Automatic maintenance is delayed

Hi, thank you for taking the time to read my question.

I have two questions, we're three doubts and the other, a problem.

  1. Home Group
As far as I know, groups can be used to connect to computers in the same House (or perhaps proximity). This feature requires LAN? Can I connect to other computers a bit or away from me? He doesn't are not all computers in my house, but still to try, I started in the center of the Action. Now, it seems changed in some places and also appears in the libraries? Based on responses to previous questions and my statement, is there a need/how to return it return NULL?
  2. Stuck in the automatic Maintenance
My action Center seems always shows me the message to run the automatic maintenance. I already did and I don't know why he continues to show me even. As soon as the maintenance is completed, it shows me the message again in the center of the action. How can I solve this?

Thanking you before any aid.

Hey riri,.

Thanks for the reply.

I would like to inform you that the problem be resolved itself before I tried your solutions provided in the last post. I didn't write in the original post, but it happened once before. Be it resolved, at this time, but this time, it took more time. I would like to know the reason why this is happening.

Thank you.

    Help, please

    Hi Danish,

Please provide detailed information about your question. I appreciate the step by step troubleshooting, and pain that you have taken to resolve your problem. However, there are a few steps more that we can try to diagnose the root cause and resolve the problem.

    1. You are logged as administrator?
    2. Did recent changes (hardware or software) on your computer?

Try it out below mentioned steps to check where the issue is limited.

    Step 1:

Start the computer in safe mode.

Try to start the computer in safe mode and see are you able to login in safe mode or not. You can see the article mentioned below to start the computer in safe mode. After starting the computer in safe mode try to check the status of your problem.

Start settings for Windows (including safe mode)

    Step 2:

If your computer runs fine in safe mode, I suggest you perform the clean boot.

Put your system to the clean boot state helps determine if third-party applications or startup items are causing the problem. You must follow the steps in the article mentioned below to perform a clean boot.

  • Automatic maintenance is always delayed

I have Windows 8 and everything was smooth until a few days or weeks. Now, Action Center is always displayed the error message: "The automatic Maintenance has been delayed" and he tells me to run either run manually or it will be executed automatically. The thing is, it does not automatically more, it is set to run at 20:00 every day and is not... and when I run it manually, it starts and continues for a while but then it suddenly stops. I've read other threads with the same question and answers, but nothing has worked. Also, I noticed that if I turn off the monitor and it goes back, what happens if you press a key or move the mouse, but I don't touch the computer at all.

  • Windows 8 ~ always delayed automatic Maintenance, in the center of the Action message does not disappear.

    Hello

Having a problem with the automatic Maintenance since I got back from vacation 10 days in Greece.

Essentially Action Center tells me to run maintenance to optimize my computer, I run it and then about 15 minutes later, he stops and the message reappears just say I need to perform maintenance. The only things that take any CPU in the interview is the Service Host: System and Disk Defragmenter. Also the date of execution is timed correctly.

I tried the system restore to a date before I went on vacation (when it worked perfectly fine) and then perform maintenance, but it's the same thing. Although he said this time my anti virus is obsolete, I guess it's only due to the good restoration. He was disabled during the part of the interview and then turned back on.

I went into task scheduler and it says the following next to regular maintenance: "the operator or administrator has refused the request. (0x800710E0).

I frankly don't know what to do now, I can simply hide the message but who don't get rid of the issue. I don't understand how it could very well be June 21, but may not be good when I come back on 1 July, I tried for 2 days to solve this problem, but nothing works right now.

I'm still trying now, but any help would be appreciated, it's really bugging me.

    Thanks for reading.

Would like to point out that it is now FIXED!

I've updated to 8.1 Windows today and Action Center maintenance works perfectly now, in fact all of the computer runs faster than ever. So I think it was some compatibility issues with some updates for Windows 8.1 or something.

So yes, if anyone has this problem on Windows 8, certainly thinking about upgrading. I'll report back if it starts again, but for now, fortunately corrected.

Thank you all for the help!

