• Auto sleep mode will disrupt a current backup procedure?

  Whenever I run a computer backup program, I find that the backup is never completed.  I wonder if the computer auto sleep mode disrupts the ongoing backup process.

  I was getting the same problem and changed the backup parameters does not not not libraries. After I installed Windows 7 I had removed all default libraries and replace them with symbolic links to my NAS drive that is be the same drive as my backup was put in place to save on.

  Once, I removed the libraries from the list of the items to back up, it worked.

  I'm new to LabView programming so I need some advice from you guys... My goal to use the labview is to calculate the dynamic mass or the apparent mass of the human subject in a rigid seat. The dynamic mass is calculated as the ratio between the cross of the spectrum between strength and signal acceleartion so that the autospectre of the Basic acceleration signal that LabVIEW can be done using FRF. I've attcahed the VI tht I created in order to calculate the FRF and spectrum of auto for the force and acceleration of Basic. Number of samples = 1024, rate = 100 Hz and the acquisition mode is continuous for the acquisition of data. Acquired signals were filtered using a lowpass with cut filter off = 25 Hz frequency as my frequency range is from 0.5 to 20 Hz. the number of averages = 6, with an average of mode = RMS average weight = linear mode. This basically the implementation that I use for my experiments. Now coming to my questions... I would like to record the time signal for both strength and Basic acceleration to do some post treatment how to do that in Labview? Here I have to say that getting two coulmns of data were only one column is for the moment and the next is for the data of force (or acceleration), with my setting I have 6000 samples for 6 medium.

  For preliminary tests, I used a rigid seat to acquire the strength and the Basic acceleration signal in Labview DAQ. the stage in this case should be about zero, but the answer in step with the VI me different gives a value of 180 degrees. I would like also to say that for some of the iteration, the value tends to zero, but after only 6 average it shows me about 180 degrees phase. Iwould wish I had some comments from that aspect also.

  from Labview code, as well as a program compiled with Labview runtime?

  Now, I can set the Express Assistant DAQ vi in the block diagram, but cannot be changed during execution.

  But the configuration of data acquisition is not static. The end user must change.

  A similar dialogue is used inside the Measurement & Automation Explorer with a task global DAQmx.

  Can I call this dialog of Labview?

• How long to get the simple multifunctoin DAQ in Labview?

  I am doing some digital simple, slow and analog I/o. on 5 channels in total, 1 second update rate is very good.

  I tried to connect an Arduino to Labview / PC, but was unable to make things work.

  I'm using something like the USB-6001, want to read / write a few pins in in Labview.

  experience with Labview - file IO, tracing, etc.

  Would I be able to get running with this USB-6001 in a few hours?

  any suggestion is appreciated.

  My current record is 20 minutes on a cDAQ while explaining the program to a novice and pulling on the material and sensors of the stock.  Yes, I started by measuring and logging (DAQmx) project template.  Room temperature was 19 c average of 3 sensors and my armpit read C 37 - I have more access to the server where the data has been saved.

  I wait a while before trying again, because it is a free upgrade for one year from July 29, 2015 and wait about 3 to 6 months then try as I'm sure you're not the only one and that it should have a number of bugs from December to March 2016 time period.

  Also create a backup of Windows 7 Image before you start the upgrade process. If something goes wrong, it will be another path to Windows 7 if the Roll Back option (restore Windows 7) doesn't work.

• Mutilates absorbent signals using MCC DAQ in Labview (error 10017)

  Hi all

  I'm working on a project that requires me to acquire several singals of a MCC DAQ and I tried a few differnet ways to do and can not understand. In the attached file, the upper part is the issue. The first waveform that I acquire works perfectly, but when I have duplicate and try to get another it shows a read error and displays a tip and a flat line then in the waveform table. I don't know if it's with the for loop or what. Any suggestion would be appreciated.

  Do NOT duplicate the it. Use a single task with many listed channels - Dev1\ai0:1.

  Use card 1608FS USB with LabVIEW. I'm trying to find a way of checking the connection card when my application is initialized. I tried to use GetBoard.VI, but it gives the same answer, even if I remove the card in the port. Any idea on how to detect if the card is connected or not?

  Hi Anil,

  Underlying InstaCal driver of MC allows logic card numbers to assign 0 to 99.   You can call GetBoard.VI for each number of the logical map that you anticipate may be used, which (as you pointed out) will get the name of the Board of Directors of InstaCal.   If the returned string is empty, the error returned is 1, then there is no Board configured in InstaCal for this issue of the logic board.   However, as you said, if the physical Board is not present in the system (like a USB on Board having previously set in InstaCal but currently unplugged or not powered, you will get the error = 0 and you will always have the string name.

