Automatic failover of server, not exactly by using CSS to load balancing?
Hello
I investigated the use of the unique CSS11501 box to meet a specific requirement of customers for what follows.
A sticky connection to a Winframe Cluster(client side) to a backend via a VIP web servers. The reason for the sticky connection with the main server is that there are additional servers providing services to two servers independent backend web service VIP.
Most traffic on the client side will come to a limited set of ip addresses (or maybe even one) that represents the many winframe unique sessions i.e.unique browser sessions. I think that this can be achieved by using Cookies. Is this OK and there at - it another way to do this?
In the background that VIP must use only the web server main, even though he is active/available, but have the ability to switch automatically to a second server, if one breaks down.
I believe that it is possible to use a script or the HTTP protocol in the service keepalive. My question is what balancing method can be used to achieve this type of active / standby (HSRP) as a feature on the CCS for Services (Servers) attached?
Thanks in advance,
Regan
Regan,
1 cookie should be used to stickyness if ip addresses is not allowed.
2 check the functionality of the backend I'm sorry.
This allows you to configure the normal servers [or one] who will receive all traffic and if they are all declining, the sorry server will be used.
So in your case, the backup server will be defined as server sorry.
The command you need is primary sorryserver under the definition of the content rule.
Kind regards
Gilles.

Using 2 vNIC load balancing?
Hi all
I was wondering if I attribute to a vNIC VM 2, there will be no tolerance of failure/load balancing on this configuration? We have some Symantec devices on whitch it comes as a recommendation.
Thank you!

In this case there will be load-balanced, no?
Not really... If you comment using a vNIC enormously and one not one alone, traffic is not get distributed also on the bears from the vSwitch.
There are other policies available that might better integrate according to the virtual computer tasks to perform. A virtual file server with a vNIC could better to run on IP hash strategy. In this case, the IP addresses of the communication partners are used to spread the load (at the level of vSwitch). As a file server usually communicates with more than one host, you get a better distribution of the load.
If you have smart switches that support a protocol for load balancing you can use.

the service windows defender on local computer started and then stopped. Some services stop automatically if they are not in use by other services or programs.
Hello
read this information on the Defender:
· If you use microsoft security essentials avg avira mcafee norton etc they disable the vista version of windows defender by default
the basics of Microsoft security has its own version of windows defender
and other anti-virus programs use their own particular type of application to scan for spyware and malware
It of nothing to worry and is the default action, which is designed for them to do
If the above does not apply to your machine to read the information on the below link on how to disable the windows defender service in vista or make an autostart to enable
and here is the method to remove it from startup in vista
http://www.groovypost.com/HOWTO/Microsoft/Vista/remove-Windows-Defender-from-Vista-system-startup/
and this is how you would normally activate or disable windows defender in vista from within defenders of own and options tools
http://www.groovypost.com/HOWTO/Microsoft/Vista/disable-Windows-Defender-for-Microsoft-Vista/
and read this information to microsoft:
Error message when you run Windows Defender: «Error 0x800106ba»
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/931849
and if you need to change startup programs read this information on the other methods of doing it without using defender
using msconfig read this tutorial;
How to use MSCONFIG in Windows Vista
Here's how to use MSCONFIG in Windows Vista to disable some unnecessary programs that load automatically at startup
http://netsquirrel.com/Msconfig/msconfig_vista.html
and also try this program;
This utility, which has a knowledge of auto-starting locations of any startup monitor, shows you what programs configured to run at system startup or login and that the entries in the order of processing windows. These programs include those in your startup folder, Run, RunOnce, and other registry keys. You can configure Autoruns to show other locations, including Explorer shell, toolbar extensions, helper objects to the browser, Winlogon notifications, auto and many start-up services more

It may sound crazy that I am answering my own post. As he complains about MigrationBasis. I tried to go to the config.xml file and changed
Cluster-0 unicast database TO
Cluster-0 unicast consensus And at least I was able to restart Server Admin and go to the Server Admin page. The Cluster-> Configuration-> Migration is always on view from database as the basis for Migration.

Stop the 'Server not found' messages where ads used to be.
Installed Hostsman and get now 'server not found' and other details where all the ads used to be on the web pages.
A way to stop the messages?
Thank youYou can check on the support site Hostsman.