  • The automatic maintenance status

    Dear support team,

I have noticed that over the last two weeks, Auto Maintenance message does not change.
I ran the process several times, but it still shows the message: "automatic Maintenance has been delayed. Maintenance tasks will run at the next scheduled time, or you can start maintenance now. »

Please let me know if there is the solution for this problem.

If you need more details on my system, I'll be happy to provide.

    Hi karima,.

    Thanks for the reply.

    Perform the steps mentioned here.

Automatic maintenance is supposed to stop in ~ 2 seconds the computer stopping of inactivity according to MSDN: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/hh848037(v=vs.85).aspx

If it is not the case, you may need to manually stop. I've included steps to do this:

    1. Click on the lower left corner to open the splash screen.
    2. Type of schedule tasks in the start screen
    3. Click settings
    4. Click schedule tasks
    5. Go to Task Scheduler Library\Microsoft\Windows\TaskScheduler
    6. Click with the right button on a regular maintenance
    7. Click on Properties
    8. Click on the settings tab
    9. Put a checkmark in the box to task to allow to run on demand
    10. Click OK
    11. Right-click a regular maintenance new
    12. This time, click run
    13. Click right regular maintenance again
    14. This time, click on end.

Hope this information helps. Response with status so that we can help you.

  • Automatic maintenance starts automatically

HOW CAN I STOP MY COMPUTER TO DO MAINTENANCE AUTO THAT I DON'T KNOW WHAT IT IS? MICROSOFT AUTOMATICALLY DOING MAINTENANCE ON MY COMPUTER, EVEN IF I TRY TO NEVER DO WITHOUT CHECKING FIRST WITH ME! IS IT POSSIBLE TO COMPLETELY STOP MY COMPUTER STOP ANY MAINTENANCE OPERATION, UNLESS I SEE IT FIRST, AND WHAT THEY WANT TO DO?

    Hello

Thanks for posting your question on the Microsoft community.

I would like to know some information about the problem so that we can help you better.

What version of Windows is installed on your computer?

Thank you for details on the question and your efforts to resolve.

The automatic maintenance Windows reduces the impact to the PC in planning maintenance only when the PC is powered on and idle. By default, the system performs maintenance every day at 03:00. (Note that the user can set a new appointment in case of maintenance). This session is limited to a maximum of 1 hour per attempt. If the user is actively using the machine, the system differs maintenance until a later date. The system suspends also maintenance running any task, if the user returns to the PC.

We do not recommend disable you the automatic maintenance. However, if you want to disable, you can do it at your own risk. Please follow these steps:

    a. press Windows + R keys, type taskschd.msc in the immediate window and press ENTER.
    b. in the Task Scheduler, click with the right button on "maintenance of Maintenance & regular idling" and select "disable".
    c. you can now exit the Task Scheduler window and check if it is disabled or not.

    I hope this information helps.

Please let us know if you need more help.

    Thank you

  • 700 - 230aq envy: the automatic maintenance

My computer runs the automatic maintenance.  The Action Center icon is present on the left side of the taskbar background next to the icons to access volume control and the internet.   It indicates the maintenance is done.  The program has been running for at least 48 hours already.  The last time this happened, he ran for 3 days.   Does anyone one of which happens and is this normal?

Try to press Ctrl Alt Delete simultaneously to bring up the Task Manager. Often, it will appear as if a running program has stopped working, in your case looking for HP action Center or center of the Action. 48 hours is too long & I don't think it's normal at all. I can't think any task he do that would take anywhere near that time.

You can open Action Center to see what he does? I think it should open even when it is running.

I'll leave a join 'Expert' here.

  • Windows 8 blocks when starts the automatic Maintenance

I have a DELL Inspiron desktop computer with windows 8. When I leave the computer for a little automatic maintenance start and programs and then crash and nothing starts. CTRL-ALT-DEL will not bring anything. A few pop - ups can work for the taskbar a bit, until even those who refuse to work. Side bars may appear when the mouse enters in a corner, if not too much time has passed, but then will stick and be non-responsive as the rest of the system. I have to turn off and restart the computer to get windows in market order manually.

