  I speak not of advertising videos.  It seems that there is a new trend that sites add the AutoPlay videos as part of their normal textual content.  It's really annoying to try to read the article and have this semi-connexes video game.

  You won't be able to do this in Finder - if you select several that eventually it will play at the same time. You need a program that allows you to create a playlist. iTunes can do that, but it comes to copy the files into it, so this isn't really what you want. You should be able to do it with the free VLC Player: http://www.videolan.org/vlc/download-macosx.html

  I have mp3s on my computer that I want to play in Firefox, but when I drag a window in the browser appears as if I'm trying to download it.   Recently, I've provided a customer with a new Satellite Pro L450 - 13P (Windows 7 Professional). He came back to me the a few days saying it was a great laptop but CD / DVD will not auto play. I googled this problem and I tried all kinds of solutions suggested, including the various changes of registry, uninstall and reinstall the device DVD driver, unchecking and rechecking always use AutoPlay box everything has failed.

  I have a Toshiba Satellite A200 (Vista) and thought I would try to insert an automatic game disc in my drive. To my astonishment, my laptop had developed the same problem, it used to auto play, but now it doesn't.

  Any assistance people can give me in this matter is accepted with gratitude.

  As far as I know autoplay can be set to Autoplay settings (Control Panel).
  There you can define what should happen when you insert each type of media or device.
  For example, I have all the options set to ask me every time.
  Have you tried to change these settings?

  Have you tested with different media?

  If you have noticed that mean the same thing on your laptop computer you have tested with the same support as your client?

  I recently encountered a problem with Windows Media Player 11 (a specific version in the title of the topic) where no sound play atall when you try to play mp3 files. When trying to play a track of the progress indicator moves VERY slowly and jumps in a stuttering mode and no sound whatsoever is coming through the speakers. He is a recent problem.

  All audio files work on other audio programs like Real player, quick time e.t.c. and the sound comes from the computer normally. Only the sound that I have are with windows media player when you try to play mp3 files. Still fine read video files, wav files play fine. How boring is that he suddenly decided he likes are more mp3 files!

  More annoying, I stumbled upon the fact that I can't uninstall the reader as in Vista, it is part of the operating system literal, I can't download and install WMP install package from Microsoft because I tried and it tells me that I have a more recent version of Windows media player and therefore impossible to use the downloaded Setup program to install or repair windows media player. It is therefore impossible for me to get an installation package that is newer than the one on the computer, you would have thought that the downloadable installation on the microsoft Web site would be the more recent but no!

  FIXED!

  randomly enough rate and bit depth format sample somehow has set high in the sound control panel, advanced driver.

  After hitting "restore defaults" it resets the depth of rate and little sample return at: 16 bit 44.1 khz

  The sound now plays perfectly.

  Weird it performs only mp3 files!

  Thanks for the help people, it seems that I ended up sorting out on my own though! Yay for me! haha
