Automatic resizing of large images to PDF to open

I have a very big PDF that I need to open it in Photoshop (it's a picture of model). The size of the image is 125,9843 "x 91,5354".

However, when I open in Photoshop the image is automatically resized to about 106 "x 79". I tried to manually enter dimensions when opening the file, however, when I open the file and "Image size" control dimensions are 106 "x 79" again.

I can open the image in Illustrator to size automatically, and the PDF itself is in the right dimensions.

Does anyone have an idea on how to fix this?

[I use Photoshop CS5.1]

Hmm, I've been looking into

http://www.signs101.com/forums/archive/index.php/t-97325.html

You can try:

When the dialog opens, change the resolution to slightly lower somehting (may require experimentation). The thread also suggest to change the pad or bleed blox to another setting and then back?

Let me know how it goes

  • How to I resize a larger image 72 DPI to the smaller image quality but of good size stick in the brochure

Hi, I'm trying to resize a larger image from wide 16 cm saved at 72 dpi for a smaller image of wide from 5 cm to quality for the prompt for an art show I'm having. I think there a lot of information on the picture therefore it is great, I just want it condensed into a smaller image. If I adjust the size of 5 cm wide, it changes the dpi to 230 which would be better for printing (the 72 dpi is much too grainy). However when I stick it in the flyer that I do in photoshop it sticks like a massive picture. I then tried to drag the corners to make the right size and it became even longer than a 5cm wide 72 dpi image. I hope that makes sense for a person. So basically I need a large document size of 5cm that I can put in my small circular which is the best quality that I can do! Thanks in advance!

What the PPI is the file that you are trying to drag in?

You are able to view your office showing the two files... ?

If you convert 16 cm/72 DPI image in the image of 5 cm/240ppi and then save. Then check the ppi with the flyer. If the flyer is still important with a low resolution will give you the cross between them so the magnified image of the ppi is displayed in big on the flyer paper.

  • Photoshop CS5 crashing my Mac when resizing of large images

I have not much to explain this further, but Photoshop CS5 crashes my Mac when I resize large images.  Small images are very good but big 300 dpi images it crashes without warning.  Don't know what to do.  The only other similar thing is that after Effects CS5 crashes my Mac when I cut a clip.  It completely disables my Mac when I cut a clip.

I have 8gigs of Ram and am under iMac 27 "Core i5

    Any help would be appreciated!

    Thank you

    HAL

    Solved!     Thank you all.

Yes, it's the RAM. Despite the Ram chips all being the same type and properly spec'd and be swapped round and reinstated by replacing them with a manufacturer different type solves the problem.

If someone else decided to buy third-party Ram for their 27 "iMac - buy the Samsung because they seem to work without problem.

  • Web site automatically resizes too large for the window of the browser without creating scrollbars.

I recently installed FF. There is a specific Web site, I'll often that works very well in other major browsers. However, when I access it in FF, the window is displayed correctly for a split second and then re - resizes automatically to a size that does not fit within the browser window. I can't use 'CTRL -' to bring it back in full view. In addition, there is no scroll bar after resizing. I have reset FF to its default state and I restarted with modules disabled without result. This is a site based on Silverlight, if it has an impact any on the situation. Any suggestions?

I just found a simple solution that solved my problem.

Although CTRL + and CTRL - do not work on this Web site, I've done the bar of menus visible ("Firefox |") Options | Bar menu") and was then able to use the" View | " Zoom | Zoom out' to get the site Web fit in the browser window.

For some reason, the site was being automatically zooms in when you access first with a new version of FF. Once I zoom out using the menu instead of CTRL-, I was able to close the browser and reopen it and it "remind" the zoom level for the site.

  • Paste an image as new layer: no way to disable automatic resizing?

If I stick a picture on a smaller, CS5 will automatically resize itself it so that it fits in the frame. You can then manually turn in its original size, but this is awkward for what I do, so I was wondering if there was a way that disabled so that it keeps the original size (with parts of the layer being off screen). Even better would be if I could just paste without automatically enter free transform, as in earlier versions of Photoshop.

    Thanks in advance.

You can turn off 'free transform' in preferences/general

  • Automatic resizing of Muse

    Hello world!

Adobe Muse automatically resizes the photos you put in a lightbox? Ive added a few photos to an album and they are all quite large, like 4912 x 7360 pixels and large 21MB.

I introduced the site previews and rightclicked image and downloadet it, now it has a size of 531 x 780 pixels and size 82KO...

Can I add the big pictures and let muse resize them? Or, the pictures are the same size and make my slower site?

    Help?

