Automatic calibration of the brightness

Hello

Is it possible to calibrate the automatic brightness on the iPad Pro?

I have two identical Pros iPad and iPad Air and an iPhone 6 +. Auto brightness on each of them. All devices are on iOS 9.2. I noticed that among the Pros of the iPad is always better than the other and the other two aircraft. He has also reached the level of maximum brightness for ambient light lower than other devices. I fear that this would have a negative impact on the overall battery life.

To illustrate this phenomenon, three pictures are a test I performed at different, relatively low, ambient light intensities. I started from total darkness, then increased gradually, the ambient light. One can easily notice the iPad Pro in the upper part is always brighter than the rest. One can also notice that the brightness slider is at different places for the two Pros from the iPad.

Is there anything that could be done for the second iPad Pro have the same brightness auto like the rest?

Thank you for your help.

Michael

Anyone, please?...

Thank you.

  • Automatic change of the brightness makes me crazy

I recently bought a Dell computer laptop 14z and am now seriously returning. The main problem that I face is the auto brightness/contrast settings made by the display. This * is not * linked to ambient light - in my case, the system changes the brightness/contrast of the screen as a result of which appears on the screen.

In my search for a solution, I did the following:

1 disabled Adaptive brightness in the settings of Windows 8.

2 disabled "Power Saving Technology" in the Intel Graphics Control Panel. I also disabled 'Adaptive contrast improvement' in the media menu of the control panel.

    3. I * tried * Dell display turned off smart technology, but this option is missing from my quick setting menu.

    4. Finally, I looked to disable these changes of in the BIOS.

My efforts have not come to much. I would be grateful if anyone has any suggestions Otherwise, I'll send this laptop back as soon as I can - it is quite ridiculous that I have set a new machine within days to get it (not to mention the fact that it came without a driver for the second graphics card!)

  • Automatic operation of the brightness

I have a Snugg Silicone cover for my iPad 2 Air.  When I put it on my iPad and the "Automatic brightness" control is in auto mode, the screen becomes the minimum brightness. To return to normal display to the ratings, I put the manual control to adjust it. I guess that I do not understand how works the light sensor. It seems to me that if you cover the sensor with something that opaque the result should be the opposite of what I feel. The Snugg sleeve is black, so it must block all light reaching the sensor if it is positioned above. Can someone explain how the sensor of the iPad, and where it is located. I could find very little information on how it works.

  • Automatically adjusts the brightness with the background of the window.

This is a fairly long description of the question, but I tried to be as complete as possible (this looks like a minor problem but it's very embarrassing in the conditions I work often) I have a laptop Dell Inspiron under Windows 7 Home Premium, and I'm having a problem with the brightness of the screen. I was not able to locate any other positions, even with a similar problem:

Windows automatically adjusts the brightness of the screen based on the background color of any windows is open. When the toggle between light/dark background brightness will increase or decrease respectively. This is unrelated to all conditions of lightning of the room, and I was able to nail that this occurs only when two conditions are met (but she she 100% reproducible in these conditions) 1. Laptop is running on battery and 2. the screen brightness slider is calibrated for lower brightness about settings up to about 30 to 40%.
I tried to eliminate all possible variables that I can think of, including the diagnosis via msconfig startup. This automatic brightness adjustment occurs independently of the program or the window involved, but here's an example where I cut everything and simply alternate between the Windows desktop (including the black background value) and Windows Explorer (white background).
EXAMPLE 1: Desktop (black) came, no agenda. I open Windows Explorer (white) and the brightness fades gradually more light for a period of 5 seconds, tick-tick-tick-tick-tick brighter. I reduce Windows Explorer (dark back) and the brightness fades gradually more dark, tick-tick-tick-tick darker. When working in a darkened room this very annoying constant increase or decrease the brightness. Note that the brightness slider is set to the minimum setting all this time (about 40% of the automatic erasure is more noticeable at the point of annoying, even if it is always present, but 40% is way too bright for a darkened room).
EXAMPLE 2: I opened two tabs in Google Chrome or Internet Explorer (that happens for two and all the other programs besides), in a tab of the page Web has a dark background (grey/brick/whatever) while the other tab has a light background (white/yellow/whatever). As I switch between tabs brightness will decrease after the passage in the darker background and rise after the transition to the lighter background, tick-tick-tick-tick-tick discoloration with about 5 seconds each time.
Since this only occurs on battery you need just a simple setting in Power Options, but I don't the do have not yet localized as and option. I would be grateful all the ideas, and I can provide more information if necessary. Two solutions would be acceptable
    (A) brightness remains constant at the level that I put it independently to know if the laptop is plugged in or on battery power.
    (B) brightness adjusts in a single 'jump' when switch between light/dark circles, rather than erasing more than 5 seconds.
    Thanks for your help

