Windows error after auto-off

My laptop turns off automatically when left unattended.
It seems to be in hibernation and I pressed the button TO turn it off.
When I turn it on again, I get a Windows error, one with the ' send report / do not send report.
Message.

Can someone tell me what is the cause?

I saw this on laptop to friend (s) (WXP) a long time ago. No doubt some Microsoft process that runs in the background causes this error message, but we discover that one.
My friend was so frustrated on this matter and that he would not seek the solution. He installed the operating system again and after a clean OS install, everything was OK again.

Can you please tell us what operating system do you use?

  • Lose the bookmark after auto-off

I recently bought a Sansa Clip 4 GB because I read that it has good bookmarking features; However, I am having a little trouble with it.

I listen to the really long (6 hour radio shows) mp3 files I record from my computer, so the bookmarking feature is a must.  However, I find that so Auto-est under tension (i.e.  -> Power-> Auto Power setting->-> 10 minutes), the bookmark is lost after the power-auto-off device and the reader can read the MP3 from the beginning when I turn on the player.  Anyone else see this issue?

Mp3 files are placed in the "AUDIO" folder (so the bookmarks should be configured automatically), and I have the latest firmwire (V02.01.32A) installed.

  • User - Auto-Off function after comments "Check disk" for Win 7 & Win 8 is over

    Hello

Hard disk for error checking and fixing it is a routine system for Office PC network maintenance, if the user is to have performance at all times.

The last PC has a hard drive of 500 GB to 1 TB size and many files for sanning. If will take about 10-20 minutes to perform the task. Generally it is not recommended to do so due to the timing tight work at office hours. Most of the office user prefer to do after working hours leaving their PC on for scanning. To Win 7 & Win 8 do not have an auto-off function after completion of the task of "Check Disk". The PC must be on during the night after scanning.

For energy saving, I would suggest a new feature that allows the user to choose to shut down their PC when the task is completed.

    Hey Joe,

Thanks for the code of your order.

Can I know how to run this command? I still have to go in my computer > C drive > right click > properties > tool > Check Disk to perform this task?

I use the desktop PC network in which I am not an administrator, what I'm looking for the assistance of the administrator to create this file in my PC?

If I want to check the disk with this command, do window 7 / 8 allow me to do?

    Thank you

    Low

    Hello

Thanks for the reply. The commands shown above are content to a Windows batch file. You simply create the Windows batch file using Notepad. The steps posted above shows how to create a file Windows specific command and its content. It then saves at a given location. You can then open the Windows created batch file to process orders (content).

No, it's all just a new file, we create with the .bat extension so that Windows will understand that the file we will create a Windows batch file. Thus, we will be able to run these commands at the command prompt. In DOS, OS/2and also Microsoft Windows, the batch file is the name given to a type of script file, a text file containing a series of commands to be executed by the Shell.
Unfortunately, chkdsk requires administrator privileges to run correctly. You need to run the command of Windows as Administrator file to run all the commands, but you don't need administrator privileges to create the file. Even check the disc from the properties of the disc requires administrator privileges. You must be the administrator of your operating system, but not the administrator of your network.
Windows will not prompt you to rerun the command of Windows as Administrator file. Instead, it will show you an error message indicating that you are not an administrator, and the command will not run if the Windows command file, you try to run contains commands that require administrator privileges, and you tried to run the command of Windows under a limited user account file. To avoid this problem, start the batch file to Windows as an administrator to ensure that all commands in the Windows batch file will run correctly.
The commands shown above will do the following
    • Turn off echo command
    • Scan the drive DriveLetter errors found during the analysis of fixation
    • Shut down the computer after 0 seconds
Note: to run a particular file as administrator, right click on the file and select run as administrator
    Thank you
    I hope this helps :)

  • Cannot connect to Windows 7 and after stabilizing off (cold boot), got a message bootmgr is missing.

I went ahead and shut down my computer last night as I do every night. When I got home and turned on, I got a message to connect. I've never had to do before. It's a desktop pc. I use my laptop for that. Then when I turned it off (cold boot), after that, I got a message saying that the bootmgr is missing. Then, after that, I had no choice but to do a system restore. I found one of my Seagate external drive, which took most of my info on (until it became full and I could save is nothing else). So, after I recover most of the important things, I'll buy another external hard drive to back up my info, I should have backed up before. I must have got a virus. I don't know how, if.

    Hi Dotty,

Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

The description of the question, I understand you are facing a problem with Windows 7 login and you also mentioned that, when you have disabled (cold boot), you got a message bootmgr is missing.

I appreciate if you could answer a few questions.

    1. What is the model of your computer?

    2. don't you make changes before this problem?

    3. you have backup DVD for Windows 7?

The most common reason for BOOTMGR is missing include boot, responsible for the initialization of the operating system are either corrupt or missing. Another reason is that if the computer is trying to boot from a hard drive or flash drive that is not configured correctly.

I suggest you follow the methods provided on the KB article below and see if that fixes the problem.

  • Windows Media Player C00D11BA error after upgrade (?) to Windows 8.1 8.0 on the urge

    Please advise,

    Mike

    Hi Mike,.

    Try the following.

Download IDT Audio Installer on the link below and save it in your downloads folder.

    http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp63501-64000/sp63555.exe

One time finished, open windows control panel, open Device Manager and open sound, video and game controllers.  Right click on the IDT device and select uninstall - also, you should get a command prompt to delete the current driver, check the box allow this and then proceed to uninstall.

Once complete, download and reinstall the Chipset driver from the link below.

    Chipset Driver - Windows 8.1

When you're done, shut down the laptop by holding down the SHIFT key when you click Shutdown to temporrily prevent a hybrid boot.

Only start the laptop and let Windows load completely - it will automatically load an audio driver, but let just this complete.  Then open your download folder, right-click on the IDT Installer and select "Run as Administrator" to launch the installation.  Once this done, do a right-click the speaker icon in the taskbar and select playback devices.  'Speakers and headphones' left click once to highlight, and then click the Set Default button - restart the computer and try to play the mp3 file.