I use mozilla firefox and windows xp home edition. I connect to Wildblue satellite internet. For the past 2 weeks, I feel a constant need to refresh the page, when I try to start firefox or click to open another tab. I get "server not found" error page where I click try again several times. I had internet connection problems resolution which took place nothing. I unplugged my router for up to an hour and everything seems Ok for a very short time, then the whole process repeats. At this point, I am at a loss. I don't know if it's computer related or linked Wildblue because all that was fine until this past 2 weeks or more. I pay a lot per month for this flat internet and so I would like to get this resolved.
You should probably Wildblue call and see if they can diagnose their link and see if they have problems.

\\XXXDesktop\SharedDocs is not accessible. You are not allowed to use this network resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have the permission to access. Not enough server storage is available to process this command.
I got the above message when I tried to access my room servert pc (XP Pro with Service Pack 3) from another pc Client (XP Home Edition with service pack 3) on a network share. I see all class document & readers who share in my network places on both PCs.
There is no problem when I have access to XP Home Edition of XP Pro. I heard the pc installed with Acronis True Image to give to this question. But my two PCs are installed with it. Any solution.
What I've tried so far on my pc (XP Pro):
1. click on start, run, type regedit, and then click OK.
2. Locate and double-click the following registry subkey:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Lsa
3. on the right side, double-click restrictanonymous setting.
4. make sure that that the value in the value data box is set to 0, and then click OK_ (why the default value is 0. I change it to 1, but always the same)
5. close the registry editor.
6. restart the computer.
I also tried to enable the allow anonymous enumeration of SAM accounts and shares on XP Pro (default value is Disable).
File and printer sharing exception is enabled in firewall. Don't have a firewall part 3The two guest account are capable of Simple file sharing in XP Pro box checked also checked.

I am running XP using firefox (SERVER NOT FOUND) also tried IE (PAGE NOT FOUND or some THING LIKE THAT SAME PROBLEM AS FF WORDED DIFFERENTLY) only the address bar will allow me to do the research. When I click on the blue writing on page research he always says server not found. Need to copy and paste website address or manually type in the bar. System Restore said I need to contact my domain administrator to access, what's new. Also even when you use the firefox address bar began to plant on a regular basis. Clean the cookies and cache without change. Tried a few other things start and run reset win socks or something don't me remember now has failed. Also a CBC site I just think appeared at a closed point, but he continued to hear that it works with no visual representation on screen had to reload. Tried changing to IE and changed to yahoo from google without change. This server not found - cannot find 1clicksearch.p.info or something. Check the line workoff checkbox is not a factor. Any help would be appreciated. Also, using service pack 3. I also tried an older version of firefox before IE, I noticed also wasn't yet cleared all the info like bookmarks which would focus on the old version. Not looked at proxy made no difference to no automatic option tried proxy. I did a lot of research using the address bar and search pages site address I found similar problems on son but not what I treat exactly. Also when I type in the box on the google page often the google search button and the button enter won't take me to the search page and I have to use a top bar or hit, I feel lucky. This last problem, according to me has been on for a while, but not much more than a problem.

Hi oraman,
You can check the broker for this config. Connect to the database with dgmgrl and get the config database:
See the verbose XXX database;
The parameter 'StaticConnectIdentifier' will tell you what data Guard Broker expects to find when it needs to restart a database. You must create a static entry to the listener with the service_name in this setting.
Make sure you have the "SERVER = DEDICATED" in the connection string. If you set this explicit, default oracle shared a connection via the server connection, which could cause your question.

Unable to connect to my server through my laptop using the selections of my network places.
I can't connect to my desktop (server) via my laptop using the selection of my network places, even if the shared my cell phone directories are available from the desktop (server). Any ideas on how I can fix this?
I recently installed McAfee Total Protection on my laptop.
Unlike the Windows Firewall, many third-party firewalls (such as McAfee) manage outbound as well as inbound traffic. Make sure that the firewall is configured to recognize your LAN as a "trusted network".
I can't tell you exactly how to do this because McAfee is not user guides for its most recent products available - you can use the built-in help of the product for the guidance system.