In fact, after a lot of research and work of suggestions other people, I think I found a solution that works on my machine. (I'm saying I think because I shot to the top of a black web page, he gave way to the screen for a while and looked and seems not to reduce intensity, but I'm a little worried that it's just top-down influence and I just wanted to believe that I solved the problem...)

    Here's what I did (on my Toshiba);
Control Panel > display > adjust the resolution
Click on 'Advanced settings' (a small blue link in the drop-down "Orientation").
Click on tab "Intel (R) Graphics and Media Control Panel"
    Graphics properties
    Power > power features
Click the menu drop-down and select 'on battery '. Under this drop-down menu, there is a checkbox next to "Display Power Saving Technology" that only appears when "on battery" is selected. On my computer, the box has been checked. I've disabled, and who seems to have stopped the display to change the brightness according to the color of the window.
I hope this works for some other people (and indeed works for me) - this seems to be a very rare but incredibly annoying problem for those of us who got it.

  • Cannot adjust the brightness of the laptop monitor

I'm not sure when this problem started, but I'm guessing it's when I've updated my graphics driver (Nvidia) or software of the chipset (Intel).

After a while, I noticed that my brightness keyboard shortcuts were not working, but other hotkeys (touchpad, volume, sleep, wi - fi, bluetooth, etc.) were still working.

Since I use my laptop for most on my desk with the max brightness settings, I ignored it for a while.

When I happened to use up the outside of the battery, the monitor went automatically minimum brightness settings.

I tried to find the brightness slider in the control panel or the mobility Center, but they have been missing.

The options for the Adaptive brightness disappeared as well.

Now I don't see a way to adjust the brightness of my.

I tried a variety of suggestions available on the web, including:

    create a new user account,

    validation of account information,

Remove and reinstall the driver for the monitor,

search for 'brilliance' in the start menu,

    re-installation of software hotkey,

rolling back the graphics drivers and chipset (from those provided by the manufacturer).

I spoke with a Microsoft support for topic a couple of hours, still no luck (he was very nice anyway).

If anyone is suggesting the control panel Windows or Nvidia color grading, I don't mean for those, since I need to adjust the brightness of the backlight of the screen, not software-ish of calibration of the colours on the screen.

I use Windows 7 Ultimate on CLEVO M860TU with monitor Chi Mei N154Z1-L02

I am looking for a way to restore the brightness sliders, or at least to adjust the brightness manually.

When I had to happen, I was able to restore by doing this:

    (1) open Device Manager

    (2) right click and uninstall the monitor (not the graphics driver, but the monitor specifically)

    3) click on the "Scan for new hardware" button on the toolbar above

    (4) try to use the brightness slider functions once again (either in Center of energy or mobility settings).

Has worked for me, I would like to know if it helps you too.

  • Adjust the brightness of the keyboard of the computer instead of the keyboard?

Yesterday, I spilled some coffee on my keyboard and the computer works well, but my keyboard does not work.  I bought a wireless keyboard to use and it works perfectly, except that the keyboard of my laptop backlight is always on.  I can't figure out how to turn off without using the f5 and f6, keys that don't work on the laptop, so how can I disable this light without using the keyboard?  F5 and f6 don't work on the original keyboard at all, and on the outside, they do not work to adjust the brightness.

    Try this:

Go to system-> keyboard Preferences, and in the keyboard tab, disable(uncheck) automatically "illuminate the keyboard in the dark.

Hi TheWeav, the article you mentioned is for the new phones of filed. Is your question about one of those or Firefox on your Windows XP system?

Versions of Firefox for desktop computers do not have a brightness adjustment. You can adjust the brightness of your display using the global setting for Windows, which may include some special on your keyboard function keys or a Windows Control Panel.