If so, you have configured your site as a site HiDPI (Page Properties), which should double in size in pixels.

  • Resizing of the Image window in Photoshop using Javascript

I write a lot of scripts using the ScriptListener as my basis for obtaining my scripts. Is one of the steps that I need to resize the Image window, so I can properly place a logo on an image. When I resize the image using the file > automate > Fit Image. The Image window shrinks down and I have to use control 0 or command 0 to resize the image window to be able to view a larger image on the screen to place the logo.

It is the size of the Image window after file > automate > Fit Image

    Size After Fit Image.jpg

I need to do ot more window Image using Ctrl or command 0

    Size After Fit Image2.jpg

ScriptListener does not this step control or command 0 record.

Is there a script that someone knows who does?

It would be a time saver great if there were.

    Thanks in advance for help.

  • Automatic resizing function

    Hi all.

I created a Windows XP virtual machine.  During the process, I selected the option to automatically resize the XP VHD as it grows.  Then I ran sysprep, stop it and supported the .vmwarevm image.  Then I copied the VM image to another workstation running VMware.  I was invited afterwards, while he was working under XP, I have run out of space.  I tried to add more virtual hard disk space, but he did create another virtual hard disk.  -Meaning, it does not develop the drive hard primary vm.  Under Windows, when I look at the C: drive: it's an 8 GB HD, 7.5 of it is used my the BONES and the rest is not attributed.  Oh...  I also ran gparted and it showed only 8 GB of space, not my 250 Gig drive.

So my million dollar question is...

How can I configure automatic resizing of the main vm drive again?

(I hope I don't have to rebuild every virtual Windows environment on all the workstations individually.)

    I'm under VMware Fusion v. 1.13 (94249)

    Thank you.

Since you use Fusion 1.x, you should take a look to resize a ramdisk for Windows Guests.pdf also written by Pat Lee before Fusion 2.0 and the document of resizing of the ramdisks with step by step Instructions cover not to resize the virtual hard drive of Fusion 1.x however extend partition is treated in both.

The thread for the linked PDF is: resize virtual disk for Windows guests with step by step Instructions

  • automatic resizing of navigation

I wonder if there is a way to avoid the empty parts of the diagram (or front) in the Navigation window, something like an automatic resizing. After optimized block diagrams, stills of browser window displays the original large window with empty spaces on each side! Manual resizing does not help, because it zooms in everything.

You have probably some lost object completely to the right or down

Hover over your white area on the right edge of the browser window.  Slowly, scroll up and down to see if any small object is displayed.   Do the same on the bottom left/right scrolling.

In fact try the bottom edge first.  Due to the longer, I think there is a little bit better that 50-50 chance a small object is near the bottom rather than the right side.

  • Page automatically resized to the browser window

Hello!  I am loving the trend having sites which pick up just about any window and build one for a client.  When I view in the browser it looks great, but I want to ensure that the site automatically resized for each screen size of viewers so there is no scroll from left to right.  My site will adapt itself to the size of the screen of each spectator even though my page size is set larger, or is there a setting I need to change?

What you ask is delicate design is not yet available in Muse... I would say joining the pre-release version of Muse.

  • resizing of the images smaller

I am trying to resize an image to a smaller size, but I keep losing the image quality. I understand losing quality if I was the bigger picture, but is there a way to make the smallest mage without loss of quality. Or at least a workaround solution? I have a logo as well as a screenshot, I'm trying to insert a marketing document that I am putting together. Does anyone have advice for me? Thank you.

Whenever you resize a raster image quality will be lost. It is more obvious when you enlarge it, but when you reduce the size you also lose the quality. This is due to the fact that the pixels that make up the image are resampled, and it isn't a "perfect" way to recalculate the. When you reduce the size of the image generally the image will look a little blurry and losing some details. When you are in the Image/image size window, you can change the size of your file now "resample" option on and try the algorithm diverse offering of Photoshop, you can find them in the drop-down list, preview, if the final effect. The "Automatic" option will choose for you, but you can also decide to use an alternative, with bicubic more net Photoshop will add more contrast. If you are not always satisfied with the details, once you resize your image I suggest you add sharpness filters to get some details back.

BTW, logos must be in vector graphics, in this way, you have no problem resizing and design will be clear and constant in all sizes.

    Hello

Please check if you have any element outside of the area of the page.

    To check the same:

    • Open the site with Muse
    • Press Ctrl + 0 (Cmd + 0 for Mac), to tailor the site to the window
    • Press Ctrl + A (Cmd + A Mac), select all
    • And check if any element is located outside the width of the page

Also, check the same for master pages.

Let me know if this helps.
