Auto Off?

I have a new all in one printer HP 5514.  Everything seems to work well... but... When I have finished using the printer, I disable.  If later I want to print (by using wireless), should the printer turn on automatically?  Do I have to keep the power on all the time?

Thank you.

Hello

If you turn it off of via the power button it will stay off if you leave it on it should automatically fall in sleep and wake-up mode when you receive a printjob.

  • HP 6968: Auto Off does not engage

    Hello

I work on behalf of Epson from a local electronics dealer Superstore but bit the bullet and bought this printer because of its multitude of features and significant improvements on HP 2015 models available in my store (as well as the sale price) competitive $59.99, down from $179.99. Overall, I am satisfied with my purchase, but have noticed that the auto-off function does not work. It is currently set to turn off after 1 hour, but does not. In contrast, regular power off has been tested and works as expected. Mode 'sleep' is currently on a minimum of 15 minutes, well I don't think that this is in no way related to the auto off (which has a limit of 8 hours, unless I'm mistaken). I tried already to switch different things in the power management menu, as to disable the cursor for turning the voltage switch programmed, but nothing works. It does not completely turn off (i.e. the power button stays on and the unit is essentially asleep, not off).

    Any opinions?

I captured the following JO 6960 Pro series (page 3) user guide available to support HP (http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c05135226) page:

Auto-off is turned on when the printer is turned on, if the printer has no network, fax or capacity Wi - Fi Direct, or does not use these capabilities.

Auto power off is disabled when a printer wireless or Wi - Fi Direct ability is activated or when a printer with fax, USB, or Ethernet network capability establishes a fax, USB or Ethernet network connection.

Please check if this feature is disabled in your case because of connections to the computer or mobile devices (with or without wire).

You can also try send a job to the device to check if the camera is capable of wake up automatically upon receipt of the work (when the unit has not been used for more than 8 hours).

    I hope this helps!

  • Lose the bookmark after auto-off

I recently bought a Sansa Clip 4 GB because I read that it has good bookmarking features; However, I am having a little trouble with it.

I listen to the really long (6 hour radio shows) mp3 files I record from my computer, so the bookmarking feature is a must.  However, I find that so Auto-est under tension (i.e.  -> Power-> Auto Power setting->-> 10 minutes), the bookmark is lost after the power-auto-off device and the reader can read the MP3 from the beginning when I turn on the player.  Anyone else see this issue?

Mp3 files are placed in the "AUDIO" folder (so the bookmarks should be configured automatically), and I have the latest firmwire (V02.01.32A) installed.

    Thank you

    James

I tried to do this kind of mp3 "Audiobook" and the bookmark seems to work now after the auto.  Thank you!

  • Difference between "Auto off" and "Sleep" on LaserJet P1102W

The user guide for the LaserJet P1102W indicates that the default Auto setting in the properties is 5 minutes.  "Automatic stop" drop-down list does not contain a setting of 5 minutes - rather it contains "never, 30 min and 1,2,4,8, & 24 hours."  However, the drop-down list 'Sleep' contain 5 min and other selections up to 1 hour.  What is the difference between auto-off"and"Sleep ".

After the installation of this new printer, the default settings have been = 5 Minutes ' Sleep' and 'Auto off' = never

I have several computers around the House than any print to the same printer.  I want to always available for printing without issue in the basement to activate it, but yet they want more economic mode.

What is the difference between 'Sleep' and 'Auto off' and how should I put them in my terms of service desired?

    Thank you.

    Hello

I understand that you are looking for some explanations between the Sleep and automatic shutdown of the Laserjet P1102W printer. I would be happy to offer you answers!

For your desired operating conditions, I think that you already put as you would like. Standby essentially puts the printer in a State of very low power consumption, but the printer can be awakened from this State by sending a print job (meaning you don't have to go to the printer to remove it from that State). The auto-off function off the printer completely after a period of time. The only way to take the printer out of State would be to go to the printer and press the power button.

To have several computers connected to this one printer I would recommend leaving the auto-off Never and Eve to what you think is the best. As I said, the printer will wake up fashion 'sleep' and accomplish what you ask without physically going to the printer.

Hope this helps, have a nice day!

  • User - Auto-Off function after comments "Check disk" for Win 7 & Win 8 is over

    Hello

Hard disk for error checking and fixing it is a routine system for Office PC network maintenance, if the user is to have performance at all times.

The last PC has a hard drive of 500 GB to 1 TB size and many files for sanning. If will take about 10-20 minutes to perform the task. Generally it is not recommended to do so due to the timing tight work at office hours. Most of the office user prefer to do after working hours leaving their PC on for scanning. To Win 7 & Win 8 do not have an auto-off function after completion of the task of "Check Disk". The PC must be on during the night after scanning.

For energy saving, I would suggest a new feature that allows the user to choose to shut down their PC when the task is completed.

    Thank you

    Low

    Hey Joe,

Thanks for the code of your order.