If you want only to adjust the brightness of the pages in Firefox - to moderate the white backgrounds, for example - you could try an add-on.

You can find a good solution?

  • Calibration of the monitor on the Satellite L755-18Z

    Hello world

    Here's a question:
    My screen is very bright.
In NVIDIA Control Panel, I have 2 choices:
    1. other applications control color settings
    2 use the NVIDIA settings

If I choose nr. 2 - everything works well until the next reboot - ' other applications (I guess Windows OS) "takes over - monitor is very bright once again, and I need to go to the NVIDIA Control Panel and apply 'use NVIDIA settings' again. (However, the brand remains in option 2, and I have to mark opt. 1, then mark opt. 2 again and press the "Apply" button). Everything is a bit irritating.

Someone knows what to do in this situation?

    Hello

Check out this Microsoft page on the color management settings
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/change-color-management-settings

Very interesting the calibration of the screen part where you can find a step by step instruction how to enable disable calibration loading Windows.

It seems that the standard calibration of Windows crushes the nVidia settings and in my opinion, this could be resolved by disabling the Windows calibration.

  • Is there a way to disable the brightness on my keyboard keys?

It's really bad if I accidentally hit my keyboard brightness keys because my monitor must be calibrated very at all times since I was a photographer.  Someone knows how to turn off these keys I don't accidentally hit?

    Thank you!

There is a way to disable ALL the F1, F2, etc. keys, but I don't think there's a way to just disable these two keys.

 > System Preferences > keyboard > keyboard (tab) > check "use all F1, F2, keys as standard function keys etc.

Note that this will prevent all Mac controls, associated with the F1, F2, etc. keys. While this check box is selected, you can still use the features such as the brightness and spaces, but you need to hold the function (fn) key while pressing F1...

This will allow to use the Pause/Play, spaces, Launchpad and keys of brightness by pressing fn and then the F1, press F2 etc to the action you want.

    Hope this helps

  • Satellite Pro 440cdx - how can I change the brightness or contrast

My screen is weak and hard to see objects on the screen, any advice will be more welcome.many thanks for any help.

    Hello

The brightness of the display can be changed by pressing the FN or FN + F6, F7 key combination.
The contrast could not be changed on the screens of laptops that it is set automatically.

But if it of very difficult to see anything on the screen, then an FL inverter may default.
The fl inverter is a small part that controls the brightness of the display.
Maybe it s need to be replaced.

  • Impossible to add an external monitor or adjust the brightness of the screen: Pavilion dv7-4031TX (Windows 7)

    Hello

I recently replaced both hard drives of HDD2K12, which meant I had to re-enstall Windows 7. Since that time, I have no options more in using an external monitor or even the brightness of the screen. The computer does not recognize the monitor when I Plug and all my drivers are up to date.

Can you make suggestions that could help to solve these two problems?

    Kind regards

    Peter

Thanks to find the links but I could not find the drivers I need for a Pavilion dv7-4031TX.

However I finally managed to fix the problem. Let me summarize what has been my problem.

    (1) I could not adjust the brightness of the screen by using the function keys f2 and f3.

    (2) I couldn't find the brightness slider if it was generally... i.e. (control Panel\Hardware and Options of Sound\Power)

    (3) my laptop would not recognize an external monitor.

    How I solved the problem:

    1 > pass.

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=ob-95107-1 & CC = in the & DLC = in & LC = on & os = 4063 & Product = 4253423 & sw_lang =

and go to the graphics driver and download the graphics driver and follow the directions. At the end of the installation you will be asked to restart the computer.

0nce you have restarted your computer, you should be able to adjust the brightness of the screen using the fn keys or the brightness slider in the window 'power Option '.

    2 > Activting 2nd monitor

Click on Device Manager... At start-> right click on 'Computer' and click 'properties '. Click on "Device Manager". Now click on "monitors".

Now connect the exernal monitor to your laptop while watching where the monitor icon appears under "monitors". It should appear as 'Generic PNP monitor'.

Now, right-click on it and select "update driver software... "then search automatically for updated drivers. Install the new drivers. You should see the generic 'PNP monitor' name change to another name.

3 > restart your computer. You should find that after doing all this, you should be back to normal.

Hello. I have an iMac end of 2015 with the retina from 5K to the address 27. I do a lot of photography and want to calibrate the screen.