I have read and tried the 3 steps listed here, but no problem was found. I suspect a corrupted file or update somewhere in the system, but do not know what files to look at.

    Unfortunately, I don't have the windows disc 8 on-site.

Thanks, just thank you. I agree, I want to know why we don't know EXACTLY what made this program stupid and why we cannot turn off completely / permanently if we so choose.

In any case, I had this problem but it seemed to have worked himself so I consider this closed. My apologies.

  • laptop freezes when performing automatic maintenance

My sony vaio SVE15137CGW (Windows 8) started to freeze when the automatic Maintenance starts (after staying idle for a few minutes). A black clock appears on the task bar, so I know that the service is running. I can market to stop the gel which is a real nuisance.

What could cause this problem and how can I solve this problem? How can I disable the automatic maintenance until I solved the problem? I followed the instructions on the Web page below, but the interview turned on even once after a reboot:

    Hello

Automatic maintenance facilitates efficiency slowed and allows the activity to execute in a timely and prioritized way. So, the event that is configured to run will begin when the previously described (defined by default at 02:00 every day).

the default configuration from the active automatic maintenance should do no harm at all. However, personal computers are not always lit, and nor are they heavily loaded by processes or data. Therefore, it is recommended to disable the automatic maintenance in personal computers to avoid the processing overhead.

After the automatic maintenance turned off, you can manually optimize your PC by manually initializing the command CHKDSK of disk defragmentation, etc..

You can check the link to find out how to disable the automatic Maintenance using Task Scheduler tasks:

Refer to the suggestion which is marked as an answer:

If you do not find the same performance after you disable the automatic Maintenance, reactivate tasks.

  • Automatic maintenance cannot be stopped on Windows 8-64 bit OS

Automatic maintenance works for the last two months. When I try to stop the automatic maintenance in the center of the action, he gives no answer.

    Hi Adam,.

If you are logged in using an administrator account?

Windows 8 automatically performs a number of maintenance tasks for you, including the diagnoses of the intelligent system, to check if updates are available for your software and perform security scans. Auto maintenance done too many functions, switch it off completely is not advisable.

Automatic Maintenance runs normally at a time when the computer is idle. When it detects that the computer is used both in the demand for auto maintenance, then it does not start automatically, and instead, he waits for the next time when the computer is idle.

Apparently, it is not possible to turn it off completely. You could disable at least starting to wake your computer.

You can view the MSDN blog to change the settings for Maintenance and to get more information about the automatic Maintenance on Windows 8:

  • Automatic maintenance in the center of the action is not working properly

Original title: WIN X 64 8.1 maintenance program.

I've scheduled maintenance program to run every day. If I check if it was done he confirms that he has - BUT usually it is supposed to be run a few minutes, or up to 20 minutes earlier than my check - BUT if I manually start the program lasts only for an hour or more? How can it be? -J' launched a full implementation earlier and she is always being 2 hours later (while I type this see-Manager tasks indicates use of the processor to 57% used by the executable of the service antimalwear - att.) Something is wrong or my idea of system maintenance is far from beam? Answers please.

    Hello Anthony,.

    Thanks for your quick response.

I suggest you to try the two steps.

Let me explain what is the start-up in minimal mode and what he would do to your computer.

Clean boot is mainly a technical troubleshooting used to identify and resolve performance issues in the start-up process, including conflicts of software, error messages and more. The usual features, appearance, device support and other optional features may be restricted generally to a clean boot. This is done to help the system administrator to diagnose and identify the problem within each component. When the problem is resolved, the computer can be restarted again to restore all the features and the functionality of a normal operating environment.

For example, as you described here that you use registry cleaner which is a third-party program and clean boot allows to check if the cleaner registry or any other third-party program is not in conflict.

In addition, during the execution of boot you will lose any applications or data.

I would ask you to please post back with the results so that we can help you further.

    Thank you