Automatic failover cluster Bugging head
Hi all
I am faced with continuous cluster due to network problem failover. I have two cluster CLUS1 and CLUS2, he got automatic failover cluster if all resources being normal. The error description is as follows: -.

Event source: vxio
Event category: no

I don't know, it's always because as the high utilization of the processor on a particular server or what. We have done several successful and trails w.r.to SAN, memory and performance optimization, but everything seems OK but even we in the face of this failover as a routine and fine.
Can you suggest me on the subject that... What all could be the possible reasons for this.
Better suggest me the solution from your end.
Also any suggestions and comments in brackets
+ Is the place pilot a gradation is a possible solution? [Even it will not be successful on one of the test of trail]
+ Increase SAN can be the solution? [Sufficient SAN is already there that again I ask]
+ Or memory problem? [Same memory is sufficient to perform the work]
+ It is not particularly over a certain period, as at the end of week or Monthened.
This shift has become a routine job, same everything seems fine? Please advise suggest his irritates my head a lot.

Automatic failover with Transport and apply Lag fails with ORA-16798
Hello
I configured a physical database maximum Performance, accelerated failover mode standby. I set FastStartFailoverLagLimit to 3 hours (10800 seconds). If I understand the Oracle documentation, Fast-Start failover should work with Max Performance, as long the Transport timeout is whithin the FastStartFailoverLagLimit.
So I started a few scripts, generated some loading, so I have a Transport and apply the shift of 3-4 Minutes.
Then I killed pmon to cause an automatic failover.Failover failed with ORA-16798.
I know, there is Note 846087.1 , which describes the problem, but I thought that automatic failover should work in this configuration.
Is this a bug or am I wrong?Thank you very much in advance.

Errors show a gap for sequences 34-37, which is not optimal for a fast failover.
Even if FastStartFailoverLagLimit is set to 3 hours, there is too much data loss for the standby site because newspapers are not available on the backup server and the Broker cannot activate the Pb of the day before.
I recommend to to lean on increase the bandwidth network.

How to set up the database restarts automatically when the server starts?
Hello
What is involved if I configure Oracle database starts automatically when the server is started/restarted?
I guess that change the following entry in/etc/oratab
TODEVDB:/u01/app/oracle/product/10.2.0/db_1:N
is not sufficient - there is more than that. But what is it?DEVDB:/u01/app/oracle/product/10.2.0/db_1:Y
We can also configure the listener to automatically re / start?
I guess that everything what is the solution, it will also apply to Oracle 11 GR 2 databases/ASM - right?
The platform is Redhat Linux 64 bit (version 4.7 & v5.9).
Thanks in advance!

Below is one example of autostart services database and the listener.

By comparing the different editions for an automatic failover
Hi all
I need to select a product of virtualization to a new project (VMware, Microsoft or Citrix). I did a lot of reading and I'm leaning towards VMware but I'm worried about the cost. The condition is to have two host computers physical (for redundancy) connected to an external storage with the possibility of performing automatic failover, while if one host fails other pics upwards. I also need to be able to back up the entire configuration, including all the VMS tape so that I can recover if the whole system is out of service.
My question is that the high availability feature that is included in the Standard edition can do, or if I should also get the functionality DRS and VMotion which are only in the Enterprise edition.
Kind regards
No interruption of service there is nothing from now...
HA will ensure that your virtual machines are fed to another node in a cluster, HA has allowed, in case of failure of the host or an isolated situation. HA may also be able to on a VM when VM honor as a characteristic of expermintal.
DRS will be dynamically balancing the resources in the cluster and the availability of resources for each virtual computer.
vMotion is a live migration of a virtual machine in a cluster or farm of hosts with compitable CPUs. But the ESX Server hosting work inorder to facilitate a vMotion of a VM.
SVMotion is a live migration of a virtual machine in data warehouses, such as local storage storage SAN/iSCSI based, while the virtual machine is still in service.
SRM is the site recovery Manager, which allows you to switch to another site in the same set site is inaccessible.
Fault tolerance is the next feature that allows you to run your H/W failure continuously, without interruption of service in case of VMs or any other type of failure of the host.
For now, you should be good with the standard edition, which supports H, since no interruption of service, it is not what you are looking for immediately.
I hope this helps.
