• Paste it into a new layer problem

  I get an error when I try to paste an object or text in a new layer in Illustrator.

  I'll create a new layer and select it in the layers palette, but when I go to paste the object or the text fits in the layer it comes.

  I tried to lock all other layers, and then selecting the layer new/unlocked to stick in, but then I get the:

  If you have layers remembers dough checked in the layers flyout/list drop-down palette, uncheck it.

  N ° you really don't want to paste it into an existing layer. I would say that most of the time, once you paste, you need to adjust the position of the pasted image placement, so you would need it on its own layer.

  You must save it as an image (png, jpeg, gif).  You have imaging software?  If you have a PC, you should have the Paint program in your accessories.  You can paste the screenshot into it and save it as one of these types.

  Perhaps you missed to copy it paste because he used the Ctrl + C Ctrl + V shortcuts that would not be seen in a video. It would look like a brake in a video...