  So, to check if a card is really installed in the system, since the MC driver has no function equivalent to "is actually this Council?", you should try to perform a physical read to the Commission, then call TIN.VI (temperature), AI.VI (voltage) or DIN.VI (digital). If the returned error is = 0, then the Council is present.  If the error code is 1, the Council is not present.  If the error code is another number, then the test is somehow invalid (for example, ask to perform a function that is not supported on this board model, or on a port that does not exist on the map or the channel number).

• Auto lock mode: how to disable?

  Great when you're on Walkabout with your laptop, when I'm at home, laptop plugged in, I don't want my laptop to keep coming back to a login screen every few minutes.

  I am on a Thinkpad E520 running Windows 64 bit professional.     Here's what I've tried so far without success:

  (1)--> control Panel--> Power Options I have everything "maximum performance" put and disabled the display standby timers.

  (2) control Panel--> Lenovo - camera-enhanced security--> I have disabled camera and timers recognition features.

  (3) Board of control--> Lenovo Power Manager--> I disabled all timers.

  Disabling the options in the control panel areas above doesn't seem to affect the automatic protection feature.    This automatic locking descent touch is driving me crazy at home, the only consolation is that the fingerprint reader makes it a little easier to get back in once the laptop goes down.    It's like a terrible screensaver you hate that cannot be disabled.

  How this auto-lock feature is turned off?   Ideally it should be a big button available in the toolbar you can push: walk - stop.   This way you can easily turn the timer on and off with a single action suites.

  But for the moment, I can't find anything in the control panel or from the taskbar which turns off this lock automatic descent touch.

  Where is he?

  I do not know... I uninstalled the function with all enterprise-level random stuff that was on the system that I don't use.

• Auto switching mode WIFI / 3G with Jade liquid

  I'm looking for a way to leave the wlan, always active and give it a priority over 3 g - data, but still be able to use a data connection - 3 g active when out and about, and the phone did not find a wlan signal known.

  Currently the only way to get a connection to the 3g - data is to disable the wlan functionality.

  Problem with this is that if I forgot to come back when I get home my precious 300 MB/month of data is quickly exhausted as the non-active home wlan.

  How to prioritize wlan but who have still a 3g data usable when no known wlan is connected?

  So how cards DAQ in Labview 8.5, which are manufactured by other suppliers that NEITHER? Should I DAQmx (or some other driver) for that?

  What are the other drivers/components required to access of data PCI-1602 (device) of LabView 8.5 acquisition card?

  (1602-PCI card driver are installed in my win XP and dispalyed in Device Manager).

  Please provide some tutorial above mentioned the problem to interface.

  According to what you do with the DAQ cards, they can do the job however, from experience, there are some functions that I could achieve with the cards NOR that I couldn't with 3rd-party maufacturers.  This does not mean that this is your case. However, it is worth noting that it took me a while to understand why the code has worked with a single data acquisition card (NOR) but not another (Non-OR).

  The drivers that you have installed may or may not include examples and code in VI.  They may be DLL.  If this is the case, you can write LabVIEW "Wrappers" around these functions, as it will simplify your life.  If the drivers are in the form of DLLs, and there are no examples of LabvIEW or available VI, you must read on node library function call.

  It could be a hardware or a firmware related issue.

  You try to perform a reset of the base unit and also try to send new firmware.

  The device may need to be tested with additional troubleshooting steps, so I would say to make an appeal for support through your regional HP Support channel.

• Extend Mode: Auto Best Effort - impossible to extend the call

  Hello. For a specific weekly regular call, we sometimes get the following message is displayed when the system is trying to extend the call without success.

  There are enough resources on the MCU and the participants in the call are not planned for all calls up to a few hours later.  Yet, we get this message.

  We have TMS 14.3.2, 8.1 VCS and MCU5320 40 standard def port implemented.

  We checked our conferences listed and we do not see a conflict with participants during the call.

  We considered change the automatic setting of 'Best Effort' to 'Point endpoint at short notice. But anyone know if master VC can substitute a conflict between the extension and a call to one of the participants?  Or a solution (not a work around as modifyin tear down buffer setting)?

  I've not being updated yet myself, but I have some scenarios that could benefit auto extension mode too.
