Option #3 devoted himself primarily to the 1.5 TB on a virtual computer, whatever we have mapped ROW (the ROW will include the entire disk and outside the cluster configurations is only usable by a virtual machine).

  When you create a VMFS partition, you can choose the size of the block that fits your needs. For a 1.5 to drive you choose 8 MB so that you could create a VMDK file as large as the disc if you wanted (8 MB would give you an upper limit of 2 TB).

  Extensions will allow you to spend a single data store by adding disks, however another approach when adding drives is to create additional data store, and then create the VMDK files and link them in virtual machines as necessary (find yourself with "multiple" readers in the virtual machine).

  They have done this before, I can tell because there are 2 dates on a note of sticky notes on the backup server. I know that the Goflex desktop adapter is not really a matter of Microsoft but I tried to contact Seagate and they told me to contact Microsoft.

  Create a new virtual machine in Virtual Center - install the software updates that you need in this model etc etc.

  Click right of the virtual machine when you finished and chose "convert model', if you need later update it is again you can 'convert virtual machine' and update before make you a model again.

  Unlike previous editions of Windows, where there was a visible label with the product key, any machine shipped with Windows 8 or 8.1 is the activation key into a physical (uefi bios) chip on the system board.

  Once you have installed the new hard drive, windows 8 recovery media will read this key during the installation and will activate automatically - you will not be prompted to enter a product key.