Can I know how to run this command? I still have to go in my computer > C drive > right click > properties > tool > Check Disk to perform this task?

I use the desktop PC network in which I am not an administrator, what I'm looking for the assistance of the administrator to create this file in my PC?

If I want to check the disk with this command, do window 7 / 8 allow me to do?

    Thank you

    Low

    Hello

Thanks for the reply. The commands shown above are content to a Windows batch file. You simply create the Windows batch file using Notepad. The steps posted above shows how to create a file Windows specific command and its content. It then saves at a given location. You can then open the Windows created batch file to process orders (content).

No, it's all just a new file, we create with the .bat extension so that Windows will understand that the file we will create a Windows batch file. Thus, we will be able to run these commands at the command prompt. In DOS, OS/2and also Microsoft Windows, the batch file is the name given to a type of script file, a text file containing a series of commands to be executed by the Shell.
Unfortunately, chkdsk requires administrator privileges to run correctly. You need to run the command of Windows as Administrator file to run all the commands, but you don't need administrator privileges to create the file. Even check the disc from the properties of the disc requires administrator privileges. You must be the administrator of your operating system, but not the administrator of your network.
Windows will not prompt you to rerun the command of Windows as Administrator file. Instead, it will show you an error message indicating that you are not an administrator, and the command will not run if the Windows command file, you try to run contains commands that require administrator privileges, and you tried to run the command of Windows under a limited user account file. To avoid this problem, start the batch file to Windows as an administrator to ensure that all commands in the Windows batch file will run correctly.
The commands shown above will do the following
    • Turn off echo command
    • Scan the drive DriveLetter errors found during the analysis of fixation
    • Shut down the computer after 0 seconds
Note: to run a particular file as administrator, right click on the file and select run as administrator
    Thank you
    I hope this helps :)
  • Free auto-off setting on multiple virtual machines

    Hello

I have several machines, I want to set the "auto-off free" Annotation on IT.

    I tried this

Set-Annotation -Entity "VMname" -CustomAttribute "Auto-shutdown Exempt" -Value ON

which works fine on 1 machine

I created a folder and moved the VMs and tried

Set-Annotation -Entity "folder name" -CustomAttribute "Auto-shutdown Exempt" -Value ON

    but it did not work.

I think I need to use the

    Get-file 'xxxx '. Set Annotation - entity $host - CustomAttribute "-free auto-off" - value WE

But what value goes after - entity?

I don't want to list all the names of virtual machine

    Thanks in advance

    You can try:

    Get-file 'xxxx '. Get - VM | Set Annotation - CustomAttribute "-free auto-off" - value WE

solved... I couldn't wait and had to call the excellent support... credit MS Bus support!

McAfee Viruscan has caused the problem of corrupt the windows\system32\svchost.exe file.

I fixed it by replacing the file svchost.exe with a good known of xp sp3... and McAfee update to the latest DAT files.

Because him copy / paste was dead, I had to use DOS or cmd.exe to copy the file from a USB key.

  • Windows error after auto-off

My laptop turns off automatically when left unattended.
It seems to be in hibernation and I pressed the button TO turn it off.
When I turn it on again, I get a Windows error, one with the ' send report / do not send report.
    Message.

Can someone tell me what is the cause?

I saw this on laptop to friend (s) (WXP) a long time ago. No doubt some Microsoft process that runs in the background causes this error message, but we discover that one.
My friend was so frustrated on this matter and that he would not seek the solution. He installed the operating system again and after a clean OS install, everything was OK again.

Can you please tell us what operating system do you use?

    Have implemented

    automatically dim backlight: WE

    Any thoughts?

See if a simple reboot will correct it. A reboot fixes more often the simplest glitches.

With the BlackBerry device powered time, remove battery for a few seconds and then reinsert the battery to restart.

  • Auto OFF Dreamweaver refreshing files

Auto-refresh files Dreamweaver is causing a problem with our cloud storage.  If we don't save every few minutes, we lose all our changes because Dreamweaver reloads the previous saved version of the file.  How can I stop this?

This usually occurs on a computer, because Dreamweaver is informed that the file you are using is the same as that on the disk.  But for some reason it isn't do this on the cloud, and then it reloads the old version, overwriting your changes.

    Thank you

    Nicola

In the Site Manager (remote server-> advanced), you can disable "maintain synchronization" and "load automatically...". »

I've never had those put on the market. I much prefer to decide when the file should be downloaded.

  • How can I disable the auto off message Office?

need to leave the Office response

Usually, configure you it via webmail.

If you set up in thunderbird, then you would have had to leave your computer connected to your user account, Thunderbird running and connected to the internet. Not really a very safe option if you are not at home with the computer, so why people set up in webmail.
You have set up a message filter and created a Template e-mail so he could use.
so if there is no email template and Message Filter to disable in Thunderbird, then it is not Thunderbird, it is the server.
Suggest you connect to webmail and check your settings.
